LuLu's Bridal Boutique

I visited Lulu's twice while dress shopping. It was a low-pressure environment and the consultant did an excellent job sticking to my budget. My family and I had a great time! The store may be small, but they have a ton of dresses. Lulu's is very affordable and the staff is so sweet!

Lulu's is a cute little boutique in Uptown that is a part of Stardust Celebrations. After going all over town trying on dresses, I finally found my dress here. They were informative on what the designer could do and how long it would take. They called me to let me know my dress was in and allowed me to pick it up that day. They even blow bubbles the day you buy your dress. It was a really good experience.

Basic Timeline:-Late June/Early July: The dress arrived at shop over 3 months before my wedding.-July/August: I had two alternation appointments.- Saturday, August 27th: At the third appointment, a deep purple stain about two to three inches was discovered on the train. When they called to state they had cleaned it, I returned (from 30 minutes away) to confirm. Unfortunately, that stain was now a lightly worn/transparent spot. Regardless, it was suggested I try the dress on because I could only see it because I knew where it was. When I placed it on, a new larger (yet lighter stain) was now in a different spot also on the train. Then, I was I told I would be called with their game plan by end of business Monday and all my alternation would be compensated.-Monday, August 29th at 5:55 PM, I called them, as I had not been contacted. At this time, I asked for an update and was told a cleaner had completely addressed the issue, and I could inspect it at my convenience. I set an appointment for Friday.-On Wednesday evening, I received a call that my dress has not been successfully cleaned, and actually, they would have to order a completely new dress. They had not spoken with Mori Lee yet about a delivery date but would follow up. At this point, I requested they speak only to my mother, as I work during their business hours and was concerned I could not handle following up with them and/or getting any more bad news, especially during my working hours.-It took them several days and a few follow up calls, but they eventually said the delivery date for my new dress for my October 8th wedding was September 30th. They offered to keep my original dress for the measurements to help with the next dress and for my bridal portraits, which were now a week away. Shortly following that, I declined the dress for my portraits and cancelled the session. I did not feel comfortable taking pictures in a dress that was no longer “mine.”-A follow up call by my mother a week before the delivery date, lead to a discovery that the delivery date had been moved to October 3rd without that being communicated. When reminded that they promised no later than September 30th and that the October 3rd would not even give them a week to alter it, the date was moved up to the September 29th. Without my mother’s follow up, it would appear they would have just let this date slip with no notification.-I had three additional appointments (spending precious hours the week before the wedding on something that should have been done a month before). Since two of the three were during the week, I had to attend one without a second pair of eyes.-I will report that in the end I did in fact wear a dress from Lulu's down the aisle but to do so I had a lot extra stress, lost time due to extra appointments and phone calls, and tossing and turning at night for fear that the dress would not work out.Note: The manager and owner never reached out to me or my mother, only assistant managers and the alternations lady, Ruth. My mother finally met the owner when we picked up the dress because he happened to be there. At that time, he said he would talk to the staff about liquids near the gowns. There was no apology for the lack on communication on his staff’s part. Overall, he implied we should just appreciate that we had the dress in hand (two days before the wedding).Summary: If you are thinking of gambling with LuLu’s, my advice to any friend would be that based on my experience, three extra appointments (in addition to the traditional 3), lack of communication, numerous phone calls (to keep informed), wishy-washy information, and the resulting stress are absolutely not worth the free alteration LuLu's compensated me with.

Lulu's is a small boutique near downtown Dallas. They carry gorgeous dresses at affordable prices. They are very professional and extremely helpful. My daughter bought a beautiful dress that had a fitted bodice and a large bow at the waist. The dress was stunning. Guests thought we spent five times what we actually did on the dress! The ordering process and the alterations went off flawlessly. It's fun to do the bubble dance when you make a purchase!!! Charming house and charming ladies to help you!

Lulu's has a great selection of wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. Everyone there is very knowledgable and their prices are very reasonable compared to other bridal boutiques. You also get a discount on their bridesmaids' dresses if you order your dress from them, and Ruth that does their alterations is fantastic!

I LOVE LuLu’s!! The store is on the small side, but I found the selection and customer service to be amazing - much better than the larger shops I visited. The bridal consultants were very knowledgeable and very patient with me, and I appreciated all the personal attention I was given when looking for my gown. There was no pressure to buy – and I was definitely in and out a few times trying to decide and pick the perfect gown. I ended up getting a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, so I could have purchased it from many bridal shops, but nothing compared to the experience at LuLu’s, so I had to get it there (it was the lowest cost too)! Ruth did my alterations and she was amazing. She even completely changed my bustle (at no extra charge) when I realized I just hated the way it looked initially (my fault). She too was very understanding and just made the process so easy and smooth. The alterations did take a little longer to turn around than I would have thought, but Ruth is the only one so it is understandable. I love my wedding gown and am so pleased I purchased it from LuLu’s!!

Loved LuLu's. Had to get my dress altered somewhere else though because they only have one alterations lady and she books up pretty fast. Great one on one attention and system for getting the dresses you want to try on vs what the consultant wants you to try on.

I had a pretty good experience with them while shopping for the dress. At first the consultant kept pulling what she thought I wanted even though it was opposite of the words that came out of my mouth. After about 10 minutes and a few rejections we got on the right track. I found my dress and they helped me customize it. The sample fit and I was working out and losing weight so we ordered 1 size (2 inches) smaller. The dress came in sooner than expected and was NO WHERE near fitting. After a few tears and a little freak out we discovered the sample (from 2006) was stretched out 4 inches larger in some areas than the stock measurements so that is why the dress was 4-6 inches from fitting. I was basically told it was my fault for not getting measured which I should have known better than to just trust the sample but I didn’t.

I had a great experience trying on dresses at LuLu's. They were very helpful and attentive, and their seamstress is fantastic.

I bought my wedding dress here on a Saturday afternoon that was not busy at all. It was a great experience with only a few of the important people in my life. The consultant helped find dresses and gave me a fun experience. I went back to pick up my bridesmaids dresses on a different Saturday and it was a madhouse, so I am glad that I didn't experience it that day. It was under my budget and a beautiful Pronovias dress that had everyone talking. It was the perfect experience for me.

Best experience. No pressure to buy, which I loved. It took me a good month to decide to drop the cash to look like a million bucks, and they didn't even call to harasss me. I loved that. It was a nice, small store experience. I didn't feel swallowed by the millions of dresses like at other bridal stores. Teresa was my consultant and she was helpful and amazing. Ruth, who does alterations made my life so easy. She pinned me up, and handled business. They made this process,which I deemed overwhelming, soo easy.

Lulu's is a cute little place in uptown Dallas. I really found the ladies there very sweet and helpful. They have beautiful gowns and plenty of bridesmaids dresses to see. It can get crowded, especially on the weekends, and its a small place, so the wait can get a little long. But, if you plan accordingly, no problems! You can get your fittings and alterations done there also, mostly after hours, so its convenient if you work during the day!

LuLu's bridal boutique did a wonderful job helping me find THE DRESS!! The boutique is so cute, and when I purchased my dress they turned on music, blew bubbles and started clapping it was so sweet!

Well I had a wonderful experience with Lulus for my first actual shopping experience. It's very boutique and they have nicely priced, beautiful dresses. I was with Kim and she is a doll! I found the dress of my dreams and decided to buy. So when I went back in there, another lady who wasn't my original consultant had to do my measurements. She was very rude and put out that she was having to do this and rushed me in all my decision making. When the dress came in it was about six inches too short! The lady did not think to order extra length for my 5'9 frame. I have now finally gotten my dress taken care of but had to alter the original design and pay extra money for the alterations. I am two weeks away from my wedding and have not gotten my portrait done because of this huge mess!

I purchased my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses at Lulu's and was happy with the service I received. I worked with Elaine who has been doing this for years. She seemed very knowledgable and had lots of suggestions of things the alterations lady could do with the dress if I wanted changes (adding different kinds of straps to a strapless dress, etc). I was pretty thrilled when I received my bridal gown and it fit perfectly except for the length. I had their alterations lady do the alterations and she seemed to know what she was doing (although my alterations were pretty simple). I was pleased with the service. The only drawback is that the fittings for alterations were done at the Plano store (Stardust) and not the downtown Dallas shop since the Dallas shop is pretty small. It wasn't too much of an inconvenience, but something to be aware of.The shop is small, but they do have a good selection of wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. They also have trunk shows fairly frequently and often offer discounts on those dresses. The wedding dress I ordered was from a fairly new designer out of Barcelona. I did not see that dress in any other shop I went to. It was perfect and exactly what I was looking for (simple & elegant). One thing to keep in mind - don't bring a whole crowd with you to try on dresses. There just isn't a lot of extra room. One day I was there a bride came in with about a dozen people and it made it really difficult for other customers to get around the shop. Saturdays seemed to be really busy - Sundays were a little better and of course weekdays were the least crowded. I would definitely recommend Lulu's - I was very happy with my dress and the bridesmaid dresses we ordered.

If you're looking for a place where dress shopping is fun, look no further than LuLu's! If you're shopping for a Maggie Sotterro dress in Dallas there is no better place. Great selection, wonderfully friendly staff, overall a great experience.

Lulu's is the cutest wedding dress shop ever!!!! They play the wedding song and blow bubbles for you when you get your dress lol :) And I absolutely LOVED my dress, my jewelry and my veil!!!! I wish I could wear my dress everyday!

I purchased my wedding dress from this boutique. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I tried on several wedding dresses before finding "the one" and then I tried that dress on twice before I decided it was definitely "the dress" and I never felt rushed. Ruth did my alterations and she did a fantastic job. The dress fit perfectly and the bustle looked great. I also had my dress preserved through Lulu's. I just dropped off my dress and they did the rest. I picked my dress up about 3 weeks later. It was all packaged up and ready to go.

Although I didn't end up buying my dress here, I found the ladies to be verrrry helpful!! They have a wonderful selection of dresses. I would definitely recommend looking here for a dress.

Lulu's was great. The only problem I had was getting anyone to come up front when I walked in the showroom. Ruth, the person who does their alterations is amazing. I really enjoyed working with her and she did a beautiful job.

I looked for dresses here and loved the store. I didn't end up getting the dress there, but they were so helpful. I definitely felt like I was trying on thousand dollar dresses, but without the price tags. Definitely would recommend them.

I loved everything about Lulu's Bridal! The room is small, cozy and relaxed as you search for your perfect dress in the cute victorian style house (made into a bridal store). The people are friendly and helpful and help keep that calm and happy, you're getting married!, mood. My dress was so beautiful and the girl that altered my dress there did a wonderful job. I also got a free veil with my purchase.

Great boutique! I was initially apprehensive because it seemed so small, but I had so many wonderful choices in dresses. Theresa assisted me and she was wonderful! Alterations were done perfectly too.

The ladies at Lulu's were wonderful to work with throughout the dress trying, buying, and altering process. They were full of good ideas and suggestions, and they always made me feel happy to be dress shopping there. And their tailor, Ruth, was absolutely great to work with as well. She was always very patient, kind, and friendly, and it was very evident that she is truly skilled with wedding dresses. Everyone at Lulu's was great to work with. I went there several times and tried on many, many dresses before settling on the one. When I finally made my choice, I looked around to see if I could find a better price, but no one could beat the price they had on my dress. I ordered the dress, and it came in on schedule. Ruth was very patient with me during my fittings, as I was very indecisive about what kind of bustle to choose. She also added cap sleeves to my dress that look like they were part of the original design. I enjoyed all my trips to Lulu's Bridal.

I cannot say enough good things about LuLu's. Their dresses are great and the alterations turned out perfect. Make sure you go on a weekday to get the best service.

Lulu's was great to work with! Most of the people there are very friendly. I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses from here. Everything with my wedding dress went well. There was a slight problem with my bridesmaids dresses. I ordered and paid (with a credit card) for 7 bridesmaids dresses on January 10th. They told me they would be in mid-March. So March 19 came around and I figured that I would give a quick call just to check on them. Well, come to find out, the order never got turned in until Mid-March and so the dresses weren't schedule to be here until the end of May. I was SO mad! I had purposely ordered them earlier for a couple of reasons, 1. I wanted to find shoes to match, and 2. I was wanting to pass them out at our couples shower on April 19th, so I didn't have to worry about shipping them to the out of town girls. I was not very happy, and I really wasn't happy with their response. Really, I didn't get much of a response from them. Basically it was a "Sorry" and "they'll still be here before the wedding." I just didn't think that was very good business.

Horrible customer service! I did in fact end up purchasing my dress here - but, only b.c. it was the only store with it available. Every time I left the store - I left frustrated and concerned about their reliability. No consultant was ever willing to work with me and their inflexibility was frustrating.I shopped six other boutiques - and everyone was far superior. Although I sadly had to purchase two dresses through Lulu's...

Lulu's was great. They helped me pick out my dress and veil and were able able to do the alterations at the store for me. Ruth, who does alterations did an amazing job and my dress fit perfectly!

I'm a Dallas bride living in Austin. The search for my dress was a long one; after about 50 dresses I finally found THE ONE in a shop in Austin. However the staff was horribly rude. I went on a search for the Blue Lable dress in Dallas (bigger market) and spent one exhausting day dress shop hopping with Step Mom, Mother in Law to be, and Granmda. After four other shops and lunch, I was ready to give up. The car full of women told me, lets try one more. We arrived at Lulu's and I described the dress, they had just gotten it in and no bride had tried it on yet. Five minutes later I was in THE Dress and in tears of joy! I spent the next 30 minutes on the pedestule in front of the mirror, not wanting to take it off. We bought the dress, when it came in I made my way back to Lulu's for my first fitting; it slipped on like a glove. We left the store as teh staff played here comes the Bride and blew bubbles. Love this store and staff; would recommend to everyone needing to find that perfect dress.

I absolutely loved my dress and my bridesmaids dresses! The only trouble that I ran into was the dresses that were shipped. Even though they were requested to be shipped by some of my girls, they waited for me to tell them to go ahead and ship them.

My sister and I both got our dresses her and my mom got both of her mother of the bride dresses here. The shop is cute and on your first visit they are wonderful. However, then there were problems with dress pick-up, delivery, alterations, etc. Maybe they just couldn't handle two of us at once!

I think I have been to just about every Bridal shop in Dallas County. I love Lulu's although I found my dress at Mockingbird Bridal first. LuLu's had a trunk show for Maggie Sottero, so I ordered it there. It took 20 weeks for my dress to come in and LuLu's was great about answering my frantic calls about when the dress would arrive. They have a large selection of veils and accessories. They also offer a 10% discount on bridesmaid dresses and accessories (I think they all do this now though). They are wonderful to work with and you don't need an appointment to try dresses on or just to look around. I showed up several times unannounced to find the perfect veil for my day. I highly recommend this shop for your bridal dress.

I really liked Lulus, they had the type of gowns I was looking for. And its a small little place that is cute and very personal. I found a perfect dress there and it came in great condition in a reasonable time. I didnt think I needed alterations until a week or two before the wedding, when I realized it was too long. They fit me in and made sure it would be ready for my day, and it was perfect. They did a great job.

I went to several bridal shops before coming to Lulu's. I found a few dresses that I liked, but noting I had to ha, and plus they were quite pricey. I found my dream dress at Lulu's within 20 minutes of being in the store. It was absolutely beautiful and only half as much as some of the other sshops I had looked at. The of the ladies that worked there treated me like I was the only one in the store and made me feel so special. The store really isn't that big, so I would definitely sggest going on a week day to shop. I guarantee you will find the perfect dress for you!! I've old everyone that I know to go to Lulu's for their dress :)

I loved Lulu's! I went in probably 3 times before I purchased my dress and another 3 or 4 times between when I purchased the dress and when it came in, just to try on the dress and show my bridesmaids and some family. They were accomadating every time. They open late so getting an appointment in the morning is out of the question and sometimes making appointments with the seamstress was a little difficult. I found my dress cheaper at another salon and had a coupon from there and they happily matched the price and honored the coupon.

I bought my dress from Lulu's and it was absolutely beautiful. The experience of trying one on there and finding one was such a joy! It is adorable and has this comfortable home feel. I highly recommend looking here!

My dress was the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. I got so many compliments that it was the classiest, most gorgeous, & most expensive looking dress! But, at Lulu's I got a huge discount. They treated my mother and me very well, just as they would their most wealthy client. The dressing rooms are very large and have only curtains for "doors", which helps you move around more - especially if you are the only one trying on. I would absolutely reccommend Lulu's to other brides.

I loved this boutique! I walked in on a saturday 15 minuites before closing, and they kept the store open an extra 45 minuites-even though I was upfront and told them I wasn't buying anything that day! Their customer service for my bridesmaids was excellant too, and they have dresses for every budget!
