I contacted Pretti about a week and a half before my wedding date, and she completely pulled through for me and my husband with a beautiful and delicious wedding cake at our outdoor wedding in Osage Hills State Park.
We had a Hummingbird cake (if you haven't had it before, you must!) and it was made with love that we could taste it in every bite. The only thing I could wish for was to have been able to have more! I'm usually not a fan of fondant, but whatever recipe Pretti used was tasty AND withstood the Oklahoma summer heat!
My aunt and my uncle helped out by picking up the cake, and they stopped and had a milkshake at Lulu's Bake Shoppe & Cafe and they told me that I had to stop in and try it out. The next time I'm in OK, I'm stopping in to say hello to thank her personally and get some more sweets!

Thank you SO much for your lovely review - please do stop by the next time you are in town, I would love to meet you! Also, if you have pictures of the cake cutting, we would love to have them for our records. Thank you again, you made my day.

My fiance and I had the sample of one of their signature cakes, the pink champagne cake, at the bridal show, and absolutely fell in love. It was moist and delicious. The owner was very kind to us, met with us and worked with the design to best suit our budget and desired look. I docked off some points because the cake did show up 45 minutes late, I was getting ready to walk down the aisle as it showed up, and my aunt said that the deliverer was very unapolagetic and even confused as to why we were worried. The cake did look just as I wanted it to. However, when we cut into it, it was white, not pink. My husband and I just had one little bite, and unfortunately did not get to eat any more, we were told that it tasted good, but my mom, who had also tasted the cake previously, said that it did not look like the cake or taste like the cake we had tasted before. The grooms cake, however, was everything we wanted and more, it was delicious, moist, and the design was adorable. Overall, I think it was good, as long as my guests liked it, but I was hoping that it would be a little bit better than "good," I'd probably consider somewhere else if I were doing it over again.

Thank you for your honest and kind review. Due to the extreme heat and humidity, the buttercream flowers on the cake were in danger of sliding off, so I took the time to freeze the cake for 30 minutes so it would be stable enough to transport. Hence the delay. I did apologize to your mother and aunt when the cake was delivered, though. As for the color of the cake, it comes from the pink champagne used to bake the cake. We changed the brand that we had been using, which resulted in a much paler pink color on the cake. I can assure you that the recipe used was still the same. I truly apologize for the disappointment you experienced with your wedding cake, and I will be contacting you privately to make it right. Glad you enjoyed the groom's cake, and congratulations on your wedding.

All the charm without the fluff. Preeti Waas of Lulu’s knows how to read your mind, wave her magic fairy spatula, and create a confectionary concoction worthy of royalty-for-a-day.
My family and I were (and continue to be) blown away by her creativity and the amazing food she makes. It’s a struggle to truly describe without tasting, but the word I’d use is sublime.

We were referred to Preeti Waas by our photographer. When we met with her she was extremely attentive to our needs and made some wonderful suggestions. We hired her to cater our wedding dinner and do the cake as well. The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. The cake looked exactly like the picture we provided to her and it was also delicious. Her staff was attentive to our guests and the dinner was a wonderful success. Afterwards she and her staff cleaned the reception hall and made sure everything was done according to our prior arrangements. I would highly recommend her for your wedding or any other type of catered affair. She is a true professional!

I choose LuLu's to do my wedding cupcakes and was extremely disappointed in the customer service and final product.
Preeti Waas, the owner, talked a good game at the beginning but just could not deliver in the end. She did not return my call for three days leading up the the wedding. When I finally went into the store, I was laughed off by the girl at the counter, told that my order was "just cupcakes," and not to worry... Preeti was in the middle of a personal crisis. Any bride can imagine how stressful and frustrating that was at 3PM the Friday before my wedding day.
Because I was a bit too busy to deal with them again the next day, and didn't want to be treated like the "crazy bride" again my dad handled the whole thing. Thank goodness, we had cupcakes.
However, the cupcakes were not what we ordered. We ordered filled. They were not. We ordered them to be decorated in three colors, they were not. The cake on top was supposed to be chocolate, it was not. The stand was supposed to be decorated, it was not.
While the large shop is now closed, she is now operating out of LuLu's To Go and Hamlet.
Brides - STAY AWAY if you don't want added stress on your wedding day. Everything else about my wedding was flawless except for this.

'Suzy' (not her real name), has every right to be upset about the lack of contact before her wedding date. What she fails to mention, though, is that every call, email or contact up until that point was handled in a very timely manner. Yes, I had a crisis that had hit just before her wedding. Yet, her order was still fulfilled. This bride has been callous, and heartless in her understanding of the situation, and the handling of it.
Her way of 'getting back at me' has been to withold my cupcake stand that was used to display her cupcakes AT NO CHARGE. I have lost my business, am about to lose my home, have had to lay off employees, and cause them to be severely affected, and this bride calls me yesterday to MOCK me. That, by the way, was the first time I had heard from her since her wedding over a month ago.
I have always stood behind my product, and will continue to do so. I have duly apologized, and would have been happy to address the situation in a professional manner. I have been doing wedding cakes for nine years, and this is the first time that there has been a lapse in communication.
