I recently got married on October 13th, 2012 in an outdoor venue out near Palm Springs. Thanks to Lumiani, it was the most magical night of my life. Nhu and her team are nothing short of phenomenal.
The most impressive aspect about Nhu is that working with her is like working with a close friend who is happy and eager to help. Our conversations were always relaxed and filled with laughter. Nhu is organized, flexible and easy to work with. She picked up from where we left off with our vendors without a problem. I never waited for more than a few hours before hearing back from her. She saved us money by negotiating better deals with my vendors. Plus, several of our vendors told us that Nhu was BY FAR the most organized and professional wedding planner that they had ever worked with.
The few weeks before the wedding, she worked tirelessly to take everything off of my plate. She was happy to talk at any hour of the day that worked for my schedule, even when calls took place at 10pm. To decrease my load, Nhu literally offered to personally call each guest who had not RSVPd yet. She drafted e-mails to family members and the wedding party about the weekend schedule and times for photos. When I did not have the time to deal with wedding details, she designed my ceremony program, table place cards and menus to match my invitations. On the day of, I was able to relax and savor each moment because I knew Nhu would have everything under control. She delivered!!! Despite coordinating more than the average number of vendors for a wedding, EVERYTHING went smoothly and beautifully. It was ten times more amazing than I had imagined! I could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Nhu is so much more than a wedding planner. She has become a dear friend of ours. You would be lucky to have her by your side on your wedding day.

Lumiani Events helped make our outdoor wedding perfect! I never thought I could say that. We hired Lumiani early in our planning process on a recommendation from a friend and it turned out to be a great decision. Our coordinator, Nhu had, tons of experience and gave us advice on everything under the sun. She and her team made sure we spent money where it counts and told us what corners we could cut. We had some trouble with our caterer and DJ and Nhu stepped up and help coordinate and communicate with them so that we would not have to stress out. The entire wedding day was so well planned, everything took place right on time and we never had to worry about anything. We're extremely happy with how our wedding turned out and strongly recommend them to couples looking for help with their wedding. They cost more than we initially expected to pay for a coordinator, but it was completely worth it!

Nhu and her team at Lumiani Events are AWESOME! She's great at responding to emails, phone calls, and is very good at what she does. She's so accommodating and didn't rush or try to push us into anything. We would've had a seriously hard time keeping things together without her. Simply put, Nhu is the best coordinator you'll ever fine and I'd definitely recommend Lumiani events to anyone who is looking for a wedding planner. This was by far the best decision we've made for our big day!

I don't even know where to begin to describe how I feel about Lumiani Events. They really made my wedding day everything I have ever dreamt of it to be. Just by giving them a couple of details that I liked, they were able to put together ideas and final touches that just made the day perfect! There are not words to describe how much of a gift the team at Lumiani Events were to my family and I as we planned our wedding. Nhu is incredible. She is so generous with her time and creativity. Her background in law is real asset as you go through the process of signing contracts and hiring vendors. She honestly cares about you and your big day. Our wedding surpassed every dream I've ever had. It was gorgeous and I felt so calm the entire day knowing Nhu had everything taken care of. Honestly, hiring Nhu at Lumiani was the best investment we made in our wedding. The money she saved us with her knowledge of the investment was more than it cost to hire Lumiani. I can't believe how smooth my wedding ceremony and reception ran due to the ladies from Lumiani Events. Linda and Nhu took all of my wife and my worries away from the first day we started planning. There were some adjustments that needed to be made and they took care of without us knowing about it. My friends and family are still talking about how they loved the setup and decor of the reception. This was the doing of Lumiani Events. I will recommend them to anyone that wants to best wedding ever.

To say that Nhu and her team were amazing is an understatement. I could have never had the wedding of my dreams without Lumiani. I currently live in Philadelphia and had my wedding in Southern California. Nhu made everything so easy for me. She would meet with me anytime that I was in California and was incredibly accessible by phone and email. She met with vendors when I was unable to. I can say that there were several vendors which I never met with personally because Nhu took care of it. She made the entire process as stress free as she could. She made my parents and husband a part of the process without losing touch of my wishes. Nhu provided me with great suggestions that made my wedding even more beautiful. I work 10hs/ day, 5 days/wk, and my wedding was scheduled during the busiest work season. At the same time, I wanted a perfect wedding so I wanted to do everything myself. Until I realized I was not going to have enough time… I was introduced to Lumiani Events thru a friend and they were my savior!
First and foremost, they understood me! I would tell them key words to describe what I want and they were able to fill in the blanks and create an entire picture for me. From that, they execute it flawlessly...their ability to understand their bride and groom so well and translate their vision into reality is priceless. In addition to making my vision come to life, they are super organized and professional, which made working with them under such stressful circumstances so easy. I was in search of a day-of-coordinator and after meeting Nhu and Linda, I knew instantly that I wanted them to be part of my special day. Lumiani Events was a huge support throughout our wedding planning process. They are down-to-earth, genuine people that care about all the details. I had a lot of details to my wedding and at some moments, I was getting lost in my own ideas. Nhu was always there to provide suggestions and discuss each detail with me till my husband and I were able to make a decision.

In working with a wedding budget, Nhu provided helpful recommendations on how to save cost but still get what we want. She went out of her way to help us find the little details that added to our wedding decor. Without her help, we would not have had the unique, detailed decor that represented our wedding.

The day of our wedding was amazing. Nhu did a superb job with the timeline and we enjoyed every minute of our wedding. Everything was taken care of and her hard work was also acknowledged by friends and family. Nhu made sure everything was how we wanted and we ended up with our perfect wedding.

It was a great pleasure working with Nhu, Cathy, and the wonderful Linda. She made the whole wedding process seem so easy. Linda worked with us from the beginning of planning til the end of our wedding day. Linda went above and beyond our expectations.

My new husband and I were so busy after we got engaged, so we knew we needed help coordinating everything. Our friends referred us to Linda and her team and what a great investment that was. For all of the work they did, they were a steal.

Linda always keep the both of us updated and was on top of everything. Organization is key and she was definitely it. If you had any issues, Linda was always available to tend to your concerns. All 3 ladies were very professional and accommodating. When we had to meet with vendors, Linda or Nhu would be there. They knew what to do during our meetings and what to say. My husband and I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.

The day of our wedding, it was amazing! We've received so many complements and even our other vendors commented on how punctual and organized our wedding was. I thought I would be nervous, but because Linda was calm, I felt calm. We truly felt Linda and her team wanted to ensure our special day was special and it was!

We've been to many weddings and never been to a wedding that started on time, until we attended another friend's wedding that had the ladies of Lumiani taking care of their wedding. Our own wedding would be the second! It was a wonderful journey with the ladies of Lumiani! If someone were to ask us if we would like to do this wedding process again...we would want Lumiani to be part of the process...hands down! (however, this event is a one time deal)

Nhu went out of her way to make sure that I had my dream wedding. She always seemed 5 steps ahead of me, giving me ideas and suggestions to help me. She really seemed to understand what I wanted for my big day, and was able to give me ideas that fit perfecftly with what I wanted. My day would not have been perfect without all of her hard work, and going beyond the call of her job to make the day as stress-free as possible!

It was such a pleasure working with Cathy as our wedding planner. From day 1 we clicked so well that it felt like it was more of a close personal friend helping us plan our special day rather than someone we paid to help us coordinate our event.

Starting from the early months, Cathy helped us iron out all the small and big details. We had a very complex wedding which consisted of 2 cultural ceremonies, 1 wedding ceremony, 1 reception which included 5 different wardrobe changes from the bride and 2 from the groom with a huge guest list which she handled flawlessly. Cathy also treated more as friends then a client. With all that personal attention it was hard not to befriend her and her staff. She exceeded our expectations more than anyone could possibly imagine.

At our wedding rehearsal, it was mass confusion, we had 3 flower girls 2 ring bearers, and so much family just watching us, but yet cathy took care of all of it and finally restored order.

The actually day of the wedding i remember her coming to my room and greeting me with a hug and a smile full of excitement and joy. That feeling almost brought a tear to my eye, not only because i was excited to get married but a close friend was there to help me through the process. At the reception Cathy and Nhu were awesome! They were such pros at dealing with everyone, being that not everyone spoke english, someone they got everyone exactly where they needed to be at the right times.

On a personal note, I now consider Cathy a closer personal friend. I still chat with her almost on a daily basis about things not even related to the wedding. Now I know that I have not only gained a wife in the process but a friend for a lifetime!

Thank you so much Lumiani Events for helping me create the perfect wedding day!! A very special thank you to Nhu for all of her hard work!! Without out Nhu I don't know what I would have done - literally! She is a life saver. For any future brides trying to pick a wedding coordinator - you must know that Nhu is absolutely amazing! I can't tell you enough how highly I recommend Nhu and the entire Lumiani Events team! They are there for you from day one to help navigate through all the details. Nhu from Lumiani Events was such a blessing! She was well organized, detail oriented, flexible, meticulous, creative, professional, personable, and understanding. Not only did she work within our tight budget, but she really took the time to listen and put together our wedding based what we wanted, while keeping it uniquely us.

Being a bargain hunter, I spent countless hours scouting, surfing, calling, and emailing for the best prices out there. Nhu was so experienced and well connected that we were able to get great prices through her contacts. Her wedding coordination fee was nothing compared to the amount she saved us. Linda from Lumiani Events created a day for us that we will remember for the rest of our lives. She was there for us every step of the way. The venue, the flowers, the food, the entertainment, and the decor...down to every last detail.

We had the pleasure of meeting the ladies from Lumiani Events over a year ago. Since we had planned on having over a year and a half to prepare for our big day, we wanted a wedding planner that we could build a relationship with over the next year. Surprisingly, most of the planners we spoke to prior to meeting Linda were very reluctant to spending that much time with any couple. Most of the other planners said that they wouldn't even contact us until we were 2 months from the wedding day.
Since our wedding was such a huge milestone in our lives, we didn't feel like sharing it with just anyone. We needed to find that special someone that understood who we were as couple. For us that special someone was Linda.

Over a year of planning and coordinating finally lead us to our big day on 11/28/2010 at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. Linda and her team were there for us from beginning to end. We received so many compliments on how seamless the transition was for the entire day. The time line she created for us went off without a hitch. We were warned by so many of our friends that we shouldn't expect the day to go as planned. And to not get upset if the day wasn't perfect. Linda and the team at Lumiani proved them all wrong. The day for us couldn't have been any more perfect!!

We realized afterwards that managing and planning a wedding day schedule isn't hard. It's managing the different people and personalities involved with the wedding that will drive you crazy. Fortunately, we had Linda to shelter us from the madness and provide us with an absolutely flawless wedding day.

I cannot say enough about how much we loved having Lumiani Events plan and coordinate our wedding at the Montage Hotel Beverly Hills!!

They were professional, detail-oriented and most importantly put my wife and I completely at ease on what could've been the most stressful/disastrous day.

There was a 95% chance of rain on the DAY and TIME of our OUTSIDE wedding. Nhu Muon and her staff oversaw an extremely hectic day, play calling all of the vendors to work in perfect unison, first setting up the ceremony at an emergency plan B and setting up AGAIN outside to continue as planned when the rain broke 45 min. before just in time for our ceremony. Nhu and co. wrangled all vendors (florists, hotel staff, string quartet, lighting, stage builders, etc) to do double the work in setting up and did everything without stressing the wedding party out.

In addition to the day, Lumiani was very knowledgeable about costs and negotiated some amazing deals that helped save costs from spiraling out of control. We had what easily could've been a 100K plus wedding for a great deal thanks to Lumiani.

I recommend them whole heartedly to anyone that wants to lean on the experience of seasoned professionals and enjoy their wedding day.

We first saw Lumiani in action at our friend's wedding and were so impressed we had to have them for our wedding day! Lumiani Events was a TREMENDOUS support throughout our entire wedding planning process. A great deal of creativity and imagination went into personalizing each element of our wedding. No matter the task, Lumiani prevailed with a positive attitude and spirit. They are truly task masters and worked tirelessly and diligently to bring our love story to life. Their work ethic, professionalism, and organization was exceptional under pressure. We had a large wedding of 250 guests and a gigantic wedding party of 30 people. If you choose Lumiani Events to coordinate your wedding you won't be disappointed!

First of all, I have to apologize for this long overdue review. Our wedding was over a year ago and we finally got around to writing thank you cards and reviewing our vendors. So when my husband and I first got engaged, we knew right away that we absolutely did not want a wedding. Our initial plan was to elope to Thailand and have a quiet ceremony on the beach. But of course, things never happen the way you want it to be. Due to the pressure from our parents, we were suckered in to hosting a reception for our close family and friends. We were hoping for something simple, budget-friendly and stress-free so what we thought would be a reception dinner for 100 people became 300 plus. That’s when the stress and anxiety started developing…. After several panic attacks and the fact that we almost had to call off the wedding, my husband and I enlisted the help of Linda at Lumiani Events. Let me say that was the best decision we could’ve made. Although our contract stated for services for the day of, Linda went out of her way to help us with all the important and minor details prior to the wedding. What we appreciate the most was her email reminders on our “to-do” list and then the follow up calls. Without them, we definitely wouldn’t have been able to be on top of everything. Linda was kind enough to offer to make the table numbers and place cards for us which we did not expect at all. A week before the wedding, she contacted all the vendors and provided them with the schedule which was another task that we didn’t have to worry about. The morning of the reception, Linda drove over to our place to pick the party favors, toasting glasses, gift box, etc. She made sure everything was set up prior to the guest arrival. Because of her, my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves and the company of our guests. We didn’t have to stress over any of the details and if something did go wrong that day we wouldn’t have known. Linda was that good! At the end of the night, she paid all the vendors and nicely packed up our things for us. It was the perfect and stress-free reception that we were hoping for. More importantly, our family and friends (all 300 of them) said they had a great time. My husband and I ended up with the ceremony we wanted. On New Year’s Day, we snowboarded up Mammoth Mountain to exchange vows among a few of our closest friends. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful ceremony and then the perfect reception. Thanks to Linda for making it all happened! We wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without her help. Love you Linda!

With only 3 months to go, we were late in the game to start looking for a wedding coordinator. We had most of the details already in place, but we began to worry about how we would be able to oversee all the details of our big day and still be able to enjoy our wedding and fully take it in. Lumiani was happy to create a custom contract tailored to our personal needs, and pricing to reflect the modified services we needed. With weddings being so expensive, this was important to us and frankly the reason we initially opted to do without a coordinator. Knowing what we know now, we both feel that we should have hired Lumiani at the beginning of our planning so we could have capitalized more on their vendor relationships and negotiating skills, thus saving even more money. I can’t speak highly enough of the value Lumiani brings to their clients. In our experience, Lumiani seriously paid for its own services.

The ladies at Lumiani are all very personable, stylish and extremely knowledgable, each with her own area of expertise. Thankfully, they work as a team so the clients get to benefit from Lumiani’s collective qualities. Their design input really helped make my wedding way more beautiful than I could have possibly done on my own. They helped me with invitation ideas, paper products, décor, and they put together the most stunning candy buffet I have ever seen. During the actual wedding, they were always available to keep things moving as they simultaneously took care of things behind the scenes. I recall my photographer asking for my other pair of shoes, and there was one of the Lumiani partners, on standby holding all my shoes (mind reader)! I always had one of them in my line of sight throughout the entire night. They were just as available and responsive during the planning phase.

And, although these women are so talented and working in an industry that can be somewhat snooty and off-putting, they are genuinely friendly, encouraging, down to earth and interested in producing an event that is perfect for you. Even our venue’s management commented that Lumiani was a standout organization amongst the event planners they’ve worked with.

I hope everyone is as lucky to have such a successful and fun wedding and wedding planning experience as we did. Lumiani's dedication left us with the best possible memories of our special day.

I just can't say enough about the ladies at Lumiani Events, especially Nhu. She is very organized, kept to my budget and most importantly calmed all my fears with planning my wedding. She met with us and immediately we hit the ground running.

I had a fairly big wedding including about 300 guest and with Asian weddings there are always multiple ceremonies which means multiple ceremony venues. She not only took her time to suggest great money saving ideas but also help me find solutions that fit not only my budget but tailored the event to include our personality. She incorporated our religion, our culture, our personality and most importantly making our dream wedding a reality.

If anyone is looking for a planner that is experience, organized and will help you look for solutions this is your gal. I would be more than happy to hire these women to do any of my events. Throughout our 10 months of wedding planning, Lumiani’s role compares to that of a professionally trained Labrador Retriever leading her blind owner down a busy and perilous street all the way home safe and sound.

During the early phases, they were skilled in keeping us focused on our milestones without getting too bogged down on the minor details: venue, caterer, photographer, guest list, budget, etc. When we reached the point where the major items were checked off, that’s where the true value of Lumiani’s expertise came into place. Initially, we were only thinking of a “cookie-cutter” wedding, taking whatever standard offerings the hotel would provide us. However, Lumiani applied our suggestions of colors and flowers and transformed what would have otherwise been the bland and typical venue into the beautiful ceremony and reception that will forever live in our memories. Their dedication to their work is impeccable, and their attitude and level of detail and care definitely reflects “your day, your way”.

They truly are life-saves who guided us flawlessly and happily through our special day. It’s hard to find individuals like Nhu, Cathy, and Linda who are so passionate and committed to their work. Thank you for making our special day one of the best memories of our lives.

I didn't really think I needed a coordinator, but BOY WAS I WRONG! My wedding would have been a disaster without Nhu Muon & Lumiani Events. And I'm pretty efficient and can handle a lot, but the amount of work that they did I never imagined. I didn't realize I needed that much help! With all the $ you spend trying to make it look great, you don't want to take the chance of anything going wrong without a coordinator. An unorganized wedding is the worst & guests remember that. The stress relief alone is worth the $. Trust me...you have to budget in a coordinator and the only one worth the $ in my opinion is Nhu.

Our wedding was THE best experience of our lives ALL because of Nhu & her team...HONESTLY! And I talked to several coordinators and no one even compared. When you meet Nhu you know she's sincere, genuine, organized and loves what she's doing. She just cares! If she could do it for free she would. She is worth soooo much more than she charges. Get her while she's still affordable!

The entire planning and the "big" day was so much more than we could ever have dreamed of. First of all, Nhu Muon is amazing and the most genuinely kindest and generous human being we have EVER met. We were truly blessed by God to have had her help. Without her, our wedding would not been half of what it was...seriously...if you only knew!

We had 2 months to plan the wedding! She saved me. Nhu & her associate actually stayed up all night the night before the wedding day helping us make the programs and favors!!! Not even our family could stay up with her! Then she took a power nap and worked hard throughout the entire day & night! She was even next to me to make sure my hair & make-up was perfect while taking care of all the scheduling simultaneously.

The wedding was beautifully flawless and blew everyone away! Even us! Everyone told us that it was the best wedding they've ever been to! We couldn't believe all the things she pulled off. This woman is so talented it will blow your mind. She not only is a super organized over achiever type, but she has impeccable taste, is a multi-talented artist, is an attorney, and is the hardest working planner in LA that enjoys every bit of it! I was so lucky to have found her! She is the most perfect coordinator anyone could want. She has lists of referrals in your budget & knows what she's doing. Nhu absolutely LOVES weddings and planning, which is so important. She was so pleasant and enjoyed the whole process that it made us enjoy it too...even our tedious search through photographers. She helped us decide everything & was there for me day & night.

Her skill as an attorney is a huge added benefit to the negotiating and contractual process as well, which makes this sweet woman an unstoppable powerhouse. She also found many creative ways to save on our budget. If one idea doesn’t fit, she has another one! She also has the special ability to solve ANY problem without making it stressful. Whenever we were stressed out or undecided about something (which was a lot!) she always miraculously made us relaxed and found solutions to everything. Most importantly, she made us sooo happy whenever we heard her cheerful voice! Her energy and organization made everything feel easy & actually fun!

Your wedding is supposed to be the most joyous moment of your life and she made that possible. She was not only the anchor of the entire wedding, but she was an emotional anchor as well. She's the best friend that you wish you had all your life.

I referred her to all my friends who were getting married too and they all couldn't believe how great she was. They always felt comfortable when she was handling things because she's so reliable, efficient and can do it all seamlessly. When I talk to other people who got married, no one says anything about their coordinator & didn't have this kind of experience like I did. I feel sorry for them that they didn't have Nhu.

She also knows about every culture, what the traditions are, etc. so anytime I had a question I just asked her & she knew everything. I did a korean & chinese ceremony as well as the traditional ceremony with a christian twist & she knew how to handle it all!
