To say that Jen did an amazing job photographing our wedding would be a huge understatement. Jen has an amazingly creative eye and such natural talent. She was a joy to get to know before the wedding, very easy to work with on the day of the wedding, and still a friend of ours even though our wedding day has passed.
Jen is also very flexible in meeting with you. My husband and I had the joy of planning our wedding from half way across the country but Jen handled everything in the most effective and professional manner; phone calls, emails, and quick (but super fun!) meetings when we could fly in to town. She was very flexible with our busy schedule.
I don’t know how she was able to do it, but Jen captured the most intensely emotional pictures from our wedding. The quickest glance, the slightest touch on the arm, the laughter and joy of our friends and family all around us – Jen caught it all in the most breathtaking way. They bring us back to our day better than any video or story ever could. Her pictures tell the story of our wedding day in the most magical and perfect way.
Thank you for being amazing, Jen. You are truly blessed with an incredible gift.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

How many photographers do you work with?

I primarily work alone. On occasion, I team with a talented photog friend to bring you double the photographic goodness.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I never book more than one wedding in a day; however during peak season it's not uncommon to book two weddings per weekend.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I am well networked with photographers in the Portland area and internationally and am committed to doing everything possible to find a replacement should I become unavailable for some unforeseen and unlikely reason. It hasn't happened yet. :)

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I'm a pro-level Canon girl.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Oh yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

That depends.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Generally, yes. Just ask!

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

Requiring a meal would feel a bit pushy to me. :) I'm always honored and appreciative when my couples extend their generosity to me, but it's not required. On any assignment longer than about four hours, I do need a short break at some point -- running around capturing every moment for hours at a stretch takes stamina! I normally clarify the meal/break plan with my couples ahead of time, and bring powerbars just in case ;)

Do you charge for travel?

Not within the greater Portland metro area. I charge reasonable travel fees for locations outside Portland.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

4-6 weeks after the wedding

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

In a private online gallery

How long can the client keep the proofs?

The gallery is available for 90 days.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

I do.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yep.
