We weren't sure if we wanted a videographer at but then decided it would be a great way to capture moments that still photographer doesn't. I can't tell you how happy we are that we decided to hire Lupher Arts, it is so great to have video of our day. It is such a whirlwind that you can't remember half of what is said and how amazing all the details are so being able to have video really brings it back to life. I couldn't even tell that there were 2 guys taking video the whole time b/c they didn't get in the way, they hardly spoke... they just blended in. The video is great and we are so happy that we have it!

What a disappointment...Where to even begin?
A lot of our relatives are older and live out of state, so they were unable to travel to attend our wedding. Due to that - along with the fact that we had a small, intimate church wedding - we decided to hire a videographer and have them capture the ceremony. This way, when we next visited these relatives, we could bring along the DVD for them to see. We thought we'd found the right videographer in Lupher Arts due to their a la carte pricing and excellent reviews...Unfortunately, even though we did our due diligence, we were wrong.
Maybe Lupher Arts is more geared towards bigger weddings, who knows. But if they can't handle a wedding in Downtown Denver with no wedding party, a total of 40 wedding guests, and a ceremony that clocked in at just under 25 minutes, I am curious to see how they are with weddings triple and even quadruple the size of ours. Curious in a rubber-necker sort of way, that is.
We tossed around the idea of having parts of the reception filmed, too. I'm glad we decided against that. Otherwise, we might have had a bigger mess (and even bigger disappointment) on our hands than with just the ceremony alone.
First off, we were promised our DVD in 6 weeks. It took 9, almost 10, weeks to receive it -- and that was only *after* my husband emailed them to see what was going on. I can understand running behind. However, it is imperative that you *communicate* with your clients in the event of an unforeseen setback. My husband and I would have been okay with that. However, total radio silence is a bad way to run your business.
Secondly, we paid for both the edited footage as well as the raw, unedited footage. We only received the edited footage with Mandi telling us that we didn't need the unedited footage because it was all there in the edited version. That may be all well and good, but the fact of the matter is we paid for the unedited footage - along with the edited footage - and as it stood, a product that had been contracted and paid for for *months* was not fully rendered at the receipt of the edited footage.
It doesn't end there. When my husband and I finally(!) sat down to watch the long awaited DVD, there was a massive audio/lip synch problem right smack dab in the middle of ceremony. Just to ensure it wasn't our DVD player, we checked it on a family member's DVD player (still had the synch issue) and on a laptop (the synch issue was 3 for 3). How was that not caught? Whatever happened to quality control? If you're in such a hurry to chip away at your backlog, here's an idea -- don't take on so many weddings and clients. Whatever happened to taking pride in your workmanship?
While we were provided a corrected version of the DVD, and did appreciate that bit of professional courtesy, by this point, my husband and I were wondering why and how things had gone awry with a vendor that was so highly rated.
The whole final product seemed so rushed and very unprofessional. There was a lot of unnecessary back and forth and, mind you, that was only after we contacted them to see where things stood. My advice to brides out there looking for a videographer? Move along. Keep looking. In this case, having a load of positive reviews and awards on your mantle is not indicative of future success. Otherwise, bridal buyer beware. There are plenty of other videographers who are more deserving of your hard-earned money, especially in this economy, and won't let your special day fall through the cracks.
I haven't been able to watch the DVD since we received the corrected copy. It's that much of a disappointment to me. All I have to say is thank goodness for an *amazing* wedding photographer. If all I had was a problematic DVD to remember my wedding by, I would be heartbroken.

We almost did not hire a videographer due to budget contraints, but I am so glad we did. You cannot put a price on being able to relive those beautiful memories again by watching it on video. Our video is absolutely amazing, I did not cry during our ceremony, but I was in tears watching our video and remembering all of those amazing special moments from one of the best days of my life. I am so pleased and would recommend Lupher Arts to anyone looking for a videographer!

“I was jumping up and down with excitement - its priceless. We got to see so much that we missed that day, and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I especially liked the video highlight--it was soooo worth the extra money. It's like our own personal music video and it really pulls on the heartstrings…I appreciate your professionalism and camaraderie along the way." Christie
