HIRE THESE PEOPLE IMMEDIATELY. We used Kathleen and Morgan at Luxe Events as our Day of Coordinators and it was single-handedly the best decision that we made (other than to get married in the first place). We met with them a few times before the day and they were always available before then to chat - they even emailed me ideas that they thought went with our wedding. They helped us work out all the kinks with our ideas and gave us tips on our DIY projects. On the day of, they were around the entire day and every time we needed/wanted something done they took care of it immediately. The day ran so smoothly; we didn't have to worry about anything. They even collected everything from the reception (gifts, candles, guestbook, etc.) and brought it to the hotel. They will give you the peace of mind you need to truly enjoy your day - definitely worth every penny!!!

When we hired Morgan and Kathleen, we were in a desperate situation. Our hotel’s event coordinator was unresponsive, unhelpful, very misleading, and incredibly confusing. No one could get him on the phone. My mother and I just wanted a final guide-line as to what still needed to be done in the final month of planning. He actually chided me when I asked for a meeting because it was wedding season and he was very busy.
As a result of his poor customer service, my mother spent a day in a frenzied search for a wedding planner who would be available on such late notice. I think she contacted maybe a dozen different planners and got responses from four. Luckily for us, Luxe Events was one of the four. After comparing services and reading all of the proposals, the main thing that stood out to me was that, while all the other vendors were telling us how they did things, Luxe asked us how we wanted things done.
They really took the reins during the last month of our planning and made all of us involved feel like we had nothing to worry about (and we really didn’t). Morgan and Kathleen were responsive, supportive, and proactive. Plus, I couldn’t imagine a nicer couple of ladies; it almost felt like my friends were helping me plan. We had so many compliments from our guests regarding everything that they did. They respected our wishes, and really made this such a unique and wonderful affair.
While I don’t think that my wedding would have been a total disaster if we hadn’t had their help, I know for a fact that it wouldn’t have been the enjoyable and relaxing experience it turned out to be. I’m happy to have worked with them and would recommend them to any bride.

Kathleen and Morgan are two amazing women! My daughter and I sought them out to help us the day of my daughter's wedding. They informed us that they liked to start working a month before the day of the wedding to make sure that the wedding day ran smoothly. Not only were they warm, friendly, highly organized, available to solve any problem, they delivered on every promise they made at our initial meeting. Kathleen and Morgan, also, took over a task we were dreading: making visitor packets of what was going on in the city of Chicago for out-of-town guests. They did a superb job and we received many calls from guests thanking us for the information. Kathleen and Morgan's goal was to support the decisions that we had already made and to work smoothly with the vendors we had chosen. In addition, they developed time lines to keep the bride and her parents focused on important issues of the moment. Their suggestions were timely and on target without being intrusive.Kathleen and Morgan conducted themselves in a very professional manner and diplomatically handled sticky situations with positive resolutions. I would highly recommend their services. Working with them was a pleasure!

Kathleen and Morgan of Luxe events are fabulous. When I first booked them, I wasn't quite sure what a wedding planner's role is. I had a rough idea drawn from movies like the Wedding Planner and Father of the Bride, but beyond that I was pretty clueless. With that being said, I did not know what to expect at our first meeting. Both Morgan and Kathleen were there. Not only was I impressed with their professionalism, but they also went over things that I had not even realized were as essential to the wedding as the food. After our first meeting and each of the following meetings they would send both my now husband and I a hard copy of everything we had discussed as well as a checklist of things that yet had to be done. They also provided us with lists of vendors for what was left to do and were always willing to call the vendors for us. As the wedding approached and my stress levels sky rocketed, Kathleen and Morgan were there to pick up the pieces. They were always available when I needed them, and I never doubted them for a second. I could not have planned my wedding without Luxe Events. I heard of Luxe Events from snippetandink aka the wedding planning blog bible. I figured that if they were being featured on my favorite wedding blog, they would probably be pretty awesome. I'm happy to say, I was right!
I had my first meeting with Katherine and Morgan (the two brains behind the operation) a few days ago at Alliance Bakery. Bonus points for picking a meeting spot that was not Starbucks! Both of them are super friendly and warm so it was easy to be myself around them. We were meeting to talk about their DOC service, so they asked tons of questions about my plans and had lots of thoughtful suggestions.
