From start to finish Lara was absolutely amazing. She ALWAYS responded to my (endless) e-mails and when I was unsure of certain aspects of which flowers to use, she always provided great suggestions. Not to mention, her lanterns available for rental are huge & gorgeous, which gave the romantic setting I was going for! From my bouquet to the petals lining the aisle, everything was exactly how I pictured it! Lara helped me achieve my dream wedding. She was a delight to work with, perhaps even the best wedding vendor out of all the vendors I did business with. Highly recommended!

Book Lara, book her now, girls! I used LZ Floral for my March wedding, and the flowers were just gorgeous! We had some budgeting issues come up, and Lara went above and beyond to make the situation easy and ensured I was able to get the final results I wanted. Her flower designs at my purple and pinky red wedding set off the ballroom and made my bridesmaids' dresses pop, the table linens pop...everything was just stunning. I would advise you to bring a picture of flowers as close to what you want as possible. Lara and I collaborated for months on my "grand vision" and while the final product wasn't exactly what I envisioned, Lara is a true artist and her creations were even more beautiful than what I had in mind. She is truly wonderful!

I originally had a friend of the family who offered to do my flowers, but she backed out 6 weeks before my big day! I met with Lara who had done 2 of my friends' weddings and she was AMAZING! She worked with me on my budget, and was able to give me amazing flowers at such short notice. She is AWESOME!

My colors were pale pink and deep burgundy. The flowers that were supposed to be pale pink were not, they were more off white in color. So, that totally threw off the look I was going for. I expected our alter centerpiece to be much bigger than it was. We had a small wedding with very few flowers. The alter centerpiece was our only one and for the price it was pretty skimpy. She was professional and easy to work with, but overall I was kinda disappointed.

The flowers were exactly like we had ordered. We were very pleased. When Lara came to pick up the vases we had rented at the end of the night, she ended up following me home to deliver the remaining flowers to our home. She went above and beyond.

Lara was fantastic. She was able to accommodate my budget and was very responsive. The altar arrangements and centerpieces she did for my wedding were incredibly beautiful. I had a combination of short and tall centerpieces with candles in the center. Some of the roses in the short pieces got burned from the candles, but besides that, everything was great. My bouquet and those of my bridesmaids were lovely. She also provided orange roses for my wedding cake, and the final product was simply breathtaking. Overall, Lara did a wonderful job, and I would highly recommend her.

I cannot praise Lara enough for the beautiful flowers she provided me for our wedding. I purchased bouquets, corsages and flowers for the cake. It wasn't a tall order, but the effort and care she put into them, was beyond my expectations. Her prices were the best when compared to five other vendors. I was worried that my flowers might wilt before the big day, because I picked them up the day before, But not only did my orchids thrive, they lasted three more days, which is amazing considering they are a delicate flower. LZ floral is absolutely wonderful!! Lara is five stars all the way down the board because she was always so very nice and helpful even when I changed my mind about the entire order twice. The flowers just beautiful and arranged so well! Her prices are the best I was able to find. I went to her first after meeting at the bridal show. Our appointment was supposed to be an hour but it went way over that due to my indecisiveness. Lara was so nice and didn't mind at all about the extra time.

We heard about LZ Floral from the bridal extravaganza. Made an appointment and came in to talk to Lara. She was very sweet, helpful, and full of ideas. We just told her our ideas and she made it seem like it was easy. The first impressive part was we needed a bouquet within 3 days for the bridal shoot and she got it done. The part that blew us away was when we saw our pew markers for the first time, jaw dropping and in awe. She took our ideas and not only did she run with it, she made it into something even more and better. Our venue was absolutely beautiful with what she did and all of our guests were amazed. Thank you so much Lara!

Lara was our floral design for our wedding at the Bell Tower on 34th, and she also took care of the decor in the Saint-Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. I will start by saying that she is a wonderful florist and that she really had a vision for this wedding. My husband and I are really into the japanese and 'zen' style, which means a little number of flowers put together in a 'geometric' fashion. We wanted a purple decor with a touch of orange. Everything turned out amazing. We had calla lilies, orchids, birds of paradise, tulips and bamboos in our centerpieces and in the church. She did such beautiful arrangements, it was breathtaking. I wanted to avoid having large arrangements of roses everywhere and she was so successful in doing something nice, original that was 100% 'us'. The theme of the wedding was 'Math and Science' (we are both scientists) and she helped us keep an hedgy and elegant wedding in spite of what people would say is a nerdy theme. She played a lot with the shape of the vases and containers, and with symmetry. And they kept the flowers for worship the next days in the church and I heard from so many people that the decor was really original and amazing! Just beautiful! A few problems to mention though. First, we had 8 tables, 3 arrangements for the church, one bouquet (i didn't have any bridesmaids) and a few corsages, and also some decor for the signing table and cake. For that we paid $2,500, which I don't consider too bad but still a little expensive... You have to consider though that she rented us a lot of glassware, so that may be why, but I still think we didn't have a lot of flowers for the money. Another problem was that we went away for our honeymoon and came back a week later, and my parents that were staying at my place said the flowers all died 3 days after we left and that they could only save a couple of orchids for us. Finally, our first agreement with her was that set-up was included in the price. However, the napkins and chair sashes we wanted to rent through her were 3 times more expensive to rent than to buy, so I decided to buy it online. 3 HOURS before the wedding she sent a paypal payment request asking for $150, saying that she would tie the sashes if we didn't pay that amount right away. And guess what? We didn't get the email before the wedding because we were busy doing other things (as you may guess...), so she didn't set up. Fortunately for us the lady at the venue decided to do it for free as she didn't want us to be disappointed because of a stupid last minute problem... A little disappointing, that's it. I also have to add that she wasn't very flexible in terms of the times at which we could meet with her, and in spite of her promise that we could see a sample of the centerpieces before the wedding we couldn't. But if I assume the flowers were expensive after this summer's drought, and also a little weak for the same reasons, then I can say that generally speaking she was a great choice (much better than other vendors we saw anyway!)

After meeting with a ridiculous amount of florists and being incredibly disappointed we chose LZ Floral Design. Lara was clearly more talented than all of the florists we met with. She had her work cut out with me from the beginning. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted. I had a huge array of pictures I liked and that was about it. She was always fun to work with and very professional. All of my emails were answered quickly and she tolerated every time I changed my mind. When I think of the details of my wedding, the first thing that comes to mind are the flowers. I had the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen because Lara made my vision come to life….except prettier. My bouquet is without a doubt the prettiest bouquet I have ever seen. It was very out of character for me, but when I saw my bouquet for the first time I literally screamed aloud. Everything was constructed so beautifully. I was shocked to come home and find all of our flowers still alive after our 7 day honeymoon. I was extremely impressed and well satisfied. The flowers definitely made our wedding!

LZ Floral Design was by far my favorite vendor from my wedding! Our flowers we absolutely gorgeous!!!! Laura was so helpful in picking the perfect flowers to go with my colors and theme. Her prices were reasonable and I did not feel I had to give at all with quality of flowers to get a fair price. I continually recommend LZ to friends and strangers who are getting married! We were going to go with a cheaper option at first, but we are SO glad we decided to go with Lara. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and she was so on top of everything.

Quality of Service: Lara would always respond to my emails containing many questions with a detailed answer for each question. She was so put together and it really made it easy for me to fine tune what I wanted. The final product was perfect and exactly as I envisioned it (which is extremely hard to do).
Responsiveness: If I sent an email to Lara, I knew I would get a response within 24 hours, easy. This was my favorite thing about her. It made me feel so comfortable and made me feel like she put my wedding first (whether she did or not!)
Professionalism: Lara was extremely professional and soo easy to get along with. She always answered questions and followed through with everything. She has a lot to offer too so be sure to check out her other items. I ended up getting bridesmaid gifts through her.
Value: She was more expensive than our other option, but definitely worth it. She delivered a great product and peace of mind - something well worth the money when it comes down to it.
Flexibility: Because Lara is a great communicator it allows her to be more flexible with your wedding. An amazing plus, if you ask me.

You won't regret going with Lara and LZ Floral. She's a great person with a great product.

I was new to the Houston area when I got engaged, so I didn't know much about wedding vendors. I was referred to LZ Floral Design by my videographer (Bella Vista Productions) and I'm so glad I listened. Lara was easy to work with, quick to return phone calls and was by my side through the entire planning process. My wedding was September 3rd and the flowers were gorgeous! My bouquet was my favorite part and EXACTLY like I wanted it. Thank you Lara!!!

I just told her what colors I had in mind and left it up to her to pick what flowers she thought was best. They turned out perfect and was just what I had in mind. I met Lara through the Raveneaux but she also goes to the Houston bridal expo's. She doesn't have an actual shop to visit, so you call and set up a meeting with her at where ever is convenient to you and she will bring a portfolio of what she's done so you can get an idea of what she can do. She's very flexible and I had her do both my ceremony flowers and reception centerpieces. I wasn't happy with the 1st mock centerpieces and she had no problem redoing it and recreating a 2nd mock centerpiece for me. Her prices are reasonable and always produces beautiful work in the end. For brides trying to keep their budget down - and coming from a DIY bride - if your not talented to do your bouquets yourself using silk flowers, you can't really get much reasonable than LZ Floral. Save yourself the headache and multiple trips to Micheal's-I recommend her to anyone

Lara was an absolute joy to work with! I can be kind of picky, and sometimes it can be hard to express just exactly what I want. Lara just gets it! She understood my vision perfectly, and the resulting flowers were better than I could have imagined. She was super-easy to work with and to get in touch with. Lara did fabulous with the flower arrangements for our wedding ceremony and the flowers for myself, my groom, and the entire wedding party! I loved my bridal bouquet and had lots of compliments on how put-together and exquisite it looked! I had to call Lara last minute to put together my bridal bouquet for my Bridal Portrait shoot because I had forgotten about needing to have the bouquet and she got it to me on time. She works with your budget and has great suggestions to go with your wedding vision. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs a great florist and ceremony/reception decorator.

Lara Zolton of LZ Floral Design did the flowers for my March 2010 wedding. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed. Things leading up to the wedding were great. I told her what I wanted she gave me a quote. Unfortunately, I did not feel I "got what I paid for". My bouquet was nice, and the colors were perfect, but my bridesmaids' bouquets were a little small. The centerpieces were a huge disappointment. The flower arrangements she put in the tall vases were tiny in comparison. They looked awkward. My biggest complaint, however, was that Lara arrived to the venue late. She still had greenery strewed across the floor when guests were arriving. We were not able to take “before” pictures in the wine room because the room was not finished. It is sad that things like this happen! In the end, the bride and groom are the ones that suffer. She will have other weddings, but it was our only chance.

My advice if you decide to use LZ Floral Design: Have Lara make one of your centerpieces before the wedding because pictures can be deceiving, and plan to have your flowers at the venue extra early.

Working with Lara was easy and worked out great. I was able to give her overall guidance on my preferences and trust her to execute the flowers in a creative and beautiful way. The large arrangements were stunning, the small ones lovely. I adored my bouquet and it helped to make me feel truley beautiful on my wedding day.

LZ Floral was amazing! I probably changed things around 10 times in the weeks before the wedding and Lara had no problem making the adjustments. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about making sure the flowers at the reception were ready to go because she took care of everything. I absolutely loved all the bouquets and centerpieces she prepared for me. The flowers lasted awhile after the wedding too which was nice! It was pleasures to have LZ Floral Design handle all of the flowers for our wedding. The wedding bouquet was perfect and also all of the flowers were very beautiful. She designed some real nice arraignments and Laura was a real helpful and a nice person to discuss all that we needed done and she went right to work at making sure we got what we wanted and more. I contacted Lara 5 days before my wedding date to provide 4 small bouquets, my bridal bouquet, plus 2 beautiful arrangements for the church and flowers for 5 small cakes. She met with me promptly. She had a friendly, professional demeanor and listened carefully to everything I wanted. She also offered helpful suggestions. Despite contacting her at the last minute, all of the flowers were fresh and absolutely beautiful, everything was carried out exactly as she promised, and she even arranged my cake display when the restaurant failed to do so. Did I mention that the flowers were beautiful?

Lara Zolton works from her home so the pricing is fabulous compared to other flower shops. The best part about Lara is she is better than the flower shops. She puts a lot of heart and soul into her work and works well with you. I knew exactly what I wanted for my Bridal portraits, and my bouquet turned out beautiful for the photos and for the wedding. I had one guest say to me, "I've never seen a a bride look exactly the same the day of a wedding compared to her bridal portrait and her flowers look the same on the wedding day." Lara gives you good ideas. She suggested I go with wreath on the front doors of the chapels and all my guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it made the old chapel. I had several people ask me for our florist so they could use her in the future. Lara is top notch and if you are looking to go with someone good, without all the overhead, she is fabulous. She gets back to you timely by phone or by email. I had to change my order the week of the wedding and add a few flowers and there was no problem with her doing it. Everything turned out great. She was on time and helped with the set up in the Chapel and even took the flowers we used in the Chapel over to the reception hall. She is a gem!

Lara was great about my flowers, at our metting I brought in a picture of what I had seen in a magazine and she did a fairly good job of getting me those flowers. The only thing I was shocked about was the pink in my flowers which should have been green, now I'm not the biggest fan of pink but in this case it worked out pretty well, didn't really work for the fall theme but they were beautiful none the less and I would not have gone with any other florist. The work was well worth the money spent.

Our florist had to put up with my indecisive choices and she handled me well. She was never rude or patronizing and was very patient. She was very understanding and responded to emails very quickly and was upfront about all the costs, etc. I wasn't really happy with the flowers that were in my bridesmaids' bouquets, but she did everything else right and was on time, and everyone was really impressed!

Lara is a ROCKSTAR!!!! The flowers she put together for me were even more beautiful than I imagined!!! EVERYONE at the wedding wanted to know who did the flowers. Even the groom and his men thought they were "nice" which says a lot!!!

When I first met Lara for a consult and quote, I knew she was going to be the one I went with. Her pricing is amazing- you won't find anything better. She arrived early on the day of the wedding, set up the sanctuary, made sure everyone had what they needed, stayed till it was over and took everything with her, and sent me photos two days later!!!
