Macalusos SAVED MY WEDDING! I owe them the WORLD and more! My Wedding was the weekend after Sandy in Bergen County, so as many of you know, a lot of my plans were messed up between people losing power and others having trouble getting gas (including my florist, dress store, vendor, church, bakery, videographer, DJ & photographer!). We were distraught up until the day before our wedding. People finally started getting power back, except for my VENDOR! My Vendor cancelled on us the DAY BEFORE our wedding! My fiancé and I were heartbroken, but luckily Macalusos in Hawthorne took us in LAST MINUTE and we were able to have a beautiful wedding.
Even though it was the DAY before our event, they met with us immediately and planned everything in under 24 hours! I have never met such passionate, professional people in my ENTIRE life! I cried and hugged the owner and his team for putting together such an AMAZING wedding, I will never forget them. Everyone was raving over the cocktail hour and service. If anything, I believe in fate... I had a BETTER wedding at Macalusos than I could EVER IMAGINE! Their team was so professional and made my new husband and I feel like we were KING AND QUEEN of the night. The food was PHENOMENAL, along with their presentation and service. No other vendor could have pulled off such a wedding in 24 hours, I am eternally grateful! -CJ

Where do I even START with the compliments/comments!? I was married on 10/26/12 at Macaluso's. I had only been there once before and had a great experience. With that being said, I was nervous. From the moment my husband and I met Alex, we knew we had picked the right place!

He helped us from start to finish! The night of the wedding, he, along with Maroon, Laila, Franco and many others made us feel like a king and queen! From the moment I got out of the limo, Laila (my bridal attendant) was there to help cater to my every need! She was absolutely wonderful! The whole crew then presented the most spectacular food display we all had ever seen! (All of our guests kept coming up to us to let us know that they had never SEEN so much food at a wedding! (ESPECIALLY during the cocktail hour/dessert time) They were totally impressed with the taste of everything as well! People still come up to me and tell me how wonderful our wedding was! I CANNOT WAIT to have another party there!!!

Couldn't speak higher of Alex M from Macaluso's who was there for us from day one! So patient, so attentive. he responded to my emails while he was on vacation for crying out loud!
Food was outstanding, what i could eat, there was just so much to choose from. Friends and family will not stop telling me how amazing it was! The staff the day of, between Alex, Maroon, Leila, and Nawal were just top notch. Checking in on Michael and myself, getting us food during the cocktail hour, getting us food during the Vientiane hour. The ladies made me feel calm before the ceremony. fluffed the dress before, bustled after. Even covered me in napkins during the cocktail hour, just in case.
They made sure that Michael and i didn't see each other before the ceremony, because that's what we wanted.
So flexible and i understand that we could've been lucky that there was an opening, but a few weeks before the wedding and rehearsal, we realized we had to switch the day of the rehearsal. that's when i emailed Alex and he happened to be on vacation, he had me get in contact with Maroon, who was more than happy to help us switch the date.
No task was to big for these guys. If we needed the color of the lights changed during the reception, the option was there.
I'm just so thrilled to be able to say that we had our wedding at Macaluso's! Thank you so much!

Macaluso's was amazing! They were excellent to deal with leading up to the day and the food and service was out of this world on the day. Our guests raved about the place. I have no complaints at all and highly recommend them!

Macaluso's is by far the best! The service and staff are professional and tend to your every need! The FOOD is just absolutely amazing!!! They made our wedding a magical night that we will never forget! We can't thank the staff at Macaluso's enough for all their hard work and dedication to the catering industry. They are truly at the top of the top!

There is not enough that I can say about Macaluso's! Alex and the others at Macaluso's made our May 19th, 2012 wedding spectacular because they treated us like we were the only couple to ever get married there. We were taken care of from the day we first met until the week after the wedding when we received a thank you letter from them! Alex accommodated our MANY requests, always assuring it was "no problem". There was not one single food missing from that evening and every guest left more than satisfied. When my dress ripped during the reception, my bridal attendant, Layla, was immediately attentive by getting pins and fastening it to repair. Franco made sure were fed and always had a drink. He also packed up food for us at the end of the night and made sure all of our belongings were gathered to return with us. If you're looking for a reception venue that's experienced and extremely considerate, Macaluso's is the place for your next special occasion. Without a doubt, I'd recommend them to anyone and plan to work with them for future events.

Simply AMAZING! Macaluso's did a GREAT job from the beginning of the planning phases to the end of the wedding. Maroon was extremely responsive, I never felt like I was bothering him with any questions or requests that I had. From the moment we walked in for our reception until the end we were treated like a king and queen along with our families. The food was out of this world and people are still talking about the great party, service and food! I would HIGHLY recommend them for any event!

I couldn't say anything other than perfection!!! #1, only one wedding at a time!!! What bride doesn't want that??? From the beginning to the end, Maroun and staff became like family to us. Maroun was in short my day of wedding planner once we got to Macaluso's. Layla, my bridal attendant was so helpful when the bustle of my dress came undone. While she was sewing me into my dress, which by the way, she did a fabulous job, I heard one of my song requests being played, she told me that I would hear it again and later in the night I DID! Our family and friends are still talking about the amazing Cocktail hour. You truly couldn't find something in there that you didn't like. Some of our Guests even wondered if there was going to be a dinner after the amount of food presented during Cocktail Hour. One of Macaluso's "perks" is the drop down screen that allows for everyone to have a good seat when the bridal party is announced all the way thru the first dances. If you are going to have your wedding at Macaluso's, you MUST MUST MUST do the Lobster Flambe!!! The presentation down to the lobster itself is out of this world and it is quite a spectacal to say the least. You do not want to miss out on this special treat! The staff was incredibly attentive to not only my husband and I but to our parents and entire room of guests. My Mother, who is not a big drinker would finish her glass of wine and would immediately be asked if she would like another drink. Dinner service was amazing, not only did I have the filet mignon but I had 2 pieces and it was cooked to perfection!!! Viennese & the Cake. Well, you can't go wrong with having Carlo's Bakery involved. This I found to be the biggest "perk". There are several cakes to choose from that are included with the package Macaluso's offers. I got to meet with Mauro himself at the bakery and selected a cake that wasn't included, but regardles, it's Carlo's Bakery, they couldn't serve anything bad. No one knew where to fit any of the dessert, but they absolutely did. It was great that when some of our family members early, they would pack up a little sampler for them to bring home. Although a small gesture, still a touching one. Our families are still talking about the great service and of course AMAZING food. I look forward to having more events there as we begin our lives together. I am quite picky, so if you want top notch this is where to go!!!

My husband had been to Macaluso's before and would not stop talking about the food and impeccable service. I instantly felt the same way when we first visited. We were treated like family every single visit thereafter! No one on Staten Island has heard of Macaluso's before our wedding but now its all they've been talking about! Almost a year later. Cocktail hour is amazing and never-ending. We highly recommend this to couple's looking for a place with amazing food, staff that treats you like family and a beautiful, romantic ambience.

Macaluso's was flawless! Everyone at Macaluso's was such a pleasure to work with during the entire planning of the wedding and then top notch service the day of the wedding :) Nat helped us with the booking and details of our big day and shared his advice and expertise as to what will work and what won't. He was flexible and willing to explain/answer all our questions. The whole planning process with Macaluso's and Nat was just sooo easy! We trusted that they would make our wedding special and they did!
The food was AMAZING! All of our guests cannot stop raving about the food. The Matre'd (Franco) and wedding attendant (Laila) were sooo sweet and calm when we arrived and helped us with anything we asked for. We had such an amazing time at Macaluso's and cannot wait to be invited to a wedding/event there!!! THANK YOU MACALUSO'S for such an amazing experience! We'll be seeing you again :)

My husband and I were thrilled with how our wedding reception at Macaluso's turned out. From the moment we first visited Macaluso's to the last minute of our wedding, the staff has been nothing but courteous, friendly, professional, and a joy to work with. Maroon, as well as our maitre'd, and my bridal attendant went above and beyond their call of duty. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was. We couldn't believe how extravagant and amazing the venetian table was. The place is gorgeous and you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I had out wedding at Macaluso's in 2008 and we will never forget it. The entire night was better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone still talks about it till this day. Maroun helped us every step of the way and answered every questions up until the day off. They accommodated every request with smiles. I would absolutely recommend Macaluso's for a wedding and any other events. I have been to many and they were all excellent!

It's been 4 months and our guests are still complimenting us on the elegant facilities, the absolutely delicious food, and how well organized were the events of the evening. They still can't get over the scrumptious and lavish cocktail hour. Dessert hour with the viennese table was like walking into a sweet dream of wall to wall delights. From the time of our cocktail hour to our grand entrance down the staircase, first dance, and our last dance, the staff was so attentive to every detail. It is only now when we think about our special day that my husband and I realize that there are things during the reception we don't recall how we got done, and the staff had taken care of it all. We were so busy chatting with our guests that we didn't even have time for dessert, so the staff packed us a small sampling. We enjoyed ourselves so much, and we truly believe we picked the best place to have our reception. Many family members and friends tell us that our reception was on the top of their list! Our coordinator, Nat, was a big help in planning the evening. He even coordinated to allow us to come in and practice our first dance routine on the actual ballroom floor several times prior to the big day. I feel like we barely had to do anything except pick colors and the kind and style of cake. Everything else was already of high standards and to our liking. They also had someone from the reception site work with our DJ to coordinate special effects during our dance and other activities.

I was absolutley floored by our experience with Macalusos. Here we are almost two months after our wedding and everyone is still raving about Macalusos!
To start, we visited 7 other reception halls before coming to Macalusos. Our experience with the Macalusos staff made us feel so comfortable from our first meeting to our goodbyes on our wedding night. The facility itself is impeccable and the staff beyond exceptional. It is worth nothing that they recently upgraded parts of the facility prior to our wedding. We had personal attendants provided to us and our parents and felt like royalty all night. We loved the Macalusos hosts ONE wedding at a time and it shows in the service. And of course THE FOOD was OUT OF SIGHT. Never have I been to wedding with so much food and all of amazing quality like we had at Macalusos. Without a doubt the largest cocktail and venetian hour I have ever seen- and no comprising on quality. Everything was AMAZING. The best part about this, is Macalusos has a very standard menu- meaning they do not nickel and dime you for each option at cocktail hour, every client gets everything! The one option we chose was the Lobster Flambe in between the pasta dish and the maincourse. It was so spectacular to watch and people continue to talk about it. The lobster was so yummy and plentiful.
I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Macalusos. It is the height of elegence and service- they create a wedding no one will forget!

Food was AMAZING! Wait staff was perfect in every way. However, the maitre d called me the day before the wedding to tell me that it would be nice to tip him after the event!!!!

Maculuso's was amazing! We still have people raving about our wedding, 2 years after the fact. I think the best thing about Macaluso's is the food. It is truly fantastic and is seemingly bottomless. People were coming up to us during the cocktail hour, asking if there would still be a sit down dinner after.
