Mackenzie is excellent at hair. She did exactly what I wanted based on the sample photographs I brought.

Mack Stylist really listened to what I wanted for both my hair and makeup. I was worried they would put on too much makeup for my wedding so decided to go with a trial and Lakeesha listened to everything I wanted and was so wonderful about it. Both Mack and Lakeesha did such a perfect job during my trial, I didn't change a thing for the day of my wedding. My mom also wasn't in love with her makeup at first at the wedding and Lakeesha was so great, she changed it and was perfectly happy about doing it. I could really tell their main goal was to make everything look great but also make them feel comfortable and love how they looked. It really showed in my pictures. I'm so happy I went with Mack Stylist!

Mack was amazing. After dress selection, hair was my biggest concern for my wedding day. I loved the style that Mack came up with after only giving her a slight vibe on the look I was hoping to achieve- a true artist! She gave the suggestion of using hair extensions (something I have never purchased or used) and it was well worth the investment - it came out looking natural, beautiful and voluminous. Jenn on her staff did a stellar job on my makeup. Together the two of them made my glamorous wedding dreams come true....as it did for several bridesmaids and mothers.

As a creative person I had many ideas about how I envisioned the styling of myself and my bridesmaids. It was great to work with a group of creative women to achieve the look I was going for. My hair trial and makeup was amazing and I knew they would do a great job. I worked with Lakisha on makeup and Allison on hair. They were both amazing and truly listened to me on the day when I changed my mind!!! They handled it like complete professionals and achieved my dream looks for both myself and my bridesmiads. I had bridesmaids wearing all different dresses, and Allison was able to give every girl a different hairstyle to suit their look. With me she made my day by working with my ideas and concepts. She dealt with me like a friend which was so comforting on the day. I wasn't afraid to talk to her which was amazing!! Lakisha gave my ladies a complete transformation and they all looked so beautiful. I would highly recommend these two to anyone and I am sure the rest of the Mack Stylists are fabulous as well!

I hired Mack Stylists for my wedding day hair/makeup. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this group of stylists is. After one terrible trial and hours of searching online, I became quite discouraged. However, after my trial with Lakisha (makeup) and Kristen (hair) from Mack Stylists, I felt confident (and relieved!) that my wedding day hair/makeup would not be a disaster. I put down a deposit immediately after my trial and did not think twice about it. It was so nice to have Lakisha, Kristen, and Jamie (assistant) at our hotel room to do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I. The entire process was smooth, virtually effortless and quite enjoyable. I would highly recommend using Mack Stylists for your wedding- you will not regret it.

Mack Stylist is a great company! They managed to take care of me (the bride), 6 bridesmaids, a flower girl, mother of the bride and mother of the groom and all by about 3 pm the day of the wedding. Everyone looked amazing and we had a great time hanging in the bridal suite while Lakisha (makeup) and Allison (hair) got us ready. Sweet, funny and professional. Not to mention they made us look great! (They even came a little early to make sure there was enough time!)

Mackenzie and her team do beautiful work! Among all the chaos the morning of the wedding they worked their magic and got us all done just in time (i had 11 people total needing hair & makeup). Mackenzie and Lakeisha (her amazing makeup artist) kept me calm while getting ready, and made me feel GORGEOUS for my wedding day. All of my bridesmaids and both of the moms looked spectacular. And i love that she steers clear from the traditional updos and creates an awesome look!

Mackenzie and her team of stylists were amazing on my wedding day. From the day of my trial to the actual day of, all of the communication and planning was easy and care-free. She was able to style the look I was trying to create even better than I had imagined. She was very professional but also really friendly and personable. I love her! And she does stunning work, I would highly recommend her. And her makeup artist was also exceptional. Myself and all of my bridal party were overly impressed with how our makeup looked.

My wedding was Saturday & I spoke to Mackenzie Tuesday and had a trial that afternoon for makeup & hair in Mack's studio in her home.

Allison (hair) & Nicck ( makeup) were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I felt completely at ease and were so awesome translating the inspiration photos I had with me.

Nicck & Allison arrived early and set up their stations so quickly- the results were beyond salon quality all from the comfort of your home!

Everyone from the bridesmaids to my mom & sister looked flawless- and got rave reviews at wedding. My bridal party had a variety of hair textures and skin tones and Nicck & Allison nailed the looks for everyone.
I loved the red lipstick so much I bought a tube and wore it on my honeymoon for special nights out in Iceland

The products used were all high quality and the airbrushed foundation lasted all day- my eye makeup even looked flawless from the very long and emotional day.

Mackenzie was AMAZING on my wedding day. SHe made me and my Girls look amazing. She was sweet, professional and flexible. I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her. We all had so many compliments :) any bride would be lucky to have Mackenzie on her wedding dy :)

Love Mackenzie! She did a gorgeous job on my hair and my bridesmaids as well. Jen did our makeup and I gotta hand it to her for putting up with my ridiculous requests and my mom's loud mouth. My wedding started at 11 AM, but my husband and I were doing first look photos at 9, so my girls and I had to be ready by 8:30. Mackenzie and Jen arrived at my hotel room bright and early at 4:45AM and were ready to go! They even had us all done by 8 AM. Mackenzie brought a bottle of sparkling rose with a coupon for a future service which was awesome!

I don't remember the name of the girl who did my bridesmaids' hair, but I really appreciated that she was able to give them different but complementary styles with no trial to sort things out.

I love love loved having Alison (hair) and Lekeshia (makeup) there on the morning of my wedding. They were both so calm and professional despite cramped quarters and lots of bustling activity. These two are such a dream team! We even ran ahead of schedule!! I felt phenomenal all day long and everyone was constantly complimenting my entire look. \r\n\r\nI cannot recommend these girls enough. Not only did they do a great job on my hair and makeup - but each one of my bridesmaids and mothers loved their looks as well. Alison executed three very different styles (one up do, one down and one half-up) on each of my \'maids and they all looked amazing! My Mother in Law (who NEVER EVER wears makeup -- honestly, in the eight years that I have known her, never once has she ever worn makeup) loved the way she looked!\r\n\r\nIf you want to feel like a super model/rockstar on your wedding day - you should definitely call MackStylist!

Mackenzie of Mack Stylist knows her stuff. I went to my trial 5 months before the wedding with photos of what I thought I wanted, Mackenzie explained to my dark hair would show shape, not detail in the photos and I should emphasize the shape so that it won’t blend. I would have never thought about my photos, or how my hair would appear. She was patient the day of the trial, played around and showed me a couple of styles to let me see what I would like best. Thank god I went to her because in all of my photos you can see my hair style!

A week before the wedding my timing changed for getting ready and Mackenzie was totally flexible and made it work.

The day of the wedding Mackenzie and her crew were fabulous. They all came totally prepared; I didn’t have to think about anything. The entire crew was friendly, and chatted with my family and friends while we were getting ready. Jen, the makeup artist was great, I honestly have never had my eyes look so big. I had an unusual headpiece, which seemed giant at the time and Mackenzie sculpted my hair to fit the headpiece. It looked AMAZING! I got so many compliments, my hairstyle was classic but had modern elements. Not only did it look awesome but it stayed in place all night and I danced up a storm! She did such an awesome job that I have now started going to her for my cut and color. She is a true artist/sculptor of hair and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Mackenzie did hair and makeup for my wedding day, and I could not have been happier with my decision to use her! All of my girls/sisters/mothers LOVED their hair and makeup for the big day. Mackenzie is professional, and a real pro with the talent she has. We received so many compliments on how great the entire party looked the day of my wedding. Mack did a great job on my hair for the wedding. I wanted an updo but usually I hate when I get my hair done... She did great and I was completely comfortable with what she was going to create! She cares about what your hair looks like and made sure I was completely satisfied. Definitely recommend if you're into something classic and stylish.

I knew how I wanted my hair and makeup done, but sometimes it's hard to describe exactly what you want and even harder for those trying to understand your vision and create it. Jen did my makeup and I have never seen my skin look so good. I've had problems with my skin for years and it looked flawless on my wedding day thanks to Jen. The makeup was perfect.

Mackenzie and Jen (who did my makeup) are incredibly talented. Mackenzie has such an unique eye for style and hair design. When I initially went in to meet Mackenzie, I was nervous - I didn't really know what I wanted, I couldn't make up my mind and I did way too much research through bridal magazines. Mackenzie sat me down, played with my hair and looked at me - that was it, she knew exactly what to do. And it was amazing!

My wedding day was incredibly long and I wanted an updo set in the morning that I could let down in the evening. And that was exactly what she did for me. She taught me how to pin my hair, she taught me what extensions to buy and how to place them and how to reuse them. She was incredible!

I now go to her for my haircuts as well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do if she was ever to leave me. Be warned - her prices are going to be higher than you see for local hair salons, but she will travel to you and stay in communication with you up to the wedding. If you want to save a few bucks, don't have her cut your hair (easy as that). I am willing to splurge on my haircuts so it was a no-brainer for me. My bridesmaids loved her too (one even booked her right after my wedding). She is very social, easy-going, and doesn't put up with bs (something you need as you become a bridezilla).

Mackenzie was super responsive and flexible, which I love in a vendor. There is nothing worse than not having an email returned or acknowledged. Mackenzie was always right on top of her communication and pleasant to deal with. She worked with my crazy schedule to squeeze my trial in, and put me at ease with her approach to hair, which is realistic and fun, not stuffy. She'll tell you if you can achieve certain looks based on your hair type instead of selling you a pipe dream, and I do appreciate that honesty. It keeps your expectations grounded but keeps you open to styles that actually will work.

On the day of, she showed up early, stuck to her laid out schedule, and was super easy to deal with. She even brought us a complimentary bottle of champagne, which I thought was a nice touch. I enjoyed my time getting ready with her, and she spent a lot of time working with me and my frizzy hair the day of.

Mackenzie suggested I should get a haircut before the big day but I never got around to it. My hair was a little unyielding as a result, but as a final touch up on my wedding day, she went so far as to trim my ends, which made a world of difference.

Unfortunately, the weather on my wedding day was nothing short of 100% humidity, so the baby hairs near my scalp did their thing and balked at the styling that had been done to them. That did show up in my pictures that took place before the ceremony. I don't think there is anything Mackenzie could have done better to combat the humidity that day, for my girls or myself. It was just an unseasonable occurrence and even in the humidity, I still think my hair looked extremely shiny and great, even at the end of the night.

I think that longevity is a true testament to the quality of a hairstylist's work. You want it to stay in place after hours of sweat-inducing photos and dancing. My hairstyle did just that, so I was really pleased.

Mackenzie was prompt, extremely friendly, and fit right in with everyone! I really appreciated her flexibility. I was extremely busy with planning a wedding and working, so I did not want a hair trial. She is truly talented and my hair looked beautiful on my wedding day. She has a great personality and has a way of making you feel calm and relaxed, like your getting your hair done by a friend. (well.. better than a friend, because none of my friends could do my hair that well. lol!) I went with my hair down not a traditional up do like most brides, so I wasn't sure how it would translate in photographs. Looking back at the photo's my hair looked amazing in pictures. I was SO happy with my hair/make up on my wedding day! MacKenzie was already booked for a wedding but the gals who came to our hotel to do hair and make up were AMAZING. All of my bridesmaids loved their looks ad well. Everyone we worked with were so professional, nice, and talented!

I’m not going to lie- I was a little nervous that Mackenzie herself was not available to do my hair for my wedding since she was supposed to be away, but her assistant Alison surprised me with her talent during our trial, and with her composure on our wedding day. Despite great variation in the thickness and texture of our hair, Alison did a fabulous job executing hairstyles for my long straight hair, for my mother’s straight thin hair with bangs, and for my sister’s long, coarse wavy hair. Alison outperformed several other hair trials I had in NY and Philadelphia and I highly recommend her and Mackenzie. They understand the preparation, time and mechanics involved in building an updo- a lost art- and can produce that updo with a fresh modern spin. With Mackstylist, you can relax and enjoy your wedding hair!

Mackenzie was awesome in every way possible. I was very apprehensive about getting my hair and makeup done because I'm very low maintenance on a day to day basis. I wanted to look like myself but prettier! Mack gave some great guidance and advice at the trial, listened to what I was looking for and made me feel very comfortable leading up to the wedding. At the wedding, I had changed what I was looking for a bit and Mackenzie was so accommodating. She had warned me that all brides change their pictures and I was adamant I wouldn't...but I did. She rolled with the changes and did a fabulous job for myself and my three bridesmaids. She even managed to get my sisters who have curl-resistant hair to hold beautiful, flowy curls all day. Jen did makeup for the moms and myself and did a phenomenal job. I have seriously never felt so pretty!

Mack and Jen were punctual, professional, creative, fun, calm and felt like they belonged there. It was great to get ready under their watch. Looking back at the pictures makes me realize that I wish Mack and Jen could make me look that pretty every day!

Mackenzie was my #1 favorite wedding vendor!!! Truth be told, I was wickedly hung over the first time I met her, my college roommate and I decided it would be fun to relive our glory days at Rutgers with a pub crawl the night before my hair trial. It took all of my efforts to shower, get dressed, and drive to my trial the next day. I looked horrendous and felt even worse. Despite my health, Mackenzie had me cracking up the entire time. She is HILARIOUS and I love a good sense of humor, so she was already plus one in my book... Not to mention, she's an incredible hair stylist!!! My dress was tea-length and had a very fun, party-girl feel to it. Mackenzie encouraged me to go with a more couture hair style to match the dress, the result was amazing, I LOVED IT (and so did everyone else)!!! And the whole time she had me laughing so hard it was impossible to get nervous the day of the wedding. She's awesome, she's talented, professional, personable, and she comes to your venue... seriously? What more could you ask for? Use her, your hair will be phenomenal!!!

During the process of planning a wedding and the chaos of the big day, it's nice to have a calming professional who is reliable, talented, and professional. Mackenzie Hughes is all of those things and more. She was kind during the hair trial, responsive to all of my emails, punctual on the actual day, and most importantly, she did a fantastic job on my hair. I didn't want a traditional bridal updo with spiral curls, although I wasn't exactly sure what I did want. Mackenzie helped me figure out the perfect style, and it looked beautiful on my wedding day.

I am completely clueless when it comes to hair and makeup. Luckily I found Mackenzie. She made me look amazing for my wedding. The makeup was perfect. It particularly looked good in the wedding pictures. And I can not say enough about my hair style. It was so intricate and beautiful. I didn't realize at the time of the wedding how amazing it looked. However, looking back at the pictures where I can see the back of my head, I am seriously shocked by how beautiful it looked.

Mackenzie is awesome. I feel so lucky to have found her -- cool, friendly, laid back, with an artistic eye for how to design a hairstyle that complements your entire wedding "look." She takes a lot of care and pride in her work, and gags (like me) at the thought of "prom hair."

She does weddings because they are fun, but she is primarily a high-fashion hair stylist and does most of her work for fashion shows, magazines, runway, etc. I LOVED this about her. I want to get married again so I can try out different hairstyles with my bridal party (just kidding, husband!)

During my hair trial, she tried a couple different looks before we hit upon the perfect style, and was incredibly patient. On the day of the wedding, she arrived promptly (actually, a little early, to set up), and worked efficiently throughout the day, creating perfect, flawless styles for my mother in law, mother, bridesmaids, and me.

Mackenzie's assistant Stephanie was the "service-provider" on my wedding day, and did a fantastic job. I was late in my search for hairstylists, and when I contacted Mackenzie, although she realized she was booked that day, very quickly realized that Stephanie could do the 'do I was looking for and immediately booked a trial. During the trial my feedback was solicited at various stages and I felt very comfortable with the process. On my wedding day, Stephanie was a pleasure to work with - she was on time, easy going, and did a beautiful job on my and my bridesmaids' hair!

I hired Mackenzie for my wedding this past March 2011 and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with her level of style and professionalism. Mackenzie was attentive to my requests, working with me during my trial to create the hair style I envisioned for my wedding and was extremely meticulously with keeping true to that hairstyle the day of my wedding.
