Macy's
Reviews for Macy's
I got my daughter's flower girl dress from them. It was what I was looking for. For my wedding. I was very happy when I got it in person. It was a very pretty dress.
My grandaughter was the flower girl at my son's wedding. Since she was only four years old we were wondering where to get her dress and if it would be expensive. After looking around I went shopping at Macy's in the Manhatten Beach Mall and found that they had so many beautiful party dresses and they were in all sizes and colors. I could not believe how many there were to choose from. We picked a stunning little dress in size 3T in white with light beige trim. The amazing thing was the price. Although, it was marked $79 it was 40% off and therefore it looked really expensive but cost less then $40. Variety and price in a children's dept that I would think only had casual clothes. Macy's really does have everything.
The items I received from Macy's were all excellent. I got my fine and casual china from here, along with bath towels and stemware. I love it all and can't wait to complete my sets. I didn't have any problems with returns either. Some people complained about the registry printout being hard to read though.
We were surprised and not very pleased with the service we received here which made our decision to look elsewhere.
Macy's messed up one of our returns, but quickly corrected it, after we called them to report the problem. The main complaint about Macy's is that they don't carry alot of everyday items, and their prices are a bit on the high side. However, they do have a great thank you note program on the online registry which helps you keep track of gifts, which BBB didn't seem to have.
Still, our guests seemed to really like using Macy's. It also had a nice charitable donation program.
Macy's had the perfect color for my bridesmaid dresses. The price was reasonable and the service was great. A very classy store with very classy dresses and excellent service. I would choose Macys if I am looking for a classy evening gown or sports wear.
I heart Macys. There were countless little things that I bought at Macys for my wedding. My favorite was the pearl necklace and earring sets for my flower girls. They were set beautifully in little pink boxes and cost only $8 each! I also bought a beautiful broach and some earrings for my bachelorette party. Their bridal salon in Chicago is also very nice. I tried on my very favorite dress there, but I just couldn't afford it :( The ladies there were very nice, though, and not too pushy. The registry services were a little much for me, however, and we decided not to register at Macys. The lady was a little pushy and DH and I were not interested in all the fine china, so her sales pitch was a waste of our time. All in all, though, Macys is a wonderful place and I look forward to spending all our wedding gift cards there.
I thought that we had a fantastic experience with them. They gave my mother a discount and were very helpful. When my mother’s dress arrived, it was far too big (and not because she lost weight). They had received the wrong size and never checked it against the invoice. They told us they could order a new one and have it in time.
Macy's has beautiful bridal jewelry at a great price.
My two nieces and new little sis-in-law got lavendar plaid dresses from Macy's for the wedding. They looked adorable. As far as I know, they held up well!
I bought my wedding dress online from Macy's. They have excellent service, it arrived quickly and returns/exchanges are easy. It was a beautiful dress, very elegant and had I not purchased it myself, I wouldn't have believed it was so inexpensive.
We chose individual dresses for each of our bridesmaids, for their individual senses of style and personalities. We found each one we needed in the right color scheme at Macy’s. The best part was that the Maid of Honor’s gown was even on SALE!
I got all my bridesmaids dresses here and they were very friendly, warm, and welcoming. They had the variety and spice that I wanted!
specifically flowergirl dresses. i was shopping one day at macy's with my future mother in law and spotted the dresses out of the corner of my eye. i walked up to them and fell in love with them they were exactly what i was looking for but couldnt find online or in any other stores. the macys we were at unfortunately had only one of the sizes we needed but the clerk helped us by calling around to other macy's stores in the area and was able to get us the same dress in the other size we needed. i couldnt be happier with the flowergirl dresses.
If you register at Macy's you can gain a minimum of $10 for every $100 spent on your gift registry. You get it on a gift card. Its awesome.
Macy's helped me find teh perfect shad of foundation...(a feat for pale girls) they have great high quality items that won't irritate sensitive of acne-prone skin.
My husband got his wedding suit from Macy's and he says he couldn't be happier with another suit!! Dark navy with very light lines on it (but from away, all you see is an AWESOME navy suit). The lady helping us was so nice and helpful and we recieved his suit within a week! Perfect fit, length (he's kind of tall), andfit wo well with his boots! Couldn't be happier!!!
My bridesmaids bought their dresses at Macy's. We wanted to make sure we picked a dress that could be worn for another occasion and we found exactly what we needed. One dress had to be ordered and shipped and it was received in about 2 days, much quicker than anticipated. Overall, very pleased.
I found some gorgeous formal gowns at Macy's that matched my wedding colors, and were a great touch for bridesmaid dresses!
The sales people were so incredibly rude & arrogant at the macy's bridal shop in Chicago. I refused to give them a dime of my money if they were going to treat me so rudely.
veil and accessories were great the women in the deopartment were accomodaation and generally sweet was impressed
We got my (now) husband’s suit at Macy’s. It’s a Hugo Boss Red Line, and fits like a glove. The great thing about the gigantic Macy’s in Herald Square is if you tell them you are from out-of-state and have a valid ID to prove it, they give you an 11% discount. Alterations were free.
Very nice formal wear, excellent quality for less than bridal store prices. We purchased bridesmaid gowns at Macy's.
All around it was practical service, not wow, but good, we had two registries so that helped ease the way. The items were excellent and their online program is very nice, the only problem was face to face time with the store itself for returns.
We found over 70% off on formal dresses, bridesmaids saved a lot of money.
All my bridesmaids and maid of honor ordered their dresses from Macy's online. I saw the dress when I was just browsing for some shoes, and I knew that that's what I wanted the girls to wear. It was a beautiful dress at a great affordable price ($175.00). They all looked wonderful in the dress, and they had no complaints or problems with Macy's.
Bridesmaids dresses were purchased at Macy’s. This was a excellent choice , we saved a lot of money.
I got my jewelry from Macy's and it went beautifully with my dress, and looked great on the beach! I was so pleased.
We looked at renting a tux for my husband-to-be and the tux rentals went for $150 a day. So we went to Macy's a happened apon one of their many One Day Sales. We found a brand new name brand 3 piece black suit, white shirt, and new silver tie for $270. We paid a little extra to have it altered but he got a new suit for a great price that he can wear again.
I did black for my dresses, so we were able to find black dresses for inexpensive that work perfectly. Macys has fine customer service and an ok selection.
We also registered at Macy's for gifts. All three of my wedding registries sync with the store and online so people can buy stuff in the store or online and you won’t end up with duplicates. Easy to use and comprehensive. They also give you bonuses (completion, coupons, rebates, etc).
We got boxes of Frango mints for our favors and to save money, my mom wrapped each and tied with a bow. They were pretty basic favors, but I think most were eaten.
Mmmmm... wasn't impressed with Macy's at all. We decided to give it a try since we were at the mall anyway, but they really don't have a dress selection at all. They're not meant to be a bridal shop, per say, but we wanted to try anyway. I wouldn't worry about stopping in there, especially if you're on a time constraint... There really wasn't anything in Macy's worth checking out. Selection was really poor.
Actually found all the dresses in store- they had all the sizes. I think that was the cheaper way to go.
I decided to have a traditional wedding and didn't want my bridesmaids to wear dresses that were too flashy or anything so I took them to Macy's. Macy's had a nice supply of bridesmaid dresses and I was very impressed with the quality and variety of sizes that were available. The staff was very polite and very helpful, and I should say patient as I was kind of hard to deal with. The prices were reasonable and overall I was very happy with the experience.
excellent selection. they have brand names , and u can always save using your macys card
We registered online with Macy's and it was soo easy! The consultant from our local store emailed us personally about any questions we may have. They have the best china!
We registered here. If you have a Macy's card you get a percentage of what is bought through your registry back in a gift card just for you!
My bridesmaids were not all in the same city and this made it really easy for them to each get the same dress no matter where they were. Plus, even when the dress went on sale, they still had plenty of them left and could ship them to wherever they were needed, if necessary.
My husband and I both got gifts for our maid of honor (perfume) and best man (a watch) from Macy's. They always have the best selection no matter which section you're looking at, at great prices!
I got a crystal bangle for my big day and Macy's and it was gorgeous. Money well spent! I didn;t expect to find jewelry there but I went looking and found just what I wanted.
I found my bridesmaids dresses at Macy's. They are more or less, simple, black cocktail dresses, but they are great. The store where I was did not have enough in the right sizes that I needed, so the clerk called a different location and had them pull them aside and hold them for me. It was a big help so that I didn't have to move on to my second choice of dress (one that had the right number & sizes for my bridal party).
I had seen some decor items online at amazon.com that I thought I liked. They were a Macy's product so I decided to go to the store and see what they looked like in person. I didn't find the item I went for but did find two other items that I liked better and for great cost (sale).
However the customer service was non existent until I got to the Clinique counter and was helped by a very kind and attentive woman.
We bought the groom's attire at Macy's. We got the pants, his shirt, and tie for only 80$. We couldn't find any shoes that fit him though.
We used Macy's to register our gifts. Horrible idea. We were advised by the Macy's wedding coordintor at Dulles Town Center to register early. We register around Christmas time and by the time of the wedding, half the items on our list were disconinued. It was very annoying. I would suggest using Bed Beth and Beyond or Crete and Barrel instead.
The staff were really helpful finding jewelry for my wedding gown. Plus the jewelry was affordable.
Great dress section with fantastic sales! We got our maid of honor her dress there. Originally $200, we bought it for $60.
The make-up artist at Macy's Christian Dior counter was great to work with. I was able to take a crash course on how to apply my make-up on the big day. I spend quite a bit on make-up, but at least I learned the technique, now I'm able to do it myself.
The selection was good, for a registry, but the items were a bit pricey and I didn't feel comfortable asking my friends and family to spend so much on me. Plus, the registry process is a bit... involved. You have to get a Macy's credit card by the end of it and meet with their coordinators, etc. It was too much of an inconvenience for me, though I'm sure they meant well.
While it might not be fun to peruse Macy's jewelery department, you are able to find really cheap finds that don't look cheap at all!
Macys was perfect to find my jewerly and our rings! They ahe a big variety and very nice people on sales. I love every piece that I bought!
Dresses arrived in plenty of time; good with exchanges
The best place to look for children's attire is Macy's. It does depend on the color/style of the wedding and the season, of course. But, the price is cheaper than bridal shops. I suggest getting a flower girl dress after Easter when all of the dresses go on sale.
I went looking EVERYWHERE for the perfect accessories to accessorize my victorian wedding. I mean EVERYWHERE. Finally, one day when I was just hanging out with my girlfriend at the mall, window-shopping, I happened across one of the jewelery displays and there was my necklace and earrings at an affordable price! Woot!
We decided to do our registry at Macy’s. We did the whole process on line which was very convenient. They even give you like a virtual shopping assistant that sends you email alerts on grab items that pop up on sale or go with items you had previously registered for. I would use this service even if I was not getting married.
Great service and selection. I worked with Julie who has been very helpful and has helped me on different occassions. The first dress she brought me was the one I bought!
Awesome to do business with! We were registered with them, and they took the time to meet with us and pick out our china settings and crystal! I just can't say enought nice things about Macy's.
Head over to the Mac counter at Macy's and they will do your makeup for free! All you need to do is make a purchase of $50! Easy to pick up makeup you can use for months ahead and receive a service you need the day of your wedding!
My brother is kind of a hefty man and he couldn't really find a tux that fit him right. We happened to be in the mall browsing through macy's and we found a tux that was perfect and we had in altered at the same place. We paid less than $350 for everything and for him it was definitely a happy moment!
If you look for the sales, you can totally get a good deal! We got a buy one, get one 50% off after the holidays, though we did have to drive around to a few stores to get all the ones we needed.
Well, Yeah I went to Macy's for my wedding Jewelery. We got it on sale, so I got about $500 worth of pearls and diamonds for about $200. I got the most beautiful pearl necklace, and picked out matching earrings. I also purchased some small diamond earrings because I have two holes in each ear, and they looked great. Both sets of earrings actually look like I bought them in a set. The best part about it was... no pushy sales people :) We walked in, I picked out the stuff, almost screamed because it was so much cheaper on sale, and walked out. The looked beautiful and I will have them for years to come.
Macys had cream and pearl Flower girl dresses that came with matching baby doll dresses.I had 4 flower girls instead of bridesmaids- It was cuter! I got some balldet slippers to match in crfeam silk at pampos.
The dress I ordered was not available in stores. When I received the dress, I had to get fabric added to the chest area because the fabric did not have the noted amount. Not worth the price.
I had a very simple, casual wedding on a rooftop at Wrigley Field and so I needed a casual wedding dress. I went to the dress shop at Macy's on State Street in Chicago, just outside of the bridal salon. They had several greatly marked down wedding dresses o choose from. I found my perfect Jessica McClintock wedding dress for under $200. This was perfect for my casual wedding!
I chose Macy's for my wedding registry and it was a complete disaster. First of all I had guests from overseas and Macy's won't accept credit cards from a lot of countries. They said the only way my guests could buy me a gift was by calling Macy's, which meant not only a very expensive international call but also having to place an order over the phone in a language they're not familiar with. The second problem, and far more embarrassing, happened when I had to return a couple of gifts. I returned them by mail and Macy's issued the refund to the guest who had purchased it! In other words, the guests found out I had returned their gifts and I didn't get any money back! And they said it was my fault for not specifying on a blank "comments" field that I wanted to get the refund as a gift card. As if that wasn't quite obvious since they were gifts bought from a wedding registry. It was really outrageous.
I just happened to look in macy's (just to see, you never know right) and we found exactly what i was looking for, and they were on for 50% off. you wont find that in a bridal shop! these are perfect. dont rule out department stores
Setting up our registry at Macy's was incredibly easy. The online aspect of the registry, as well as Macy's presence nationwide, will hopefully make things much more convenient for everyone involved!
A decent selection of dresses, but all with lots of lace and beading, very little that was simple.
I cant say enough about the women here. I think their is a commom minconseption about this store. A notion that it is incredibly expensive, and the women who work their are profiling for a certian type of client. On teh contrary I was on a budget bt still seeking my dream Vera Wang dress. The women were so helpful and pulled out a sample gown that was perfect! The price was great and they were so thorough in telling me how to care for and alter the gown. I'd recomend them in a heartbeat!
Went to Macys with my bridesmaids (there are only 3) to see if we could find dresses for them. The person we talked to was very helpful, we told her the colors and she new exactly where all the choices were and she even modified her search based on what we liked and didn't like. And when we finally found what we wanted she even gave us a small discount on everything. Made it very easy!
I registered at Macy's and the young lady that helped my fiance and I was so wonderful. She had all kinds of booklets that helped us to choose the right gifts for our registry.
We bought our $ year old son a little suit from macy's and got an excelent deal and he looks adorible
I was able to get all my girls dresses there and mine. They were great to work with and very personable. Every time I went there they remembered who I was and they did not mind helping everyone on an individual basis. They have great sales for bridal gowns and I was able to get mine for 70% off. love it.
to save money on flower girl dresses, we actually waited until 1st communion time came and passed and got a first commion dress for our flower girl, just the same as a flower girl dress but less money
I love macys you can find anything from jewlery and baby clothes i buy everything there especially my fiances clothes it is a great place to shop
Macy’s is THE one store you can get everything you need to look fabulous. I strongly recommend everyone going to Macy’s; it is the place to be this holiday :)
