Main Street Fine Catering

I cannot say enough about this caterer! They were absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing and people we talking about it for weeks after the wedding.

We worked with Dawn who was incredible and extremely accommodating. Anything we asked for she tried her hardest to get and was usually successful.

We served our food family style and people loved it. The passed items during cocktail hour were great and so was the actual meal. And the staff were great as well. Never saying no to a request and treating each guest with kindness and a smile.

Delicious food and a stress-free event were two of our top priorities when it came to our reception. After Main Street flawlessly executed my sister's wedding in 2010, there was only one choice for us - we knew we would go with Main Street Fine Catering.

Main Street simplified our wedding planning because in addition to the food, they do wedding cakes (ours was delicious), handle the event rentals (they got all the chairs and tables for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception), and will coordinate vendor deliveries on the day of. (This was a huge help to us because our day-of-coordinator had not worked at our venue before, but Main Street was familiar with it.)

We worked with Joy Allen to plan our event, and she is amazing. She went above and beyond for us, and she has such a pleasant, warm personality. We had total confidence in Joy and knowing she would be at the wedding put us at ease. One example of Joy's dedication to her clients: the day before the wedding, our venue informed us that it lacked freezer space for the ice cream we had already ordered to be served with our cake at dessert. I left a frantic message for Joy, hoping she'd have some ideas of how to figure this out. She called back and said that if we could arrange to have the ice cream delivered to her office, she would leave our reception before dessert to personally pick it up and bring it back in time for the cake-cutting. This is what I mean when I say that she went above and beyond. And that's only one example.

The food was delicious, and Main Street's catering staff executed the event flawlessly. Their servers are professionals who really take pride in their work - I even recognized some of the faces from my sister's wedding. Their staff will transport you and your guests to an experience akin to a fine dining establishment - not the usual catered event experience. I've already recommended Main Street to another friend (who signed them up) and will continue to sing their praises to anyone planning a wedding in the Central Jersey area. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I truly believe they meant it! Main Street provided the highest level of service. Joy, our catering manager, was superb to work with on planning the reception and coordinating our event space. The food was delicious; we have several comments in our guestbook about the quality of food. Service on the night of was also superb. Servers were thoughtful enough to pass hor d'oeuvres to me and my husband during our photos so we wouldn't starve, but they never interfered with our photographer. Servers also were thoughtful enough to set aside plates of dinner for me and my husband without our having to ask. The flow and set-up of the venue was elegant and smooth. I grew up in Princeton so I was familiar with the Main Street name; I'm thrilled to say they live up to their stellar reputation. My sister already has put down her deposit for her wedding next September, and we already cannot wait. Thanks, Joy!

Main Street, and in particular Joy Allen, helped us create a dream wedding. The venue (the Manor at Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart) was simply beautiful, the tent for the reception was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. Joy was a delight to work with and she arranged everything for us. She guided us every step of the way, and the result was even better than we had expected. She was professional and so helpful when it came to details. We had such a wonderful day, and would highly recommend Main Street and its staff for any special event.

To echo my mom's review, my husband and I couldn't be more pleased with Joy and the rest of the Main Street crew! We worked closely with Joy for months leading up to our big day, and she was so attentive and acommodating throughout the process. The tables looked gorgeous, the food was fantastic (and the perfect temperatures!), and everyone had a ball. We'd love to work with Joy and Main Street again, and we will definitely be recommending them to all our friends!

We had such a wonderful experience with Main Street and would highly recommend their services to any bride and groom to be! Our wedding was essentially planned in just 6 short months, but we never felt rushed or like we needed more time working with Main Street to finalize everything. Joy was always very responsive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure everything was what we wanted it to be on our wedding day. In fact, just two days before our wedding, there was a problem with the tent (not Main Street's responsibility), and Joy made sure that everything was worked out and perfect for our day. Also, I have a food allergy (to gluten) and there were no problems in working gluten-free items into the menu. In addition, several of our wedding guests were vegan and Main Street was more than happy to offer a vegan option. The quality of the food and the presentation at the wedding was amazing and our guests seemed very satisfied with our choices! We will definitely turn to Main Street, and specifically Joy, the next time we need a caterer. They certainly helped to make our wedding day unforgettable!!!

Main Street was THE best find of the wedding. Teri executed a flawless event and at times, even took on more responsibility than asked. We continue to receive compliments about the dinner which Main Street flawlessly executed. We cannot say how thankful we were, are and will continue to be, especially as we relive the memories.

Teri at Main Street Catering did an amazing job. It was extremely important to us to have environmentally-conscious catering at our wedding and Teri was very aware of what that meant. The food was delicious (we go so many compliments after the wedding) and everything went very smoothly which says a lot considering our wedding was outdoors in an arboretum under a tent. She was so easy and fun to work with. I trusted her opinions and honestly I would recommend her and Main Street Catering to my family and close friends. That pretty much says it all.

Main Streets Catering went above and beyond from day 1 on through to the hours after the event happened. They are extremely knowledgeable and have great contacts in terms of DJs, Florists, Photographers, etc. Everyone at Main Streets is professional, reliable, and prepared for any/everything that may "pop up" on wedding day. They were flexible, open to our ideas, gave plenty of options to fit our budget, did several walk thrus of the sight location, the day's schedule, etc. The night of the wedding, everything was beyond gorgeous and ready to go! We received more rave reviews about the food than anything else at the wedding. The service was superb - no glass was ever empty as the tables were really attended to. We had almost 250 people and the food was served and cleared seamlessly. I would ABSOLUTELY work with them again. You'd be crazy to go with any place else. We absolutely love Main Streets Catering!!

I was extremely pleased with the attentiveness of the Main Street staff. The food exceptional, and their style is a mark above the rest. They made my wedding day a dream come true!

Our stations were terrific. People raved about them. Everything was fresh and beautifully seasoned and presented. The options were difficult to decide on, but Terri's advice was so helpful because she had listened well and got our conceopt totally. The tables looked terrific and we collaborated with her to design an unusual mix of sizes and heights, so the various ages could choose what they preferred. Only change we would make is to announce each station and encourage guests to move around during speeches. They were afraid to move so waited till later to really enjoy their food. Terri helped us avoid silly expenses and put our money into things that made a diffference and she was so right. Also since we did not want wedding cake, the shortcake and later popsicles were so memorable. We would use you over and over again.

The wedding menu that Main Street created for us was exceptional. The event director pulled all the details together to make our wedding exactly what we wanted!

They are extraordinary caterers. The food was delicious, inventive, beautifully presented, the service wonderful. Long after the wedding, people kept talking to me about the amazing food. In addition, Dawn, who was Main Street's planner for our service, was smart, thoughtful, and very calming, something we needed. She knew all about wedding services and effortlessly shepherded us through the planning, the wedding rehearsal, and the wedding itself.

Hiring Main Street was the best decision I made for my wedding. The wonderful staff made everything perfect and I had not a worry in the world.

The service overall was fantastic. Only thing keeping me from giving it a 5/5 was that at cocktail hour the food was coming out very slowly. When i went into the kitchen myself to see what the delay was one of the servers less than politely said they were doing their best. Otherwise the food was delicious, Joy Allen was very helpful the day of the wedding, the bartenders were great and friendly and the set up was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Main Street Catering to everyone.

When it comes down to it, how the food tastes is what matters most, and the taste and quality of the food from Main Street Trattoria was excellent. The hors d'oeuvres and main courses on the day of the wedding tasted exactly the same as when we had our tasting so many months earlier. Main Street may not be as cheap or as overly accommodating as some of the other caterers out there, but they carry out their service to perfection. Dawn did a great job making sure all of my DIY projects were where they should be, and the guests raved about the food. I'd definitely recommend Main Street.

We frequent Main Street's restaurants in Princeton and Kingston, and were eager to use them for our wedding, especially after going to an open house. We worked with Joy, one of the event managers, to shape a menu that reflected our desire to have an informal but elegant event; she worked to get the menu just the way we liked it, with a few custom elements thrown in. On the day of the wedding, she ensured everything, including cueing the band during the ceremony, went smoothly. During the reception, we heard many raves about the food, as well as the attentive staff, including the friendly and skillful bartenders. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Main Street to anyone who's looking for a caterer and loves good food.

Fabulous food and wonderful help with overall wedding coordination!

I would particularly recommend Teri Lands, the wedding coordinator at Main Street. I didn't hesitate to select MS as my caterer, as they also catered the weddings of my sister and my brother. The quality, care, and consistency of their service is unparalleled, and Teri has a knack for striking a beautiful balance while respecting the pocketbook. Food choices were plentiful, and Teri was extremely responsive to our feedback and requests. We were left feeling incredibly well attended to, and our day felt tailored to our specific needs. I can't recommend them more highly.

Main Street did a wonderful job with our August 6, 2011 wedding. The food was fantastic and fresh and our guests told us for months afterward that they liked everything that was offered and said it was really a step above the food they are used to eating at weddings. Also, we had a friend with Celiac disease who absolutely couldn't have any gluten, and MSC was very helpful and careful in keeping gluten-containing foods separate from gluten-free foods. The staff was friendly, respectful of our choices and needs, and accommodating of our requests and not-too-big food budget. We chose to get cupcakes from our favorite bakery rather than having dessert catered by MSC, and they were just fine with that and set up the cupcake display for us. Also, at the last minute as the reception was starting we realized we hadn't purchased any soda (no idea how that happened), and one of the MSC staff was willing to run out and get soda for the reception. They also were great servers and cleaned up very quickly at the end of the night. The reason I rated them a little lower on responsiveness was that occasionally it took a while for them to get back to me when I left messages with questions. I was very pleased with Main Street and recommend them to you.

Mainstreet Catering was the Catering Service exclusive to Fernbrook Farms. They did a wonderful job with everything. Excellent food, beautiful cake! Being able to keep leftovers was a bonus and we have been enjoying our wedding feasts days after.

Main Street was the best! Everything was taken care of on my wedding day and it was all thanks to Joy!! The food, venue (Fernbrook Farms), service - EVERYTHING was impeccable. They were also flexible and allowed me to add an extra half hour to the wedding the night of. I can\'t recommend Main Street enough!

Main Street Catering does a wonderful job with the quality of food, the set-up of your event and can also coordinate all of your vendors. The end result of our wedding was fantastic & people were commenting on how good the food was for weeks afterwards.

My only word of advice- they are sometimes not terribly responsive via email & it really pays to pick up the phone & call them if you have a question that needs answering. They are so busy during the summer months that even if something seems urgent to you, it may not be resolved until a couple weeks prior to your event. Not to worry, they pull it all off beautifully, but it's good to know that phone is best & that sometimes they aren't as responsive as a bride/groom would want!

Main Street Catering is the caterer who is at Mountain Lakes House most often.
They are excellent.
