We had a morning wedding at Makena Cove. There were other people around, but we felt like we were the only ones there. We enjoyed getting married with our feet in the sand, and we even got splashed by a wave during the vows! I can't think of a more beautiful place to have our wedding!
Jackie, our wedding planner, helped us pick the beach location. It was beautiful, and really private! Jackie warned us that all beaches on Maui are public, but we felt like the only people there. White sand, amazing blue waters, and a killer view. Even better: it was free! :-)
We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. Everything was perfect. Makena Cove was amazing and it was even better than we had hoped it could be.
This beach is so beautiful. Everyone kept asking me how I found it and how perfect it was for the wedding. I am still getting compliments when people see the pictures. The rain was not an issue. We loved it and at the end of the ceremony, the skies cleared and we got our beautiful Maui sunset.
