I was married on November 25, 2011 and this is the first review I am leaving out of every vendor I used. Melissa D'Aloia & Co is, in my experience, the best team of makeup artists and hair stylists out there. Melissa did my makeup, as well as the makeup of my mother and bridal party. Each woman looked absolutely amazing. Whether they wanted a smoky eye or a more natural look Melissa managed to transform each girl to an even more beautiful version of themselves. She listened to what each girl wanted, but also made suggestions based on the dress and each girls individual features. I felt beautiful and I know my bridal party did as well! We all received many compliments through out the night and can't wait to find some excuse to use her again. She is friendly, sweet, professional, and very talented! For hair I booked with Mercedes. We all knew we wanted natural looks so we challenged her with doing simple and soft hair styles in 6 different ways. She exceeded our expectations. She managed to make soft and natural still look elegant and special. Each girl had a distinct little "wow" that made their hair style stand out from everyone else's. They also held up great through out the night. Instead of falling flat or limp everything managed to stay perfectly elegant and gorgeous. Definitely book with this company, and book early. There's nothing like the peace of mind of knowing that no matter what goes right or wrong on that day, one thing will be certain...you will look and feel absolutely...

Melissa far exceeded my expectations. She is an amazing person and a beyond amazing makeup artist. In the little time I got to know her I felt like I had a friend by my side making me look beautiful on my wedding day! A few bridesmaids had their makeup done as well and it took my breath away how stunning each of them looked. My makeup lasted throughout the entire day and night of crying and dancing!!! I would give my highest recommendations for Melissa, saying she is outstanding is an understatement!

Melissa and her team are AMAZING! From the moment I first got in touch with her, she was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were planning a cross country wedding, so she was one of the only vendors who made my life easy! I was blown away by her portfolio and reached out to set up a trial session immediately. Since we were only in town for a limited amount of time, she graciously moved around her schedule and even came in on a day she wasn't working to help me out. She offers regular make-up or airbrush. I figured this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I went with the airbrush. Girls - if you can afford it - do it! It stays on all day, you never have to do a touch up and Melissa does an amazing job of making you look natural with just that extra pop of pizazz! ;) Throughout the event, everyone kept saying, "You look GORGEOUS! Who did your eyes?? Who did your make-up and hair?? Melissa showed up on time and helped make all of the women in my family look stunning. Even my mother who has never liked having her make-up done said that Melissa and her team were the most talented make-up artist & hair stylist she's ever met! On that note, I also have to mention Kristi Unis who did a phenomenal job with our hair. If I ever had a concern or question, both women listened and helped tweak something so it was just what we all wanted. Many thanks to both ladies for making me and my entire family feel beautiful inside and out! I highly highly recommend Melissa and her team of artists!

This review is long overdue, as I was married in July, but I just realized that I never wrote one for her. Melissa was the perfect choice for me on my wedding day. First of all, she is such a nice person. She was always very responsive to my questions and my concerns about having my make-up done because I do not typically wear much make-up. From the minute she came to do my trial, I knew she was a perfect fit to do my make-up and my mom's, as well as a few of my bridesmaids. She listened to what I had to say and the make-up was beautiful. I had the air brushing which I would highly recommend because it is very natural looking and it lasted all day long! Even when I cried, my make-up did not run at all. I was so pleased on the day of my wedding because I truly felt beautiful. She also fit an extra bridesmaid into her schedule for me and worked around all the commotion going on in my house that morning with a smile. Hiring Melissa for your make-up would be a perfect decision for your wedding day and I'm sure her company does hair just as nice. Thank you!

The day before my wedding, my mother had a major allergic reaction, her eyes were practically swollen shut. Needless to say, we were both extremely nervous about what would happen on the day of the wedding. After a trip to the emergency medical center, she got medication to make the swelling to go down, but redness set in. Not only did Melissa help calm us down the day before the wedding by suggesting ways to reduce the swelling, but she also was able to cover up any sign that there was a problem. My mother looked beautiful, and no one could tell anything was wrong for the entire day!

Melissa did an amazing job on my make up as well. I could not have asked for anything better!!

Melissa and Andrea are both not only very professional and do excellent work, they down-to-earth and really nice people!! I had a trial done and as a result I was even more excited for my big day knowing that I would be in good and caring hands! People could not say enough about my hair and make-up and both looked just as good at the end of the night as it did when I had them just done - and that's the total truth! That's amazing considering my complexion and the fact that I was on the dance floor the entire evening!

Melissa did my makeup as well as my bridesmaid's makeup for my wedding. Suffice it to say that the results were INCREDIBLE. Melissa achieved a look that was flawless yet natural. She was also a joy to hang out with the day of the wedding -- she was patient, fun, and put me at ease. I will definitely be working with Melissa again!!

Melissa D'Aloia and Company was great to work with for my wedding! From the trial to the day of the wedding, Melissa was there to help me every step of the way with any questions or concerns that I had. The day of the wedding the team arrived earlier than stated, everything went smoothly, and we even done earlier than anticipated. I had over 8 girls have their make up done and 6 girls have their hair done. Everyone loved how their hair and makeup looked and most importantly it stayed on ALL NIGHT! (12+ hours)

I was first exposed to Melissa's talent when my best friend got married and she utilized Melissa D'Aloia's professional makeup services to treat her bridal party. Melissa transformed each bridesmaid into a polished beauty and the bride was simply gorgeous. Based on my experience as a bridesmaid, I knew that Melissa was going to provide an excellent service for my wedding party, and I was right.
Melissa and I discussed early on in the process the approximate number of people that will utilize her service. As my wedding got closer, Melissa reached out to confirm numbers, and helped develop a timeline for me to share with my bridesmaids. On my wedding day, Melissa brought an assistant, director's chairs, and a variety of makeup that accomodated various skin types and tones. Melissa was fun to work with, joking with my 4 year old niece, and worked quickly to make sure we were looking great for when the photographer was due to arrive. Melissa's rates were extremely fair, and she was successful with transforming me into a better looking version of myself. I felt that Melissa was talented in not overdoing the makeup and simply highlighting my best features so I looked like a movie star version of myself.

I got very lucky to have walked into a Bare Escentuals Boutique and I asked the girl that was helping me if she knew of any good make-up artist for my upcoming wedding, wright away she gave me Melissa's info and I said "I won't know till I try" To my amazement Melissa was very professional , prompt, and very friendly!! I made my trial appointment and after my trail there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted her to do my make-up for my wedding!!!

Melissa did both my makeup and my mom's makeup for my wedding. She was a pleasure to work with. Both our makeup lasted all night long and looked beautiful. It did not feel like we were wearing makeup at all and we both got many compliments on how it looked.

Missy has done my makeup for both my daughters wedding. Not only did the pictures come out great because the makeup was done so perfectly but everyone during both the weddings raved about how great I looked asking who did my makeup. (I didn't know I could look so good) She was on time, very pleasant, and very prepared for everyone with all the different flesh tones and looks. Also answered everyones questions about the do's and don'ts on their makeup. I highly reccommend her not only for weddings but for all your important events. You will not be disappointd.

AMAZING MAKE-UP ARTIST!!!! Melissa did my make-up for my wedding and it looked BEAUTIFUL!! It was an August wedding and even with the heat my make-up looked perfect throughout the night. Melissa was exceptional! Her professionalism and talent was extradinary!! I would recommend Melissa if you want PERFECT make-up. She is FABULOUS!!!!

Melissa is AMAZING!!! She and her colleague Marilu did the make-up for my wedding. I have to say - my mom looked beautiful, my bridesmaids looked beautiful, my sisters, my nieces and me. She had a big crowd to manage and she kept everything on schedule. We were all incredibly happy. As the bride, I wanted to look perfect all day and I can honestly say that my make-up looked just as good at midnight as it did at noon. Melissa was so wonderful to work with from the trial all the way through to the end. If you want to work with the nicest, most talented and most professional person, you have to work with Melissa. I think my photographer even talked her into working with her on a bridal event he was shooting because he loved how everyone was showing up on the camera.

Melissa is absolutely hands down amazing when it comes to doing makeup. She was a pleasure to work with, very organized, and top of every detail when booking and planning for my wedding day. My makeup looked awesome and as for the rest of my bridesmaids, matrons, and mother....they all looked stunning! I had a very big bridal party (11 girls) and Melissa was VERY accomodating and her and the girl she brought to my house that day worked well within the allotted time frame. Everyone was ready on time. (She brought another girl with her because I had the big bridal party and she was just as amazing) Hands down...I give her a 100% and highly recommend her!

My experience with Melissa was beyond Fantastic. My make up came out great I love it so much and plan on using her again for events.! I felt like she was very professional but at the same time it was like hanging with a friend she made me feel so comfortable especially on the big day which I'm sure most of you know is nerve wracking but like I said I felt at ease with her and I never had so many compliments in my life about my make up she made me look like me she did a GREAT JOB!

I can truly say that Melissa was one of the best people to work with through the whole wedding process! She was amazing! I switched things around a few times and it was never ever a problem. She works on the stars but is such a joy to work with and well worth the money! I got the airbrush makeup and it turned out perfect and stayed perfect all night! Melissa was highly recommended to me by several people who have used her either for their own wedding or as a bridesmaid in someone else's wedding. Melissa is not only amazing at doing makeup but she is fun, caring and extremely professional. I had booked her for myself and 2 other bridesmaids on my wedding day. As Melissa did our makeup the rest of the girls watched and also wanted Makeup by Melissa! I had a HUGE bridal party, 15 girls plus my 2 grandmas. This was a lot of people to accommodate on a last minute notice!! But Melissa took ALL the girls and not only made them beautiful BUT she still got everyone done on time. She even put lip gloss and blush on my little 8 year old cousins - they loved it!

All in all, there are so MANY CRAZY things that happen on the morning of your wedding day. You need a team that is calm cool and capable of dealing with anything that comes to them. That being said, you DEFINITELY want Melissa on your team.

For my wedding, i dint get time to have a trial session done for my makeup as i was in CA. So i spoke to Melissa and she assured me that evrything would be fine on the day of wedding. Though i was a bi nervous, she did a great job. Make up was done well but i guess it dint last for too long. But thats fine. It did last until the wedding got over.I would recommend her for any bride.
