Amanda Pye Makeup Artist

I am thrilled to praise Amanda Pye's artistry, sensitivity, and grace in providing makeup services. We were lucky to have her expertise for my daughter Jane's wedding party on June 9, 2012, styling both the lovely 20-something bride and her bridesmaids as well as the 50-something mothers.

Amanda had already won our business through an excellent trial makeup session with Jane. She was a good listener to the bride's preferences and a gentle suggester of other beautiful possibilities.

On the wedding day, she arrived at our hotel fully equipped--but also fully centered, in a lovely mood, and able to move smoothly through all the transitions with our "girls" and also coordinate with our hair stylist. Amanda made us all feel beautiful and look our best. I had been hesitant to have my makeup done, I admit, but with my daughter's encouragement and Amanda's clear skill, I felt I looked like a better version of myself on this important day (and even a bit glamorous)!

As for the young ones--gorgeous! It is clear in all the wedding pictures what value professional makeup adds to a polished look. Everything Amanda did was with a gentle hand and an expert eye and a sophisticated style. Thank you, Amanda, for adding so much to Jane's wedding day in skill and spirit. I recommend your work highly to all your future clients!

Amanda was totally amazing! Since I was from out of town, we did the trial for the rehearsal/grooms dinner and I got so many complements! Amanda made me look glamourous but not like a totally different person. She also did makeup on the wedding day for me, my mom and two bridesmaids and made each of us really great. She was really accomodating even when I was late (not my fault but not hers either) which was above and beyond. It was hard to go back to doing my own makeup after seeing what she can do two days in a row!

Amanda was wonderful! She was super flexible with when I needed to schedule my trial, and had lots of great advice and suggestions. On my wedding day, she came out to my house where we were getting ready, and of course we were running behind. She was so great about it, and I felt like she did a fantastic job with my make up. I really wanted to look natural, and not like I was wearing a lot of make up. She did a really nice job. I would totally recommend her!

I had my makeup done by Amanda for my wedding day, and I couldn't have possibly been any happier! She truly is an amazing artist, and knew how to make me look my absolute best. She was very friendly and easy going which was terrific to work with. Everyone complimented me on how beautiful I looked and even specifically had comments on how perfect my makeup looked! She knows how to make you look perfect, but definitely not overdone at all. I couldn't recommend her more!

Amanda has been very quick to respond to all of my many many bridal questions. Her professionalism and responsiveness put me at ease. Then her beautiful application of make-up was exceptional. She made me look that the best possible version of me!

Amanda did my makeup for my bridal portraits and for my wedding day. My makeup looked amazing in my portraits and I received many compliments. I had several girls at the wedding asking me who did my makeup. Amanda is super firendly and comes to you on the day of which makes it stress free on the brinde! I highly recommend Amanda for her work!!

Amanda does a fabulous job and my guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful it looked. She offered a run-through, and did my makeup for both my bridal portraits and wedding day, even traveling out of town to do it onsite. She is extremely friendly and fun, and very responsive via e-mail and phone. I would highly recommend her and wish she could do my makeup every single day! :)
