When I was looking for a makeup artist I made a list of the top rated makeup artists on yelp and wedding wires. I asked my bridesmaids and my fiance to help me look at countless portfolios. We all unanimously agreed that Katie's makeup portfolio was the best! I love how she did my makeup and hair. I didn't get to do the trial, and I still wasn't sure of what I want on the wedding day. Katie just asked me a few questions and she did an amazing side swept hairstyle for me. The makeup was flawless, and many guests said I look like a model. Katie was very patient and took her time during the hair & makeup. She really cared about the details, and will not rush just to finish it up. She stayed until I was dressed up and helped me put the veil. Katie simply the best makeup artist out there. You will not be disappointed if you hire her. She is worth every penny!

Katie B!! Was such a pleasure to have. She truly did an amazing job. To give you a rough time frame of the day, she started at around 8:00am, tea time was around 10:30am, wedding ceremony was at 2:00pm, photo opportunity from 3:00-5:00pm, reception started at 6:00pm. Barely any touch up was needed throughout the day; just a light dust of powder and lip gloss. I usually don't sweat, but my hands were clammy all day; that being said, the hair and make up did not budge. I was so happy with the outcome of her work. It was a wonderful and welcoming transformation on the morning of my wedding day. My sisters, bridesmaids, cousins were all in/out of the room while she was doing the hair & make up; managed to work at the same time chat with everyone. My sister is one of her superfan and I can easily see why. Katie B arrived on time, was very professional and friendly, unpacked quickly to get started, took pictures for her posts, made sure she had the latest style and looks I wanted to work with; before you know it, I was done up. Again, I can't express enough the wonderful work Katie B did. Very happy with outcome of friends & family pictures. Every bride wants to look beautiful on her wedding day, even for a plain Jane like myself. Unlike many girls who'd dreamed about their wedding day since they were little girls, my planning took place while I waited with my mom at the doctor's office. For nearly 4.5 years, my mom would talk about my wedding day, how beautiful I'd look, what dress I'd wear, how my hair and make-up would be done...When I read Katie's profile and portfolio, I knew that if anyone could unlock the bride my mom knew I had the potential to be...it would be Katie B. Looking down from heaven, I know that Mom was smiling on Nov. 5th, 2011 because Katie made me look exactly how Mom had imagined I'd look on my wedding day. Katie has a natural way of "seeing" your best self and using her artistic talents, she transforms you in a way that accentuates your natural features...not changing your features to make you fit some other societal view of what being beautiful means. She did not use eyeshadow on the side of my nose to make it appear longer and narrower like other make-up artists I've used in the past. She kept my cute button nose the way it was! Katie is honest and she lets you know up front what looks would work for you and what wouldn't. I definitely appreciated that. When she asked me how I'd like to look on my wedding day, I simply said, "like a beautiful bride." Katie isn't your average make-up artist or the type who needs to practice on you once before she can perfect you for the real deal. She does magic with her brushes simply by looking at your pictures, samples of hair designs and make-up styles that you are considering. That's all I sent to her and by the end of our 2hr make-up session, I looked like myself...just enhanced. I've tried several make-up artists for different things and man, they can't seem to get it right even after your TRIAL! Katie's different, she truly cares about you, you're not just a client...you are a reflection of her masterpiece and thus, she takes time in giving you the complete and perfect look for your special occasions. Additionally, Katie's cosmetic line is beyond what words can describe! I didn't look cakey, I wasn't cracking, my blemishes were concealed, the color foundation was perfect, and I didn't need much touch up throughout the day. Furthermore, I'm not sure what she did to my hair but every curl stayed in place for the entire day (12+ hrs of mad crazy fun!). So with my hair and make-up PERFECTLY done, all I had to really worry about was having fun on my special day and I did just that...dancing the night away with family and friends. I had compliments on my hair and make-up from the time it was done until the minute my husband kissed me goodnight and said to me, "you looked so beautiful today."From beginning to end, Katie was professional, prompt and very engaging! Your make-up artist is the first vendor that you work with on your wedding day, for me anyway, so it's important that they leave you with positive energy to last you the entire day. Katie was like the fresh brewed coffee that I needed to keep me going on my wedding day. With only three hours of sleep, I needed someone who could keep me alert, excited, and feeling beautiful! Upon arrival, Katie greeted me with her beautiful smile and a hug. We set-up shop quickly in my room and she went straight into working her magic. Along the way, she and I talked about everything! Two hours flew by with lots of laughs, respect for one another, and just pure fun.When I saw myself completely finished, I couldn't believe what I saw in the mirror! I have to admit, when I went to go put on my ao dai (the Vietnamese traditional gown), I got a little teary-eyed because my hair, the crystal hair piece, the loose curls, and the natural-look that Katie gave me were the very things [minus the black lipstick] that Mom used to describe whenever she talked about her little girl getting married. Katie B really is a master at what she does. Just take a look at her before and after portfolio. She is also a pleasure to deal with from the start. She answers emails very quickly even with her busy schedule and she is very accommodating. Take my advice ladies and make her the first vendor you book after you set your wedding date! She gets booked quick! She is on the expensive side but she is truly a professional and it's the one day where you can really splurge on yourself. What really stood out about Katie is that she really cares about your whole wedding day look. She asked to see my wedding jewelry and hair accessory to make sure everything looked right with her make-up and hair styling. She even had a great idea to use a flower from my wedding dress that I wasn’t going to use since I had gotten a sash. Her make-up is really also the best. I have extremely oily skin and my make-up seriously lasted all night. Also, the way she pinned my hair back stayed in place all night, even through a few wardrobe changes!

Hire Katie B and you WILL NOT be disappointed! She is a complete professional and does absolutely amazing work. I got married on October 15th, 2011 at 2:15 in the afternoon. By 11pm that night, after the ceremony, the vows, the eating, dancing & getting cake shoved in my face, my makeup still looked flawless. I saw pics of myself taken late in the evening that people from the reception took of me & my husband, and I still looked great (and I'm my biggest critic!). Katie knows exactly what she's doing. She knew exactly how long the hair/makeup would take to apply, and got to my house on time. She knew exactly what colors worked for me and what didn't. I've always had this vision of smokey eyes for my wedding, but also wanted her to use pink, but have that "glowing, innocent bride" look and she completely nailed it. Even after she was done, she was willing to go back and fix anything I didn't like, but, you can't fix what's not broken! LOL! Another thing I liked about Katie was she was such a great conversationalist and made me feel so comfortable in her presence. That, to me, helped out a lot because (A) of the big day I was about to have and (B) it's nice to feel at ease with the person who is about to transform you into a Princess (which is how I felt all day long!) and I completely trusted what she did and I was not disappointed in the least. Katie did my hair and makeup for both my engagement and wedding sessions and I couldn't be happier with the results. She and her husband were prompt, professional, personable and very talented. I don't think I could have booked a better makeup artist for my special day. I knew of Katie's work years before I even met my husband, and once I got engaged, she was one of the first vendors I wanted to book right away. My face had broken out the last few weeks before the wedding because of all the stress, and Katie managed to make me look flawless. I was the Maid of Honor for my best friend’s wedding on 9/10/11. Right after she got engaged, we immediately booked Katie B to do our hair and makeup because we’ve heard how amazing her work was. On the morning of the wedding, Katie B and her husband Shaun arrived to the hotel right on time and came in with such a relaxed, confident attitude which was very refreshing considering we were all nervous and running around doing last minute wedding stuff. We both told Katie B that we wanted the “we’re wearing makeup but not too much makeup” look. They did my best friend Nina’s hair and makeup first and all I can say is WOW! Nina looked beautiful!! I almost cried when I saw her because she was just glowing! Then it was my turn. Before they started on me I began to get very worried about all my flaws. Katie B did my makeup while Shaun did my hair. So as Katie B was doing my makeup, I noticed that she seemed to catch every flaw I was thinking about! I mean she did everything I was hoping she would do but better!! She made my eyes look bigger without using too much eye shadow and she made my skin was flawless! As for my hair, I have a head full of thick medium length hair. I asked them to do wavy curls without making it look too full which is exactly what they did. After Katie B and Shaun were done, Katie quickly pinned my hair to the side which really completed my look. I looked in the mirror and I was amazed! Being prone to breakouts after nights like these, I woke up the next morning and jumped in the shower worrying about my skin. I looked in the mirror and NOT ONE SINGLE BREAKOUT! After spending so much money experimenting with different high-end makeup and skincare, I finally found the perfect makeup! I could really tell the difference with Katie B’s cosmetic line. All in all, Katie B is a master of her work. She listens to what you want and creates the exact look you’re going for. She is professional and very fun to work with. Words cannot explain how happy I am that I booked Katie B for my wedding!! I first heard of Katie through one of my bridesmaids, Bridget, and so I quickly looked into her work. Looking at her before and after pictures alone was enough for me to want to book her, but after a few emails, her ability to respond quickly is what I truly valued! Although she was booked and unable to do my whole bridal party she offered to do my maid of honor and my makeup which I truly appreciated. Her portfolio was nothing short of AMAZING and I was beyond impressed with her before and after shots. I am a makeup fanatic who just loves playing around with makeup and started at an early age. I have been to countless makeup counters, spent mucho dinero on top of the line products, and have gotten makeovers done by many different artists. So when I came across Katie’s work, it was a breath of fresh air for me and I knew she would live up to my high expectations. Katie B is a true artisan with it comes to her work and there is certainly no one else in the industry that can do it better than her. I’ve been a huge fan of her work for a long time and instantaneously knew I had to have Katie B do my bridal makeup and hair on my wedding day. With her skills and expertise, Katie B has made amazing transformations and I wanted her to work her magic on me. On my weekend of my wedding, Katie B arrived in my hometown earlier than expected, which totally put me at ease. There was a last minute change of location as to where to meet up but Katie B was very accommodating with the rearrangements. She was very cordial despite of all the last minute changes. In the end, her pleasant demeanor calmed all my pre-wedding jitters.On my wedding day, Katie and Shaun arrived promptly and everything went smoothly from there. My bridesmaid and I were unsure of what looks we were going for but Katie B graciously offered us her expertise. She worked her magic and made my bridesmaid and I look absolutely stunning. Katie B would not stop until she was satisfied with the end results, exceeding beyond my expectations. She is such a perfectionist! The quality of her makeup is phenomenal. I have extremely sensitive/combo skin and had concerns of how makeup will hold up and if it would irritate my skin. Again, Katie B reassured me her makeup products were of the highest quality. I was extremely pleased to see that my makeup looked fresh the whole day, without irritating my skin. My make up lasted over 12 hours without any touch ups! Katie B was also able to transform my fine limp hair into gorgeous voluminous curls that also lasted the whole day. Not to mention, her hair extensions were made by her and it has to be one of the highest quality extensions out there. My husband could not stop commenting how beautiful I looked. Since the start, Katie has been a pleasure to work with. You will never get one sentence responses from her. She has always been very thorough with input. She is definitely a take charge artist but takes the time to ask for your personal preferences and opinions every step of the way.The weather was definitely not on my side and I was forced to reschedule our engagement shoot and as busy as Katie is, she was very accommodating! On the day of our shoot, she was half an hour early and stayed half an hour later. It was not at all like the make up artists I've dealt with in the past where they get in, do their thing, and get out. Katie takes her time to get to know you and personalizes everything from start to finish.My hair is thick, heavy, and straight and there's a reason I hardly ever curl my hair...by the time I leave the house, my curls are gone. I wanted soft waves and she was able to achieve that without leaving my hair gunky or stiff. It was soft and bouncy throughout the day and I laid on it, pulled on it, hiked with it, and ran through the rain with it! Same with my makeup, I wanted a smaller nose, bigger eyes, and a more prominent chin and she made it all happen!When I first inquired for wedding day hair and makeup, I asked if she offers touch ups and she said it’s generally not needed. I admit I was hesitant about that because every other artist I inquired with, emphasized that touch ups would be included in their price. But Katie was not lying, I roughed it out yesterday and hair a...nd makeup was able to keep up!Bottom line, Katie's work is amazing! My expectations were set really high and somehow she still exceeded it. You combine talent with an admirable personality, and you get the whole darn package!I'll see Katie again soon for my wedding and there is no one else I would rather rely on. She gives me one less thing to worry about. My fiance and I have really busy schedules and I have relied a whole lot on my coordinator to suggest and decide on vendors. From the day the ring was placed on my finger, I have been set on two vendors...Katie and our photographer. Someone to make me look my absolute best and someone to capture the look! :)

Very prompt and efficient. Spoke twice on the phone prior to the wedding, to go over the little details, but kept in touch via email every time I had a question (which was quite a few). Katie made me feel comfortable and relaxed as she worked on me. I was very, very happy with the results. My makeup and hair lasted all day, so I didn't have to worry about reapplying once. For a bride, I believe that takes a bit of pressure off your shoulders, being hounded by everyone, and all. There's no time to spare. To be short and direct, look at her previous work. I would give Katie 6 stars if I could! She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day, the prettiest I've ever felt. She knew the look I wanted before I even gave her any examples, and she executed perfectly. The products she uses are top quality, and last through sweat, tears, movement, hugs, you name it! My hair and makeup looked great all night (even through a very active salsa first dance, and lots of dancing and jumping around with the live band), my veil stayed in place through a very windy outdoor ceremony and was easily removed afterward, and she made my mom glow. My mom's signature makeup style is blue eyeshadow and red lips, and somehow Katie worked with what my mom wanted & made her absolutely gorgeous without being dated. From my wedding alone, I've already had 5 friends (in relationships and not in relationships) say that they want Katie for their big day. I can't blame them! The best decision I ever made was to book Katie as my first vendor. Who doesn't want to look their absolute best on their most special day ever? Especially with all the photographs and video; I'd hate to look back on my beautiful memories with sub-par makeup and hair. The beautiful photos have already started coming in, and in every single one my hair and makeup are flawless.

I found Katie B's website about 1 year before my wedding, and I KNEW I had to have her as my makeup artist. I tried trials with other stylists, but they just couldn't seem to get it right. I went ahead and booked her w/o a trial for me and my mother. I am soooooo glad that we used her. My makeup turned out SOOOOOOOOOO awesome! Even better than I could have imagined. I got soo many compliments on my wedding day, and my mother's makeup looked fantastic too. I love the fact that she's a perfectionist at her work, because I'm the same way. Plus, she's super sweet and lovely to work with. Seriously she is the best in makeup - you won't find anyone who is even in the same playing field as her.

What can we say about Katie B? Well one thing for sure is that there were no "negatives." Katie B is "awesome." There was something about her personality and her attitude in life that really gravitated us to her. She was very professional and "honest." She has an "eye" in bring out the beauty of a person. She knew what looks good on someone and she knew what "works."

Katie B was just not one of our vendors but she was a friend. This shows you the type of person Katie B was. With the small amount of time we've known her, it felt like we've known each other for years. She could relate to you as well as you could relate to her.

My wife looked beautiful during our engagement photos and also during our wedding. My wife was already beautiful but Katie B added that extra "somethin' somethin'. Katie B's products were good too. The make-up was outstanding. It even withstand my wife's tears. During the daughter and father dance in our wedding my wife could not stop crying. The tears did not even smeared the make-up. Ladies if you are looking for the best bridal makeup artist there is out there, look no further! Hands down, I have got to say that Katie B is the BEST!! I just recently got married this past December and I was in search for a great makeup artist that could work with Asian skin, especially those with olive or yellow tones. I wanted someone that could make me look radiant and not make me look too cakey or made up. Let me tell you, in the past 3 years I have helped many of my girl friends plan for their weddings and I've helped them look for the right makeup artist for their weddings. I've found many that would suit the needs of girls with fair skin and dark skin, those that could cover up scars, and those who could make you look natural. Other artists could do just some of what I mentioned above, not all. Katie B on the other hand, can do it all. My wedding party consisted of eight girls in all different skin tones, colors, minor skin imperfections, etc. including my own skin. After she did her work on us, we all looked flawless and fresh from the beginning of the day to the end. Katie B was the first person I had a trial session with and she ended up being the last for me. That was the day I met her right hand guy... Katie's husband Shaun!! He is awesome! They make a dynamic duo !Ladies, if you have a trial session with her, you very likely not go to another for a trial because she is that good. She spent the time to listen to me and share with me her thoughts and recommendations about what we could do for my wedding day makeup and she also took into consideration that I wanted to look natural on my wedding day as well. She also uses her own high definition makeup line so I was confident that I had made the right choice for makeup artist. Her products were good and non-irritating on my sensitive skin. And because the products were great on my skin, I am a Katie B cosmetics user as well. On the wedding day, she spent a lot of time on not only me but my bridesmaids, making sure that our makeup complemented what we all wore that day and how we all looked with our hair done. I knew that I wouldn't have to worry about anything when it came to Katie B and my wedding day. In then end, my wedding day was a day to remember as one of the best days of my life because I could not stop smiling. Not only did I feel great, my husband will never forget how I looked when he saw me walk down that isle. Thank you Katie B & Shaun B for everything!

Part II of my review of Katie B (Oct. 23, 2010): I cannot stress how incredibly happy I am with Katie B's services! This is my second experience with Katie B and I was not disappointed at all! I loved how she did my makeup on my wedding day! I trusted her completely with my makeup on my special day. I did not have to worry at all and that is a such great feeling. I was also very happy with how Katie did my hair. I remember being so busy that week of my wedding and I still didn't have any idea how I wanted to do my hair. Katie was so nice to send me a picture of a possible hairdo even though I knew she was so busy that week as well. Katie really put that extra effort and I appreciate it! Again, she was on time, very professional and extremely friendly. Her professionalism really makes a huge difference when you know that time can be a factor on your wedding day. I was so comfortable with her that day, it just made my wedding day such a great experience from beginning to end! I am going to recommend Katie to all my friends that will need makeup or hair done. To know that you will look fantastic on your special day is definitely worth the money! Thank you Katie!!

Part I of my review of Katie B (April 17, 2010): Katie B does an awesome job when it comes to makeup! I first met Katie B at my friend's wedding as the maid of honor. I was worried about how the makeup would look on me because I have never been happy with any makeup artist in the past. I was pleasantly surprised and really liked how she did my makeup at my friend's wedding. I had to hurry and find out if she was available for my wedding and I lucked out! I can't wait to work with her again on my wedding day. She's so friendly and professional! It is such a joy to have met her.

I first learned of Katie B in 2007 during my best friend’s wedding. As part of the bridal party I saw the great work she did for my friend. I was also very impressed when I saw the before and after photos on her website. After seeing her work I knew I wanted Katie to help me look my best for my own special day. I knew she was a person I could trust to do an awesome job. It was two years before my actual wedding day that I contacted Katie. She was the first vendor I made sure I booked. That’s how important she was to me for my wedding day.



On the day of the wedding, Katie & Shaun arrived right on time and were on schedule to have me ready by 10:30am for the early 12:00 noon church ceremony. She was very efficient with her time especially with my extra long hair that needed to be curled. She knew exactly how to do my hair and make-up to make me feel and look gorgeous on my wedding day. The hairstyle and the make-up complemented the look I was going for and framed my face well. I had never felt as beautiful as I did until I saw myself for the first time in the mirror. She also helped me place my hair accessory and veil so that it would stay put and look just perfect. And after looking back at the photos that were taken that day, I’m so thankful and glad I was able to work with Katie. I knew I made the right choice. The make-up and hair lasted and held up for our very long day from the early morning until the late night. And this was even after a lot of dancing to finish the night. My additional lashes that she put on stayed until I removed them myself before going to sleep. She did a wonderful job overall and I couldn't be more thankful for her hard work.



When I first spoke with Katie over the phone, I found she was very easy to talk to. She was even more friendly and down to earth when I met her in person. I felt like I had already known her for a long time. I just felt so comfortable with her and she had my complete trust. It must be her sweet personality that complements her work which makes the overall experience that much better.



After the wedding I began thinking, what other events could I use Katie B for that I would need my make-up professionally done. If I could I would use her all the time just to feel like a million bucks! I absolutely love her work and so does my husband. As he would say, “THANK GOD for KATIE B!” =)

I had the honor of having Katie B do my hair and makeup for both my engagement session and my wedding! After endless searches for a hair/makeup artist, I managed to stumble across Katie B's profile here on Project Wedding. Her profile completely stood out because her transformation photos literally took my breath away. I knew right then that I was going to hire her! I became anxious and contacted her right away and found out that she was available to do my wedding!

Working with Katie B for my engagement session and wedding confirmed her true talent right before my eyes. My "before" and "after" photos were a true testament of her ability to transform a bride into looking AND feeling so glamorous...like "a million bucks" as she says! She made me look and feel amazing on my wedding day...as a bride should feel. She is not only an amazingly talented, passionate, professional AND punctual hair and makeup artist, but she is also a very sweet and down-to-earth person who is a good listener and is very attuned to her clients wants and needs.

She is also very experienced in this industry and does work on many celebrities. She is very up to date on the current trends and styles especially for weddings.

I was also worried about my mom being happy with her hair/makeup on my wedding as she is hard to please. After Katie B worked on her, my mom was not only amazed and happy with the result, but she was speechless! She raves about how Katie B not only made her look younger and glamorous, but like a model too! She got so many compliments at the wedding and from pictures.

Katie also has her own mineral makeup line, that of which she completely uses on her clients. Let me tell you, this makeup is probably the best that I have ever worn! I've told Katie countless times how oily my skin is, that makeup usually slides off of my face, and how worried I was that I'd be "shiny" in my wedding photos. On my wedding day, I honestly didn't have to blot my face that much because her makeup not only stayed on, but it still looked fresh! It has great coverage! Even my eye makeup was intact 12 hours later (since she did my makeup in the morning)!

Katie is seriously worth every penny. Her and Shaun make a great team in transforming brides! With the help of Shaun, my hair was so full and voluminous AND it didn't fall flat at all throughout the evening. I also rented Katie B's 100% human hair and handmade (by her) extensions on my wedding day for added fullness and volume. I love her work and cannot rave about her enough. Even my bridesmaids loved her work and they were amazed just watching her transform me. I looked great in the photos that I've seen from friends and family. I can't wait to see my professional photos, as I'm sure that my hair/makeup will look even more amazing!

Katie B. is exactly who I was looking for! I left it to Katie to decide what "look" would be best for my Big Day. I was over-the-moon with the final look and so was my husband! It was light and the color palette and technique enhanced my features. I really wanted my eyes to look big (as I have a scarce eye lid) and Katie did exactly that sans the eye tape. My mother also had her make-up done and she looked stunning. I have a handful of friends who were inquiring about my make-up. Katie B's makeup artistry is truly amazing! I knew as soon as I got engaged that I wanted her to do my bridal makeup and hair because I've seen her flawless work in the past on other brides I know. She was a little over my budget, but she totally worked with me by offering to meet for a consultation instead of a preview. She always responded quickly when I had questions and made me feel at ease to the point where I felt like we were just good friends hanging out.

She is extremely professional and has her schedule/timing down to a science! Since she is high in demand, she easily does 2 to 3 weddings in one day (which made me nervous, but I realized on my wedding day that she is just that good!). She was punctual (actually even half an hour early!) and she did make sure there was more than enough time to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day without me feeling rushed! She took her time to make sure I looked perfect and that I was completely satisfied with every single detail of my makeup and hair before she left. The whole time she was very friendly which made me forget about the stress of my wedding day. Katie B and her husband-to-be made a great team!

Everyone loved my makeup and so did my husband...I truly felt and looked my best on my wedding day. Katie B assured me that my makeup would stay all day and night and it sure did! I even fell asleep with everything on because I was so exhausted and my makeup was still intact in the morning! On your wedding day you should look and feel your best which is why I highly recommend Katie B to everyone! She's worth every penny!

Katie did such an amazing job on my make up and hair for my wedding day. I must say I looked at so many hair styles and makeup, I got confused. Of course Katie came to the rescue, she gave me suggestions on what to do. I basically left her in charge. Omg the result was absolutely stunning! Katie is super talented!!!! I got so many compliments on my makeup/hair basically from every single person there at my wedding and my neighbor:)....about 3 compliments from each person, yeah I looked that GOOD hehe

From the word go, my fiance had her heart set on having Katie B do her makeup for our engagement and wedding photos and after seeing her work first hand and getting the opportunity to meet her I can understand why. Katie B is probably one of the most honest, loving, intuitive, and artistic person I now know...My heart was set on her for hair, makeup, and pictures the minute I saw her work on myspace. Katie B did my bridal hair and make up on June 26, 2010, and she did an absolutely fantastic job. I've rarely had my make up done by another person, and I've never been happy with the results until I met Katie B. One thing I truly appreciated was when she told me that she wanted me to recognize myself once the hair and make up were complete. This assured me right away that Katie B's first priority is the satisfaction of her clients. For my bridal look, I wanted a more glamorous version of my every day self, and she accomplished exactly what I wanted. She is an amazing artist with an eye for color and the ability to work miracles with hair. She is also a true professional--she responded quickly to email, confirmed our appointment by phone, and arrived punctually on the Big Day. I appreciated her professionalism because, as everyone knows how stressful weddings can be, she took the stress out of planning and executing a stunning wedding day look. I will always remember how Katie B did a fabulous job with my hair (which I wore all down and wavy), then helped me place the tiara and cathedral veil that covered the train of my gown. Katie saved me from the worst bridal nightmare.. 2 weeks before my wedding, my makeup artist cancelled on me. I found her from facebook, loved her work and tried to contact her. Although only way to contact her at first was through email, which was driving me crazy with all my anticipation. But finally, she confirmed that she can do the makeup for me, then the stress was gone.
She showed up on time and she was very fast and I was impress how she can change thing that I didn't like without messing it up like other makeup artists I tried before. I absolutely love her makeup line. I have a very oily face and nothing had work for me throughout the whole day but Katie assured me that with her products, I should be fine.. I didn't believe her at first (they all said that) but towards the end of the night.. I was still flawless. The way katie does the hair was amazing! I showed her 2 pictures and I asked her to do a combination between the two. She got my vision and my hair looks so soo sooooo amazing! Love it so much! I thought gay makeup artist was the way to go but Katie blows them away. You go Katie!

Absolutely wonderful!

From day 1, I knew that I didn't want anyone else but Katie doing my makeup. I didn't even have to do a trial run with her because I trusted her that much! She basically showed up the day of (on the dot and so on time that even I wasn't even ready for her!) and worked her magic. All she needed to know was what color my scheme was and a general idea of what I wanted and she literally created the perfect look for me! I'm not the type of person who wears a lot of makeup daily and I told Katie that I still wanted to look like "me" but just with makeup on. And she did it! I've never seen my eyes look so beautiful and delicate all at the same time!

Despite the time crunch, she and her charming assistant worked efficiently and meticulously and got me ready on time without skipping out on the quality and customer service. I was a nervous bride and Katie was so sweet to keep me calm and level headed. Not only was she professional in her artistry, but she knew the right things to say to ease my nerves to make me feel better. I would not have been able to start my day off right had it not been for her encouraging and light-hearted words to scare away the jitters.

My makeup stayed on the whole entire morning, day, and evening with only the occasional lipgloss touch up and oil blotting! I was still so impressed with it at 1:30am when I was getting ready to take it off after the night was over, because it still looked really fresh! Katie also did my hair for the morning, but it got snagged when I was changing out of my Vietnamese traditional dress...but the curls that Katie had put in were perfectly fabulous! So perfect that my aunt had no trouble adjusting my curls and resetting them! I was extrememly thankful for the time Katie had put into doing my curls and teasing my hair (she used almost all her hair arsenal on me...from the little curling iron to the big curling iron...even a flat iron!).

I highly recommend you go with Katie for your makeup and hair. You will not be dissapointed! Unlike other makeup artists who will make you look like an overdone barbie doll that barely even resembles you, Katie will highlight your natural beauty and bring out the gorgeous version of you (so that your soon-to-be husband will still see the girl he fell in love with underneath). She is super reliable and professional and actually cares about how you look and feel! She is the most genuine and down to earth girl you will ever meet...and truly does have a warm heart. Believe me, you don't want to go with anyone else but Katie B.

What can I say except that Katie Bee is now a part of our wedding memories whether she likes it or not ;). Every bride wants to look beautiful on her special day and I was no different? I've also never had a professional makeover done until I met Katie Bee. Anyone will tell you (and I know this to be true) that when you're shopping online you REALLY need to be careful what you sign up for! The point I'm getting at is that one day (several months before my wedding)I was looking online for bridal hair and makeup artists. It's so challenging to find a makeup/hair artist that knows just by looking at you what they need to do. I've literally spent hours upon hours at the office searching for that right one and had no luck! I've seen before and after photos of a few makeup/hair artists out there and nothing really caught my eye. They were all mediocre at best. As a bride you want to have that WOW factor! I was actually getting frustrated at one point because I know how important makeup and hair is to a bride and settling was not an option for me. I didn't give up though because eventually I would have to find something or someone pretty soon. And then all of sudden out of nowhere I came across this one before and after photo of a bride and I was like WOW!!! I was thinking to myself who the heck is this person??? At that point, I was SOLD!!! I HAD to research this person who I now know today to be Katie Bee. When you know someone is THE ONE you just KNOW!!! I started looking for more work that she has done and more before and after photos. The more I looked the more I was convinced that I MUST HIRE HER!!! At that point I didn't care HOW MUCH she charged...I just wanted HER!!! I was pleasantly surprised to know that she is a fellow asian as well? That put me at GREAT ease because I know that asians are a little bit more sensitive to looks. Asians I think just have a better idea how to do makeup on other asian women. I hope I don't sound racist and I'm not trying to, but I wouldn't hire an african-american or a caucasian to do my eye makeup because I just know it wouldn't work out. I have very small asian almond shaped eyes and these genders have big eyes. It's like asking a mechanic to do your taxes! I knew that she would be sensitive to my looks and work her magic around it somehow. Not trying to discredit other makeup/hair artists out there, but I do have to admit Katie Bee is beyond amazing and I feel she is the best of the best. She obviously knows what she is doing and it shows!!! Proof is in the pudding I always say!!! I'm a very hard critic to begin with and when I say she is the best I mean she is the best!!! I booked her immediately for a trial and actual makeup/hair session. Luckily, she was able to squeeze me in with another bride that day!!! On our trial session I had scheduled bridal shots that evening as well. I was having my pictures taken at the Hyatt Waterfront Hotel in Huntington Beach, CA. I kid you not, EVERYONE that came across my way was AWE struck!!! Almost everyone took a double take and even triple takes!!! I figured it was because I was dressed up as a bride, but I knew deep inside it was more than that?! It was the makeup and hair hands down!!! I felt like a true princess and/or celebrity and I can't stop telling you how special I felt!!! I was getting stared at so much to the point I was getting embarrassed even!!! If this is how it feels to be the center of attention then I don't think I can handle it for more than one day lol. My main concern with Katie Bee were my eyes!!! I have very small almond shaped eyes and I was hoping she could work some magic to make my eyes more bigger and she did!!! I gave her my word that I wouldn't reveal that secret hee hee, so you'll just have to find out for yourself!!! On the day of she came an extra 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. She and her fiancee got right on it and didn't waste any time at all. If that's not professionalism then I don't know what is?! A couple of hours later and VOILA!!! Pure magic all over again!!! To all future brides out there I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Katie Bee!!! Don't waste your time searching online!!! She is the BEST!!! Words cannot even describe how I felt on my wedding day!!! I asked Katie Bee to transform me into a Korean Princess/Bride and she OVER-DELIVERED!!! All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and stunning I looked!!! Pictures are forever Katie Bee and everytime I look at my photos it's a constant reminder of you and your exceptional work!!! Not only was it a pleasure working with you, but I made a new bestie as well. Shaun B is very charming as well and you two make a beautiful couple and/or team!!! I can't thank you enough Katie Bee!!! Katie B has done makeup and hair for me since my college years. From the first time she did my makeup for a special occasion back in college, compelling my mom to rave about her to this day, I have been ever since running back to Katie, happily, to doll me up. Her talent and expertise doesn't just begin and end with makeup - she's a phenomenal hair stylist as well! As a matter of fact, I recently purchased her hair extensions and what a wonderful investment it was! I receive numerous numerous compliments every time I wear them. People are stunned and shocked when I tell them it's hair extensions! They look THAT natural.

Katie is responsive, knowledgable, and extremely easy to work with. She works extremely hard to make you happy in achieving the look you want. She treats you like a friend, which quite frankly, is awesome because I hate dealing with vendors because the experience can be impersonal. Katie B is an excellent make-up artist for your wedding. My maid of honor found her after knowing I had been through several make-up trials unhappy. After reviewing her photos, I knew she would do a great job. Everyone told me and my maid of honor how amazing we looked on my wedding day. Katie did a beautiful job on both my makeup and my bridal party's. I was worried the makeup would look heavy or unnatural, but Katie knew exactly what she was doing and I looked like myself but much more beautiful! My maid-of-honor was so impressed with her work she wants to book Katie for her own wedding later this year. Katie was very professional during my makeup trial and wedding day. I had heard horror stories from friends about makeup artists canceling last minute on their wedding day, but after meeting Katie for my makeup trial I knew I could depend on her. She even managed to fit in hair and makeup for an extra person with only one week's notice! Thank you, Katie, for being so sweet and accommodating!

I searched everywhere for a makeup and hair artist for my wedding. Looking at all of the other artists they made their brides look like themselves only wearing a little more makeup. I knew I didn't want that and I also didn't want a artist who only did weddings.

When I found Kaite I knew she was the one. Her before and afters are what convinced me because they were truly transformations. Kaite can make even the most Plain Jane bride into a beauty so I knew that she could make me look amazing.

I knew I wanted to do a trial because I am way too controlling to let the day of my wedding be the first run. My trial with Kaite and Shaun was like a meeting with friends, I never felt like just a client. Kaite and Shaun truly put me at ease and made my trial a wonderful experience. The final result was breathtaking I looked like a model. It was then that I knew Kaite was the absolute right choice for me.

On the day of my wedding Katie and Shaun couldn't have preformed better. My hair and makeup were perfect I couldn't ask for anything more. All of my bridesmaid's and even my wedding photographer were blown away by the way I looked. Kaite did everything extremely quickly and it looked like it took me hours to get ready. My makeup and hair lasted the entire wedding even in the very unseasonably warm March weather.

If I had to do it all over again I would have booked Katie way earlier. The best thing about Katie is she made me feel gorgeous and she feels like a friend now rather than just a wedding vendor.

Katie did both my hair and makeup for my wedding, She does work for my sister and I am so glad I was able to book her...Let me start by saying, when she was done, I could NOT stop smiling...she made me look GORGEOUS and it lasted THE WHOLE DAY!!!! I think I may have blotted once, and that is it. I had never had my makeup done before but the products she used were so light-feeling that I was super comfortable. She made great suggestions during the makeup application (bronzer for example) and she REALLY REALLY knows her stuff. My hair was amazing, it kept its serious volume all night and it was just stunning. I am so so so so happy I got Katie because let me tell you, her makeup photographs flawlessly. She is such a hard worker and busy person but yet she is fun to be around during the application process.

katie b was way out of my price range, but absolutely worth it. i was pretty budget-conscious and relaxed about my wedding, meaning that i always chose the most budget-friendly vendor. but katie b's work is so good that i decided to splurge. she transforms you into the most beautiful version of yourself and the makeup/hair lasts throughout a very long, active day. my impression is that other makeup artists either 1) make you look great, but nothing like yourself, 2) make you look over-stylized/fake, and/or 3) have only one "look" which they try to impose on you and all your bridesmaids. katie b is versatile, and can do anything from subtle to dramatic. she listens to you carefully and gives you the look you want. she's patient and will revise and redo until you're pleased with the result. she and shaun and super friendly and easy to chat with. they're vendors you'll enjoy spending time with. and she's getting married soon -- congrats katie and shaun! best wishes on your wedding!

After searching all over California for a makeup team for my wedding, I found Katie B. She did my makeup and hair for my engagement shoot and wedding. Katie is professional, sweet, smart, and the best thing is that she listens to exactly what you want. So for my engagement shoot, I had a look with smokey eyes and for the wedding, i had a much more natural look. Both events were amazing and Katie B helped make that happen. Her and Shawn B. are an excellent team- and I would endorse their work any time!!

Although I'm not able to book Katie due to conflicts, her work looks absolutely gorgeous and she has been so helpful even though I wasn't able to book her. Normally, if you aren't able to book for whatever reason, people don't pay attention to you anymore but Katie has continued be very helpful and kind! So things actually worked out and I was able to book Katie Bee for my wedding this past January. Let me tell you, you really DO NOT want to book anyone else for your special day! I’m going to try to make this as short as possible, but there are just so many great things to say about her that it’s going to be hard!

Let me start off by just saying, Katie Bee is the BEST out there! Makeup wise: My favorite things about her work were one, she really knows how to bring out your eyes, two the makeup stays on all day, and three, I just love that airbrush flawless look, and yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is real! We took pictures with regular digital cameras and were amazed! Feel free to email me if you want to see them! All of my bridesmaids and I looked AMAZING! We didn’t have to worry about our makeup aside from touching up our lips of course. To top it off, she caters to YOU. She asked all the girls what they wore on a day to day basis and what they’d be comfortable with so she knew how dark or light to make their makeup. She unbelievably matched everyone’s makeup with their personalities while still getting that amazing transformation that we were all anxiously waiting for!

Hair wise: I had brain surgery last summer where they had to shave half of my head to the scalp. With my wedding 6 months or so away, I knew that I had to get some kind of extensions or fake hair but had NO IDEA what to be looking for or what I was going to do. Having seen Katie Bee’s work, I knew right away that she’d be the perfect person to help me with this dilemma. For both my makeup and hair, we were not able to do trials, but just communicated through email and phone on my favorite looks. What she did to my hair was by far WAY better than the picture I showed her! She knew my face shape, my head shape, and my personality and turned the hairstyle I gave her of Carrie Underwood into MY style. My hair looked amazing, long and curled and it continued looking that way ALL NIGHT!

One of the things I was looking forward to the most was how I’d look for our special day. Another thing I was looking forward to though, was getting Alan’s (my husband) reaction to how I looked. Let me tell you, when I was walking down the aisle, he was crying a lot harder than I was expecting! Now, Alan always tells me I am beautiful with or without makeup and I love that about him. But of course on this special day, you want to look a little different, right?! After telling me I was beautiful like he always does every day, the first thing he said to me was “Katie Bee did a really great job!” Did I mention Alan got a little magic done by Katie Bee also?!

Although you are obviously looking for a talented makeup artist and hair stylist, which Katie Bee DEFINITELY is, one thing that made her just THAT much more amazing was her heart. She is such a loving, kind and FUNNY person that it doesn’t even seem like she’s one of your vendors. It’s like you’ve been friends forever! She is so down to earth, honest and genuine that it just makes the whole experience that much better. I’ve not only found a makeup artist that I know I’m going to book for every special occasion, but I’ve found a good friend! My worries and concerns of what I was going to look like on my special day with my situation completely melted away when I was able to book Katie Bee. Trust me, you don’t want to go with anyone else! I am still getting compliments about how I looked after the wedding’s been done and over with! And Katie’s right, you can definitely skip the trial with her! She’s just THAT good!

Katie did my sister's (Phoebe) bridal party makeup of which I was a part of. Phoebe was so excited to have Katie for her wedding so she always talked about how good her work was. The rest of us had very high expectations because of all the hype!!

On the day of the wedding, Katie asked each girl questions about their makeup style and she really listened to the answers. She was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable. The very best part is that everyone LOVED their makeup (Katie did only my sister's hair which she also loved). We all looked flawless and the pictures that we took on our own cameras look like our skin was airbrushed.

That night the bride and bridal party got soooo many compliments. At the church a guy came up to me and another bridesmaid and told us that our group of bridesmaids was the most beautiful he had ever seen. There's no doubt in my mind that it was all thanks to Katie's talent and hard work.

Our makeup looked beautiful through the whole night. Katie went above and beyond our expectations and she did all of this with no trials!! I was sad to have to wash my face off!

I'm so glad to have met someone as talented and sincere as Katie that I've been trying to think of events that I would need her for! I am truly looking forward to the next time.

There are three things you should know about me: 1) I'm not good at putting my own makeup on, 2) I like getting good deals, and 3) I'm very particular about most things. Most of my family (who live abroad) was not able to attend my wedding, so I needed spectacular pictures to send them - and I was stressed about wanting to look my best.

My worries melted away when I met Katie. She's professional without being cold. She's actually a very kind and warm-spirited person. I didn't feel like just another appointment in her book. She called me before each session (trial and wedding) to check on how I was doing. She took the time to help me research hair jewelry - which I didn't even know existed until she told me about it! She found a store 10 minutes away from my office, where I bought a lovely haircomb with feathers. She also helped me select a hairstyle (she was very patient with my indecisiveness, refer to #3 above), which I would never have thought of. Both went perfectly with my dress.

Then there's her work on makeup - it was immaculate. I'm not sure how else to describe it. She made my eyes and skin look like they never have before (refer to #1 above)! Sturdy is another word that comes to mind - I didn't need any touchups, except lip gloss of course (although Katie's lip laquer really toughs it out). On regular days, my eyeshadow and under-eye concealer are running after 5 hours. Katie's work lasted the whole 10 hours, even when I turned into a dance machine after several drinks. =)

What impressed me the most, aside from her kindness, was her work ethic. I almost think she cared about how I looked more than I did (refer to #3 above)! She spent time stepping back and analyzing my makeup to make sure it was flawless. She made sure every single hair was in place, and secure - without having it look like a hard helmet. And mind you, I was her second bride of the day. While sitting in her chair, I had a chance to hear about her personal life, her exciting assignments/adventures, as well as her 3am call times, frequent travels, and long days… but she never complained. I can tell that she loves her job, which made my experience even better. I trust her completely.

This was the best money I spent on the wedding (refer to #2 above). It relieved me of a great amount of stress, knowing that my hair and makeup looked perfect in the photos. I've gotten countless compliments on how I looked on my wedding day. The experience also led me to meet a wonderful person that I plan on keeping in touch with for years to come.

Katie B is everything you would want in a makeup artist, friend, a partner and everything else. I initially found Katie B on a friend's myspace and i couldn't wait till her faux lash mascura launched. When her makeup line launched i was ordering them left and right, and then i knew she would be the one to do my makeup and hair for my engagement/wedding. Honesty I didn't even have to look at her work to book her, I trusted her jugemetn that she would do an amazing job and YES INDEED she did!! She exceeded my expectations, and her prices are reasonable too. Katie B is so fun to work with.

My first booking was for my engagement 7/26/2008. I told her that I usually wear light makeup, so she made me look so natural and yet I looked like the most beautiful bride-to-be ever. She was pretty fast too, and she did an excellent job. I would totally recommend Katie B. Two thumbs up!!!

My second booking was this past weekend for a pre-wedding shoot in San Diego, 6/22/2009. My initial time for us to shoot was around 1pm, but Katie B and Shaun B suggested that we shoot around 5pm to get the sunset. Plus shootting at 1pm would be too much lighting. So we grabbed lunch and hung out for a while. Shaun and Katie are soo much fun to hang out with. She is my sister (the sister i've never had).

You have to get Katie B as your MUA! :D I saw her pictures on MySpace and I instantly KNEW I wanted to have her! Even though, it wasn't exactly in our budget.
I did a make-up trial and engagement pics with Katie and Shaun back in August. I'm the type of person who doesn't wear make up. I just put moisturizer and go. Katie asked me a few questions about myself and make-up just so she can get an idea for the trial.
The day of, I wasn't nervous really. I had faith that she would not cake on make-up. I've had make up done for me in the past and I HATED it when they did that! Katie and Shaun came to my apartment and she worked her magic. I told her I wanted to look natural since I didn't wear much make-up. I don't remember how long it took but boy was she quick. I saw the final results and I was speechless. My jaw dropped! I actually felt pretty! My future MIL came over and saw me and she was speechless, too. She commented how gorgeous I looked and how flawless the make-up was. (Now my MIL wants to get it done by her, too!) I looooved it! It was too bad I had to wash off the make-up before I went to sleep.
I totally recommend Katie! She's totally cool and listens to your concerns and ACTUALLY does what you want! She's extremely easy to work with and responds to all your questions/emails/text/phone calls in a timely manner, which I tend to do a lot. =P I made the right investment by booking her!! It's money well spent and I would sacrifice in other areas to get her!!! I could go on and on all day...what are you waiting for?! Go book her now! :D

I was sooo nervous about my makeup and hair but not anymore. I am grateful that I found Katie. She is super sweet and made me feel beautiful inside and out. It is very important for me to be relaxed on my wedding day since I tend to get nervous, after my trial with Katie I know that I am in good hands, and all my worries have disappeared. I was stressed because I normally have clear skin however recently I have developed a bad case of acne, Katie was able to cover it up and made my skin look flawless. Katie also made me feel really comfortable during the trial, she didn't treat me like I was just another appointment, but made me feel like she understood how important my wedding is to me, and therefore really listened to what I had to say and succeeded in making me look even more beautiful than I imagined. My advice to future brides is to not spend money on trials with other makeup artists, Katie's experience and talent will ensure that every bride's dream look is achieved.

Makeup & Hair:
I LOVED my hair and makeup for the wedding. Katie did an awesome job on me and my wedding party. I had bad experiences with makeup artists who were not familiar with Asian features, therefore it was very important to me that the makeup artist have extensive experience working with Asian brides. Katie is exactly that person. When I met her, she was so friendly and easy to work with. After the trial run, I was confident that Katie would do a great job for me on the day of the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, my makeup stayed put ALL DAY and my up-do was totally secure (I partied a bit too hard that night and slept on my up-do. My hair was still in near perfect condition when I woke up the next day =P). I did not have any fly away hair and I was picture perfect ALL DAY (from 10am through 10pm). I could not have asked for a better makeup and hair artist! A few of my girls from my wedding party are getting married and they have all contacted Katie to see if Katie would do their makeup for them!

I loved Katie's make up from the wedding so much that I have gotten a virtual make over from Katie and I am about to starting using her makeup line on daily basis.

Professionalism and responsiveness:
Katie is very easy going and flexible. It was extremely easy to work with Katie when I was planning for my wedding. I did not like making personal calls at work to contact vendors for the wedding. Katie made it easy for me since she was (and still is) super responsive via email. She travels to your location, which made it very easy for me. She came to my house to do the trial run and she (along with her crew) traveled to Temecula on the day of the wedding to work on me and my wedding party. She was on time for every meeting we had. If I had to rank all my vendors for my wedding, Katie would be ranked #1.

Katie is amazing! My wedding would not have been as great if it wasn't for her makeup and hairstyling abilities. I'm really picky when it comes to makeup and hair and I had to go through 5 other hair and makeup trials with other artists before I found Katie. When she did my hair and makeup trial, I booked her on the spot because she just made me look amazing. I wish I would have found her sooner rather than wasting my money and time with other artists. She was able to work with my oily skin and long hair without any problems. My foundation looked flawless and she was able to add gorgeous curls to my long, straight hair and she did it fast considering the amount of hair I have. Okay at first I was reluctant to get my makeup done because I am the type of girl who does not wear alot of makeup plus of the cost. It was for my best friends wedding and I was her maid of honor so she wanted me to look good. Katie B was so sweet and made me feel comfortable enough where I could trust her. She is worth the money, especially because I was dancing at my best friend's wedding the whole night and I didnt even need a touch up!!! It didnt even feel like I was wearing any make up either. I felt beautiful and my best friend looked even more stunning. Katie is really good at what she does and when it's time for me to walk down the aisle I will be using her.. :)

Katie and her assistants did an absolutely phenomenal job on makeup and hair for me (the bride), my bridesmaids, as well as the moms of the bride and groom. I was so fortunate to be able to have Katie B. do my hair and makeup as well as all my bridesmaid's makeup. She EXCEEDED my expectations!!! I knew she was going to do such a great job that I didn't even schedule a trail with her. Katie B. came on time and finished on time...she even stayed around a little for the ceremony to touch me up a little before it all started. We got so many compliments!! I cut my hair a few days before the wedding because I was going to have extensions...and no one could tell I was wearing them. My hair was long, beautiful and natural looking. I first had the opportunity to use Katie when she did my friend's wedding and I was one of the bridesmaids. She was wonderful to work with and it was one of the few if not only times I didn't look super Asiany (i.e. chinky eyes) with my makeup! I loved how the makeup and hair turned out great in pictures and lasted the ENTIRE night. Since I had such a good experience with Katie, I decided to give her makeup a try. I sent her a picture of me at my friend's wedding when she did my makeup and one with me without makeup and she was able to give me a "virtual" makeover by recommending which products to use and how to use them. I so far have used her baked mineral powder and stick concealer/foundation and LOVE them! They provide great coverage and the best thing about them is that a little goes a long way AND it lasts ALL day. I don't like that "caked-on" feeling or look but it feels and looks very light and clean since you don't have to use that much for it to work it's magic.

I would definitely recommend using Katie for any special occasion you need to be dolled up for or if you're looking for a fresh change in your makeup. It's great that with her crazy schedule she still takes the time to respond to your emails personally. You should feel like you're in good hands with Katie because she really does want to make sure you look your best!

I had Katie B do my makeup and hair for both my engagement photo session and my wedding. I can't explain how beautiful and glamourous I felt! On a daily basis I have a simple and natural look, and Katie B did a fabulous job on selecting a color palete that complemented me without making me over done but at the samtime my wedding images captured the beautiful colors of her mineral makeup line (which I love! I have a few of her products that I cannot get enough of).
I was so happy that she also styles hair because she did on awesome job. Katie B. Is like an all in one service, she's talented and is great at what she does.

I first encountered Katie B when she did makeup for an acquaintance of mine that I have known for a while. After I discovered who was responsible for her make-up I decided to check out Katie's website and saw all the other makeup she has done. I also started purchasing Katie's products like her mascara and eye shadows. I was so impressed with her products that I decided to contact her to do my bridal makeup and hair for my wedding in May of 2007. Katie is very personable with her clients and showed her professionalism. She also gave me a call the day before the wedding day to make sure everything was OK.

Wow, where do I even begin with Katie B? She is the sweetest person ever. She is a wonderful person to be around because of her amazing auora. She wants to do whatever possible to make a bride feel beautiful on her special day. Katie B took into consideration a look that I wanted, and created it above and beyond to fit my personality. I know absolutely nothing about hair and makeup. I'm simply a masacra, chapstick, and straightened hair kind of girl, so I'm usually scared to have my hair and makeup done by anyone. With Katie B, however, I trusted her completely. I've seen her work, and I was comfortable with having her take total control on how I looked for such an important and meaningful day. Her work using her own makeup line is completely flawless untouched in pictures, and I didn't even feel or look like I was wearing much makeup. I also had the privlige of using her hair extensions. They were the most natural looking things. Many could not tell that they were extensions until they had asked me how my hair was so long and full. They also happened to be clip-on, which made removing as simple as bobby pins. Shuan was also wonderful to be around. He just made the energy on the set even more enjoyable. He works hard to capture the best pictures and is such a kind person.

I give my highest reccomendation for Katie B and Shuan to anyone looking to look stunning and flawless on their big day- you wont regret it, I promise!

The best there is! No need to look any further; she travels to your location if you are not in the LA area (i'm from San Diego). I met Katie when she did hair and makeup for my sister's wedding last October. I decided then that I needed her for my wedding this past August and that I wouldn't hire anyone else!

First, she is super sweet and easy to get along with. Having a connection with someone who is to do your hair and makeup is highly important to me. Katie and her team are very professional, yet fun at the same time. You're guaranteed to be laughing and enjoying the entire time it takes for her to do your hair/makeup.

Additionally, she is skilled at what she does and and will have your hair and makeup done with precision in a short amount of time (as compared to other makeup artists I have worked with). You can tell the difference of her work as compared to other makeup artists and the makeup (and hair) will last all night! It looks so good that you don't want to ever take it off! Both my hair and makeup looked like perfection thanks to Katie!

She also uses her own makeup line which is far better than most other makeup brands I have worn; even better than what you find at Mac and Sephora. I requested for her to compile a list of all of her own Katie B products that she used on me so that I could buy them all!

I truly felt like a bride on my wedding day and I received so many compliments as did my 11 bridesmaids. I have never felt so beautiful in my life! She is that good! I even had people asking me or my hubby about Katie B for their future weddings!
