Phil did an awesome job!! He is very organized, and responds in a timely manner. He is open for whatever suggestions you want, but most importantly keeps the party going!! We absolutely loved everything!!

Phil is a fantastic DJ, from the dinner music to the dancing...he picked awesome songs and I never had to worry! I got married at Joliet Union Station Grand Ballroom and was very worried as I heard complaints about the fact that the room was difficult for music and speeches becuase of the vaulted cielings but Phil has special equipment for the room and the sound quality was flawless! Not to mention, Phil is a just a really nice guy who makes you fee comfertable and at ease!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Phil. He did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding. We live 6 hours away from where we had our wedding, so most of our discussions were over the phone. However, he is always so responsive and anytime I had a question or wanted to discuss things he was always available. He even contacted me to go over the order of things at the reception and make sure that I was comfortable, as well as to practice pronouncing everyone's names to make sure everything went perfect. He offered to meet with me as many times as needed prior to the wedding. I loved the online forms that he uses to allow you to choose music you want/don't want played at your reception. He was very professional and very energetic. Played great music and felt out my wedding guests and changed his playlist accordingly. Everyone had a great time dancing. He also approached both myself, my husband, and my father during the reception to make sure we were happy with everything. He also brought uplighting that looked beautiful in the venue. Was timely and ready to go when we arrived at the reception. Just wonderful!

My wedding overall was such a great success. I planned my wedding from states away, and had to rely heavily on email and phone contact. This was slightly nerve racking, because I had to put my trust into the hands of all of my vendors. I have to say that Mana Music, hands down owned up to all he had promised. He worked with me with such patience, providing support and recommendations through my planning process. I gave him my likes and dislikes in terms of music, and the music he played was outstanding. The comment that I received from every guest from young cousins to older grandparents was, "How did you choose that music!" Our dance floor did not stop, and he continued to play past the time we had our room. Every guest was on the floor, the pictures and videos are priceless. Thank you for making our wedding day so memorable and fun!

Phil did an AMAZING job at our wedding and I would recommend him to anyone! He was extremely flexible and always ready to put our needs first. Phil was the DJ at my sister's wedding back in 2007, and he did such a fantastic job that when my fiance and I became engaged, we knew that we wanted Phil to be our DJ.

When we went to visit Phil, it became immediately apparent that Phil loves his job and takes great pride in playing music that keeps the party rocking all night long. He can read the crowd and knows exactly what songs to play at the right times.

Phil shares the same belief as we do to how important the music is for the wedding. We had our guests choose their favorite two songs to play during the reception and we sent this list to Phil. He not only diligently create an awesome sequence from the selections, he met with us to go over the whole night, not just music-wise, but also coordinating with the photographer, videographer, officiant and the facility staff. He is exceptionally detail-oriented and has a great sense of humor. He listens to what the bride wants and has great advice for making everything run smoothly. Also, he has several books on so many genres of music, so you know he is really into his music! He is dedicated and very knowledgeable with tons of experience. He is well worth every penny! We really enjoyed working with him. He made our night a very memorable one. We highly recommend Phil.

Phil was wonderful. From the first day we met him my fiance and I felt very comfortable with him. He is very honest, helpful, and most importantly dedicated to make sure you and your guests have a wonderful time. My dance floor was packed all night...we talked multiple times before the wedding so that he could find out what type of crowd would be at the wedding. He incorporated that as well as my fiance and my requests and turned them into an unforgettable night for everyone.

Phil is awesome! He's very accomodating "whatever is easiest for you!" he said to me several times during planning. The day of the wedding, he kept everything moving quickly, kept the dance floor packed, kept guests happy by playing their requests, followed my "must play" and "do not play" lists and anything I asked him to say or do he did at the end of whatever song he was playing. Fantastic!!!! From the first time we met with Phil he was very professional and thorough, he followed up with me several times to see if there was anything else we wanted done right before the wedding which was nice since I had so much going on. Phil was the most accommodating person ever. He made sure to play every song I asked for. We had a ton of guests from Ireland and they kept requesting Phil to play Irish songs; he actually downloaded them and played them right away. Everyone keeps telling us how much fun they had. The only problem we had was that nobody wanted to leave the hall. Thank you for everything Phil we had a blast, it would not have been the same without all the Irish songs that's for sure!!

My day went perfect because I had an excellent team of seasoned professionals that knew how to run this with their eyes closed! We were fortunate enough to have Manna Music DJ at our wedding.

As it is, most people consider the DJ to be the most important detail of the wedding... other than the bride and groom of course. Finding someone who can sit behind some speakers and play some music off of his / her iPod is a quality that you can find pretty much anywhere in a world that runs off of Apple.

Manna Music is not that kind of a company.

After a 3 hour face to face conversation with Phil at Manna Music, I knew that this was the company for us. Not only was he passionate about his job, he was passionate about making the reception exactly what you and your spouse want. This is a rare quality in a world of people trying to make a quick buck.

There's also a level of relaxation that just can't be matched anywhere else. Our DJ Phil made sure to call me if he had any questions, do research on his own if he was unclear, and made sure he had a backup for everything. There was simply nothing that could go wrong!

Every wedding reception is going to have a few people who drink a little bit too much; this means that the DJ is going to hear the same song request over and over again. Of course, this happened to Phil... who again handled himself very professionally. He kindly explained to our guests that the bride and groom had selected a certain list of songs, and in the interest of keeping the night the way they had planned, he was going to fulfill his promise to do so.

Normally I'm not one to sit down and write a review for someone, and seldom do we see people go out of there way to say something especially nice about a company or even an individual who works for said company. Because of the level of integrity and respect that we were given before, on, and after our wedding day, Manna Music deserves nothing less than a perfect rating.

Manna Music is right on par with pricing, but the difference is the quality of service. I interviewed with 15 DJ's (which is pure insanity, I know) and Manna Music was able to fall right in the same price range as all the others. When I told them that they were the company I was going with, we were actually able to make a few price changing decisions, as I'm sure they'll cooperate to do the same for you. Again, something that is worth every penny!

Being in a technology field myself, I was able to keep up with some of the specs that Manna Music uses for their equipment. It's top of the line, and it is state of the art. If you don't believe me, I'm sure they'd be happy to provide you with a list of the equipment they use and you can go out and do your own research; however I suggest you save yourself some time and just wedding plan. Take my word for it, it's top of the line stuff.

I would only suggest Manna Music to the following future wedding goers:

Those who want a perfect wedding day
Those who want to have the best reception (aside from ours of course)
Those who want a great memory of a great day

Phil was fantastic to work with. From the beginning of planning, he shared his experience with us. He returned phone calls promptly when we contacted him. All speeches/toasts where given in a timely fashion, but not rushed. The day of the wedding he read the crowd perfectly and played songs that matched our guests. The dance floor was packed! Even when someone took a spill (along with their glass and drink) on the dance floor, Phil knew exactly what to do in order to keep the reception moving. He was responsive to all requests. Many guests requested cards from him. We also received many, many complements on our DJ selection. We would highly recommended Phil for your wedding.

We were very happy with our choice of DJ in Manna Music. Phil was EXCELLENT. He always kept the dance floor packed and was very attentive to all requests that we made of him. The online interface on his website that allows you to browse songs and select them for certain parts of the wedding, as well as the do-not-play and request lists, were a great feature. DJ Phil Manna from Manna Music did our wedding on May 14th, 2010. He did an absolutely fantastic job. The dance floor was hopping all night. There was never a dull moment. Phil was the best part of our reception. He had the party going from start to end! I got over 50 compliments about how great he was! The dj was the most important part of our reception, so we did alot of searching. My husband and myself are so happy with the service Phil provided. By far the best dj I have ever heard anywhere! I can't even begin to explain how awesome our wedding was because of Phil from Manna Music. It started with the first consultation where he was prepared with contracts, movies from previous weddings, and song lists from his music library. Whenever I had a question he was more than happy to answer it, and really took the time to make sure that everything was perfect for our wedding. You can tell that he really cares, and enjoys, what he is doing because it shows through his work. He played great songs that the crowd wanted to hear while still sticking to my requests. I'm proud to say that 95% of my guests were dancing the whole time, and I attribute that to the great music. If you want a DJ that that knows what he's doing and has the best equipment and sound you need to call Phil. He was always very helpful, honest, prepared, full of ideas and well organized. He kept our guests dancing and everyone at our wedding was blown away by how amazing the sound was! He played the room and the dance floor was packed all night. You must use Phil....He is absolutely amazing!!! We were shopping for DJ's and were very close to selecting someone else until I talked to Phil on the phone. Once we talked to him, we knew he was the right one for us. Every single time we spoke, he was full of energy and we could tell he loves what he does. We met with him once we selected him, again about a month before the wedding and spoke with him plenty in between. I am not always big on emailing and anytime I would call him, he would either answer or call me right back. He recently updated his system of getting all of the information he needs and it is very user friendly. We liked that he did not just make us choose a list of songs to play, he let us choose some of our favorites and took it from there. We had a couple of last minute changes which did not phase him and he was unbelievable. With our wedding only having about 55 people, we were worried that our dance floor would be empty but thanks to Phil, we finally had to shut things down because nobody wanted to leave. Phil, you were absolutely amazing and we would highly reccomend you to anyone.

Phil was awesome. Of all the things a couple might worry about on their wedding day (and the days leading up to it), with Phil, the music was no concern to us because we knew he had it. He is very detailed and always comes with a plan B, C, and D. If something went wrong, we wouldnt even know about it. He is incredibly professional, has a great inventory of very up to date equipment, and its easy to trust him - and he doesnt break that trust either.

I had more people comment on how great the music was, and how perfect Phil's timing was at the reception. He was so great most of the people at the wedding did not leave until the very last song!

If you are having a wedding at the Grand Ballroom at the train station, Phil is the only way to go. He made that room sound great, which is not easy!

Manna Music was wonderful!! We met with Phil a year before the wedding and he spent as much time as we wanted with us explaining everything and answering all of our questions. It was so easy to get all the details worked out with him across the miles. At the wedding he had a professional yet fun loving attitude for the whole event, start to finish. All the pronunciations of the crazy Polish last names were pronounced correctly - a big deal for me. Follow his suggestions- he was right about all his predictions. Phil allowed me to personalize my wedding with the music he was able to provide. Easily I would have paid more for his skill and presentation.

Hands Down, DJ Phil and Manna Music are the best. We had Phil, who kept everyone of our guests very pleased with his selection of songs. The dance floor was always packed. When we first booked him, he gave us lists of the most popular songs for all the different events, like father daughter and mother son dances, garter and bouquet tosses, cake cutting etc, along with top 100 or so songs of each decade. He makes life and wedding planning very easy on the bride. He also makes sure he knows how to pronounce everyone's name for the entrances, He makes sure he plays every songs on your must play, and does not play your do not play list. Phil is a pleasure to work with and I know that any future party I may need a DJ for, it will definitely be him.

This DJ was great!!! The dance floor was never empty. I didn't even have to worry about him. He was exactly where he needed to be when he needed to be there. We also asked him to add songs the day before the wedding and he was able to accommodate us.

Phil was great to work with. You could tell he had a lot of experience and we trusted him to do what he thought best for our guests to have a great time and he didn't let us down! The kept people dancing all night. Plus he kept us on time by doing all the announcements and giving us the heads up when it was time to do introductions, the cake cutting, first dances and everything else! He also gave great advice of when do certain things and how they would help with the flow for the night. We had several guests tell us how much they loved the music and wanted copies of the music that was played. He made sure to have all the music that we wanted to have played and went over everything beforehand, including how to say everyones names, which we thought was great! Overall, couldn't have been better!

Phil from Manna Music was WONDERFUL to work with. He let my husband and I pick our entire playlist and was also able to edit a track to a song that we wanted tailored for our announcement at the reception as husband and wife. Additionally, at the reception, he was a great "MC" for the scheduled dances, speeches etc. He kept everything moving along and on-schedule, without being pushy. I remember a couple of times that he came up to us to ask whether we wanted to go in one direction or another with the music, including with some cultural music we had chosen for my husband's family, and all of his suggestions were right on target with the mood of the crowd. I actually hired him after he was the DJ at my friend's reception a couple of years before, which was one of the best receptions I've been to...I got many compliments on my reception and how it was one of the most fun receptions many of my friends had been to. I also referred Phil to a friend of mine for her wedding this past weekend, whose reception was also a total blast. Manna Music is a wonderful way to have awesome music with some insight from a seasoned DJ. I definitely feel like Phil was working "behind the scenes" at my wedding to make sure things went smoothly and were exactly what we wanted. I would recommend him over and over to anyone looking for great music and a great reception!!!

Phil of Manna Music performed at our wedding and did an amazing job. He had everyone of all ages on the dance floor until the last possible minute the hall would allow! Our guests have raved about him and even though it has only been 3 weeks since our reception, we have already had guests asking for his contact information. Phil was the dj for my daughter, Taylor's wedding in Dec. 2007. We met with Phil ahead of time and he gave us great tips on what types of music to play at every point in the evening. Everything was wonderful!The dance floor was full until the very end. We had a Christmas theme and the music was perfect. We are hoping to use him again when our younger daughter gets married, in the not too distant future.

Phil at Manna Musinc was great. I only had 6 weeks to plan my wedding and luckily Phil had had a cancellation for my date so he gave us a good deal on the price. He was very professional, my husband and I met at his house and saw a few videos of wedding he had done previously, I turned to him after one of them and said THAT is how I see my wedding, it was like a perfect match. Phil even gave is a TON of info about song choices, ideas which were SO helpful!! Everything from Father daughter dance music to cake cutting music. He also microphoned our officiant and played the ceremony music. When my husbands family wanted to changed the mother son dance music, Phil was on the ball - he didn't have the song (it was Spanish) but somehow he downloaded it - or had a friends send it to him, I don't know how he did it, but is worked out GREAT! And they had the song they wanted. Phil even stayed late...... at no extra charge, he really went ti distance and gave us the perfect wedding. All our guests loved the music, before dinner was great, during dinner was perfect and so was the dancing music. Phil kept us on track, leading us through the night - cake cutting, garter toss etc... Thanks Phil, I would recommend you to anyone!

DJ Phil was great! He was very pro-active about figuring out exactly what we wanted and paid attention to the details (getting bridal party names right, making sure he had the right version of songs, etc.). Our guests were out on the dance floor the whole night and everybody had a blast.

Phil did a great job, he had a great repore with my husband and myself. It was a little disappointing to hear that some of our guests went to request songs and they were turned away. He played great music and kept things going, but I could have had liked him to be a little more open to our ideas. Overall, for our venue, he made things flow and I couldn't have had a better sound system for the night.
