Maples Wedding Cakes

My cake may very well have been my favorite part of my wedding. I had heard by word of mouth about Maples and decided to make an appointment after having some very disappointing previous cake tastings. I wanted a cake that looked amazing, but tasted just as good as it looked. I love the look of fondant, but I'm not a fan of how it tastes. That was, until MY wedding cake! I don't know how Jay does it, but his fondant just melts in your mouth. I had trouble cutting the cake because it was so beautiful, but eating it was well worth it! I recently ran into Jay at a bridal show I was attending with a friend who is getting married and it looks like his business has grown quite a bit since I used him...his booth was mobbed!

We were referred to Jay by a friend of ours who used him to make a cake for her husband's 40th birthday party. I really didn't want a cake for our wedding - I wanted to have a variety of cupcakes instead. However, when we saw Jay's cakes I changed my mind. We ended up choosing a sour cream almond pound cake that people are still talking about. His cakes not only taste great but they look great too.

I have very picky tastes when it comes to cakes. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a cake in Nashville that met my high standards. However, Maples Cakes impressed me so much. Jay is absolutely wonderful about communicating before the wedding and took into consideration everything that I wanted. So many wedding cakes look great but don't taste so good - my cake was breath-taking and it tasted absolutely delicious!

Jay's cakes are absolutely exquisite. I first met Jay at a bridal show and was amazed by his cake display. The thing with Jay's cakes is that they not only look perfect, but they are moist and actually taste fantastic. I've had to eat a lot of wedding cake in my time and most of them look good, but taste dry and bland. My favorite of Jay's is his sour cream almond pound cake. The orange creamsicle is a close second!

I met Jay at the bridal show that I attended to get to know vendors. His display absolutely blew me away - that was JUST how they LOOKED. When I actually tasted his cake, I was floored that they tasted even better than they looked. He provided a cake for our photo shoot as well and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He has a fantastic storefront in Murfreesboro - he is definitely the elite in Nashville for cakes!

My cake is absolutley going to beautiful just like all the sample cakes. These are the best cakes out there. The man in charge of making the cakes is very sweet and great to deal with. The only sad part...you MUST book in months in advance. After the bridal show this weekend I promise you these cakes will go fast! They have 98 from the health department as well.

Jay doesn't make wedding cakes, he creates edible works of art. Beautiful cakes, that taste great!
