I would never buy a wedding cake from this place. I ordered a birthday cake from him and the top tier was falling apart before it made it to the party, which he blamed me for because I opted out on delivery, and I guess if you don't get delivery, you don't get to have your cake boxed up nice for you, and also the second tier was completely the wrong flacor. I guess its no big deal if you don't mind presenting an unappealing cake to your guests or eating the wrong flavor than what you ordered. It's only your money and what you paid for, but this Bakery apprently doesn't care. Not to mention I never recieved an apology...

Marcos Bakery made and delivered my cake for my wedding. I went in and spoke with them and explained all the details. They took the time to understand my needs and what I wanted my cake to look like. I paid for the delivery which was a lot easier than having someone pick up the cake. The cake was delivered on time and I did not have any problems. The cake looked great and tasted great also. Will definetely use them for future events.

Disappointed with the cake. On my first meeting with Marco's Patisserie, I had a picture and we went over all the details on how I wanted the cake. I left there feeling they understood what I wanted. I called back a month later to confirm the details and sign the agreement form. Again, things seemed fine. Two weeks before my wedding, I call Marco's and they sound confused about the design. So I tell them that I provided a picture and begin to reiterate our first conversation and what was written on the agreement form. They then tell me that the picture I provided is not good enough. At this point I am not going to stress about the cake so I just tell them that I trust their design as they are the professionals. I was completely wrong about this. The cake looked like a kids cake and not like a wedding cake. The fondant looked like they cut it out with cookie cutters and were just placed on the cake They had told me over the phone it was going to be 4 or 5 tiers but instead they made it a 3 tier and it was disproportionate because the bottom tier was huge. Some of the frosting was messed up on the side of it and it looked nothing like the picture I had provided. The cake was delicious and that is the only reason I did not give them a single star. I will not recommend this vendor to family or friends and I feel like a got cheated because the pictures they showed me are of beautiful cakes.

We ordered cupcakes for our wedding and they were absolutely the most moist, delicious and beautiful cupcakes we've ever seen or eaten anywhere! We ordered lemon with buttercream icing and red velvet with cream cheese icing! After checking out just about every bakery and cupcake vendor in town, they were also the most reasonably priced of all! Would highly recommend them.

I knew that I wanted Marco's Bakery as soon as I read on their website that the head baker had had training at Le Cordon Bleu. It is a prestigous program and they produce some of the highest quality bakers and chefs in the world. I have tasted food and desserts produced by chefs and bakers trained at Le Cordon Bleu and the taste and quality of their cooking and baking has never failed to impress me.

Marco's Bakery did not disappoint me and in many ways exceeded my expectations.

I have to say, cake tasting with Jim at Marco's Bakery was one of the more enjoyable parts of the wedding planning process. ;) Not only is Jim personable, but he is professional and truly stands behind the quality of their work. It doesn't hurt that their cakes are absolutely delicious, either!

When my husband and I (then fiance) had gone into visit with Jim at Marco's Bakery and discuss cake ideas, we had pictures and a vague vision of what we wanted our cake to look like. We knew three things for sure: 1) We wanted a square cake 2) We wanted a French tri-dot design and 3) ABSOLUTELY NO FONDANT! Jim was exceedingly patient with me, even though I tended to be a bit flakey about getting him information and the ribbon for the cake and whatnot - he always called and made sure I was up to date on what was going on, and was very good about communicating the needs of the bakery so that they could ensure that we had exactly what we wanted for our special day.

All we wanted was an elegant and beautiful cake. Jim and Marco's Bakery delivered all of this and then some.

I cannot begin to express how stunning our cake was! As noted, we provided the ribbon for them and some flowers, but past our initial ideas and "must-haves" for the cake, we pretty much let Jim and his team do their thing. It came out extrodinary - elegant and extremely well-crafted. We had so many compliments on the cake, because it just looked beautiful. And, yes, it tasted just as good as it looked. :) EVERYBODY wanted to know where the cake was from, who made it, where Marco's Bakery was in town, etc. It tasted delicious, and for anyone deciding on wedding cake flavors, I highly recommend the brown sugar spice.

All in all, it was great working with Jim and the team at Marco's Bakery. They do high quality work, and presentation is just as important as flavor to them. If you are looking for craftsmanship in your wedding cake and for something that not only tastes as good as it looks, then Marco's Bakery is definitely the place to go to.

I am not a cake person. In fact, I've always considered alternatives to cake when imagining my wedding. But when the time came to plan, I thought it best to make my guests happy. So after researching online, I booked a cake tasting with the highest reviewed bakery in Tucson (Marco's).
The cake tasting turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences of planning my wedding! Jimmie was incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable, and was genuinely intent on giving us exactly what we wanted. There's a kind of small, family owned atmosphere there and you could tell he cares about his business. Most of all the cake was so delicious! Jimmie set out many flavors for us to try and we finally settled on one tier of chocolate cake with chocolate mouse filling, and another tier yellow butter cake with lemon curd filling. Their cake was moist and flavorful... and it tasted exactly the same on our wedding day! We had so many compliments from our guests.
The design was great too. I brought in many inspiration photos and Jimmie helped my mother, fiance, and I narrow down our options. Our wedding had a kind of Eco-Chic theme so we decided on a very modern, 3-tier, square cake that our florist later decorated with succulents. Jimmie's design was clean, proportionate, and exactly like our pictures... no surprises.
It's also worth mentioning that if your fiance is not a fan of weddings I guarantee he'll enjoy a Marco's tasting. The cake is so good and Jimmie created a productive and light hearted atmosphere. In fact, after the tasting my (anti-wedding-planning) fiance became substantially more enthusiastic about the wedding as a whole. It was such an enjoyable experience and I will absolutely purchase from them again. Even their bread is hands down the best I've ever tried. I know because Jimmie handed us a loaf for free on our way out of the parking lot one day and we finished it that night. They clearly know what they are doing.
Last but not least the price was extremely fair and probably the best you'll find in town. In the end, I was charged $50 less than I expected.
You'll definitely get great quality at a fantastic price with friendly people. Thank you Marco's for making such a perfect day even better!

I lived in Washington State and had my wedding in Tucson. Marco's was recommended to me by Sav on Flowers ( by the way great flowers!) We were not disappointed at all. The price was very reasonable. I had to have red velvet and they did a GREAT Job!!! I would highly recommend Marcos!

My husband and I got married September 2011 at Saguaro Buttes in Tucson, AZ. Marco's Bakery made our wedding cake and EVERYONE was a fan! It was a 4 layer round feeding 125 I believe, and we chose different flavors for each layer, the number of choices and combinations of cake and filling made it really difficult to choose because everything was so delicious. I also ordered an 8" round grooms cake to surprise my husband that had the Navy seal hand piped on it and the detail was so amazing. The bakery delivered it on time to the venue and everything looked so great, all the guests were impressed. We tested a few other bakers and chose Marco's because the quality of the cake, the prices, and the hometown feel. The staff was very professional but also laid back and made me feel comfortable and not pressured at all. I would definitely recommend Marco's to a fellow bride. The whole experience was wonderful.

My daugther and I had less then 6 weeks to plan the wedding. After finding the Wedding and Reception Site, we then had to look for Bakery to make the cake. Since we live in Tennessee and the Wedding was in Arizona we had no time to really go by the Bakery and talk to anyone there. I contacted Marco's Bakery told him of my short time frame and was told by Jim no problem we can get that done for you. Jim and I had a couple of more phone conversations, my daughter e-mailed him the picturer of the cake. I got into town a couple of weeks befor the wedding, visited his bakery and even had a cake tasting. The Cakes a Marc's Bakery are heavenly. Jim and I sat down wrote up everything that my daughter wanted on the cake, the flower placement and the letters to be placed on the cake. The beautiful day for my daughter and son-in- was finally here. Jim brought the cake by and it was everything my daughter had imagined. The cake was so delicious. Thank you Jim for making my daughters wedding day so perfect. We would recomment Marco's Bakery to anyone who has a very special day planned.

Very friendly people, great tasting cake and delivery/set up was flawless. They did forget to take the stand off the cake topper, but I don't think too many people noticed. I would still need use them again.

We couldn't be happier with their professional approach and flexibility in allowing customers design their exact dream cake, while also offering some of their own expertise and creativity. I knew I wanted an elegant ivory cake with black ribbon. I sent them pictures of cakes I loved online and I got exactly what I asked for. I called several bakeries around Tucson and he was the ONLY ONE to answer my phone call and not have to wait several days to weeks to get in and do a cake tasting. I called on Wednesday and had ordered the cake by Friday, while the wedding was only few weeks away.
The price was right and my husband and I got to pick 2 different distinct flavors we both loved and couldn't decide between with NO EXTRA CHARGE. We didn't have to pay extra for red velvet like you do at other bakeries, and we also had a layer of white chocolate ganoche with fresh strawberries, very impressive. It was so tasty, that there were no leftovers to be had.
The owner was in constant communication with me through the entire process. He called me regularly and was very polite and enjoyable to work with. My husband graduated from Arizona State University and we had them make us a graduation cake in the shape of a Grad Cap. It turned out great!
Marco's Patisserie strives to give you what you ask for and pays attention to detail. I will definitely order from them again and tell my friends to use them for their special occasions.

Jimmy at Marco's Patisserie was amazing. From the first consultation where he explained each cake and let us taste many different options, to the final decision and delivery the service was impeccable. We received numerous compliments on the look and taste of the cake and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend him and he also has great holiday pies!

My wedding cake turned out beautifully!!! It didn't taste like just any other cake. It was absolutely delicious!!! They are reasonably priced and great to work with. I am very happy and satisfied!!!

Marcos was a wonderful bakery to work with. Throughout all the trials of wedding planning my biggest concern was being able to contact my vendors when need be, rather it be with questions, concerns, updates or simply make payments. At times this was very frustrating due to the representatives of these companies being out of town, working on another job, and I can understand that we all have lives, but it is a professional courtesy to return your clients phone calls in a timely fashion. Working with Jim at Marcos was wonderful he always answered his phone, even when he was on the other side of the country! He was wonderful to work with. I am so very happy I recruited Marcos to create our wedding cake. When I hear someone starting to plan a wedding Marcos is the first card I give them. My husband and I could not be happier with our final product. The cake was amazing. It was gorgeous to look at and we had guests going back for seconds and taking pieces home because it was so delicious. I cannot begin tell you how many of our friends and family at the wedding commented on how gorgeous the cake was. Our photographer took tons or pictures of our cake while he was waiting for the bridal party to set up for pictures. My grandmother thought the cake was plastic! hahaha. We even threw curve balls at poor Jim, as in a heavy cake topper and cutting the stems off our roses. He never blinked an eye and took care of everything to make sure our cake would be amazing. After several other places in town were extremely uncool to us either on the phone or in person, we went to Marco's after a friend told us they make great cakes and are a local company. So we had our wedding cake made here and can highly recommend that you consult Jim. We paid slightly more than $300.00 for a lovely 3-tier cake that was delivered to the dinner in perfect condition and provided slices for 65 people with some left over. We also had many comments on how delicious the cake was. I can highly recommend that you visit and talk with Jim, he'll have a sample of cakes for you to try with coffee as well! We will certainly be back for more cakes!

My daughters wedding was January...outdoors in Tucson. As a cake decorator myself I wanted the very best for her (but is wasn't gonna be by me!)
Jim listened very carefully to my daughters wishes...we didn't have a picture but roughly went by pictures he already had and the cake was absolutely beautiful.

But the taste was even better. All 3 layers were different. We went in not planning on getting regular old chocolate...but the chocolate sample we have was so moist and decadent, we couldn't refuse. the Lemon Poppyseed with lemon curd filling....wow...wow wow!

Thanks so much Jim...the cake was definitely one of the highlights and EVERYONE had nothing but rave reviews...and many 2nds and 3rds!

The only reason I have Quality as 4 stars out of 5 is that on delivery the cake got bumped and cracked in one section...nothing major...we just turned it around to the back.

The cake was incredible. Him Heath the owner was always willing to meet with us in a moments notice. He delivered the cake exactly one time. We provided flowers and ribbon and he followed instructions. The cake was beautiful and deliciouos. We would refer him to anyone.

No problems no worries nothing wrong I loved the service the cake was gone in seconds and everything was perfect!

I honestly gave this vendor a very hard time even though i wasn't willing to pay full price. He was very professional, took time to show me options and gave me enough information to make a final decision. The cake was great, presentation was beautiful and in the end, i was very happy with what i got. I think this vendor is very genuine and will definitely recommend him for everyone.

Not a Bakery to trust for a WEDDING CAKE!‎ - ‎
So, I order my wedding cake which was a cupcake wedding cake through this bakery bout 6months ago. When my fiance and I went to the consultation we met with Jim who I guess is the owner. They write everything you order on this pink order form, like any other company would. Except because we were still sampling as he was writing he kept scribbling things out and writing new info. So, he started a fresh order form over and rewrote our info. So, bout two weeks before the wedding I go to pay the remaining balance and drop off the ribbon cake stuff and tell the only person who seemed to be there that I would be picking up the cake one day before the due date. She said no problem that would be fine. So, I go to pick up the cake the day before the wedding and Jim brings out a cake....hmmmm okay who's cake is that I wondered. Jim said that was our top tier cake. Well, the problem is I ordered a LIME GREEN cake to match the LIME GREEN cupcakes. The cake was WHITE and the cupcakes had not even been made yet and they were closing for the day. So, I explained how I came in and the cake was suppose to be done a day early and we had discuss green...he denied it all...and said because his employee didn't write it in the book bout me picking it up early.....like pretty much oh well. So, he said he would change the color. My fiance called him and Jim told him as well that the color would be changed. So, it sucked that we had to pick the cake up the day of the wedding, but what could we do. So, the next day my fiance goes to get the cake. They put all 100 cupcakes in one large freakin box, as Jim's carrying it out he trips over the curb and almost drops all the cupcakes and laughs, "oh that wouldn't of been good," hehe. As my finace is driving halfway through town, opens the cake box and the freakin top cake was still white and not lime green like Jim promised he would change. So, he lied to me and my fiance. So, were at our wedding cutting our cake. As we cut we looked at each other in an OMG look, it wasn't even the right cake on the inside. They gave us a plain chocolate cake when we paid extra to have a plain lemon mirange filling with fresh cut strawberries. OMG like seriously how hard is it to make a dang wedding cake or cake for that matter! So, after the wedding on our to do list my new hubby and I were sooo freakin disgusted with the cake we took it back to him non eaten saying here you go we just want you to know how unhappy we are. Well, to the point he didn't care and then finally said he would refund half of the top tier which he said was $40. So guess what no refund, we call the store and he refused to get on the phone to deal with us. I mean come on that's diffantly not how to handle a good business at all. You know when you say wedding people see $ signs, but it seems like if they make a mistake they don't seem to fix it and then have no problem keeping your

Marcos Patisserie did a wonderful job with our goodies for our October 17th wedding. Our initial visit was wonderful and informational as well as delicious.
Jim listened to exactly what we wanted in our wedding cake. I kept calling to make additinal changes such as adding a surprise grooms cake with a baseball coming out the middle to the order and I called back again to have them make cactus shaped cookies for wedding favors to be picked up 3 days before the wedding. Jim did a wonderful job on our orders!
Everything was done perfectly! The cactus shaped cookies were adorable and everyone complimented us on the shape and green frosting (not to mention the taste), they were ready to be picked up when I stopped at the bakery. I hadn't even seen the grooms cake until we went to cut the wedding cake but it was perfect for my husband who is a baseball fanatic! Now to talk about our wedding cake which turned out better then I could imagine. I saw the cake right before I walked down the aisle and it was exactly like looking at wedding pictures online. It was three tiers wrapped in a blue ribbon with a branch going up the side and little maple leaves attached. The detials on the leaves was incredible! The three tiers were all different flavors and fillings and our guests were impressed with how good the cake tasted. We still get told they wish they could have tried all the flavors! We shouldve ordered a bigger cake!Everything turned out beautifully!

Absolutely beautiful job! Talk about customization! I was one of those brides that just couldn't decide on one design, so I brought in 3 different photos of cakes with elements that I liked and they merged them together! What could have been an absolutely disaster turned out to be a beautiful hybrid of the designs we presented them.

What really impressed me most about this company was not only their attention to detail and whim for creativity but also their responsiveness and attentiveness to our order. We weren't ordering the largest cake, only enough to serve about 100 people, but with the service we received you would have never guessed that! Throughout the planning process we received a few calls from the owner to remind us about meeting times, clarifying final details (even a few we had forgotten), and they called us on the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly.

The cake here, especially the custom cake flavors are delicious!

I highly recommend you try Marcos bakery because they can do anything and are a wonderful local business to work with!

My cake was wonderful. A cake that was made for over 100 people was completly eaten by the 80 guests that attended, greatly due to the fact that the cake melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend using Marco's for your wedding so that you have one less worry since he will take care of you from beginning to end!

Orignially we loved the cake, loved the people, and loved the free reign we had over the design. However, when my 3 tierd custom cake arrived, it was a disaster. It was the wrong flavors inside all three layers, there was not the wording I had asked for on the cake, and there was a big giant T on the cake, and for the record our last name is Sanchez, nothing with a t. in fact, the only things that were correct were the ribbon and cake topper I provided. When my sister called on the day of my wedding he did nothing about the problem, in fact blamed me for the mistake (any bride knows you are super annoying about exactly how you want it done) and said oh well pretty much. My mom and I scraped the t off with a butter knife and smushed a rose in where it had been and called it good, but overall I was very disappointed and would not recommend this vendor.

I am a straight to the point person, I knew what I wanted when I walked into Marco's and they delivered! The cake was absolutely delicious and it has lasted and lasted! It was gorgeous and they were absolute professionals--they delivered the cake when they said they would and it was exactly what I ordered. I'd order from them again in a heartbeat. The only thing that I was a little miffed about is that I requested a monogram and it turned out looking like initials, that was a little disappointing.

We dealt with Rachel at Marco's Patisserie and she was a pleasure to work with! The wedding cake was beautiful! You can give her any idea and she makes it come to life! I would recommend Marco's Patisserie to anyone for any occasion.

This is a lengthy review, but Marco’s Patisserie deserves every word of it! Please read its entirety so you may understand the great lengths Marco’s went to give us the Wedding Cake of our dreams!

Our names are Devin and Desirae Quintana. The staff at Marco's Patisserie were more than we could have every wished for. They were extremely professional, flexible, and provided a quality of service that could only be measured by Gods. They were always responsive when we have questions and through out the whole process they always treated us like family.

My wife and I had an extremely hard time figuring out what we wanted. The design and layout of the cake was hard enough, but we had our hands full when we had to choose the flavors. We were torn between two very distinct and different gourmet flavors and it was impossible to choose between the two.

My wife wanted a chocolate marble cake with chocolate mousse topped off with a touch of Bailey’s Irish Cream Liquor in the cake and filling. For my choice, I wanted to have a red velvet cake filled with a raspberry cream cheese filling with a dash of Grand Marnier Liquor in the cake and filling. My wife and I were about to arm wrestle to see which flavor would win when the fine staff at Marco’s told us they could do both at no extra charge! This was unbelievable since other bakeries would definitely charge a premium for this service.

Speaking of service, the cake set up alone was enough to make most bakeries’ sick to their stomachs, but not Marco’s. My wife and I searched for weeks online and in local stores to find accessories to go with our cake but failed miserably. Thankfully, the staff tackled the astonishing task of finding figurines to match our wedding party and accessories to complete our cake array. I wondered to myself how they were able to pull this off since we tried so hard with no luck. I found out after the wedding that Marco’s drove two hours to Phoenix to search for them. If that wasn’t enough, they didn’t charge me for doing this! This was yet another “cherry on top.” Because Marco’s went out of their way to do this, they were able to create the cake of our dreams.

We wanted a huge set-up with our names on individual satellite cakes with stairs leading up to the cake top. On the stairs we wanted the wedding party with our cake topper at the very top. We also wanted a fountain to be in the center of the display overlooking the top of the cake. The whole set-up provided a breathtaking illusion of a staircase to heaven in which we shall climb to be married.

The cake could not be more perfect. Both of the cake flavors were heavenly. I can honestly say that out of all our decorations, our wedding cake single handedly stole the show. I want to thank the staff at Marco’s Patisserie for their magnificent work, and their undeniable service—second to none. After reading all this, I’m sure your probably asking yourself, “How much did all this cost them?” Unbelievably, Marco’s provided all of the cake and service for 200 guests for under $500. Truthfully, we had enough cake for 250 guests easily.

We had a wonderful wedding cake, service and experience with Marco's. The flavors were terrific, everything was delivered on time, exactly as we requested. We returned for my husband's birthday cake and received service that was above and beyond-two cakes made on short notice on the New Years Eve holiday.

After my husband and I had been to several tastings, we decided to use Marco's Bakery. The product and service was top notch and our cake was ready as ordered. They even had our original order on file so this October when I ordered a six inch square duplicate, they were able to make this happen for us. In addition, I had to call on a Tuesday to see if they could move our order date up one day. They not only did so, but our cake was just as delicious as the first one. I will use Marcos again in the future and will always recommend this pastry shop to any of my friends.

Best cake I have ever had. I was very worried when looking for cake that I wouldnt find what I wanted for the right price. Mr. Heath made my experience hassle free, very personal, quick, and right in my price range. I don't believe I have ever had a better cake. It was so beatiful, no one wanted to eat it! Not to mention the pastries are fantastic! I'm hooked! I find myself stopping by when every I am on that side of town to either try something new, or grab some goodies to take to my wife. A big thanks to Marco's Patisserie! I would reccomend to anyone.

I ordered a cake from Marco's and was very impressed with the company. First of all, the cake was incredibly beautiful and much prettier that the picture I saw when I ordered it. I ordered Butter Cream and it was the most delicious cake. My guests loved it, and several asked where we got the cake. The price was the best part because I shopped around quite a bit before ordering the cake. Although, I didn't get to meet Marco, the staff was helpful and friendly. And they were able to get me a cake with very little lead time. I would highly recommend this new company to Tucson.

Many bakeries can deliver a beautiful cake OR a delicious cake - but Jimmie and his team at Marco's repeatedly deliver both! For folks who love to watch "Cake Boss" and shows like it = Jimmie's shop is the Tucson version... gorgeous creations that delight your guests at any event! Meet with the Marco's team and you'll be amazed at what they can do with your ideas! I recommend them over and over again and I have never been disappointed.

I have had Rachel from Marco's make both my girls birthday cakes this year and they were amazing. She listened to exactly what I wanted and exceeded our expectations. Lily's cake was a crayon box (ice cream cones were cut in half to make the crayon tips!) to go with her arts and crafts themed party and Vivian's cake was a girly jack-o-lantern for her Halloween birthday!
