Maria Lee Makeup and Hair

I wanted to formally thank you for your services, your expertise, your
patience and your hard work. My wedding was amazing thanks to you,
and everybody told me how beautiful and natural I looked. There were
so many comments about how my natural features were brought to life
through your work, and that I was “glowing” … I loved what you did in
the three – day – wedding events, specially the last day (the photo
shoot) … My bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful, some of my
friends even looked more beautiful than in their own wedding days
(said by them!! , which is a lot to say!!!)….. but above all, my Mom
and my Mother-in-law .. they were so gorgeous … Your Assistant Artists
(Misty and Korina) also made a wonderful job, and Lisa was super
helpful, professional and sweet. Wrapping up everything, I think it
was perfect …. Congratulations and the best of luck with future brides.

Maria did my makeup and hair for my wedding, as well as my mom's and two sister's.
I get my makeup done from time to time, and Maria is the best makeup artist I have ever had. She is meticulous and has great aesthetic sense. I will definitely use her again for special occasions. I have long hair which I wanted to wear down and curled for the wedding. Maria worked with me to get the look I wanted -- doing a trial with her really helped with this.

Maria is also just a really nice person. She spent the entire morning before my wedding with me, my mom, and my sisters, so it was nice to have a friendly, patient, and calm person to get us looking beautiful!

It took me 3 makeup trials before I found the talented Maria Lee. Save yourself the trouble I went through, and book her first!! She is sweet to work with, understands what you want, and knows her makeup inside and out.

I was initially drawn to Maria after I read about her background in fine art. Her degree in painting is so apparent in her makeup work because her sense of color is dead on. I have never seen any one match my skin color with a foundation more accurately--and she did it in a matter of seconds!

Honestly, I am so grateful that I found her. After spending nearly $250 on other makeup trials that were terrible, I started getting nervous. The second I saw my face after my trial with her all my anxiety melted away because I knew I had found what I was looking for.

The makeup she did for my engagement session as well as wedding day was flawless. I cannot even begin to tell you how many people asked for her name on the actual day of my wedding!

My experience with Maria was phenomenal. When planning for our wedding day, I wasn't really sure about how I wanted my make-up and hair to be done, but she coached me through it. She offered great suggestions and I really valued her opinion. I had Maria do my make-up and hair for both my engagement photo session and my actual wedding. Maria was patient, comforting, and cool headed even with the time crunch on the wedding day (everything a bride needs during one of the most hectic days of her life).

For my engagement photo shoot, she recommended to apply the make-up on a little heavier than normal since it would look better for the pictures and since I wouldn't be seeing anyone except the photographer and my fiance (now husband). The engagement album came out great! We've gotten so many compliments and several inquiries about who my make-up artist was. I'm extremely happy with how my make-up and hair came out in my engagement photo album.

On my wedding day, Maria and her assistant did the make-up and hair for my four bridesmaids and me. The day started at 5:00am in the morning and she was on time, fully prepared, and level-headed (unlike me). Everything she promised, she delivered. My bridesmaids and I couldn't have been happier with the result. While I was walking down the aisle with over 300 people staring at me, it was so comforting that I loved the way I looked. We just received our wedding photo album from our photographer, and Maria's magic shined on every picture of my bridesmaids and me.

Maria was respectful of my schedule and adhered to it on the dot. She was clear about how much time she needed to do the make-up and hair on my bridesmaids and me on my wedding day. This allowed me to plan appropriately to make sure the wedding day started off right. She clearly communicated her plan and was available to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend Maria to any bride. She is extremely easy to work with and will ensure that you look great on the most important day of your life!

Maria was great to work with. Excellent personality as well as a real talent. She did my wife's makeup on site and the pictures turned out great. The makeup lasted thru the wedding and the reception. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a makeup artist with a great personality and a real talent.‎

Maria came highly recommended by my wedding photographer. She was flexible with both the time and location; she came to our apartment the following day (after I telephoned her) for the trial. She did a thorough consultation; we decided on smoky eyes and natural lips. My actual wedding was the following day, she met me at the hotel lobby downtown on time and exceeded all my expectations when she had brought some confetti (a British tradition to have at the wedding) with her, it was the only thing I'd forgotten to buy and couldn't find anywhere in SF at the last minute! To me, this showed that she really cares, it is something I will never forget!

I thoroughly recommend Maria for weddings or other special events. I was very happy with the make-over and also her service, she is very experienced in the application, product knowledge, the amount of products she has available to use and giving advice; she also had a calming personality which was exactly what I needed the morning of our wedding.

I have since recommended her to my friend Inma, who was also very happy.
We have both decided that we will be treating ourselves to another "Maria makeover" next time we have a special function to attend.

Great Makeup artist. Did my mother-in-law, my wife and sister. Worth the trouble to fly her from California to Florida for our wedding. Worked well with the hair stylists and the photographers I had hired....

Maria is an exceptionally talented makeup artist! She did the makeup for
my wedding and made me feel and look like a super model! A real treat.

1) Maria is super nice and her energy and personality are very "zen".
Something I found precious during such a stressful/joyful event in my life.
2) She is extremely flexible accommodating logistics arrangements: your
home, her place, travelling to Napa in my case.
3) Maria works with all leading cosmetic/make up houses, so she picks and blends the best products of each of them.
4) She is a very good listener and knows how to recreate extremely well
the look you may have in mind.

Last tip: try her smokey eyes + fake eyelashes. You will not regret it.

Maria is the best! She did my make-up and my mom's for my wedding. We both received so many compliments. My mom was particularly impressed because she was afraid of looking "unnatural". Maria listened to both of our requests intently and produced excellent results. My make-up also lasted all evening. All of her suggestions were right on and she did an amazing job. On top of that she has a very nice, easy-going attitude which helps with nervous brides! I do not have a single complaint. For the record, my mom and I are both Caucasian.
