Reviews for Maria's Bridal

After being told about Maria’s Bridal we decided to make the visit to the bridal shop. We made the appointment and went in. The dresses were all organized and very neat. They shop’s consultants had many years of experience working in the bridal industry. She personally showed us all of the different dresses and it helped make the decision on the dress very easy. It was well worth the effort to make the appointment and the dresses they have all kinds at all different budgets to fit anyone’s needs.

Maria's Bridal is a wonderful place to purchase your dream dress. They have a variety of styles and prices. I found the perfect dress for me at a trunk show. The women that work there were so friendly and helpful. They really knew what they were doing and they helped me until I was completely satisfied. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Staff at Maria's were amazing. They made me feel like a movie star while trying on bridal gowns. They have an amazing selection of dresses to choose from and were very fast at getting my dress and veil ordered :) I would use them again in a heartbeat!!

Gorgeous dresses! A million times better service and dresses than the typical small shop. Ten million times better than David's Bridal.

Maria's Bridal was an excellent vendor. They had no time limit for trying on dresses, and they were so helpful in picking out what I wanted. The prices varied from the low end to the high end. There was a dress for every budget. Also, alterations were included in the price of the dress, which was grea.t When I ordered my dress, it came on time, with no problems. I was able to get all my bridesmaids dresses there as well. Great selection!

My dress wasn't what I thought I would like, but it was fantastic! They allowed me to wait until the very last possibly moment to start my fittings because I was dieting and everything was fabulous. They were great to work with while I was trying on dresses and the way they treated me was consistant throughout the entire process.

I would highly recommend Naditza (spelling?) from Maria's Bridal to help you with your dress selection. I went in without having any real vision for a dress. The only thing I knew was that I wanted it to be light in weight, flowing and romantic with a modern vintage feel to it. She pulled 10 dresses for me and told me she had a feeling for the one I would go with and she was right. I put it on....felt really excited, but wanted to be open to the other dresses. After 2 other dresses, I put "my dress" back on and didn't want to take it off. I felt beautiful, like a sexy woman showing off her best attributes. I don't know if I will ever have another dress in my lifetime that will make me feel and look that good. I have been to Maria's Bridal for all of my friends weddings as well for bridesmaid dresses........all were good experiences!!!!

Everyone at Maria's was a joy to work with. The girls were very helpful in helping me pick out a wedding gown, even after I came back several times to try it on before I committed! The alterations were perfect and the gown was stunning.

I didn't know what to expect with the shop because I had heard a lot of negative things about the treatment of their customers. I am so glad that didn't scare me away. My bridesmaids and I were very pleased with the service we received.

Maria's bridal is a wonderful place to get a bridal gown. I went on a day of a trunk show and they served Mimosas to all the customers. It was such an extra touch that made me feel really special to get my gown from there. They ladies at the shop are very helpful and the alterations are amazing. The sticker prices on many of the gowns were lower in cost than several other places I had seen the exact same dresses at. Also, I got 20% off for ordering my gown and veil through a trunk show. Highly recommend!

I purchased my gown from Maria's, although two other shops in the area also carried my dress. However, Maria's prices include alterations (not a bussel) so it was the best deal. The first time I tried dresses on there, it was very busy and hectic and they kept giving me a different woman to help me every 3rd dress. I finally got settled down with one certain woman, who helped me when I came back the second time. Sherry is very nice and gives you great opinions on dress choices. She even stayed after they closed to help me make my choice and purchase. They also have a great selection of dresses, I found 3 there I really liked!

The salon is gorgeous; but make sure you try on during a weekday to get one-on-one service. If you try on a weekend, you'll get mixed help instead of staying with one consultant for the whole process of shopping, buying, and fitting your gown! And-only work with Naditza. The only thing I didn't like was when I was put into a room with my gown. I was forgotten about so I assumed at this salon you put on your own gown. Due to a teeny tiny staff, if there is *any other* bride shopping at the same time, you're not really taken care of.

The dress I purchased at Maria's was AMAZING. So many compliments on it and it was very unique - however, the alternations and fitting were a nightmare. The bustle was crooked from the get go and the buttons weren't swen on properly and popped off about 10 minutes after the dress was bustled. I expressed my concerns about the bustle repeatedly and was reassured constantly but obviously my concerns were not addressed. Great place for dresses - look elsewhere for alterations....

My experience with Maria's started out just fine. They were helpful when I was shopping for a dress, although I did have to wait when coming for an appointment. I was told my dress would come in by early to mid- March and it didn't come in until the second week of April. That left 3 weeks for alterations. They say that alterations are included, but I was charged $100 for "extra" alterations without being told first. I had to wait each and every time I went in for alterations, they were always done in the midst of a very busy and noisy dressing room area. They charged me $200 for a bustle and I had to have 4 fittings for a dress that fit pretty well to start with. I also had my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding altered there and the alterations were horrible. They made me order a size that was 2 sizes to big then left the top too big and made the left side pucker out. Overall, I would recommend buying a dress from Maria's but having it altered elsewhere.

Not really impressed. The staff were rude and incredibly difficult to deal with. I would not recommend this vendor, as there so many better shops out there.

I would never recommend Maria's Bridal to any bride looking for her dress or her bridesmaid's dresses. The employees of Maria's were fine during the trying-on phase, however, they incorrectly ordered my wedding dress. They ordered it 2 sizes too small. They refused to get the proper size and instead insisted that they would rip apart the too small dress and remake it. I had to obtain the proper dress from the dress maker. They then ruined the proper-sized dress by taking it in too much and cutting the seams before I had a chance to try it on. When I asked them to fix the problems (5 days before my wedding) they told me to leave. As for my bridesmaids, 2 of the dresses were too small and 1 was 4 sizes too big.

The dress was beautiful and the alterations were great. The service, however, was horrible. The sales associate was very rude. I ordered my Jewelry 5 months before my wedding and was suppose to receive it at my first fitting. It turns out the sales woman forgot to order it. At the second fitting, I received jewelry but it wasn't what I ordered. The week before my wedding, they still did not have my jewelry. The sales woman did not apologize and offered no confidence that I would have it before my wedding day. Instead, she suggested I start shopping around. I did receive my jewelry two days before the wedding.

I had a great time shopping for my dress. Before I started shopping, I saw a picture of it (Maggie Sottero, Ivana) on the Knot, and knew I had to try it on. Maria's was one of the few shops in the area that had it. I worked with Linda, and she was a great help. This dress was the first one I tried on, and every dress I tried on after just helped to confirm this was the one. I had a great experience with shopping for and buying the dress, but alterations were an altogether different story. I had been thinking about having Hana Ayer do the alterations, since she gets great reviews and I live pretty close to her, but since the price of alterations were included with the dress, I decided to have Maria's do it. I should have gone with Hana. When I went for my final fitting, just 3 days before the wedding, when I had no time left to resolve the situation, I discovered that the top of the dress had been altered so that my bra was hanging out about 2 inches on the left side (somehow, the left side wound up being cut much lower than the right side). Also, the hem on the right side of the dress was dragging on the floor by about two inches, while the left side was a couple inches above the floor. For both issues, the seamstress yelled at me that I was wearing the dress wrong (how exactly does one wear a wedding dress wrong?). After she spent 10 minutes tugging on the dress to get me to wear it "right", the bra was still hanging out and the hem was still uneven. I told her to add another pickup to the right side, so that both sides would be equally off the floor - she didn't see why I would want to do that as she thought the uneven hem looked just fine, but she finally agreed. If you look at the picture I have under the officiant section, you can see how high the hem wound up being. Oh well, at least it made it easier to show off my cute red shoes :) There was nothing that could be done about the bra, so I just keep hiking up the dress and pulling down the bra all night long. Also, although the alterations are free, the bustle is not. I was told that it could cost anywhere from $40-200 dollars, but that mine most likely would be closer to $40. Not so much - it turned out to be $195, with no explanation of how they came up with that price. Of course, for that price, you'd expect a pretty kick-ass bustle - while the bustle did look great initially, it fell apart after a couple hours of dancing. Plus, if you get your veil elsewhere but have Maria's press it, it costs $40 - which I was told AFTER they pressed mine. So, with all of that, I'd recommend buying your dress at Maria's, but get it altered elsewhere.

Do not go there! They destroyed my sister’s dress and we had to find another one two days before the wedding because the staff altered the dress 5 inches shorter than they were supposed to. She looked like a street walker in her dress. I was so upset. Stay away from this place, please!!!!

My Dress/Alterations: 1 Star - Horrible! The shop was wonderful when they wanted my money. After I purchased my dress everything went downhill from there. It was so terrible with all the problems. They screwed up in getting my veil in to me before we left for Florida. They screwed up with my alterations; I had to go back 5 times just to get everything right. I had to have a screaming match with everyone there just to get my dress done right. I can't tell you how many times I tried to remain calm when I was even calling them, but would end up with a snooty or rude person who yelled at me! I should have gone elsewhere, but I had already ordered my dress.
Bridesmaids Dresses: 1 Star - The girls got their dresses in well-past the day they were quoted. Because of the timing of the dresses, they were rude in getting the alterations done (hello, wasn't our fault). They messed up on the alterations, and blamed us because we didn't give the ample time. Finally I gave up and told them that we would have to find someone in Florida to do so. Lucky for us, one of my wedding guest is a seamstress, and my mom asked her to bring her equipment to do the dresses properly for us. She worked diligently 4 days before my wedding to get all 5 dresses done!

The staff was really helpful when I was choosing my dress. They allowed me to try on dress after dress until I found the perfect one. The dress was over my budget but I made sacrifices to get the dress I really wanted. When they measured me, I asked them to order it a size bigger because I was starting dental school and worried that I would gain weight. My dress came in early March. It did not zip but the sales lady assured me that there was enough fabric to take it out. I went back 6 weeks before, I had lost some weight, the dress zipped but was still way to tight. The alterations lady told me that since I am still losing weight, they would start alterations 3 weeks before the wedding. I went back 3 weeks before the wedding and the lady said "there is not enough fabric to take this dress out, you just have to lose weight". Obviously my mom and I were not very happy. The alterations lady could not really understand why we were so upset. I was in tears and after 20 min of arguing, the lady said she would open my dress and see how much fabric there was. I had to back 5 times more times (each time, I waited at least 20 min for them to even bring out my dress). Each time they argued with me and told me that the dress was not too tight even though I told them I couldn't breathe. One of the alteration ladies actually told me "your wedding dress is not suppose to be comfortable". When I told them how unhappy I was with their service, the alterations lady told me "next time, go somewhere else". Thanks for wishing my marriage would fail! The alterations experience at Maria's bridal was absolutely horrible. My advice, if you find a dress you love and get it from somewhere else. A wedding dress simply to important to leave to such incompetent people.

I am still trying to figure out why they have the store set up as "appointments only". I am confident they don't have a clue who is coming in when and they definitely don't staff for alterations around appointments. I live 45 minutes away from the store and had to make it in for 4 separate alterations appointments (3 of which I showed up thinking it was the final alteration and there were still pins in my dress). All of which took at least an hour to have someone spend 4 minutes on alterations. They would have sent me home with the dress as is, if I didn't point out the areas of concern. In addition, I ordered a sash and was assured it would arrive with plenty of time for the wedding. When the wedding was a week away and the sash was not it, they were far from comforting. Since they are no longer open on Mondays and only stay late certain nights of the week, I had to leave early from work to get there in time for my final alterations. After making an appointment in person and calling twice to confirm that it was clear I was leaving with my dress, they still had the nerve to ask if I could come back the next day so they could finish the needed 20 min alterations (this is because they sewed on my sash with a 2 inch gap in the back and horizontaly uneven). Let's just say I can't explain in the space allowed how terrible the service was. As a cake topper, they had the nerve to hug me as I left with my dress .*Dont let them bustle your dress. They wont take your thoughts into consideration and will charge you $190.

I have had the exact experience as everyone else. I had 8 bridesmaids, all of whom told me they had to wait for 30-45 minutes after their appointment start time before they were even brought their dresses. alterations were absolutely awful, the service is awful, i would advise any bride to not waste your time. you can find any dress that is sold here elsewhere. do yourself a favor and stay away!

Where do I start.... 1. I had an appointment and 10am and at 10:10 an associate floats by and says "It'll be a minute". 2. When I walk in she gives me any annoyed look for being the first client waiting outside the door for opening, asking, "What can I help you with, why are you here" as she stands next to an APPOINTMENT ONLY sign... ((I would be guessing I had an APPOINTMENT!) 3. After the sales lady asks which types of dresses I am interested in, she rudely keeps interrupting me telling me how I am using the wrong terms of mermaid vs. trumpet skirt...((I am sorry, this is the first time I am getting married and not overall familiar with the terms)) 4. After hearing I wanted to stay in the lower box of prices they had available she huffs and puffs and opens a door to an overwhelming room stuffed of dresses and never checks back. 5. After I decided to not even attempt to try on bridal gowns, my bridesmaids and I glance through their bridesmaids dresses for ideas. Again, the saleslady NEVER checks on us as my two girls and I are holding arm fulls of dresses looking for the fitting room. 6. When we are done and picked out the top choices that we will look for at OTHER HELPFUL boutiques, we leave and say goodbye and don't hear her respond (She is at the counter talking to a friend) until the last one of us is out of the door. I was incredibly surprised by the lack of customer service. I highly suggest all future brides to STAY AWAY from this hell hole. I have worked in retail for years and cannot entirely describe the disgust I had with this boutique. I would rather travel four hours and pay triple the price of a gown before I step foot in such a horrific place again.
