Shelly is a real treasure. She made our day special and relaxing. All our communication with her was answered promptly and in a way that always made us smile. I don't wear make up but what she did was so natural. I will always consider her a friend and be thankful she was part of my day. After she arrived I just relaxed and had fun. Mahalo Shelly.

Shelly was great! She was flexible with my ever-changing schedule and arrived on time and ready to do my hair. She had a calming effect on me when I flipped out about what time it was, and was insightful on wedding hair. She wisely talked me out of leaving my hair down, and despite my desire to wear it down, I took her advice and wore it up. She was right - it would have been too hot and windy for my hair to be down during the wedding; I'm glad she knew the right thing to do! My hair STAYED in place the entire day - from wedding to reception to drinks out on the town afterward. Thank you Shelly!

I can't say enough about Shelly at Mariah's Mane! She promptly answered every question and concern I had leading up to the wedding. She was right on time, and did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. Her makeup case alone weighed 65 pounds (no kidding!), so she had everything imaginable available to make this almost-60-year old bride look pretty darn good on her special day. Shelly's background is fascinating, and she really knows what she's doing! Shelly really is an extra-special woman, and I would very highly recommend her.

I have to admit that when I found the website for Mariah's Mane and scheduled my appointment for hair and makeup the day of my wedding, I was a bit nervous. You can never be too sure of whether or not you will get scammed on the internet! However, based on the beautiful website and the fun, happy pictures of Shelly with her brides, I was confident that she would do a great job. The entire experience of getting ready for the wedding was perfect - all thanks to Shelly. She created a fun, relaxing atmosphere and did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. Not only did she do hair and makeup, she was willing to help me get into my dress and take video and pictures of my husband and I before we left for the ceremony. It was absolutely wonderful to be so pampered and adored the day of my wedding and I will never forget it. I've never felt more beautiful than I did that day! Shelly has my highest recommendation.

Shelly and her assistant were wonderful to work with on my wedding day. I was a little nervous not having had a trial run, but she did an amazing job! I felt truly pampered and beautiful on my special day!

Shelly was great. She did my hair trial and was happy to change anything that I asked her too. She seemed very interested in making sure I got what I wanted. On the day, she gave me a gorgeous sarong in the color of the wedding, a lovely surprise and did a wonderful job on everybodies hair. The only reason I didn’t give her five stars is because every time I called her she would ask me about makeup. I must have told her at least 5 times that we had hired Jessica Waite and I only needed her for hair. I don’t know if this was just bad organization on her part or if she was trying to drum up business, but it got to be a little annoying in the end. Having said that, she was great to work with and it didn’t detract from her services.

I want to share some wedding photos (finally) of our special day, August 20, 2006 and I want to thank you. Shelly, you did such an amazing job. I felt like such a princess all day! I shared photos and our wedding video over the holidays, and everyone complemented me on how beautiful I looked (and they still do)--it was thanks to you and your great make-up and hair work. I was 100% satisfied and was glowing all day. My husband Dan told me I looked absolutely stunning (you were successful in your "sexy bride look" goal). You also made my bridesmaids feel very special--we all had a blast getting ready with you. Way to kick off the day the best way possible and set the tone for the remainder of the wedding! I was especially grateful to have the little kit you gave me--it came in handy when I suffered a minor heat stroke after the ceremony:) And, I liked my hair so much, that I even kept it the way you styled it all through the first day of our honeymoon the next day--with the flowers in it and everything(which just goes to show how strong that hairspray you use is!)

Thank you so much for making me a beautiful bride. My mom and I were very pleased with your work. Not only had you done a great job on designing my hair style (without prior hair trial) and makeup, you were at my wedding site on time and well prepared.

My mom was worried that you would put too much makeup on me, so she was there watching you. It turned out that you captured my facial features so well with the right color and right amount of the makeup. It rained during my wedding reception, but my hair, hair flowers and makeup were still beautiful. I almost wanted to stay up all night because I did not want to remove my beautiful hair-do and makeup. My husband and I thank you for making our day perfect.

If I may add that your quick and detailed responses to my emails before arriving to Maui made the nervous bride like me feel so relieved.
