Reviews for Mariposa Boutique

I loved so many dresses in this boutique. The staff is super friendly, helpful and patient. I do wish they did in-house alterations, but their recommendations were very good.

This was the second place I went to find a wedding dress. I had an AWFUL experience at David Bridal's and was looking not to repeat that experience. With the great reviews for this place, I was excited for my appointment and I was not disappointed. The salon is very cute and small. I didnt feel overwhelmed with the choices but trust me, there is a lot to see here as well. My consultant was awesome! I had no idea what I was looking for and so she found some amazing dresses to try and my third dress was the first one she suggested and it was THE DRESS. It was made for me!! I feel in love completely and didn't try on any other dresses. I paid for my dress that day and it was the best decision!! The staff were all friendly and suggested other vendors like make-up and photographers. Great place!

I worked with Naheemah (might have butchered that spelling). She was great. She stayed with dresses in my budget and only showed me anything SLIGHTLY above when I requested it and made sure I felt comfortable with it. She never once pressured me into seeing any dresses out of my price range and was very helpful and attentive. She got was I looking for and gave me several options. Again, never pushy and was very honest. She was not a "yes girl" and lied to me about what looked good or not. She would tell me when something didn't flatter my figure as much as other dresses and unlike some of my company that was there to "help" me always asked IF I liked or not. HOW DID I feel in it etc. She was just awesome and they were very professional and let me know when everything was ready. They even threw in the bridal dress prep for free and gave me a 10% discount since I found it slightly cheaper online. LOVED them and most of all Naheemah!

Workers are very friendly there! A LOT of dress selection there! They were very helpful in finding the "right" dress for you. I also went there on a random day and they didn't give me any attitude about coming without an appointment so I thought that was great! They also allow you to take pics of you with the dress on so that I really appreciated it so that I can go home and think about it with the dress on instead of trying to remember myself in the dresses!!

I purchased my wedding dress at Mariposa. It was simple and stressfree. The first time I went in with my mother, FMIL, FSIL, and my niece. Sandra was my consultant and was so helpful. At the first appointment I was torn between two dresses so I made another appointment to try them on again and decide. I ordered my dress in September 2010. It arrived on time in February. I purchased a Maggie Sottero. The fitting went great! However, when I left with my dress the consultant (not Sandra) never mentioned their recommended alterations person or when I needed to bring the dress back for steaming service so I had to call them back both times. I took my dress back a few days before the wedding for the pressing service and the dress turned out perfect. I would highly recommend Mariposa!

I purchased my wedding dress at Mariposa. My bridal consultant was Jessica. She was very helpful and very nice. The place is very nice and they have a wide selection of gowns. I highly recommend this bridal boutique!

Mariposa is an unassuming bridal boutique, but once you step inside it's like a bridal fashion show! The store has racks and racks of amazing gowns for you to look through, and on the other side there are dressing rooms which are up on a "runway" with tables and chairs below it for your friends and family to watch you try on dresses! If you aren't impressed by the store itself, then wait until you meet their amazing staff. Every person I worked with at Mariposa was beyond upbeat and helpful. It was here that I actually found my favorite gown designer (Watters & Watters) thanks to the staff's expertise in matching me with what I liked, but because it was only the second salon I went to, I felt I had to keep shopping. I had some awful experiences other places, and then ended up finding "THE" dress (by same designer) at a very snooty and expensive salon. I didn't love the service I got at that salon, and knew I'd be paying a premium on my dress just to help pay their expensive rent. I called around and found another salon that was having a Watters trunk show so they were giving discounts. Still thinking about the incredible service I got at Mariposa, I decided to call and see if they'd match the trunk show price - and they did!! I was thrilled because I wanted to give my hard money to people who had really earned it. Not to mention, they didn't even carry the sample of my dress but they ordered it for me anyway, and actually ordered the sample for their salon as well! I really do love the girls at Mariposa, and can't praise them highly enough. They don't do alterations in house but recommended a great place nearby that did an amazing job for a decent price. The only reason I took a half star off for value is because the alterations place they referred me to doesn't do pressings but Mariposa does, however their prices for that seemed to be rather high. If I hadn't been in such a time crunch I may have shopped around for that a little more, but they did a great job pressing it nonetheless!

So nice! I loved this place! I went to so many boutique's and bridal shops for all the "extras" and everything else I need for my wedding outfit, and either everywhere was extremely rude, way overpriced, or just too busy for anyone who didn't have an appointment. Mariposa is very helpful and friendly and down to earth. Even though I did not purchase my wedding dress from them, they still helped me. Other high-end or chain-stores would not do that. Thanks to Mariposa, I found my perfect veil and earrings! Thank you so much! Thank you for your help and I recommend this store to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with my wedding dress purchase experience. I knew the dress that I wanted when I came into Mariposa. I had called many places and all of them had sold their floor sample (urgh). Mariposa was the only one that still had the floor sample. Leanna was a sweetheart - she helped me with my dress, she was also my middlewoman when I was negotiating the price with the store owner. Luckily I came in on a day they had some kind of a promotion and was able to get a discount. Overall, I love this place AND they are open on Sundays - other bridal boutiques, take notice! Good luck to everyone at Mariposa, especially my girl, Leanna!

Mariposa was one of the two shops that carried the designer I was looking for within the SoCal area. I called to see if they had the specific dress I was looking for and they did and I made an appointment. When I got there (on time) they were still working with previous appointments so they put me in the back room...which isn't very appealing to the eye. Nonetheless, I loved the dress. The same day my bridesmaids also found their dresses. We ordered/bought the dresses that day. There was a slight "freak out moment" when they called me a few months later asking if my bridesmaids were ready to order their dresses yet! I told the girl that they already ordered them and should in fact be in any day now. She said she would call back...when she did she apologized for the confusion and that the dresses had already been ordered. It was just a minor oversight on her part I guess. Overall, the sales associates are very nice and willing to please. I would totally use them again.

I found the dress of my dreams here. The girls who helped me were courteous, patient, cheerful and very helpful. They did not force a decision on me, they helped me in finalizing my decision. I was so pleased with their service and my beautiful dress. It is by Maggie Sotterro and is called Adorae. Along with their service, I was referred to great alterations place which is located right across the street from the boutique. Was expensive but the dress fit as though it was made just for measurements exactly. I was completely satisfied. Everything fit jst right and the dress was completed on a timely matter and even before the expected finish date.Once alterations were finished I was able to take my dress back to the boutique and have it pressed as part of the dress purchase. It looked awesome and was more amazing than I could have imagined.

I was in search for a veil that looked similar to a 500.00 veil I had fallen in love with at another bridal. I walked into Mariposa without an appointment and helped myself. I wasn't expecting any help because i knew what i was looking for and i just wanted to get in an out and on to the next if I didn't see what I was looking for since there was about 2 months to go before the wedding. I happened to come across the most beautiful veil that was an almost exact replica of the 500.00 veil for half the price. Even though still a little above what I wanted to pay, I decided t go ahead and buy it. I was so happy I did. It was beautiful and arrived in plenty of time. I was very pleased with the sales associates who offered to help even though I didn't have an appointment. The only problem I had was that I wasn't called when my veil came in. I had to call them but then again, maybe i didn't give them enough time to call me because i was so anxious.

I am not want to really want to put out negative things but I must say that I had the worst experience with this boutique. I ordered my wedding dress about 7 months before our wedding, and as any other bride would, I order my dream dress. I ordered a Maggie Sottero dress. I was recommended to purchase the dress a size larger than what I should have given the style and design of my dress. I also had plans and intentions to lose weight and apparently my sales rep didn't think I would. Long story short my dress was 2 sizes too big, a huge disaster because it needed major alterations and it had a lot of detail so much that I was going to compromise the look of my dress. The dress shopping experience became a night mare when they did not want to accomadate a new dress for me. To top things off, I orded $400 pair bridal shoes and they were defective. My dress was also defective in some of the beading details. They pretended to be helpful but at the end of the day I got stuck with a dress too big, huge alteration fees, and the worst dress shopping experience that I would never want anyone to go thru. My dream dress became a nightmare. Not once did I really feel like they cared an ounce of what I felt and was going thru, not really knowing wheather things would work out. I luckly found a seamstress elsewhere and my dress was made just right. But I just know that my wedding planning experince could have been so much better and less stressful had I not gone to Mariposa Boutique. Thru this they had another bride that was also going thru what I was going thru because they wanted to give me her dress if she fit into a smaller dress. This proved to me that none of the personal and sales people really know what they are selling or have any heart to sell the right style, fit, and dress design. I will never recommend that anyone go to this shop.

I first encountered Mariposa Boutique at a bridal show in Redondo Beach. They had racks and racks of dresses out, and were very helpful in letting me try on a big variety of dresses. I must have tried 10-15 dresses in that one shot, with my family ooooh'ing and aaah'ing and pulling dresses from here and there in their excitement. But the sales staff were patient, and accommodating. I decided to try going to their salon, since I didn't find anything in that trip. That second visit is when I found MY dress. I was actually about 90% sure on a v-neck dress before I asked if they had one in a similar style but strapless (Fiancee's favorite). As soon as I put it on, I loved it. Ordering was easy and the dress came back in the time frame as expected. When I picked up the dress, they let me take my time putting it on and parading around in front of my Mom. The only downside was that they did not have alteration services in house, but it worked out fine for me, as I was able to find a seamstress closer to where I live. If you want great service and a boutique where they actually allow you to take pictures in the dress (a HUGE plus as any bride knows) I would suggest giving this place a try.

I bought my dress here at Mariposa boutique and I couldn't be happier! I went in about 7 months before the wedding and set an appt up with Beth, upon arriving she helped me soo much and brought me about 10 dresses to try on, while my girls brought another 5. I fell in love with one and decided that it was definitely thee one and purchased it right away. Fast forward 5 months and my dress was ready for pick up, I tried it on and it fit like a glove! Ladies if you're looking for the perfect wedding dress I'm sure they'll have it here for you, the prices of the dresses do range and they have dresses for all wedding budgets.

LOVED our consultant Beth. Lots of dresses to choose from and very good prices. (we found a Maggie for $758 there that was selling for over $1100. at Debra's in Upland). Even though the shop is in a very strange part of town it is probably the largest and cutest shop we were ever in and we went to at least 4.
Found a dress at a bridal show Mariposa was at but the sample was sold before our appointment at their store. Tried on numerous dresses at their store and actually found another one I thought I liked better. Returned to the shop with my maid of honor to show her my choice and then actually fell in love with another dress. Unbelievably I found the same dress at a small local shop for even cheaper and have ordered it there, BUT Mariposa had a beautiful beaded sash that I plan on purchasing from them....so I will go back a third time and spend my money there!!!!
I would recommend Mariposa to all brides searching for THE dress !!!

I had gone to Mariposa twice.Initially, I brought one of my bridesmaids to try on dress. N****** was assisting us, well I wouldn't exactly call it assisting as she seemed far more interested in oogling over the women coming out in bridal dresses. I found a veil there that I really liked and was really thinking about purchasing it. I asked about Chantilly lace veils, and was told they are VERY pricey. I felt a bit insulted by this, as if I didn't know this or couldn't afford it.
In all fairness they have a wide range of selection on bridesmaids dresses. So I scheduled an appointment for the rest of my bridal party to go and try on dresses. The girls found the style they liked, but the store did not have the color swatch samples since it was a new color that was being introduced to the line.
I called the designer specifically and asked how long it would take for the swatches to be sent to the store and I was told 5-7 days after the store placed the order for the swatches. Week one went by, week 2, week 3, by this time I was aggravated and called the store. Finally I was able to get the color swatches.
Overall- The experience is hit or miss. My experience was less than stellar. If you have WEEKS to wait for a response then you may want to check this place out.

I had an appointment last weekend to try on wedding dresses. My consultant was Beth because she helped me at a bridal show in January. The staff all seemed really nice. The boutique itself is really cute and they have lots of dresses to choose from. They even have these little highball tables and chairs for those who are with you to sit and watch you "model" your dress selection. Beth was very patient and helped me try over 10 dresses. She even offered her suggestions from time to time. I am still unsure as to what dress I want to order and after bombarding Beth via email with different dresses I want to try on, she was very reassuring to me that everything would be ok. I have another appointment next week and will follow up.
UPDATE: Went back to Mariposa Bridal, with Beth as my consultant, and found my DRESS!! I am so happy. It's a Sottero Midgley and I couldn't be happier. They have a great selection of dresses and a nice boutique which makes you feel comfortable trying on dresses. Beth was so patient and helpful. I can't wait for my dress to be finished in 4 months!

I was a little unhappy when the day of my wedding came and my accesories had not arrived and I had been given the wrong accesories. So frustrating at the time, and I didn't even end up wearing a hair piece because i was so dissapointed. My dress was beautiful, but Mariposa did not do a good job at making sure it was pressed. I looked at my dress the day of the wedding and it was wrinkled, and let me remind you that pressing was extra expense. That particular shop in Anaheim is not very organized or they're not communicating well.

Initially when my daughter and I went to this dress shop, our experience was a positive one overall and the staff was pleasant. However when the dress came in, we were shocked to find out that it was not representative of the sample dress in color AT ALL! And the sash that ties in the back was not the same width as the one on the sample dress, nor the same color. The new gown lacked the vintage look that my daughter was drawn to. The detail of the flowers and applique, and contrast was completely missing. We were EXTREMELY dissapointed. After six weeks of emails, I have tried to no avail, in getting the owner to meet with me towards a resolution. She assigned an assistant manager to work with me. While the assistant manager is nice, she does not have the authority that the owner Kacey does. Consideration was given to dyeing the dress, replacing it with a new gown, and having alterations come up with ideas. Harmony Alterations was not able to meet our deadline or our price constraints and Kacey wasn't offering anything other than "help...some" which became a credit of $100 towards changes. Teresa in Alterations had little to offer because she said she's too busy with other alterations, and it would probably be too expensive. We're so utterly exhausted trying to fix this issue. Mariposa Bride did contact the designer to help with the situation but they were disinterested and felt they fulfilled their end. Mariposa Bride did not step up to the plate and make things right. They claim it was dirt and sun damage. This was not the normal dirt I've seen on sample gowns at many dress shops. This was SIGNIFICANT! Some MB staff also noticed it, and immediately. The Father of The Bride is now involved and hopefully we will come to a resolution in the future, but at this time and the latest email, MB is unreasonable and acting inappropriately. Therefore I can not recommend this salon.

When I went to go shopping for my wedding dress I assumed that, with my budget, I would end up at David's Bridal but I still wanted to have the experience of going to a "fancy dress shop." When I walked up to Mariposa I was a little concerned as there were a bunch of quincinera dresses in the window but once inside it is the cutest shop ever. There is a great dressing room area and racks and racks of dresses. I tried on a bunch of dresses and the one I fell in love with ended up being in my price range! No David's Bridal for me! I was shocked by the reasonable price and the fact that I had a non-mainstream dress for my wedding. It was a great experiecen and I couldn't be happier.Jessica was the girl that helped me and she was great. So friendly and helpful but not pushy. I didn't feel like I had to buy the dress then and there and she told me I should take my time and even come back. I did end up buying my dress that day and my sister even travelled from Kansas to come shop with Jessica when it was her turn to buy a dress last year. I cannot emphasize how much you should go to Mariposa and check out their dress selection.

My five bridesmaids and I visited Mariposa Boutique on Friday, January 15, 2010. We were greeted by friendly staff and was paired with Beth to be our Bridal Consultant during our visit. First and foremost, this place is really cute! The selection of wedding dresses is phenomenal! They have a pretty good selection of bridesmaids dresses too! Beth was very upbeat, helpful and patient in helping me find gowns that were flattering on me. She took the time research dress styles and colors for my bridesmaids. She was very accommodating too. In order to keep helping us and not have us be helped by another associate in the middle of our visit, she changed her lunch schedule, so she would be available to give us her undivided attention. I was pleased that my girls were able to find a dress they all agreed on and that came in the right shade of purple! Overall, I was very happy with our visit to Mariposa and would highly recommend that brides and their bridesmaids check this place out! Don't forget to ask for Beth! :)

I visited Mariposa Boutique in Spring and Summer of 2008. At the time I hadn't set a date or booked a venue or tried on dresses so I was very new to the whole thing. The first time I went, I was a little intimidated. Lindsey had me pull dresses I liked, but then she lugged them over to the dressing room herself and helped me get into all of them. We talked about wedding stuff and my own apprehensions. She totally didn't try to sell me anything or make a face when I told her I was really just looking since I had no idea when the wedding would occur. She was also super patient as I sifted through my binder of print-outs showing her all the Maggie styles I liked and hoped to find there. Unfortunately they didn't have many of the ones I hoped to see but I got an idea and left with plenty of pictures to share with my family and friends of my first dress shopping experience.
The second time was for a Maggie trunk show and I was helped by the same girl. She was still nice and helped me in and out of dresses and let me take pictures and twirl in the dresses and although I only had an hour for my appointment, it was still plenty of time for me to get an idea.
I have't been dress shopping since but now that we have more of our plans in place, I do plan on making another stop here to see about really buying my dress. I'll update my review if that happens. :)
To Summarize: Pros - Friendly, no pressure atmosphere; Large selection of Bridal and Bridemaid styles; spacious dressing rooms; great lighting/stage for you to view yourself from all angles and they let you take pictures without buying! Plus they give you a card with all the style numbers and prices of the dresses you like. Cons - It's in Anaheim so if you don't have anything else to do in the area, it's kind of a drive; The waiting area is small (they only have 2 or 3 tables and like 6 chairs total so if you bring an entourage, they'll be standing the whole time); No parking so you have to find spots on the street or side streets.
***** UPDATE ***** (based on interactions during Summer/Fall 2009):
I knocked down my initial review of Mariposa Boutique from 5 stars to 4 based on my final visit. Even though the store was empty and it was well before closing time (and I had made an appointment) I felt like they were not happy to have me there and felt like they rushed me during the appointment. I had talked up the store so much to the comapny I brought with me to help me decide on a dress and I was very disappointed that they couldn't see the stellar service that Mariposa could churn out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked up that appointment to them having an "off day".
I tried to e-mail my consultant a few more times per her offer of "let me know if you need any more help". I thought I had seriously made a decision and needed confirmation on a few things but I didn't get a follow-up. It was after the lack-luster final visit and failed replies that I came to the realization that they didn't need my business. It was a pity because I had hoped to shop with them since they had been so nice from the beginning.
They actually did me a favor because although I did like some of their dresses, I would've "settled" on a gown if I had shopped there. The gown I purchased is so much prettier than anything I had seen there and I purchased it a lot closer to me at a deeper discount than anything Mariposa could've offered so all's well that end's well.:)
I still encourage anyone that lives close-by to visit the shop, but caution you to do it once you've finalized your dress choice and when you're ready to actually buy a dress.
I just thought it was fair to do a follow-up review to let future brides know that there might be a little less customer service as time goes on.

Loved, loved, loved this place! I loved that you could take pictures there, I loved how nice the consultants are and I loved the selection of gowns. Our consultant Beth was the best! She really got what I liked and was able to come up with some wonderful suggestions. I thought I found my dress there but I fell in love with a dress at the next salon, one that mariposa's didn't carry. But this place is awesome!

I LOVE this place. I have told all of my friends that THIS is the place to go to purchase a wedding gown. The ladies are all amazing. They are very polite and make you feel really comfortable. When I first went in, they were not pressuring me to purchase the dress. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on.. and they advised me not to purchase it. They told me to test the waters first and then decide if i wanted the dress.. I went to Davids Bridal.. and its clearly not the same. The davids bridal staff were rude, the dresses felt like plastic..the beading was plastic and the salesman kept trying to force you to purchase the dress.. i ended up going to back to mariposa and the manager jokingly said "i told you so.. i knew you would come back..".. she is great. They really do try to find a dress you will like. Everyone raved about how gorgeous my dress was.. i had a wonderful experience with these ladies.. oh.. and to make things even better.. i ordered my dress in February and was told i was going to get it in June. I turned out.. i got my dress in late MARCH! i had the dress in about a month and a half! that's amazing!

I absolutely LOVE this shop and the employees that work there. Lindsey was WONDERFUL. I emailed her with the dress that I wanted. They did not have it but she got it there for me to try on. She kept me updated throughtout the process. I am VERY pleased with their customer service. No pressure at all to buy the dress and I like how we were able to go threw as many dresses we wanted to. Def. recommend!

i got married less than a month ago.. we were not planning on having a wedding, but 1month before the date, we decided on having a wedding. n my oh my! Mariposa was a God sent! they helped me get the dress of my dreams n helped me get the alterations done within a week... the customer service was outstanding!! i recommend to all the brides to stop by mariposa before getting their bridal gown!!!

I have mixed feelings about Mariposa. I was over the moon with the dress I bought and the service was great and not pressure filled like the other salons I visited.
To make a long story short, I received my dress 3 months after the expected date and only 1 month before my wedding! The sales person said that the first dress made didn't meet their quality standard and another had to be made. Needless to say, that was hard to believe and I think they probably forgot to even put in the order. I insisted that there be some type of compensation and what they were able to do for me was give me a 15% discount on their overpriced accessories, bleh.
When I picked up the dress, the sales girl was very pleasant and I was just happy that it was finally in my possession and I DIDN'T use their seamstress. Did not want to risk it.

I really enjoyed trying on dresses at this boutique. They have tons of beautiful dresses to choose from. Only question I had was if steaming on my dress was included. A girlfriend who purchased her dress there the same month seemed to be given more information than I was. I would recommend Mahtab Alterations on Laguna Niguel before I would go to Mariposa's preferred vendors.

To make it short, Mariposa was friendly until we made the purchase. They lied and said what they could to make the sale and as soon as they got their money, it was "I never said that" "That's not something we do" "I don't know what you're talking about"I'm only giving them a 3.1 because my dress is gorgeous.

Mariposa was the first store I checked out when I was looking for my dress. I tried on quite a few and my consultant was awesome. I kind of narrowed it down to a few but I didn't really love any of them so I decided to shop around. I went to several other stores but still couldn't find anything that was really me so I made another appointment with my consultant at Mariposa. I explained the situation and all of the types of dresses I could find and she started from scratch with me. She pulled a bunch of dresses that she thought I would like and the second dress I tried was THE ONE! I loved it!!
I was so in love that I wanted to buy it on the spot but it was $200 more than I wanted to spend so I asked if there was anything they could do. They were able to give me 10% off since they had recently had a trunk show which put it at just the right price.
I can't wait until it comes it!!

I did not purchase my dress here because I ended up getting an awesome deal at another place that was going out of business, but I had a great experience dealing with Mariposa's sales staff and looking through their beautiful selection of dresses. All of their dresses are so pretty and in the affordable price range. I made an appointment and thus had one sales girl giving her full attention to me, and she was so friendly and never pushy and let me take pictures.

Mariposa was my 4th or 5th store I went to. I called ahead and made an appointment and also gave them some styles of the designers I wanted to try on. When I got there they pulled some of the styles but I think I picked a lot that were out of my price range. So like a good consultant, she left those on the rack. She also asked me if I wanted to look around when I got there to see if there were any dresses I liked. I picked out one or two and gave them to her. My consultant was very nice and patient, especially with my gaggle of rude B's I had with me laughing at everything. I actually found my dress there and I left to see if any of the other bridal salons I went to could match it. Mariposa was cheaper by $200-400.00 for each store! I did go back and by it and they gave me the trunk show 10% off as well. The dress's MSRP was $1500.00 at Mariposa it was $1100.00 and they gave me 10% off $990.00, which was perfect since I needed to keep it below $1000.000. They let me take pictures of me in all the dresses and were very upfront and honest about pricing.
The only cons are that the waiting are doesn't have enough seats which is not a big deal, and that they don't help you into the dresses. Which wasn't the end of the world my sister helped me. My dress even came in early!
I would totally recommend Mariposa!

Mariposa Boutique has a good selection of dresses at affordable price ranges, but I was not impressed with their service. I had already tried on dresses in my home state with my mom, so really knew what I wanted and was just looking to buy near Los Angeles. I had an appointment, and was informed they were running late, which is fine, but when I was helped I got very little attention. I don't need to be coddled or anything, however there were about 3 dresses that I tried on, walked out of the dressing room in and my sales person was no where in sight to help clip them. One or two times a different sales person was helpful enough to clip the dresses for me, one or two times no one clipped them so I waited then just went back in.
I really liked one of the sales associates helping another girl who occasionally gave me feed back, so I am sure you can have a good experience here. However, the person helping me wasn't very helpful, she didn't ask anything about my wedding or the type of dress I was looking for. I was pretty much on my own. Thankfully, I knew what I wanted and did end up buying my dress here. It was an average experience and nothing to rave about. I am sure it would be better on a week day when it is not so busy. I do love my dress and feel I got it for a good price. But if I didn't know what I wanted I really would have left still not knowing. I will update this review if my feelings change at all when it comes time to pick up my completed dress.
Pros: good selection, prices are reasonable, I am sure some of the sales associates are helpful
Cons: no pedestal to stand on when trying on dresses, do not always prepare well for scheduled appointments, can be crowded on weekends, your experience will really depend on who your sales associate is
Side note they do not do alterations on site, but recommend someone.

I highly recommend getting your dress at Mariposa Boutique. They have a great selection of dresses in various styles and price ranges (most within reason). The ladies who work there are friendly and professional, and will treat you with respect! They are very open about style numbers and prices, unlike a lot of salons, and they let you take as many pictures as you like! In all, I had a lovely experience shopping with them, and I was so happy to buy my dress from them!

I purchased my dress from Mariposa after having awful experiences trying dresses on at other locations. Sandra was extremly helpful and pointed out details that would and wouldn't work with my body type and the look I was going for. They allowed us to take pictures which really helped because I ended up changing my mind on dresses after I saw what they looked like on me in pictures. My only negative experience was when I went in to try and find a veil later on without an appt and had no help at all. I was pointed to where they were and then couldn't get anyone to help when I was ready to order mine. If you go with them make an appointment and ask for Sandra! :0)

I visited Mariposa back in March of this year after reading several good reviews. I made my appointment and schlepped my bridesmaids over to Anaheim to try on the dresses. The store itself is a bit small but has a very wide selection of dresses. I went in and checked in with the very friendly sales girl at the front desk who referred me over to DeeDee who was an assistant bridal consultant because the other consultants were busy with other brides. I was a little annoyed at this considering that I had made an appointment however DeeDee was helpful in helping me drag the dresses into the dressing room. Later on in the appointment I was assisted by Naeemah who is very sweet and gave her honest opinions about the gowns I tried on (which I appreciated.) I had found a dress I REALLY liked but couldn't decide right away so Naeemah suggested I take a picture of the gown so I can think about it. Now in my experience of bridal shopping almost 99% of bridal salons do not allow you to take pictures so +1 star for that.
After much consideration I went back during their trunk show for Maggie Sottero in which if you purchase your gown that day you get an extra 10% off. Another +1 star for that. I again made another appointment so that I could try on a few other gowns to compare with the one I had in mind. I arrived early for my appointment but had to wait due to my consultant working with another bride. After waiting 40 minutes past my appointment time before a room was made ready for me. The "one" ended up being the gown I initially REALLY REALLY liked and now LOVE.
Overall Mariposa ranked pretty high in comparison to the other salons I visited and ended up having the best price for my gown.

Great wedding dress selection! Everyone was helpful and ordering and fittings were quick and efficient! Great place to find the dress of your dreams!

I loved my Maggie Sotero wedding gown I got from Mariposa. It was only sold at Mariposa, since they are one of the few places in the area that carries Maggie's "limited" line. I didn't pick my dress off the rack to try on, it was recommended by a sales associate and I ended up picking the one she recommended. I would definitely recommend a Maggie Sotero corset back dress if you need a slimming look. They are VERY flattering around the waist line! I also got my veil at Mariposa. The staff is a bit younger than other places in the area, and I did end up waiting for a while for help even though I had an appointment. But overall I was very satisfied.

Great selections of dresses. The store allows you to take pictures for each dress you try out. It actually really helps because you want to make sure that's the dress you really want. Sometimes what you like might not look great on the pictures. I'm glad that I purchased my dress here. Originally my dress would be ready within 5 months, but it ended up only 1.5 months and ready for pick-up. The only unfortunate is they don't offer alteration, so you have to find seamstress yourself. Still overall is great service.

I am so thrilled to have worn a dress so beautiful for such a great price. I HIGHLY recommend that all rent their dresses. I'll definitely use them again the next time I have a big event to dress for. I even used their beautiful jewelry and they were so sweet that they helped me pick everything out and oohed and aahed over me like they would in a fancy dress shop. My wedding photos look like I spent thousands instead of hundreds. Highly recommended!

Beautiful salon with lovely dresses. My initial experiences there were all good. My consultant was very helpful, and all the girls working there were very friendly. They also allowed you to take pictures, which was a HUGE plus for me, and mainly the reason I chose to purchase from them.
I had a few problems with getting them to call me back. Once, I asked them to give me an estimated delivery date on my dress. They promised to call me back and never did. I had to follow up two weeks later. Another time, I asked for a fabric sample, and they promised to let me know when it was here and mail it to me. They did neither. I went shopping there with my cousin a month later and asked about it, and they dug it out of their back room. But both were minor issues for me.
My main issue started after I received the dress. When I went to pick it up, the salesgirl told me that since sales tax was higher, they had to charge me the extra, even though I had already paid for my dress in full. Fine, not a big deal. However, when I returned home, I realized that they had charged me the ENTIRE tax on the dress...not the 1% extra needed to cover the difference. No way I was going pay my tax twice! I called them and was told that they would look into it and call me back. Of course they never called back, so I tried calling again. The girl on the phone patiently explained to me over and over about the tax difference. I repeatedly told her I understood that, but that I shouldn't have been been charged the entire tax twice!
Eventually, I had to dig out my old receipt and fax it to them, and all I got was a "oops...we have your dress recorded under a different price." I mean...a small apology might have been nice after I had to spend a week calling them? On the plus side, at least I got my money back, and I have to say that all the girls I talked to on the phone were still very nice. Maybe their record-keeping could use a bit of help though. So...I really wish I could give them 5 stars because I love the store itself, but the whole deal with the refund was rather stressful and time-consuming.
Also, they have no parking lot, but the times I went, it wasn't too hard to find street parking.

Lovely little salon with pretty dresses. They allowed pictures, which was a huge deal for me. The girls working are all really nice and helpful, and my dress was on time and even steamed for free, thanks to some winter season deal. My only complaint is with their phone responsiveness. Every time I called with a question, they would promise to call me back, then never follow through. It took me three calls to get an estimated delivery date for my dress, two calls and a visit to get a fabric sample, and worst of all, there was a mix-up with the price of my dress, and I had to call them every day for a week before it was straightened out.I would still recommend them though. The girls working are all very helpful and competent in person, and none of them are pushy. Also, the last time I returned with my friend, their selection appears to have gotten bigger.I will echo what other reviewers are saying, though, and recommend you go elsewhere for alterations. Mariposa does not have an in-house seamstress, and the one they recommend is very expensive.

Mariposa was the second place I visited and I definitely knew I wanted to buy my dress from there once I walked in. Everyone was extremely helpful and really listened to what I was looking for. They even matched a discount on my dress from another store. They don't have a ton of dresses but all of them are amazing so this is definitely the place to go if you are looking for that perfect dress!

This was the first place I went to try on dresses and overall it was a stress-free experience. I loved the layout of the store and the stage to try on the dresses. My only complaint would be that the sales person seemed fairly inexperienced and I really needed some greater direction. I will consider returning as my search continues....

My experience with Mariposa wasn't spectacular but it wasn't bad either. I'm mostly happy with them because I found the dress of my dreams there. The sales woman was very helpful and nice. The store has a pretty good size selection. Also, be aware that they are more expensive than say a store like David's Bridal. Also, the tailor they recommend, Harmony Alterations by Teresa, across the street does wonderful work. She is pretty expensive but very worth it. My dress was huge on me once it came in because I had lost weight since ordering it. She did a wonderful job altering it. There was lots of bead work and pleating and she made it look perfect. I didn't have to pull up my strapless dress not one time throughout the entire day/night. She even put in cups in the bust, so I didn't have to wear a strapless bra. It made it so comfortable to wear. she also completed the work fairly quickly. Less than two weeks to take in the entire bust and waist. My only two complaints about Mariposa is that they didn't tell me about a $150 extra fee for a "custom length" until a few days later after I already put the deposit. Also, they sent me home with my dress is a clear bag. Something I didn't realize would be a problem until after I took it home from the tailor (because my groom would be able to see the dress before the wedding and during travel to our wedding location). However, they sent other bride's dresses home in pink bags. I think good customer service would've ensured that they thought of this detail for me. I had to pay $10 and drive all the way back to Anaheim to get a pink bag. That's a bit inconvenient, in my opinon. Overall, I say give Mariposa a try if you haven't found your dress yet. It took me 6 months and countless stores and searching to find a dress. I finally found one at Mariposa.

Ughhh....I did not have the same experience here as the other girls, which is too bad because I was really looking forward to going to Mariposa Bridal. The moment we walked in I kind of knew it was going to be bad. The girl had us pull our own dresses and some of those dresses are Super Heavy which was kind of unpleasant. Then there were not rooms available at my appointment time so we had to wait 20 minutes for a room to open up. When the room finally did open up there was no where for my mom and 2 other bridesmaids to sit so they stood almost my entire appt. That was frustrating and on top of it the sales associate did not help me into the dresses, i had to figure out my way into them and hang them all up myself. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. I would recommend the Wedding Day in Fountain Valley!!! Ask for Liz for your consultant, you can't go wrong!!!!

I lovved this Bridal Salon. Having just come from Mon Amie which was bad bad bad. The were Amazing. When we first arrived they were very helpful. They had already and grabbed some dresses that they thought I might have liked from when I had spoken with them on the phone to set my appointment. The staff was very very nice to me and my family and gave me opinons on what looked the best on me, which was great! When I found my dress I absolutley loved it and didnt know the cost, when they told us We were floored it was way under my budget. This place is great and highley recommended.
GUEST

Mariposa is such a great find!!! They had loads of styles for dresses under $1,000. I don't know a lot about wedding dress designers.. but I know they had a wonderful selection of Pronovia dresses and Sottero & Midgely/Maggie Sottero. My consultant Beth was very attentive and she let me try as many dresses as I wanted in my 1 hour appointment. She wasn't at all pushy about selling me a dress. When it came down to 2 dresses, she didn't try to push the more expensive dress at all, in fact she asked if cost was a factor in making a decision. I ended up with a Maggie Sottero dress for $650!! I LOVED it. Perfect for a garden wedding. Just to note, they do price match (which is GREAT). So if you find the exact same style at another salon for a better price, they will match that price. And if they can't verify that salon is licensed to sell a specific designer, they at least try to offer a sale discount. The decor is elegant and simple. Doesn't have that "cheap" or traditional feel to it. There are 4 dressing rooms. Should definitely make an appointment for weekends. I recommend go during the week if you can. Highly highly recommended!!
GUEST

Mariposa is a tiny little shop but they had a great selection at a good price. The offered to throw in some extras like hair jewels and storage at no cost. Nice people.

cute space. great selection. gowns are separated by designer. you are able to pick out selections then try on then the consultant helps you hone in on gowns for you. you can take photos! service is very friendly, upbeat, and helpful not at all pushy. The only thing I wished was that they had more space for 'twirling' overall a place I would definitely check out again if I lived locally.
GUEST

I was extremely pleased with my experience at Mariposa. I made an appointment there and Jessica was wonderful! I must have tried on 30 different dresses that day and I found the dress I loved. It was the first store I went to so I wanted to look around more, but a few days later I decided that I couldn't keep my mind off the dress and my experience there was so good it was worth it to me. They aren't pushy and I didn't feel rushed one bit. I even came with all my bridesmaid and they didn't mind at all. The prices are reasonable too (at least for the Enzoani dress I bought). They have really nice accessories and veils also, so I purchased my accessories there as well. I would highly recommend them!

I did not have a good experience at Mariposa. I already bought my dress so I was shopping for accessories only (shoes, and veil).
They did not have my appointment time, and I had to wait for 40 minutes just to try on a veil. Also they seemed very disorganized. They also made me try on the dress in the back, which I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't a mess. I wouldn't go back.

I bought a beautiful sample Mori Lee dress. I had to fix the zipper, but instead I had a coriset added in place of the zipper.
GUEST

Mariposa Boutique was my favorite place to look for a wedding dress and I would recommend them to anyone because they are very friendly and reasonable. Kasey, the manager was great and really helped me find the dress of my dreams. After my experience with purchasing my dress, I checked out there website and it said that Kasey had a passion for the bridal industry. Her passion towards helping brides find that special dress definitely showed.

I visited about 3 boutiques before I found Mariposas, and I am glad that I did. Mariposas was AMAZING!!! I live in downtown los angeles, and it my drive to Mariposas was about one hour...yes that how great I thought the were. I met with Lindsey and she made it super easy for me. I love their service, commitment, and professionalism. My bridesmaids also got their dresses there, and they offered them 15% off their dresses. All the dresses arrived on time, including my gown. I gave them a 4 in responsiveness because I was super stressed when I took my dress to Theresa from Harmony Alterations. She was rude, not nice at all and super expensive. I had to pay $400 for my bustle...it was ridiculous!!! When I first met with Lindsey, she stated that it would only cost $80-$100 max, so it was an expense that I was not prepared for. I think that maybe for future, the girls shouldnt quote on alteration fees, only because I was under the impression that it would only cost $80. Kasey, the owner, totally took care of when I explained the situation; she really went above and beyond for me, for me having to deal with all the unnecessary stress one week before my wedding. She took care of my veil and my steaming fees. It was also hard to in contact with them, as the phone will ring and ring and ring. I would still recommend this vendor to any bride...they're amazing!!!!

I've heard rave reviews about this boutique for years. Finally, it was my turn to be the bride to be and begin the search for the perfect dress! The shop is lovely, as is the staff. I knew the moment I stepped foot in the front door I would successfully find the dress of my dreams. Big thanks to all who helped me!

Mariposa's was the third store I visited. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the layout of the store is nice too, so you don't feel overcrowded when looking through all of their dresses. I wanted to show my friends a dress I had tried on last week at La Soie, and it was $550 cheaper at Mariposa!!!
Sandra was really helpful and even brought out dresses from their back room once she started to get a feel for my taste. I would definitely recommend Mariposa Boutique - very pleasant experience.
Update (7/4/09) - Everything went smoothly after I purchased my dress. I was able to pick it up, no problem - and I'd also purchased their dress-prep package where they steam the dress/veil after alterations, and everything turned out well. They don't pressure you to use their seamstress, which is nice. I loved wearing my dress on the day-of and got tons of compliments from our guests.

I ordered my bridemaid's dresses at Mariposa and I was extremely impressed by their service. Ilayda was patient and helpful when we were searching for bridemaids dresses. If its difficult handling one bride and her dress, imagine trying to please four women. We ended up ordering 4 different style dresses, but with the same color and fabric by Bari Jay. I loved how the dresses turned out and my bridal party was happy since they were able to choose a dress that best fit their style and body. I didn't get my dress there since I already purchased from a different bridal salon but I would defintely recommend brides to go there to try on wedding dresses. The place is small but very cute and filled with great dresses.

I shopped at 4 different boutiques, looking for the right dress, and Mariposa was definately the best- many of the others were snooty, trying to pressure me into a dress that wasn't right (so they could make more commission) and I went to some boutiques that were definately "budget" boutiques and it showed. Mariposa had a wide selection of lower to mid-priced gowns (1000 - 2000) and they were more than happy to let me try on as many as I liked until I found one I liked. I noticed that many stores have a 5-10 dress limit. Unless you know exactly what you're looking for, you'll probably want to try on more than 10! Also, Mariposa understood that sometimes it's fun to try things on for fun! My dress arrived on time and it was so gorgeous and unique. All the ladies at the wedding were asking about it and where I got it from. The reason why I gave Mariposa 4 stars instead of 5 was because they don't have an internal alterations person, and the alterations company that they referred their customers to, Harmony Alterations was incredibly expensive. I have always been a standard size 4, I'm 5'8, proportioned and never need to get anything altered but my alterations ended up being about $500.00. Mariposa was great, but take your alterations elsewhere.

The minute I stepped into the store, I really liked Mariposa Boutique. The staff was friendly, and not pushy... like other bridal salons. I had purchased my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding last year at Mariposa, so naturally when it was my turn, I brought my girls here. So far so good...

There aren't enough positive words in the world to describe how I feel about Mariposa Bridal. They were the first vendor that truly made me feel like our wedding was really happening. And they took care of me, from beginning to end. I'd made an appointment to look at dresses there about a year out from my wedding date. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted...and I asked for a particular dress they had to be set aside for me to try on. The appointment was GREAT. I worked with Lindsay, and she took SO MUCH TIME to help me. I truly felt like she was looking out for my best interests...was incredibly honest, yet incredibly WONDERFUL. She shared here opinions, and helped me figure out that was I was looking for wasn't really what I wanted. Hahaha! I honestly tried visiting a few other local bridal salons (everything from David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo to The Wedding Day and La Soie), but I kept coming back to Mariposa. I asked them to special order a sample Maggie Sottero I'd wanted to try, but wasn't able to find anywhere, and they were more than happy to do that. And when Maggie Sottero's customer service completely fell through, Mariposa still took care of me. I ended up finding my dress at another salon, but when I saw the price, I decided to head back to Mariposa and see what they could do for me. They ordered the dress I wanted...for about $200 cheaper than the other salon. It came in in exactly three months, and it was PERFECT. No one at Mariposa was EVER snooty or pushy. They honestly want you to find the right dress, and will help you until you find one. It was the most no-pressure place I've ever been to. They don't make you "register" when you arrive. They don't have a limit on how many dresses you can try on. They don't hide prices or dress names from you. If you ask, they'll give it to you. Lindsay made the entire process so worthwhile. She completely took care of me and kept in contact with me for a good 7 months. She was wonderful, and I'd recommend them to any bride looking for the perfect dress. They'll help you find it, for sure.

So far so good. I ordered my beautiful Maggie Sottero dress from Mariposa after receiving phenomenal service from Lindsay, my bridal consultant. I did see this dress for a lesser price and at a store closer to my home, however since they were the salon that had my dress in store to try on, and because the service I received was so good...I felt they deserved my business. Lindsay stayed late (well past closing time) while I twirled in my dress and decided if this was "the one", played around with jewelry and veil options and then completed my order.
I am not a tiny bride, so most of the samples did not fit properly, but Lindsay did a great job of working with the dress and getting it on me so I could get the best idea possible of what the dress would look like. Other salons would barely put the dress on me or pull in down all the way.
I also ordered my BM dresses and wedding day jewelry here. The only pieces that have arrived so far are the jewelry, but they arrived fairly quickly and looked great!!
I will follow up with my experience once me and my girls receive our dresses.

My friend recommended Mariposa and I was not disappointed! Although they have a smaller selection of gowns (compared with some other shops I've been to), they had far and away THE BEST customer service! Ilayda was amazing to work with and provided helpful advice, unending patience and cheery optimism. The boutique is very charming and the gowns are in great condition. I would definitely recommend Mariposa!

I loved Mariposa throughout my whole planning process. They helped me find my dream dress and made me feel totally at ease and comfortable. My dress came in really quickly, so they made an exception and held it in store without a storage fee. They also answered all my silly little questions about color differences, type of material, etc. Everyone in the store is so knowledgable of all the lines they carry. I usually went in on a weeknight and had the whole store to myself, weekend are a bit more busy. Check them out you will not be disapointed!

I absolutely LOVED my dress!! I could not have been happier with the service. Easy transaction, easy communication.

The service at this boutique was impeccable and their salon layout was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the wonderful advice they provided on what works on my body and what doesn't. Unfortunately I did not go with any of the dresses I tried on there.

The first two trips into Mariposa were great. They were sooo nice. The owner helped me find my dream dress and she was as sweet as can be. It was basically the same when finding my bridesmaids dresses. However, I felt that once they got our money, the customer service went out the door. They sized all of my girls wrong so they had to have major alterations done, especially one who had to return the dress and got a new one back just before the wedding and it turned out the tag was wrong on the dress so she basically had to have to entire dress reconstructed, which costed more than the dress itself. Whenever I would call just to schedule a pickup, etc, it would take forever to answer the phone and on several occasions they hung up while I was on hold (and I was on hold one time for OVER 10 minutes). When we would go in to pick up a dress, they wouldn't even acknowledge us for a minimum of 5 minutes every time we went in. So basically-they are great until they have your money. After that, horrible. Was not too happy with them and cant recommend them to anyone.

The owner Kacey at Mariposa was awesome to work with. Right from the beginning I got a very good vibe from her. The dresses they have in the store are amazing, some of which I had never seen in any other store. Of the other 5 stores I visited, none had the Maggie Sottero I fell in love with at Mariposa. I loved the fact that they had very unique gowns and that the staff was always helpful and never made you feel rushed.
I would HIGHLY recommend this vendor!

I found my wedding dress at Mariposa the first day I went looking with my friends and family. I didn't buy it right away but went to two other salons before returning to Mariposa to purchase the dress (Sottero & Midgley). I did find it cheaper at Mary Me Bridal but hated the service I received there so I called Jessica at Mariposa, and she agreed to beat the price they had it listed at by 10%!! I was so glad to be able to deal with Jessica and Mariposa while waiting for my dress. The only reason I gave 4's for Responsiveness and Flexibility was because they did not call me when the dress was in, I had to call them twice before they found it in the back. Also, I agree with another reviewer that their seamstress, Theresa is difficult to understand and is over-priced (I paid $150 for bustling installation, and it took 2 months). I would highly recommend calling around and getting quotes from other seamstresses before letting her take your dress from you, although the bustling turned out just fine.

This was the first salon I visited after having looked up dresses by designer and finding many of them were sold at Mariposa. I brought a large number of friends and family with me and while there wasn't a place for them all to sit, the employees did not give me a hard time and were nice to everyone. I visited another salon directly after (Mary Me Bridal) and had a terrible experience, but there I found the dress I wanted (Sottero & Midgley) for a bit cheaper than they were offering it at Mariposa. I called Mariposa and asked if they would price match, which they did and gave me another 10% off!
I was so glad to have purchased my dress there. The store is beautiful, the people are helpful and I highly recommend them.

Mariposa was the absolute best boutique! They made the start of my planning perfect! They do not treat you like some dime a dozen bride but as if you are the only bride to ever walk through their doors. The product is exceptional as is everything about the place! Everyone is super nice, and the owner is incredibly sweet! I really cannot say enough how spectacular and amazing this place is and cannot recommend it highly enough!!!

This is a great bridal boutique to do some dress shopping at. They have a large assortment of affordable gowns (Maggie Sottero, Paloma Blanco, Mori Lee, Jasmine) and a beautiful set-up inside the store. The salespeople are very attentive and not pushy at all. These girls are very, very...very patient. I ended up not buying my dress from here, but only because they didn't carry the dress I decided to wear.

After looking for my dream dress and high end boutiques in CA.I was giving up and went in by myself to Mariposa Boutique.I found my dream dress.. there it was.. a beautiful affordable slimming corset dress by Maggie Sottero.Looked like a $3000 dress but I only got it for $750thank you!!

My initial experience was great. At my first appointment at Mariposa the staff was extremely flexible and helpful. My dress was actually the first one I tried on. The ordering and sizing process was easy and my dress arrived on time.
I must say that once my dress came in the manner in which the staff acted was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my dress the girl on hand was rude and had no idea what she was doing. She finally located my dress after 15 minutes. Once she brought the dress out it was extremely wrinkled and looked awful. When I asked to try it on, the girl on hand seemed annoyed. She did a terrible job helping me put on the dress; in fact, it seemed that it might have been her first time putting anyone in a dress.
If you choose to visit Mariposa boutique make sure to make an appointment with the owner or manager. The rest of the girls are clueless and their lack of knowledge and experience is severely apparent.

I was so easy to find the right style that suited all my bridesmaids, even thought all the dresses were so pretty.
GUEST

The shop itself has good service, but their reccomended seamtress Theresa, is absolutely rude. I took my dress there and she rushed me, over charged me, and was very unprofessional. If you buy your dress there, do not take it to their seamtress, otherwise, you will regret it.

I went to Mariposa to try on gowns. They had a pretty good selection of gowns, but what impressed me the most was how friendly and accomodating the staff was. I probably tried on about 15 gowns and then tried on a couple for a second time. Ilayda was helping me and she was very patient, helpful and knowledgable. Like it's mentioned in the other review, she let us take pictures and she printed out pictures of the dresses I liked at the end. She gave me the websites with the style number of the dresses to look them up at home. Some salons are secretive and won't let you know the style, size, etc. Mariposa is not like that at all. I haven't bought my dress yet, but I definitely want to order my dress from them.

Kasey, the owner is awesome!!! I ordered and ivory dress and a month later decided that I actually wanted white when I realized how different ivory and white looked. I came to the boutique in tears and she said she would call the dress company the following day (because it was a Sunday). She said that if they didn't allow us to switch the color, that she would keep the ivory dress as a floor sample so that I would be able to have the white one I wanted. It ended up working out and the company allowed us to switch it but she was so great and accommodating to yet another stressed out bride. All the other girls there were extremely nice, helpful and professional. The dress prices were extremely reasonable for both the bride and the bridesmaids.

Ilayda, Kacey and the whole staff are absolutely amazing! I found my dress at Mariposa, which is Maggie Sottero gown...and now that we are married its the same dress posted here on their profile. The dress came in early so they held the dress for a while for me. I love these girls and this salon! Mariposa is has a HUGE range of styles and prices...so if you are going to go big or have a budget do yourself a favor and go there!!!

I love this place and cannot say anything bad about it. Illayda, the woman I worked with, was amazing. She went straight to the designer to get a sample of a dress I wanted because they didn't have it in stock. When I got there, I tried it on and knew it was the one. She was so great with the measurements and taking care with my crazy fixes on the dress. She told me not to worry, but how could I not. But when the dress came in, I loved it. She was amazing and I would definitely tell any bride that they will be taken care of when they go to Mariposa.

I had a great experience here. I got very personal attention, which meant a lot to me. I had gone to other stores before I came here and I did not get anywhere near the same attention. They had a huge selection too, which was great.

Very friendly and considerate staff and never pushy. I think I tried 4 other Bridal Salons before I found Mariposa. Their dresses are absolutely beautiful and I would recommend this Salon to any bride looking for the perfect dress.

I purchased a bridemaid dress from Mariposa in March. Then 3 of my friends purchased our wedding dresses from Mariposa, we all agree - Mariposa is the BEST place to get your dress from. Kacey, the owner, is absolutely awesome, she is always there to answer any questions that you have. I purchased by dress 3 sizes too small, Kacey not only encouraged me to lose the weight that I need but also have me some workout tips. She kept me motivated the whole time.

I had a great experience at Mariposa. I worked with Sandra when I first came in, she really listened to what I was looking for and pulled several beautiful dresses in my price range. The store layout and selection are great, it was a really low stress experience compared to other stores. The ordering process also went very smoothly and my dress just came in ahead of schedule. If I had one complaint it would be that maybe they need more salespeople on the floor. A couple of times I came in with an appointment and it still took a while to be helped. Overall though, highly recommended!

This shop was great, you get personal attention, outlay of the store was wonderful, they will work with you and ask for your opinions or specifications on bridal gowns you would like to see, also will give advice regarding other gowns similar to the style you're looking at..
the person who helped me was very patient, they all were very helpful..
I got to try gowns that I could not make a choice on twice, was advised on which gowns did what to my body and which gowns had a certain look (elegance, romantic...etc...) I ended up buying my gown there that day, and since my wedding is 1 month away they had to call the manufacture to make sure that my gown would make it right on time....to make things short, they took good care of me.

I called twice to ask questions before making an appointment and the staff was very polite and friendly. I finally made the appointment and was very impressed with their service. The owner, Kacey, was very professional. I noticed right away that all of the dresses had all of their tags attached (most other bridal stores ripped them off, even though they're not supposed to). I picked some dresses and had her suggest some others. She did not have a problem letting me know which designers I was trying on and what sizes. She also allowed pictures to be taken and at the end printed color pictures of the dresses I liked! Overall, the best bridal shop I've visited so far. :D
