Mark and his wife Laurel were wonderful!!! They us laughing during our wedding photo taking! We LOVE our pictures and couldn't thank more!!! We didn't even have to time to meet with them before our wedding but I had a good feeling after our numerous phone conversations and my feeling was right. I really liked Mark's photos that he took. He caught alot of candid shots that made our pictures tell a story rather than the stiff posed pictures you usually see of the wedding party. Alot of ours we were laughing or talking or making faces in, which may not appeal to some people but that was exactly what we wanted. He took a ton of photos also and we got them all on a CD so we were able to get prints of pictures that we may not have been able to get if we were stuck in a package deal like alot of photographers give you.
As for his professionalism I rated him along the middle because I had some issues with him wanting to change what we had agreed upon in our initial meeting and what was in our contract. I will say that he did go out of his way to to the wedding for us as he lives in MD and traveled about an hour and a half for the job. I was just very unimpressed with the fact that he called me the day before the wedding wanting to change things. That isn't something that the bride wants to deal with while going to from rehearsal to nails and dinner.

Mark is an artist and it really comes across in his photographs. He made us all look great with wonderful camera angles, composition and editing. I feel fortunate to have found Mark's website randomly online. I was drawn to the fact that he is an artist and I wanted artistic pictures of our wedding that we could frame and keep forever. What I didn't realize at the time was that so many of my friends paid way more for their wedding photographers, and many of them complained that they didn't like their pictures at all. Mark is very reasonably priced, much lower than many of the "wedding packages" that included things we didn't need or want. And Mark, unlike other wedding photgraphers, let us have a CD of our pictures after the wedding, so we could print them ourselves however we wanted! This saved us a LOT of money. I highly recommend Mark to anyone who wants beautiful wedding pictures at a reasonable price.

I have DJed an outside wedding with Mark Lovett and have to give this sincere endorsement. I have never seen such beautiful pictures from a photographer. Look at Mark's work from any event and you will be engaged in the colors, angles, and uninhibited poses. He is also a talented musician and oil painter, so he lives the arts and is one with his work. WHY I LOVE TO PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS!
I love to photograph weddings because its such a happy occasion and the bride, groom and everybody are at their best. I can feel the love throughout the day, and particularly feel it at around the ceremony. I am always touched when the father and daughters eyes meet right before they walk down the aisle. The shots I get are so real and touching, that I get overwhelmed with emotion when I see them. Of course, it also causes me to anticipate walking my own daughter down the aisle some day. As a father of my own beautiful 20 year old daughter, I would think that this would be one of the most spiritual and touching moments of my life. Im on a quest to capture these timeless moments forever. It is amazing how these precious images speak to peoples hearts as they do mine. Of course, right around vow time at the alter I feel the same way. Its very special and I must express this in my images.
I love capturing the bride getting ready in soft window light. The white veil looks so beautiful across her face as soft window light shines in the room. Capturing all the details of the day in an artistic way is so important because a lot of time, effort and money went into the occaision, and everything is so beautiful and needs to be expressed as such.
I love capturing the moments when people are greeting each other when they dont even know my lens is on them. Some people havent seen each other for a long time and have come long distance for this occasion. These moments are very special too. Of course I get all the traditional shots of folks smiling at the camera too. I could go on and on for hours about my favorite things about photographing weddings but we wont have enough text space to use it.
