I met Marquis three years ago when he was hired for my nieces wedding. I was so impressed that I thought if I ever got married I had to have him for my wedding. Marquis is the best and he made my wedding so special !!! He will go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. My guest really loved him and he made the reception fun. Marquis wore many hats that day, Officiant, DJ, MC, Uplighting and he even gave the blessing before the dinner. Even with all of the tasks he had, everything was perfect. Marquis Entertainment was AMAZING! I met Marquis about 3 years ago at an event hosted by my husband’s employer. I knew right away that this was the person I wanted to DJ/Emcee our wedding. When it came time to choose vendors, Chris and I met with Marquis. We fell in love with Marquis all over again! To quote my husband, "When another man can make me this excited over my own wedding, we must have him!" We met our obligations to other providers but none measured up. It was clear who was right for the job, and Marquis definitely was. It has been almost 2 months and people still talk about how wonderful our party was and how remarkable our DJ was. I have had several guests request his info in hopes of using him at their own personal events. Marquis and his staff checked in regularly with us to make sure we weren't stressed and that we were on track with our planning. He even went as far as to talk to vendors at shows for us and to make suggestions and recommendations. I never had a single worry because having Marquis was very reassuring. He organized our rehearsal, our vendors, and kept the night flowing beautifully. Our guests commented that there was never a dull moment and that everything was very fluid. I think a great way to sum up how pleased we are is to use my father. My dad is not always an easy man to impress. He also had VERY BIG expectations after I graciously declined his idea for a DJ and insisted we had already made our selection. I received a call at around 6:30 am the day after my wedding. My dad called to tell me that we really hit the jackpot when we hired Marquis. He went on for at least 20 minutes about how impressed he was and how he didn't think anyone could have done that job better. To this day, he says that he would never want to host another event without Marquis there to do his thing, regardless of cost. That is a HUGE statement for my dad to make!!! He even went as far as to say that he would hire Marquis to Emcee his funeral. Haha! Marquis, we can’t thank you enough for helping to make our day everything we wanted it to be. It really felt as though we were leaving our wedding in the hands of a trusted friend.

I first met Marquis at my sister's wedding and the family has hired him for two more weddings including my daughter's wedding. If we have another event we will definitely call Marquis.

It is easy to find someone to play music but it's not easy to find a DJ who understands what you need, is a great master of ceremony, etc. Marquis is the whole package.

Marquis is definitely a Jack of all trades. Any time I asked anything of him and his staff, they had anything I needed. For example, I planned a nighttime ceremony and needed lighting with very few outlets available and Marquis made it work. He also dressed in Costume for our Halloween wedding, as well as officiated! Marquis' staff was also very helpful sending mp3's back and forth with me to ensure I had the exact music I wanted.

During the event, Marquis had a keen sense of when people were getting restless and brought the entire group into encourage participation. This included remembering everyone's names and calling them to the dance floor when they were just sitting out being wall flowers.

Since the event, every guest I talked to after the fact has said this was the best party ever. I can honestly say Marquis is a big part of what made everything come together. My advice: Book Him! You won't regret it!

Marquis Entertainment was the greatest decision I made about my wedding and his quality of service was excellent and above any other DJs I interviewed. From the initial phone call with Marquis, he was very attentive and helpful; he basically served as our wedding planner as well! He was the only DJ that I spoke with that was truly interested in our wedding and the events leading up to our engagement. Other vendors spoke with us nonchalantly without a care in their words. On several occasions, Marquis walked us through the ceremony and the reception, from start to finish, and made us feel more comfortable with the itinerary since our venue left us practically clueless. He was always quick to email or call us back, and he was in constant contact with us leading up until the wedding. He was very flexible with our schedule, as we added some extra time to our wedding at short notice, but he made sure he could accommodate us. Marquis also attended our rehearsal, and made sure every member of our bridal party knew what they were doing. At the ceremony, the music played was perfect, and it was amazing how he remembered each person's name and how he encouraged them to get involved. Marquis Entertainment truly goes up and beyond the call of a basic entertainer; he has become a close friend to my husband and I, and he truly made our night special and memorable. The value of his service is well worth what he provides, because, as I mentioned before, he not only serves as the DJ, but also a wedding planner and great help for the whole process. Marquis was an amazing DJ/entertainer. He made the whole event flow very smoothly. He organized our rehearsal and kept things moving on the day of. Marquis was fantastic! As high of a bar that he set for himself during our initial meeting I never expected him to over-deliver. He did EXACTLY that. There are barely words to describe how valuable Marquis is to the weddings he does! He is not simply a DJ or entertainer. My husband and I knew we made the right choice as soon as we met Marquis! He really set our minds at ease. When our wedding day on June 4th, 2011 came it had been raining all morning and we were supposed to be having an outdoor wedding. Marquis came to our Ceremony site that morning and rehearsed with us for a back up plan to take the ceremony inside. About half an hour before the ceremony was to start it stopped raining and the sun came out. I called him up and he took care of everything and I had a wonderful outdoor ceremony. The reception went off with out a hitch with Will! He was amazing. The Longest married couples dance was probably the biggest hit! We were all on the dance floor until it was time to go. Every one of the guests that I have spoken has said that our DJ was the best and that they had so much fun at our wedding. When I first met Marquis, he asked me what I wanted out of it, and I told him that I want my wedding to be fun and memorable. And it was. I couldn't have done it with out Marquis!!!!

Absolutely AWESOME!! My husband and I hired Marquis to DJ our wedding and little did we know he did so much more. He helped with everything: from pick out the right songs when we didn't know what to choose, to keeping everyone where they were suppose to be, to fixing my dress before I walked down the isle. Will Smith was our DJ and he was amazing!! Marquis did such a wonderful job, they would email or call to see if I needed help with any song selection, we met with Will before the big day so that he could get a feel for our personality. Well Will met our expectations from getting on the dance floor and teaching my husband and I the electric slide to singing "Let's stay together" for our timetable dance. We first met Marquis when he DJ'd a friend's wedding before we were engaged. My then boyfriend got Marquis's contact information then knowing that when our time came, our day would not be complete without him. Our guests are still raving about Marquis and his name trick. He kept the pace of our reception (and our guests!) moving all night. He has a great sense of humor and is extremely organized...something that was important to both of us as we planned our big day. There is so much involved when planning a wedding. As residents of Florida, getting married in California, we knew our wedding was going to take some intricate planning. One thing that was very important to the both of us was for our wedding ceremony and reception to run smoothly from start to finish. We didn't want it to appear that our wedding was planned from across the country and we didn't want it to be obvious that our wedding party was all over the country, from Guam to New Jersey. We wanted the ceremony and reception to look well-thought-out, well planned and we wanted it to flow without a hitch.

We didn't think we'd get that accomplished through our DJ, but we did.
I found Marquis Entertainment as a recommended vendor on the internet and decided to give him a call. As the bride, I knew my future groom was not too interested in partaking in the wedding planning events, however, Marquis asked me to put him on speaker phone so that he could speak to the both of us. When I told my spouse this DJ guy wanted to talk to the BOTH of us, he gave me the ultimate "stink eye," but I went ahead and put Marquis on speaker phone. Right away, Marquis had both of us laughing and talking. We were smiling and reminiscing about how we met and fell in love - it was almost like falling in love all over again. I was excited to see my future groom happy and having fun with wedding planning - and he was surprised at how much he liked Marquis. By the end of the phone call with Marquis, we knew that he would be much more than a DJ - he would be that intricate piece to our ceremony and reception that would make it flow ever so smoothly. As soon as we hung up the phone with Marquis, we knew he was the one for our wedding!

As a bride with a mother who does event planning as a career, I was super nervous that my mother was going to take over and run the entire wedding, but with the help of Marquis, everything went perfectly. No really, it was simply perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect on my wedding day. No worries about "what happens next" or "where are we supposed to be when" - it just all happened as it was supposed to.

Marquis was a GREAT DJ/MC. He memorized all of our guests names and basically knew they were either from the groom side or the bride side. He was amazing! My best friend got married 2 weeks after I did and she was saying how she wishes she would have known about him, I tried to tell her. He made our event! Everyone at the reception that came up to me (as mother of the bride), had something positive to say about Marquis. He kept the reception lively, personal and unforgettable.

Normally, I don't rate vendors 5/5, most vendors aren't perfect and there is usually something they could have done better. However, Marquis did a fantastic job and there isn't one thing I would change at my wedding. He remembered everyone's names, got everyone up and dancing (even grandpa) and was extremely friendly. He not only worked with us on our budget, but went above and beyond by giving us some ceremony music to listen to, even though we only used our church organ for the ceremony. Marquis did an outstanding service for us at our wedding. I had a special part in the Bridal Entrance song that I need to make my grand entrance to, and he completely saw my vision and made it happen. When I first started looking for a DJ, I called three different places and left messages. Marquis was the only one who called me back. I knew then that I could trust him more than all the other DJs I had tried to contact. After our first visit, I was sold! We had the most amazing time at our wedding, and everyone was so impressed by Marquis, I knew I had done the right thing in hirring him. Marquis is a wonderful, well prepared, professional, and experienced DJ. My husband and I are very picky and wanted the wedding to be absolutely perfect. Marquis is amazing! I've seen him in action for over 20 years now! Not just at events for myself, but I find him everywhere - because he's been referred to so many friends and family members. MARQUIS is nothing short of AMAZING! From the moment we chose him for our wedding, he ingrained himself into making our reception the most spectacular event possible. My husband and I had a vision for how our reception was going to flow, and it felt like MARQUIS knew what that vision was from the start. As our DJ/MC, he entertained our guests from start to finish, and everyone applauded him for his ability to make our reception flow in an organized and timely manner. Everyone was expecting our wedding to be a bore because we refused to serve alcohol, but they all left saying that was the most fun they had at a wedding, and I attribute it to MARQUIS's masterful entertaining skills. Our wedding took place three years ago, and we still have people talking about what a great time they had, and how AWESOME our DJ/MC was!!! And three years later, MARQUIS even remembered the names of our guests, and we had over 300 in attendance! He also saved our photo montage when the videographer's sound system failed to work... he was clever enough to play music that matched our montage seamlessly. When it comes to parties, there is no one that comes close to MARQUIS's professionalism, skill, personalization, and overall quality of work. To this day, we refer everyone we know who needs a DJ to MARQUIS Entertainment. Our son is turning one soon, and we already told MARQUIS he's going to be the DJ at his wedding!!! We had Marquis Entertainment do our wedding and it was a blast! Marquis kept our wedding flowing perfect, there was no wondering what we should do next, he stayed on top of it. He was great with our guests, walking from table to table, remembering names, he definitly kept everyone entertained. Marquis and his DJ's are suit for the job. From the first time we met with Marquis he instantly befriended us and wanted to know who we were to understand how to best provide for us. They were not kidding when they told me they take care of you and keep the crowd going. Everyone of my guests loved Will Smith (the DJ) and expressed their approval. With DJ's you never know what your going to get, but not here. Marquis provides more than what you could have expected. The only downside were a few technical problems during the ceremony but no one remembered the ceremony once the dancing started. I couldnt have asked for a better wedding and DJ to run it.

I first saw Marquis work at a wedding my now husband attended. That is the first wedding I didnt want to leave early from. I enjoyed myself. And felt like I knew marquis for a long time. When it was time to plan our wedding the very first person to pop our heads was marquis entertainment. We called to set up a meeting. And we knew he was it. We also had the privilege of being married by him. We could see no other marrying us. The day of our wedding was a little nerve racking due to the weather but marquis calmed the bride down and everyone who attended. The day was full of love and laughter.

We are happy to say marquis entertainment was the best decision we made on the whole wedding. I did'nt have much of a wedding coordinator and they stepped up and took charge. Overall we were very happy with Marquis Service. He kept things flowing pretty well especially for the size of our wedding. Only thing that could have been a little better was the encouragement of guest participation on the dance floor. Marquis was very professional and flexible and encouraged many of our guests to use our photo booth which was a huge hit, we are glad we used Marquis Entertainment for our DJ services and would recommend him to friends and family.

They are energetic and interact with the wedding party which in turn energizes the wedding party.....Marque came highly recommended and I can now see why. What a fun wedding!!!

Marquis Entertainment (Will Smith and Marqui) were awesome to work with. Will was the DJ for our wedding and did absolutely everything we asked of him. He got along great with everyone at the wedding and although he was always around he was never in the way!! He played all of the music we requested and kept the party going the entire night!! Choosing our DJ was one of the most important things to us for the wedding and Marquis entertainment was AMAZING. I would recommend them to future brides and grooms, you will be very impressed!!!!

I am the father of the groom and I paid for the DJ service. When I was first told of the cost I said "No way!" I was eventually cajolled into paying what I at that point thought of as exorbitant fees. After all was said and done, Marquis did a wonderful job, and the "exorbitant" fees were not exorbitant at all! He provided music and guidance through the rehearsal, ceremony, and the reception. I would recommend him to any that asked for references! Overall, a wonderful and experience and worth the money!
