Marriott South Beach

I have to say that the Marriot was the perfect location for our wedding. I loved their terrace for our ceremony and the ballroom, believe it or not it was the one of the few places that has a balcony attached to it. I love being outdoors, so it was great to get both in one. The food was exceptional, everyone still talks about the shrimp mojito shots, and the crab cakes.
The staff for the most part was very responsive and helpful. They helped us through the rain.
Service was phenomenal, I think everyone loved the place, food, and location!!!

Got married at the SBM on 6/25... our wedding was AMAZING. Violet (the event coordinator) was very accommodating. Since this was a destination wedding; we were in contact with her via conference calls and emails.

SBM - provides a wedding cake from ANA PAZ (which is delicious), basic white linens, and chairs. Also provided white lawn chairs for our ceremony outside.

The food was delicious. We had beef wellington, sushi and crab cakes for our cocktail hour. Caprese salad and shrimp cocktail for starters. Our entrees were stufffed swordfish and petite filets.

Cons - only pick 3 hor duerves, only pick 2 entrees, the room is narrow (80x20 I believe), the reception chairs need chair covers.

Pros - Amazing/accommodating staff, veranda/balcony access outside reception hall, delicious food, validate parking for guests, great for a small wedding, provided honeymoon suite.

The South Beach Marriott was absolutely wonderful! I am so glad that we chose to have our wedding there. They treated us like we were royalty. Violet Drummond and Sonja Blandon were so extremely helpful and very caring about every detail. They even threw together a rehersal dinner at the last minute that our guests loved! The venue was beautiful as well. Big John and the staff in the reception room were excellent. We didn't have to worry about anything. We are already planning our 5 year anniversary party there!

Amazing, amazing amazing! I cant say enough amazing things about the South Beach Marriott. Sonia Blandon took care of us and I have to say that I now consider her my friend because of all that she made happen for us. They treated us like a luxurious wedding guest. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. I was blown away by everything. I loved the look of the hotel, but the set up, the requests were always met, the emails and phone calls were handles immediately...the food was amazing. I love them and have so much to thank them for! They knew how grateful my husband and I are to them. A+++ They truly know how to run an upscale hotel and a SLAMMING event. We had our wedding on their beautiful terrace, cocktail hour in the outside lounge area, and the reception in their large ballroom. Our wedding was amazing because of South Beach Marriott :) Thank you!

The hotel was beautiful and in a wonderful location. Our event managers Doreen and John were amazing. They made everything possible for us, including the many issues with the rain we had during the weekend. We had planned a cocktail picnic in the park and when it started to rain and we had no back up plan, the hotel let us use one of they're banquet facilities. They set up the entire reception for the wedding the next day perfectly and waited patiently with us for the rain to stop since our ceremony was on the beach and our recpetion was on their outdoor terrace. I cannot express how happy we were with everything they did for us, they went above and beyond what they needed to.

Average. If you are willing to overlook mistakes along the way, this is good value for money.

Marriott South Beach is a wonderful place to have a social or corporate event. The professional team, the service, the food are A+ !!
