Reviews for Marry Me Bridal
I looked up the specific retail stores in the area for my specific Maggie Sottero gown and Marry Me Bridal popped up. They do carry a wide selection of wedding gowns priced from approx $600 to $5K+
They do get very busy on weekends and weeknights, so an appt prior is neccessary. Overall the customer service wasn't the best but not bad either. They also don't allow to take photographs of the try-on's unless dress is already purchased. My dress arrived 1 month ealier than scheduled, which is always a plus.
I went to mary Me Bridal on two occasions to try on wedding gowns. These have a very big selection of wedding gowns. In fact, I didn't even get through all of the racks my first time there. Carol was helping me and she was great. She was very friendly and helpful. I ended up buying the sample of the dress I wanted the second time I was there for 30% off. The only thing about this salon that was a little negative is that it gets very busy, so I would recommend going early or during the week.
Found Mary Me Bridal on Project Wedding and heard about it through my sister in law and thought I would definatly make a 2 hr. drive to see what I could find. I read that they were very busy and went ahead and made an appointment which I realized was needed when I showed up. I had also read that the staff could be rude and not so helpful. I went hoping I would have a better experiance than I had read. Wrong. I get there and every thing is sorted by designers which can be helpful to some brides but unfortunaly not for me, I was open to anything. After finding a few dresses to try on I narrowed it down to one. I asked the staff to take my measurements so if I did decide to go with the dress I could call them up and give them a credit card to take a deposit. Wrong again. The lady refused to take my measurements unless I was definate on getting the dress. WHAT? Both me and my sister in law had to convince her to take them and had to start talking $$$ for her to start warming up. I think they have so much business they don't feel they need to provide any customer service, someone will eventually buy.
Maria was the girl I worked with, she is GREAT! She suggested the dress I fell in love with. I ordered my dress for $600 less than it was at Mon Amie! The dress came in a month early and it is perfect!.
They do have a very large selection of wedding dresses. Their bridal consultanats are a bit dated and was not very helpful in finding the dress styles that I was looking for. They were the only bridal salon I visited that would not allow us to take photos of the dresses we tried on.
I called them on a Tuesday and inquired whether they had a specific Anjolique dress in stock as a sample. They said "yes," and since they were the only ones in the area who had it, I decided to make the drive to Orange from Santa Monica, where I live. Low and behold, when I got to the store, they couldn't find it. After 20 minutes of searching, they said "Oh, we sold the sample a few weeks ago!" Great!Thank you for 5 gallons of gas I burned to get here and back!
They suggested I tried on a few dresses anyhow, and I was helped by an extremely rude German woman. She didn't introduce herself so I don't know her name. After putting one dress on she commented, "Perhaps you should go to David's Bridal where they have sizes for people like you" I was stunned. I'm 6'0" and a size 14! Yes, I'm tall, but if I were a size 8 (and fit in the samples), I'd look anorexic since i have a large frame! Besides, last I checked the ave size of a woman in America is a 14!
The German woman also refused to help me take off any of the dresses as she said "You're too tall, I can't help you!" So, I had to call in one of my friends who is a whopping five feet who managed to help me despite my height handicap.
While she was "helping" me she also told me about the dress I came in for and commented "It was really pretty, the girl who came in for it had to have it even though her wedding isn't until 2009!" Wow, thank you for adding insult to injury!!
After trying on 2 dresses, the saleslady sighed at the 3rd and said "do you really want to try on another one?" At that point, for fear of assault if made to spent one more minute with this beeyatch, I said no, got dressed, and left.
This was the 4th store I went to, and I had never got such rude service, or made to feel so bad about myself. I would urge other brides to boycott, to let them know that it is NOT OKAY for sales people to make you feel bad about yourself if you aren't a perfect size 6 or size 8. The irony is that sales lady could stand to loose about 20 pounds herself.
On a non-personal note: They also don't want to let you know what designer you are trying on because they are overpriced. Many stores I went to, wrote down what styles I liked (with prices), and gave them to me to take home. Marry Me Bridals keeps it on a card they keep in the store.
I was a Bridesmaid in my cousins wedding this past Saturday. My cousin bought her wedding dress, her bridesmaid dresses and her flower girls' dress here. I paid over $300 for my dress, including the hemming.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the dress, and the customer service. My dress ripped and fell apart right after the ceremony, before the grand entrance of the reception. I had to put a huge safety pin in the middle of my breast area to keep my breasts' from falling out.
When I called the store after the wedding to ask for some sort of compensation, the store owner Esther Healey told me that it wasn't their responsibility and there was nothing they could do. It wasn't their problem, and they will not give me any type of refund.
I absolutely do not suggest this store to anybody. Luckily, it was my dress that fell apart and not my cousins wedding dress. But it's horrible when a dress I pay over $300 for a very special day, doesn't even make it to the reception.
Absolutely ludacris.
