Matt Davis - DJ

The epitome of satisfaction, communication, and professionalism. This is how I would describe our time with Matt Davis from the very first contact through beyond the end of our celebration. My wife and I were convinced after receiving his first email response that Matt was the one whom we wanted to provide the audio entertainment for our wedding.

His communication is impeccable. He arranged two meetings with us before the event according to our convenience. After the first meeting, I can boldly say that we both felt a great sense of comfort knowing that this aspect of the wedding was in the perfect hands. If I ever needed to ask a question through email, I received his response surprisingly quickly each time.

The wedding itself (ceremony and reception) went flawlessly. Matt was early to the location to set up his gear, and was ready with accommodations for everything we needed for the whole day. Both of us heard countless reports from friends and family about the great time they had, and we witnessed their joy ourselves from our head table and the dance floor.

Matt contributed in a huge way to make our day perfect, and I highly recommend him for your wedding or any other event, big or small!

Matt was great!!! He was very responsive and made the flow of the night. He did a great job reading the crowd, especially since we had a few odd requests (like no real dinner hour and dance music the whole night). We got a lot of feedback after the wedding on what a great job he did. Also, Matt was great to work with and so easy going, flexible and helpful. My now husband and I needed a good bit of guidance and he really helped us through it.

Matt was amazing! It can be difficult to talk about music because it's so personal. This was especially true for us as our taste is all over the map and we were very concerned about how to achieve a sound that would touch upon all/most of the genres we love without sounding schizophrenic or causing abrupt changes of pace. We wanted to make sure that our dance floor was jumping all night and knew he was the right person for the job after seeing him DJ at a friend's wedding. By the end of the night we were committed to hiring him. If I wanted to take a break from dancing, I had to wait for a song to come up that I could stand NOT to dance to: most of them would get me back on the floor even if I was exhausted! That was exactly what I wanted for my own wedding.

Matt was incredibly genuine and approachable. He offered some great suggestions of artists we'd never heard of to flesh out our sound, and had some useful insights regarding mapping out the timeline of the night. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Matt was both very professional and personable throughout the entire planning process. He remained very organized, communicative, and paid attention to every detail. He made great suggestions anytime we were unsure of an aspect of the reception. He was greatly helpful in assisting us to make a timeline for the reception and all the music choices were enjoyed by all attended. Matt Davis is Baltimore's finest, and we are very thankful to have had him as a our wedding DJ.

As you can see from the other reviews, Matt is absolutely wonderful! I consider myself a very organized individual, and plan everything from beginning to end, however when we met with Matt, I realized I could relax as he is way more organized than I am. On our initial meeting, Matt provided categorized song lists and a worksheet that guided us down the correct path. Throughout the planning process, he provided his expertise, as well as, sorted through our scattered ideas. Every time I emailed Matt, I received a response immediately. On our wedding day, we were going in a million different directions, but knew Matt had everything under control and he outlined our reception flawlessly. I always say, you know it’s a great wedding when no one leaves the dance floor, and that’s exactly what happened during our reception. I had individuals asking how the cake tasted, simply because they didn’t want to miss a beat. People of all ages could relate to the songs and danced the night away. At the end of our reception, and still a week later, I am getting texts and calls about how great our DJ was. Even the wedding coordinators commented on Matt being the best DJ they have ever worked with. Matt’s experience, professionalism, personality, and talent cannot be measured. It was such a privilege to have him at our wedding, and we highly recommend him- you will not be disappointed! Thank you Matt for giving us such great memories of our special day!

Matt was amazing!! From the first time we meet with him till the end of the night at our wedding. He is a constant professional in the way he does business and the way he conducted himself at our wedding. I would deffently recommend Matt to anyone. He was absolutely perfect and everyone at our wedding said the same thing. Couldn't been happier with Matt.

From start to finish, Matt was an absolute gem. He took great care to meet with us and gather all of the details of our reception, as well as making suggestions when we weren't sure of what to do.

His flexibility on the music selection was superb. We ended up hand-picking most of our dinner music and were rather picky about the genres of our dance music, but Matt had no problem with this. In fact, he welcomed us to be as specific as we wanted to be. His song list was extensive, and we used that to make all of our choices. There wasn't anything we wanted that wasn't on the list.

Matt was punctual, dressed well, and his equipment was top notch. He was ready to go when our reception started, and adapted to any delays or changes that were made to our event timeline.

Matt was also very approachable to our guests, and was great with any and all requests.

I'll be referring all of our friends to Matt. He made our wedding reception stress-free and enjoyable. Our guests say that they will be talking about our wedding for a long time!

Matt did a wonderful job for both our ceremony and reception. I had no idea what I wanted but he had a questionnaire and suggestion sheets that helped me come up with everything I needed (and more, woops!). Matt did a great job at our wedding. Our guests danced to the very end of the night, and the dance floor was full the entire reception. He also listened to our likes/dislikes and stuck to them. The only negative was that there were a few things that he forgot to do during the reception (the centerpiece give-away and playing the wedding song of the couple who “won” the anniversary dance). However, only we knew that, and it was not apparent to our guests.

I first saw Matt at the Towson Sheraton Bridal Show a while back and wanted to do a meeting with him. My husband (fiance at the time), is a fan of his from 98 Rock, so he was very excited to book Matt. Matt is very easy going, not to mention extremely professional. He always listened to what we wanted when we met with him and nothing was ever stressful. On our wedding day, Matt took a few requests from our guests, but not without asking us first. He kept the party going and he knew just the right music to use at certain parts of the reception. Everything was amazing and everyone danced all night. Thanks again, Matt, we are so glad you took part in our big day!

Matt was so awesome to work with. He let us choose our song lists, and also gave us some good suggestions. All our guests said that it was the best music theyve ever heard at a wedding!

He's the best. He responds so quickly, sometimes within minutes and thinks of everything. He makes sure that you get the wedding music that you want. It wasn't until we were at the wedding and were getting compliments on the music that we realized how important it is that the music be a reflection of you and your guests. Matt is a true professional and I recommend him highly.
