Maui Wedding Cakes

I was a tad bit worried about how the cake would turn out after reading several mixed reviews. So how was the cake you ask? It was pretty good, some flavors definitely better than others and nothing was terrible. We had 4 flavors in total, red velvet, chocolate with mousse filling, white cake with strawberry whip and lemon with raspberry whip. Everything was pretty tasty except the chocolate cake was a tad bit dry. The red velvet was yummy from what I tasted. My mom said that she had a piece of white cake with pineapple filling. Umm not exactly what we ordered but she said it was very tasty. Also, the cake did look very beautiful (though we found just a few cracks on the side) and it was exactly the design that we wanted. All in all, it was a very solid experience.

This is the most unprofessional company I have worked with. Had a scheduled cake tasting appointment that Cheryl set up herself. We drove 40 minutes for the appointment and she said she didn't have it on her calendar. She tried to blame my wedding planner. I showed her the e-mail and didn't even apoligize. She ended up sending the samples to our condo...they were absolutely horrible!!! No flavor in the frosting, which tasted like whipped, melted butter and the fillings didn't have any flavor at all. We tried the passionfruit, guava and strawberries. We even had the front desk crew at our condo test them and they had the same reponse. HORRIBLE...I don't recommend this place at all. Very unprofessional and horrible tasting cake.

Maui Wedding Cakes did a fabulous job with my wedding cake. We corresponded via email for the majority of the time but they were prompt with their responses and answered all of my questions. I was able to go to Maui for a tasting prior to my wedding and was amazed but their variety of flavors - they were all very good. As far as design, they matched my idea exactly for both the wedding & groom's cake except they forgot to place the wedding cake in an off-tiered fashion as I requested - that is the ONLY reason they did not make the 5/5 rating. In the end, the cake was beautiful and I could not have asked for more!

We used Maui Wedding Cakes for our rehearsal/family luau prior to our wedding. The cake tasted ok, but for a basic design (especially for what we paid) I expected it to be done in a much neater fashion. I was also quite a bit taken back when we picked up our cake from their house (left in fridge on front porch) - definitely not what we had been expecting.Overall, I think they work if you're looking for a basic cake - but don't expect any frills. We ended up going elsewhere for our wedding day, and were completely thrilled.

Cheryl and Casey from Maui Wedding Cakes are so easy to work with and their cakes are amazing. They always responded to my emails quickly and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The lilikoi filliing was my favorite, but we also had banana cream and coconut-all were so good and many of our guests commented on how great the cake was!

We showed a photo of a cake to Maui Wedding Cakes and in return she gave us exactly what we wanted. A beautiful cake with great flavor and taste. Everything was done on-line so we were taking a chance not being able to taste prior to the wedding but I can tell you it turned out to be great cake that everyone enjoyed. I was very happy with her service. I will try to post a photo so you can see how it turned out. The cost included a 20% mark-up from our wedding coordinator White Orchid Wedding. To avoid this charge simply order the cake yourself directly. We were very pleased with Maui Wedding Cakes

We ordered a 2 layer white cake covered with white chocolate shells for our Maui Wedding. It was wonderful! Not only was it beautiful to look at, it tasted great!

My wedding cake was prettier than I could've imagined! I gave them some pictures of cakes I liked and told them ideas I had, and they created a beautiful cake. It tasted delicious too. I would recommend the lilikoi flavor.

My husband and I were married on Maui last August, and at the last moment a hurricane was set to hit on our wedding day, so we had to move the wedding up by a few days, and moved our post-wedding dinner to a reception dinner the night before. With just 2 days to spare, Maui Wedding Cakes answered their "Emergency Cake Line" and were able to make us the cake of our dreams in just that small time frame. I can only imagine what they would do with a little more notice! The cake not only met our expectations, but far exceeded them both in taste and style. I can not rave enough about our wedding cake from Maui Wedding Cakes. To this day (a year later we still dream about it) and our next trip to Maui we will be ordering one "just for the hell of it". It was the most beautiful cake and the most delicious cake I, and my guests, have ever tasted in our lives. We even all took a piece home and ate them for breakfast the next morning! We just couldn't wait to have another bite! As a desination bride, we didn't know what to expect and we were MORE than pleased! I would seriously recommend this "wedding cake" service to absolutely anyone!

Maui Wedding Cakes did a great job keeping in contact with me via email since I was not in Maui to meet face to face. They also work great with my wedding coordinaters. The cake was beautiful. They delivered on time and to our hotel. They did a great job all around. The cake didn't taste as good as I was hoping (I bake myself so I might be a bit critical) but everyone who ate it loved it.

My wedding cake was ordered over email as I was having a destination wedding. They were responsive and accomodating. I picked the flavor lilikoi (pasionfruit) from a list and sent them a detailed pic of the design I wanted.The cake tasted amazing. It was seriously good. The design execution was terrible. My design was very simple (evenly spaced dots) but looked like a five year old had been left in charge of it. It looked like my cake had chicken pox. And the topper was smooshed into the top of the cake, the frosting was a mess on the top. For the cost of the cake, I would have expected the decorator to be able to handle simple dots well.

Our wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious. Highly recommended. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. You need to book early in advance. Sometimes they are so busy it takes them a little while to respond. Sad that we wont be able to eat a peice of it for our One Year Anniversary.

Great business to work with, flexible and we got exactly what we wanted with a couple of suggestions by them. Maui Wedding Cakes was also able to help us find doves for the church ceremony.....and YUMMY cake also

We got our cake from Maui Wedding Cakes, and it was delicious! They made exactly what we asked for, and our guests love it! They delivered it to our reception site, and we didn't have to worry about it! I highly recommend them!

Maui Wedding Cakes makes it so easy to order a wedding cake. Their website is fantastic, their response time is very quick, and they seem to be very friendly on the phone! I couldn't have asked for a better vendor for my situation (a destination wedding, I had to do everything by phone and email). They are highly accommodating, and quick to offer suggestions if you need them. We had the buttercream frosting, which is amazing, and our two-tiered cake had coconut filling on the bottom and regular white whipped cream filling on the top for our coconut-hating guests (I couldn't believe there were six of them!). The coconut was even better than expected. The flowers on the cake were gorgous. I highly recommend this service, but be sure to book in advance!

Maui Wedding Cakes created our slipper (flip flop) favors. These are cookies hand tipped in either white or dark chocolate, and decorated. They also put raw sugar in the bottom of the small bag so it looks like sand. Very nice favor that was placed at each place setting upon our guests' arrival at the reception. Highly recommend.

This is an AWESOME bakery! "Maui Wedding Cakes" has top notch favors and quality. I can not say one bad thing about any of my vendors. My wedding was a dream come true.

My wedding cake was more beautiful than I imagined. They are extremely flexible and willing to do anything to make you happy. I was very impressed.

We ordered the chocolate slipper favors. They came in nice packaging with raw sugar that resembled sand. Nice touch.

Selecting my wedding cake was pretty simple. I would suggest looking over your quote very carefully before submitting in a final request - they originally gave me a quote for the wrong cake! I don't know if they update their website frequently, but just make sure that you describe the cake you actually want (in addition to the style number) when you put in your quote!As for the taste, I ordered the white chocolate mousse with buttercream icing. The top didn't even make the plane ride home - we ate it on the plane before we reached our first stop-over!

All I can say is YUM!!! The wedding cake I ordered online was awesome, beautiful and best of all tasted heavenily!! Maui wedding cakes arranged the delivery with the venue our reception was at (The Seawatch) and it was all taken care of. There website is great if you are planning a destination wedding, and don't worry about the cake not tasting great, because it is soooo good!It was easy to order and service was excellent. Great place to get your wedding cake! Delicious! Beacuse I used to live on Maui I wanted a traditional Hawaiian flavored cake, my favorite being lilikoi. Our cake had lilikoi (passion fruit) filling and a buttercream frosting covered in beautiful fresh plumeria flowers. (Lime Green icing bursting with yellow Plumerias).

By far, the best cake I have had. They were very easy to work with, took suggestions, and made our cake to look just like the photo I submitted. The cake was amazing -- two layers, the first being chocolate with chocolate mousse filling, and the second being white cake with passion fruit and whipped cream filling. The cake was delivered in a timely manner, and the flowers on top were gorgeous.
