Maya Myers’ talents stretch far beyond the images that she captures. Her helpful, patient, and caring personality coupled with her organization skills are perfectly fit for the event. Overall, from our first conversation with her, Maya dedicated herself to ensuring that we would thoroughly enjoy our wedding weekend and would have memories captured for a lifetime…and she was definitely successful!

Our wedding was in Syracuse, NY so Maya traveled across the country for us without issue. Maya was able to overcome the great distance with excellent communication via phone and email. Through our regular communication with her, Maya ensured that she was ready to hit the ground running once she arrived in Syracuse. If we didn’t know otherwise, we would have thought that she had been to each of our venues on several occasions prior to our wedding weekend.

She took it upon herself to prepare ahead of time, ensuring that she would not miss anything during the wedding day. She came to the rehearsal and did a walk through of all of the sites prior to the wedding itself, allowing her to observe the space, the lighting, and take the time to meet everyone involved. She was extremely helpful in setting up the timeline for our wedding day. She worked with the DJ and our other vendors, ensuring that we never worried about, or were even aware of, the time.

Throughout the entire weekend, she truly cared about us and our guests – even displaying a great deal of patience with the crazy antics of some of our guests!

After looking at all of the pictures, Maya seemed to be everywhere during the entire wedding day. However, she did so without being “in the way”…she encouraged a great time, without obstruction.

Maya’s work speaks for itself. Her beautiful photojournalistic style was just what we were looking for. She effectively told the true story of our entire day, capturing our personalities, our friends, family, and even the food – without being staged. Our friends and family have been blown away by Maya’s pictures. The compliments keep coming in…Maya is, in a word, amazing!

We would love to work with Maya again in the future, and we would definitely recommend her to any of our friends, family, or anyone looking for the best in photography for their event!

We really enjoyed working with Maya and her team. The pictures that Aurelia took were just beautiful and we will certainly treasure them for years to come. We'll definitely be calling Maya the next time we have a special event that we'd like photographed. She and her team are a group of professionals who genuinely love what they do, which is obviously displayed when you view the photographs!

At one time I myself was a professional photographer, so when it came time to finding a wedding photographer of my own you can imagine how incredibly picky I was. There are hundreds of "photographers" in LA but very few have a creative vision that can bring your special day to life in a truly unique way.

Thankfully we had the pleasure of having Maya shoot our wedding this past June. From start to finish the experience was amazing.

She went to my fiance's hotel to photograph the pre wedding activities, and still some how made it back to my house to photograph me getting prepared! After the wedding my wife and I headed to another location in downtown culver city to shoot some portraits. In the confusion of the wedding day we were left without a ride to our own after party!

What could have turned into a nightmarish disaster Maya solved by offering to drive us to the dinner and photograph it all the way out in studio city. This wasn't a small thing as studio city is about 45 minutes away without traffic and we got stuck in tons of it! I’m sure I drove her a bit crazy during the ride as I was stressed cause we were running late, although she didn’t show it. J

I can't recommend her highly enough, my pickiness paid off with photographs that were more then I could have hoped for. She was extremely gracious and photographed in a way where you rarely ever noticed she’s there, yet somehow she still managed to capture every moment.

Finding a photographer was one of my biggest priorities for our wedding and choosing Maya and her team couldn't have been a better decision! Maya's photography and creative eye caught my attention, but her endearing demeanor, attention to detail, highly professional services, and commitment to exceptional work solidified the deal! I HIGHLY recommend Maya and her team to photograph your most important memories.

Maya is such a wonderful person and exceptionally talented photographer! When my husband and I looked at our album we were so amazed at how it was beautifully laid out. Not to mention the DVD, I'll just say that it brought tears to our eyes, really. Maya definitely delivered far beyond what we had expected.

My wife and I HIGHLY recommend Maya. Maya's work is incredible and we were amazed at what she captured at our wedding. Maya made us feel comfortable in front of her lens and I think our guests felt the same way. We are nearing our first anniversary and still look at the pictures with a combination awe and amazement. She caught so many beautiful moments that day, and also did a fantastic job of capturing the small, unplanned, spur of the moment things that made the day special. We have them forever thanks to Maya.

The pictures were pure perfection, but working with Maya was also great. From our first meeting with her, she was easygoing and understanding, but there with great suggestions and ideas for us. Maya made sure we were comfortable with everything planned. Maya scouted out our outdoor location the day before the wedding, at the same time the wedding would take place, to make sure they were no lighting issues. It's that kind of attention to detail that made us rest easy knowing that Maya would be shooting the wedding. Maya was calm in the midst of the wedding day chaos and seemed to blend in, sneaking around, capturing the great moments. We're lucky to have gotten her for our wedding. You'd be lucky to have her for yours.

I found Maya through one of her professional organziations, a photojournalist organization, and noticed immediately the sophisticated quality of her photos. My fiance and I were not looking for fake, stiff, posed pictures, we really wanted a photographer who could capture the spirit of how we saw the wedding - joyous, exuberant and full of life! We met several photographers, but decided to book Maya immediately following our first meeting with her. In addition to her professionalism (little things like explaining what the contract would be, a well put together slide show and willingness to explain her tiers of prices so we could pick the services that best fit us), we felt very comfortable with her. She was open and mellow, exactly what I wanted knowing I was a stressed out bride.

After booking Maya for our wedding, we decided on an engagement shoot particularly since I HATE being in front of a camera. This was a way for me to just feel more comfortable, and Maya worked her magic! She not only helped us pick some amazing backdrops, she was so patient with my awkwardness - I can't lie, by the end of the shoot, I totally felt like I could model in front of a camera all day.

I know I'm gushing, but having someone you are comfortable with is incredibly important - having someone who captures the beauty of your wedding more so.

Maya was such a joy to work with. She immediately puts you at ease so your personality comes through in all the photos. She is bubbly and fun and shares the excitement of the day with you.

I was so happy to have worked with Maya and have recommended her to my friends with no reservations. She was professional and I love love love my photos. I love to look at them because they captured what a perfect day it was.

I feel so privileged to have had Maya Myers shoot my wedding. Maya made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. When we saw the final pictures we were very emotional. She captured the "something special" that makes us, well...us! She did a fabulous job capturing every single moment and detail.
