Reviews for MB Bride & Special Occasion

I found my dress at MB Bride after an extensive search everywhere. I thought the sales people were very nice and attentive. They didn't make me feel rushed or anything. I think they might be expensive although I guess I just picked an expensive dress that I had to have.

They had a great selection of dresses and really took time with my mom and I. They heled zip and unzip, give opinions and helped me pick the perfect dress. It came in on time and all was good.

They had tons of dresses, a knowledgeable staff person that devoted a ton of time to helping me find just what I wanted, and an AWESOME sale rack. I ended up getting a $1400 dress for $250. I would have used them for alterations but they were super far from my house. Worth the trip for finding the right dress, though!
Great mirrors in the nice room on the left for trying out your dress!

I had a really good experience getting my dress at MB. It was easy and I picked out my gown in less than 1 hour. Okay, well, I did internet shop for weeks before actually going to try on dresses. :-) The staff at MB Bride was very knowledgeable and made the me and my mom feel comfortable with the whole process. Everything was delivered on time, as promised.

MB Bride and Special Occasion has a very helpful staff and is willing to assist the customer in whatever way they possibly can. The prices are reasonable and the alterations are done with excellence. They allow you to shop by designer rather than wading through countless rows of white fabric.

MB Bride had the largest selection available, for very reasonable prices. They were responsive each time I called, and went out of their way to ensure my Matron of Honor had her maternity dress delivered in time! If you are a Pittsburgh Bride, this place is a "must visit" just to see the collection alone.

I went to MB brides (1 hour from my home) because of their selection. I found my dress on the first visit. I needed to alter the skirt and the alterations department was happy to do whatever I wanted. The alterations were perfect and I could take my dress home at the second fitting. As I looked for shoes and a handbag the sales woman took it upon herself to look through their recent shipment to find items that I thought I'd like. They had forgotten to dye my shoes when I picked up my dress so they got them done while I was there I could take them home with the dress and save a trip back.

I loved going to MB Bride! That staff was amazing with everything from Melanie my dress consultant and Suzanne who was so great with alterations. Thank you MB Bride!

I had nothing but positive experiences at MB Bride. During my first dress shopping experience, at Alfred Angelo, I found a dress I loved. When I went to MB Bride, I told my consultant our goal was to beat that dress or that's the one I would go with. Sue was phenomenal. She helped me try on lots of different dresses. They even had the one I fell in love with at Alfred Angelo, and ultimately I did get it... but at MB Bride. It was cheaper there. I also had a great experience with the alterations department. They made the dress flawless and they were a joy to be around during the appointments. I was really pleased with the service.

MB Bride was fantastic!! I went there in January 11' for the Maggie Sottero trunk show- long story short ended up getting a different dress (Mori Lee). The designer didn't make it anymore so they offered me the floor sample (same size I was going to order anyway) for 70% off! The dress was in great shape considering it was a sample. The alterations dept. was amazing! Susan did wonders for my dress and made it fit like a glove on me! We purchased my veil there as well, it was a little pricey but worth it since it matched perfectly with my dress. The flower girl dress was gorgeous and they treated my neice so well. Overall my experience was great and would recommend it again to anyone, it's worth the travel!

I didn't have to deal with MB Bride too much. I bought the first dress that I tried on; my dress shopping experience wasn't stellar, and I felt as though I was a burden to the consultant that I dealt with, but I don't think she works there any longer, so it's nothing to be too concerned about. My dress arrived in a timely manner, and I had minimal alterations done but I thought the women in the alterations department were friendly and willing to help out with anything. All in all, a pleasant experience. Sometimes had some trouble getting phone calls returned (not from the alterations department, they always answered when I called), but a quick email would almost always get a response if the phone call didn't.

I purchased my dress at one of MB Bride's trunk sales. I was able to find a beautiful dress that fit me perfectly right off of the rack. The staff was friendly and courteous and the dress was great!
GUEST

I had the nicest wedding gown I have ever laid eyes on! The alterations were perfect along with the service. Only complaint is that the "alterations package" is a little misleading. Didnt realize cups were extra.
GUEST

MB Bride has very reasonable prices and great quality items! I loved my dress and jewelry! The bridesmaids dresses were amazing as well!
GUEST

My bridal consultant Kim was awesome to work with. I went during a trunk show for Maggie Sottero and got to try on many of her gowns until I found the "one!" It took about 6 months for my dress to come in and it was well worth the wait! Kim updated me with the status of my dress, bridesmaid dresses, and mothers dresses and was always there when I needed help with something. Don't hesitate when looking for a place to purchase your dress go to MB Bride and ask for Kim! :D

I had a wonderful experience with MB Bride. Not only did I find my wedding gown here, but also my bridesmaid dresses and headband. The consultants I worked with never rushed me or made me feel like I was wasting their time. The first time I went to try on gowns, I was there for 3 hours trying on dresses. My mom, aunt, cousin, and I went and got a bite to eat and then came back so my cousin could try on bridesmaid dresses. We were always welcomed back when I wanted to try on my dress to "make sure it was the one".I enjoyed everything about my experience with MB Bride and always recommend it to brides-to-be.

I had a wonderful experience with MB Bride. I went to about 4 other dress shops and was not treated as well as I was at MB. I didn't buy by dress the first day I tried it on, because I had 4 that I liked. When I called to make a 2nd appointment to try on my 4 choices again, my original consultant made a special trip into work on her day off to help me. My dress came in perfect shape in only about 4 months. The seamstresses were very helpful and did a wonderful job at altering my dress. In addition to my dress, I also purchased my veil and tiara at MB. The consultants that I worked with when choosing my accessories were both knowledgeable and helpful. One of my bridesmaids also purchased her dress there and she had no problems with ordering it or getting it altered. I was very happy with MB Bride.

I had such a wonderful experience here. I went to a chain bridal shop and did not enjoy the process at all. This was our second stop and I can't say enough about how great they were. When we were contemplating moving our wedding up 6 months because of an ill family member, they called the dress company to rush the order so it would be in in time. They went out of their way for me. My dress was the most gorgeous dress ever and the people that work there are great.
GUEST

I bought my dress from them a year before my wedding. There was a wide variety of dress styles and prices, there is something there for all brides. The seamstresses were great and did a superb job during my dress fittings.
GUEST

My consultant, Chelsea, was awesome!!! I was there for about 3 hours and I tried on a ton of dresses. My dress came in earlier than expected and they called immediately. I also got my veil and jewelry here. My alterations and everything was done correctly the first time. The only issue was the alterations on the bridesmaids' dresses. Two of the girls didn't get the best fit for their dresses; they did bring this up and the situation was remedied.
GUEST

I would recommend these ladies to any new bride! Their selection is outstanding and can fit any woman at any price point! My dress was perfect in every way. My only recommendation is that you need to schedule all your appointments way in advance. They say on the website that you can just walk in but their staff is booked all day long and with out an appointment it is hard to find help. But when you do have an appoitment there are no worries. Go here!
GUEST

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at MB Bride. They are tucked away in Greensburg, PA, but worth the drive. They have a huge selection of a wide variety of designers. The consultants are friendly, easy to work with, and not pushy at all!
GUEST

MB was a drive from my home, but the travel time was definitely made up for in selection. They carry all the major designers. I found my dress on the first try. They have great payment options, and include alterations in the upfront cost, so there aren't any surprises. My bridesmaids and groomsmen purchased their attire there too. Everything arrived on time. My dress fit like a glove.

Got a great deal on my dress from MB Bride. I was nervous based on some other previous not so great reviews, but if you are looking for getting good quality dresses for a great price - they are your place! They have some amazing dresses for great deals! I live in Maryland, so I didn't get any alterations done in the store. I bought my dress from the samples, so luckily I was able to take it out of state with me the same day. We got our own huge, private fitting room with a three way mirrors which was nice (which some larger bridal stores don't offer the same privacy). We went to one other large bridal store where the brides had to dress practically in front of everyone bc their fitting rooms had no mirrors, so they had to come out in front of crowds of people to see themselves or show family. Luckily MB allows much more of a private, relaxed experience and less chaotic atmosphere for brides and their families. I really liked the saleperson that helped me; however, towards the end the other sales girls who didn't seem quite as nice were rushing for her to hurry up with us because there was another appointment that came in. Felt a bit rushed in the end, but luckily I knew which dress I wanted - so all in all great experience
GUEST

I chose MB Bride for my bridal gown and bridesmaid gowns. My personal experience with this business was very positive. The employees were very friendly and helpful. My alterations were perfect. I was very pleased. Most of my bridesmaids were very pleased as well, but two of them had some problems with their dress sizes once the dresses arrived. It seems that the measurements that MB Bride uses does not account for rib cage size, and so two of my girls ended up with dresses that weren't even close to fitting. Unfortunately, MB Bride could not help them. Thankfully, they were able to trade dresses and have alterations done elsewhere to fix the problem.
GUEST

I ordered my bridal gown from MB bride. They were friendly and professional. They werent pushy like most places that I had looked for a dress. They helped me pick out dresses and didnt rush me along. Alterations were easy and well done. Everything went as smoothly as a bride can hope for. THANKS MB Bride
GUEST

I got an amazing, beautiful dress at a terrific price! I had been cheated by a previous dress vendor and was looking for a new dress in a hurry - I also wanted something I could take home with me to avoid having the same no-show problem I had had with a previous vendor. I looked at MB's sale rack and found a $1400 dress marked down to $200! They also fixed a couple small snags in it for free. They have an excellent fitting room and very knowledgeable, professional staff. The only thing that bothered me was that they kept contacting me between visits asking when I'd be back (they work on commission). Overall though I was very pleased at the deal I got!
GUEST

MB Bride was the only place I went to try on gowns and I ended up ordering the first one I tried on! After ordering, I read some negative reviews about MB Bride and was concerned that the rest of my dealings with them wouldn't be as smooth as the first one was. But I was wrong. Everything went perfect! The girls at the front desk are not super friendly, but you don't really deal with them much. It is a very busy place, and I am guessing it is stressful working there and dealing with "bridezillas" on a daily basis! I would definitely recommend making an appointment in advance to try on gowns, especially on the weekends. I think maybe your personal experience at MB Bride depends on who you deal with. My consultant Linda was THE BEST and an absolute sweetheart. Every time we went into the store after that for fittings and whatnot, she always walked over to greet us and was great to deal with from start to finish!I had 2 different seamstresses throughout the fitting process, and both were super friendly, knowledgeable, and my dress ended up looking like it was made for me. They even let me decide if I wanted additional fittings prior to the wedding to make me feel comfortable that it was perfect. I wanted to leave a review because my experience was completely opposite of some of the negative reviewers, and I think it might be an unfair portrayal of the store.
GUEST

MB Bride was great to work with. There was a problem with a previous dress that I bought from a different vendor. Needless to say 1 week before my wedding i did not have a dress. The ladies at MB Bride helped me find a great dress and have it altered within 3 days. Would highly recommend
GUEST

Everything about MB Bride was fantastic, except that they forgot to attach the bussle clip to my dress. My mom had to pin me into it. They did attach it for free and preserve my dress for free after the fact to make up for it.
GUEST

Large selection of dresses, worked really well with scheduling, dress came in very quickly, very good price for my dress
GUEST

They have a great selection. I was lucky to get a dress that was on sale from the rack! Many to choose from!
GUEST

Highly Recomend. Huge selection, great prices. I brought in clippings from magazines and they had all but three of the gowns in store!! Very friendly!!

I went to mb and my consultant was rachael crosby. She was exceptional! She really gave me one on one attention and helped me find the one no matter how long it took. She made me feel comfortable and never rushed like I did at david's bridal where they don't even help you put the dress on or order without full pmt up front! I just never got to see her after my dress picking visit but everytime I went there the staff was friendly and more than accomodating. Their selection and price is amazing, however mother's dresses could stand to have more selections and size ranges. Who wans to order a dress you can't even get in to and can't get an idea what it looks like? The orders dept could be more responsive. I had to call to see when my dress was in. Alterations is sort of unflexible but very friendly! The only thing is I got the alterations package but still had fees added. The bustling I expected but she altered my bra without consent and it wasn't even sticking out and then added 50.00 for it to my bill and I felt like my dress bodice was barely altered. It felt like they tried to fix other things rather than do the beading to make it fit like it should've. The dress still looked beautiful but I still found myself playing with the bodice all night cuz she just didn't make it truly fit. That kind of sucked but other than that
GUEST

My consultant Nikki was absolutely amazing. She had to put up with my pickiness, and I ended up with a beautiful dress. I really like that you can pay for the alterations as a package price, so there aren't any surprises. You get to look through the racks for yourself, instead of the wasting time on just looking at pictures or having the consult just pull things she think you'd like. I ended up getting my dress here, all of my bridesmaids dresses, and my mom's dress. I live in Michigan, and they were fine working around my schedule for coming down for fittings. If I had to do it all over again, I'd still stick with Nikki!
GUEST

They had a huge selection of bridesmaid dresses and were very flexible with colors. I had a hard time finding something I liked it yellow but they had a bunch.
GUEST

I purchased my veil, necklace, and earrings from MB Bride. Overall I was happy with the experience. Although I did not purchase my dress here, they had my dress in stock so I was able to try it on with the accessories I purchased. They seem to have a nice selection of dresses, jewelry, and veils!

MB Bride was a great place to go b/c they have trunk shows and I truly recommend a trunk show if you know which designer you really like. They were also easy to work with.

I ordered my gown as my mom ordered her dress from MB Bride. The staff was helpful and did a good job taking our measurements, etc. I did take a star off because no one ever called me when our gowns arrived. It would have been a nice touch to complete the customer service.

Initially I was very worried about being able to find a dress that I liked in time for my wedding because I began looking only three months before my wedding date. Most of the stores I went to told me that it was almost impossible to find a dress, get it ordered and have it altered all in three months. Naturally I was panicked! The ladies at MB Bride were so nice and were willing to work extra hard to get me the dress that I wanted. I fell in love with a Maggie Sottero gown on my first visit to their store, so they called around to different warehouses to see if anyone had my size. Unfortunately the closest one was somewhere in Europe and they estimated eight weeks for shipping. I paid to expedite the order and they received the dress in just under three weeks. The seamstress that I worked with was so kind and skilled. Mine was a winter wedding which is their slower season, so she was able to devote a lot of time to getting my dress altered just right. The work she did was phenomenal and I was so pleased. The dress fit like a dream and was ready in plenty of time for me to travel to Texas for my wedding. I only gave MB Bride four stars for one reason: my dress was to have come with a detachable flower on the front, but when they received the dress from the warehouse, the flower was missing. I had them call about it several times, but no one could seem to get a clear answer on whether or not it could get to me in time for my wedding. I received the flower three days before my wedding, but when I opened the package, the flower had fallen apart and couldn’t be used. The dress was beautiful even without the flower, but I paid a great deal for the dress, so I expected to get everything I was paying for in perfect condition.

I LOVED my dress. Whenever you go you need to be prepared for an exhausting experience as there are usually many brides and bridesmaids there (some without appointments). The seamstress was great and did a fantastic job. I was very pleased with my dress.

I would recommend MB Bride for their large selection. I did browse in other stores and did not find the variety of designers that MB Bride has. I had an excellent consultant, named Kim, GREAT to work with! She let me pick out some dresses on my own and none of them were what I thought when I put them on, so she brought in some after listening to what I was looking for and that's when I found it. I loved this dress, although it was a bit more than I planned on spending, it was a different designer that I later learned only MB Bride carries this line in all of PA!! I did find great jewelry, head pieces, and shoes all on great sales. I did go back a few times with my BM and it was hit or miss as far as the crowds go. If you can avoid weekends and prom time, do so. They are so busy, it will turn into a long day of waiting. Also, even though you have an appointment does not mean you are going to get service at that time. If you don't have an appointment on a busy day forget about getting service. I did run into a slight problem when I went to pick up one of the BM dresses, it was supposed to be pressed and ready and was not-- I had to sit and wait half an hour for it. Then when I went to get my dress two days before my wedding, my dress wasn't pressed, my Mom and I had to go kill an hour and a half which pushed all of the other errands back farther. Each time this happened, they made me feel like it was my fault when they were the ones who called me or gave me a pick up slip. They are very hard to get ahold of on the phone and take a few days to return calls. Also, the seamstresses all do things differently so if you are getting any alterations for the BM I would try to request that they see the same seamstress. Overall, I would go back there and would recommend it to future brides. Most of the other shops I was in seemed to be just as busy and had rude employees. MB Bride was always busy, but at least the employees were generally helpful and it is worth it for the selection of bridal gowns and BM dresses.

MB Bride was my first and only stop looking for wedding dresses, on my first trip it was the fifth dress I tried on and knew I wanted to look nowhere else. After ordering my dress, I was a little disappointed with the 'sales' team, they just seemed like after they rec'd the money I wasnt really important- in particular one girl that I dealt with a few times, she was always very short, rude and seemed like she could care less about my questions or concerns. I was however VERY happy with the alterations department- I dealt with Brooke and she was one of the sweetest girls and very amazing! There was one mishap that did happen with the alterations that really ticked me off however, I made an appt for my second dress fitting with Brooke and she said if I needed to change it just call and let her know- so something happend that I had to change my appt, so I called and spoke to someone other than Brooke and changed the appt to an earlier date, and they said ok we will let her know, well the day of my 'new' appt or what I thought was my new appt, I rec'd a call from Brooke stating no one ever told her that the appt was changed, she was very apoligetic and felt horrible about it! I live about 45 min away from the store so luckily they called me early enough that I hadn't already left but make sure if you do need to change an appt you actually talk to that person you're scheduled with! So after my third and final fitting I was told that I can come pick up all the girls dresses week of the wedding- So I went in the Wednesday before the wedding to pick up all 3 dresses and the same girl I had previous problems with gave me attitude yet again- I told her I was there to pick up my wedding dress and my girls dresses and she gave me attitude as to if I was even allowed to be picking them up! I really dont know if I would recommend them to anyone because it just seemed to me that after you ordered your dress and they have your money they really could care less about giving you good customer service!

I loved my dress...however the staff could have been more helpful!

I purchased my bridal gown at MB and I cannot rave enough about my consultant -- she was wonderful; patient, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable about all the dresses. My seamstress was also an absolute gem -- she could not have treated me or my gown with more love. \r\n\r\nI would give MB a better rating based solely on their expertise and service, BUT, I\'ve had some issues with the company after the fact...the staff who schedule alterations and those working at the front desk seem to have little interest in customer service. I never felt like I knew what I needed to bring with me for appointments, how many fittings I would need, when I would take the dress home with me, how far in advance I should plan to start the alterations, etc...in other words, all the things a really stressed out bride wants to know about her wedding dress buying process. The individuals with whom I worked were really wonderful, but the customer service as a whole was super lacking.\r\n
Vendor response to review
Dear Jessica,We are sorry we did not live up to your expectations. We do, however, have a folder of information that answers every single issue that you did not know about. It has been very well received by our brides. Unfortunately, you must not have gotten one or maybe forgot about it.

Agree with most reviews. It is a hit or miss place. When I was there for a friends wedding the staff was nasty. When we went for my wedding the people we worked with were very pleasent and helpful. I got my dress there and it was very inexpessive
GUEST

We ordered most of the bridesmaid dresses at once, but one bridesmaid had to do it via telephone since she lived out of state. Though she called and gave her measurements, they did not tell her that she had to put down a downpayment at the time. Because of this, and since I'd wanted all dresses ordered at the same time, none of the dresses were ordered . . . and 2 months before the wedding . . . when I'd called to if the dresses were in, I found I'd they'd never even been ordered!!! We got them in time but would not have if I'd not called that day.
GUEST

It's hit and miss here, and hard to judge because you will work with more than one person. My bridal specialist, who helped me find the dress was fine. Not overly personable, but I found a dress and that was that. The woman who did my alterations was very sweet. I'm not from the area so it was also a little difficult to get there (that's my fault of course). But somehow I ended up having to make like 6 trips there. One trip they made me come in just to check that the dress was mine and that was it! They told me I would have to call the next day to schedule an alteration appt, which I would have to drive back down for. On my second to last appt, I was supposed to take the dress home after alterations, but my alterations weren't done, so I had to come back. I feel I got my dress for a good price but there are alot of things there that are overpriced. Also, they also just seem way to busy to answer the phones or even wait on you. Hire more people, if so.
GUEST

I am not the type of person who likes to try things on so looking for a wedding dress was NOT fun for me. I went to MB bride ONLY and found my dress on the first day. I loved it everyday after I tried it on and on my wedding day as well. I had the best service with their alterations department and although the front desk is generally slow and busy it was a good experience. All my bridesmaids also got their dresses at MB bride and they were so helpful finding me two types of dresses that flattered all my girls.. .but looked so similar no one even noticed on my wedding day. I have been to other franchise stores with a friend who is getting married and did not recieve the same attention that I did at MB! It was great
GUEST

We ordered bridesmaid dresses and mother of bride dress, as well as cake topper. Everyone was nice and helpful while shopping. The only complaint was that we were never phoned when any of our orders were in. We had to phone, and then we were always told that the item came in the week before, etc.
GUEST

I bought my wedding dress and all my bridesmaids dresses at MB Bride. I had wonderful service from their consultant Amy...request her if you can. I had no problems, all bridesmaids dresses came in on time and in the right sizes. I had my dress alteration there and that went smoothly as well. The "issue" i can say is that when i went to pick up my dress they were noy very happy i wanted to try it on. I am the bride and i needed to make sure that is fit after the final alterations they did. But overall good service...i would recommend.

MB Bride has a ton of dresses at a reasonable price so they are certainly worth checking out for that. Their ordering department is not responsive - they never call you back if you leave a message and they don't keep you updated on the delivery date. I called a couple times and finally found out that instead of the beginning of May, my dress would be in at the end of May. Luckily I still had plenty of time at that point, but it would have been nice had they called to tell me a delivery date earlier on in the process. As someone who no longer lives in the area, their alterations department was also not very flexible. I originally was assigned to a seamstress who only worked on Wednesday nights. Luckily I was reassigned and the second seamstress was amazing. When I came in for my second fitting, the first seamstress had done the bustle incorrectly. The second seamstress was very flexible and was able to redo the bustle in one day because I was only in for the weekend. Overall, I'd say if you are looking for quality dresses without breaking the bank, MB Bride is definitely worth it. They might take a little micromanaging - which can be annoying and is certainly not what you need when you are managing a team of other vendors - but they will make it right by you and you'll save a bundle over other stores. Check it out but make sure you know what you are getting into.

I really loved my wedding dress. It was a dream to wear it and I love how my pictures turned out. When I went in to try on dresses at MB, the woman I worked with was really great. She helped me find my dream dress and accessories. After I purchased the dress, it was very difficult to get ahold of someone to answer my questions on the phone. I also had difficulties getting alterations done and getting my girls taken care of. It was a huge hassle to get everything finished and caused me a great deal of undue stress. In the end, everything turned out ok, but I'm not sure the hassle was really worth it. I'd say, if you can find your dream dress somewhere else, do it.
GUEST

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, it was always busy and I found myself feeling bad for bothering the staff. Many of the girls working there were young. On the other, I loved the dresses we found and there was a wide variety of brands and styles to choose from. They were also pretty affordable. You could pay a little extra to get free alterations, but I wouldn't recommend it. My bridesmaids who went elsewhere had a much better job done on their dresses, specifically in the bust area. The dresses didn't take all that long to come in, although they did mess up one of the shoe orders. We still received the shoes on time though. A little chaotic for 5 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, and 2 flower girls, but everything came together just fine.

It is very hit or miss here and it depends on who you are working with. My bridal consultant (Alicia, though that's not how she spells her name) was wonderful. Very personable and helpful. With her help we were able to find my dream dress. (Would rate her all 5!)Alterations.. that's another story. The dress had a lot of beading and lace and was able to be taken in 2" on each side and still looked great. They preserved the look of the dress completely! For the bustle - It took a lot of trying but I was able to get what I want. At first, the lady (she is foreign, I do not remember her name) did not listen to anything I said and refused to do anything but a french bustle which looked AWFUL with my dress. I had to call the next day and got an appointment with the manager. I had three more fittings and had to bring in instructions printed from the internet on how to do the bustle I wanted ("Train flip" bustle). The manager, up until the last fitting, was not sure if it was going to work. I'm sure it was difficult for her and not an easy alteration, but she did make it work. At my wedding my dress and bustle looked absolutely perfect. I only wish I did not have to deal with the other lady at all. Beware for Bridesmaid dresses that if you tell them you have 5 bridesmaids, they will not place the order until all 5 have paid their deposit and been measured! So if you have one girl who is slacking, it will hold up the order for everyone else as well. You have to tell them if someone is buying a dress elsewhere or they won't order the other dresses thinking this one person still needs to order.

I LOVED my dress. It was my favorite thing about my wedding!!! Ha. I am glad I went to MB to look, however I did have some problems with them as time went on. I live an hour away and once got a phone call that the BM dresses were in, we drove all the way down there and they had no idea what I was talking about. I still had the message stating they were in, but was made to feel like it was all my fault. It was a little ridiculous. Atso, They ordered me things that I did not want and sometimes were out of control on Saturdays! I would recommend going on a weekday. Overall, if I did not go there I would have never found my dress so I am very happy that I did.

I bought my dress at MB as well as my bridesmaid dresses. They were very affordable compared to other places. I would however recommend getting alterations done elsewhere, or go on a weekday, the weekend is just way too insane people everywhere and things can't be organized right. I was also a little irritated when my bridesmaid told me the woman doing her alterations got a little snippy with how much she had to take the dress in because of how much weight she had lost. You are not suppost to pay for a service and get treated in that manner. So with that said alterations can be done elsewhere!

We purchased our bridesmaids gowns from MB Bride. The sales assistant who worked with us was nice, but she was new and was unable to answer many of our questions without consulting another sales associate (this took a lot of time!). While we do not fault the sales assistant for not knowing everything, it perhaps may have been better for MB Bride to train their sales assistants better beforehand. In addition, MB Bride insisted that one bridesmaid needed her dress in a larger size, regardless that the bridesmaid had tried on the dress in the smaller size and it fit. As a result, that bridesmaid had to pay additional money to have her dress substantially taken in. Finally, we ordered (and put in the credit card payment for!) a flower girl dress that they said they could order, but couldn't. Only when we called to check on the status of the bridesmaids's dresses did they reveal to us that they could no longer order the flower girl dress and would refund our money. Overall the experience with MB Bride was chaotic and given the option again we would purchase the bridesmaids' dresses elsewhere.

I got my wedding dress at MB and my consultant was very helpful. I ended up getting my dress on Clearance so the price was perfect. As soon as I told her I was buying the dress it was like race to get my money. My complaints with MB are that it was very chaotic and they pay more attention to the bride than anyone else in the bridal party. My mom wanted to try on a dress and the lady told her that she would have to take the dress off of display by herself and then never offered to help her or asked if she needed anything. I was very happy that I found my dress and for so cheap but overall I was disappointed with our experience there.

Overall, my experience with MB Bride was nothing special. I drove 1.5 hours from the South Hills of Pittsburgh to Greensburg specifically because they were tops in service and stock. Yes, they have tons of selection, and i was very happy they allowed my mom and bridesmaids to take pictures of the gowns to help us decide, but the customer service is lacking. We had difficulty getting the bridesmaid dresses to the store in time for the fittings, but in the end they were able to accommodate the schedule we had agreed to four months prior. In the end, the dress was pretty, the alterations were good (though the bustle looked nothing like what the seamstress had originally designed) and I had the wedding dress one week prior to my wedding.

I initially selected this location (although quite far from me) because it had a large selection of plus-sized dresses. My first visit, wherein I selected my gown, was great. I found what I wanted, I ordered it, and I eagerly anticipated its arrival. My seamstress, Jill was very professional and personable. I even recommended two friends, who were also getting married, purchase their dresses their (and they did). My subsequent visits and calls were less than stellar. While i had NO problems with my dress, my bridemaids and mother were another story. One of my three bridesmaids dresses was hemmed completely differently than the other two and, because we did not find out until the last minute, it was too late to fix. When my maid of honor went for a fitting, her seamstress (not Jill) was rude and even raised her voice at my MOH in front of my MOH's small child. My mother, who also purchased her dress there, found out WELL after ordering it that it was being shipped from overseas and would not be there until the day before the wedding (this was after having paid for the dress and waited for it, mind you). Communication was difficult and it often took several calls to get a straight answer. After one of my bridesmaids complained to the owner and demanded compensation for my troubles (which embarassed me, of course), they gave me a free wedding gown preservation kit and sent me on my way. So yes, it was a mixed experience.

I bought my dress from this vendor. They had the greatest selection of wedding dresses and I found my dream dress. However, the service was horrible. I was not get treated like a bride. I was treated like a teenager shopping for a prom dress. Everytime I went there I had an appointment (I traveled 3 hours to get their each time) but ended up waiting, having to find my own dresses, and basically was ignored. I ended up using a local seamstress because I was so disappointed with thier service that I did not want to press my luck by having them alter my dress.
GUEST

I was really disappointed with their service. We made an appointment and still had to wait for hours to get someone's undivided attention. We only ended up buying a flower girl outfit off the rack.

I loved my gown and got it for a wonderful price and the girl that helped me was very nice and helpful. The next time I went back was to pick out the bridesmaid dresses and with my one bridemaid being pregnant with twins we really needed help. We were pretty much the only people in the store and they would not pull dresses off the racks for us. The one lady kept trying to get us to buy a dress from a website that was 300 dollars! They had my papers sitting on the counter I was standing infront of and it had rude comments written on it then the two consultants were talkiing amongst themselves and the one said to do whatever to just get the bride the hell outta here!!!!! I also ordered my veil from them and I ordered it in febuary I called a week in May and the lady told me it would be here over the weekend. I knew I was going there to look at Bridesmaid dresses in a few weeks so I waited until then to pick it up. When we got there they said it still has never come in. It took over 4 months for a simple veil to come in! It didnt even take that long for my girls dresses! I will never go back to MB Bride!! Never again!

I went to MB Bride for my dress since they have the largest selection in the Pittsburgh area. However, I highly recommend that you find the dress you like there then order it from another boutique. The service at MB Bride is horrible! First of all, the mother of the bride dresses that they have to try on only go up to size eight. Most of the dresses are around three hundred dollars and neither my mother nor the groom's mother could actually try a dress on before purchasing it. My mother, who stands at 5' was not told that her dress doesn't come in a petite and therefore the dress was much too long and the the beautiful bead work at the tail either had to be cut off or bustled in a very unattractive way. They ordered all of my bridesmaids dresses at least one to two sizes too big, forcing all of them to have to pay an extra $89-$100 for unneeded tailoring. When my bridesmaid from out of town went to pick her dress up four days before the Jan 2 wedding (they are closed the days before and the day of) the had taken her dress in so much that she couldn't even zip it! She had to stay at the store all day as they fixed it.My dress was a tad too tight when I went to pick it up and they suggested inserting panels. But when the second seamstress came in and pulled the dress into the right fitting it fit nearly perfect. However when they bustled it it was crooked and had to be fixed. The Groom's mother's dress was also sewn crooked and had to be resown again. My mother who is disabled bought a pair of shoes from them, but again had to buy without trying on since they only have one or two shoe sizes or none at all for the shoes they sell. When they came in they did not fit and she wanted to return them. they made a federal case out of returning thirty dollar shoes and made her feel horrible about it but did finally take the shoes back. She then bought shoes else where to accommodate for the arthritis in her foot and wanted them dyed there to match the dress. they already told us they had dye ready for the shoes she had bought from them. They said they would not dye her shoes because they weren't from there. I am out of room otherwise, i could tell you much more about the poor quality of service at MB Bride. Overall, horrible experience and wish I had not gone there.

Great selection but they need more staff. We never got great customer service.

Although MB Bride was quite a drive for me (over 45 minutes) I originally selected this location because of their large selection of dresses. I found "the dress" during my first visit, but went to several other local bridal salons just to be sure. Nothing else compared, so I found myself back at MB Bride a few weeks later to order my dress.During my first visit, everything went so smoothly. My consultant was incredibly attentive and helpful. If it weren't for her, I never would have found my dress. She was great to work with, but a few months later she took a pregnancy leave. From that point forward, I was bounced around to several other consultants... and none of them seemed to know what they were doing. I went back in January to pick out bridesmaid dresses, and the staff was less than helpful. No one was around to help us choose dresses or to put us in a dressing room. It took a few visits but we finally selected the bridesmaid dresses. My MOH placed her order over the phone because she was out of town and was measured at a local seamstress, and MB Bride ordered the wrong dress size for her.The wrong color veil was ordered for me, and the sales consultant tried to place the blame on me even though I was holding the original receipt with the *correct* item on it!When the BM dresses arrived, I went with two of my BMs to try their dresses on. I wanted to try my dress on while we were there, too, so I called and booked an appointment for the three of us. I called that morning to confirm the appointments, but when we arrived that afternoon there was no dressing room available for us and no record of me ever making an appointment. I was absolutely livid and certainly let them know about it!To top it off, I had SEVEN fittings. I had lost a good bit of weight since I had ordered my dress, and it was a little bit loose in the weeks before my wedding. At my first fitting, everything was fine. When I went back a week later, my dress was so snug I could hardly breathe. At my third fitting, my dress was even tighter and I wasn't able to sit down. The head seamstress took my measurements to compare them to my original ones, and they proved that I had lost several inches in all three of my measurements. They couldn't offer me any explanation, and I was actually took to loose some weight!!! At my fourth fitting, after having lost another 5lbs, my dress was suddenly too big. The same happened at my 5th and 6th fitting. I had to have my dress hemmed 5 times and taken in twice -- AFTER it was mysteriously too small!! It was absolutely absurd, and no one had any explanation for me whatsoever. I would never, EVER do business with them again.

As the owner, I would like to apologize for any inconveniences you had. We are often very, very busy and could use more space for fittings and appointments at certain times of the year. You were losing a lot of weight apparently quite rapidly -- congratulations. When it comes to doing alterations on someone who is either gaining or losing a lot of weight, it is like trying to hit a moving object.I am surprised that it took seven fittings in that we really should have waited till the last minute before your wedding to fit your dress. That is standard procedure because doing any alterations while you are losing weight is pretty much a waste of time. I can only think that you did not inform us that you intended to keep losing weight all the way up to the wedding, or that you wanted us to do the alterations before the wedding so that it wouldn't be last minute, or that your weight loss was unexpected. Thus we kept altering your dress thinking that you were done losing weight. We don't like doing seven fittings any more than you do.It is entirely possible that you gained a couple of pounds at some point thus making your gown snug. With some people, coming in after eating a big meal will change their measurements enough to make a dress snug in certain areas. Formalwear is form fitting and anything that changes the form like a big meal will change the fit.I don't know why you would be surprised that your dress would be too big after your 4th, 5th, and 6th fittings if you lost 5lbs between each fitting. That would be expected.I think we went to great lengths to accommadate your weight loss and situation.

As far as my wedding dress goes, MB Bride was great. I found a great dress for a reasonable price and they did all the alterations for me. However, their service with my bridesmaids' dresses was TERRIBLE. They advised three of my bridesmaids to order a smaller size, and when they arrived, they were too small. Extra fabric had to be ordered and sewn into two of the dresses, and they charged the girls close to $100 extra to do this. We called to see if there was anything they could do to lower the price and they would not budge and insisted on telling us it was the bridesmaids' fault because they could have gone with a larger size. I was very unhappy with that service and would not recommend them to anyone.

I went to MB Bride twice during my search for a dress. My first visit was a positive experience. Terri, my consultant, managed to get closer and closer to what I wanted, but I eventually was so overwhelmed that I knew I needed to step back and regroup. I returned during a Maggie Sottero trunk show and started out with Terri again. Partway through my appointment, she was called away due to a family emergency, and I was left in the dressing room for almost 40 minutes before anyone bothered to tell me that she had left. I basically had to start the appointment over again with a new consultant, who didn’t listen at all to my requests: asymmetrical detailing, no dropped waist, fairly lightweight. The consultant kept bringing me everything except what I wanted, and my friend who came with me was the one who ended up pulling my dress. And then, I went back another three times before they managed to order the correct size, with each trip entailing a 1.5-hour round-trip car ride and a minimum 30-minute wait at the store. On attempt #1, they had ordered an 8, and when it was too small, their staff accused me of having gained weight. I told them to measure me again – the numbers were no different from when I ordered the dress. On attempt #2, they ordered a 12, which basically fell off of my body. On trip #3, they finally managed to order the correct size 10. Rather than being offered a discount, to make up for the two times I had unnecessarily visited store, I had to ask for one, and was given a minimal discount and told that the manager would call me. A month later, when I hadn’t received a phone call, I called and the manager told me that I would be provided with an additional refund. I never received the check. Overall, their selection is fantastic, but I would never recommend to anyone that they buy a dress from MB Bride.

First off, I live an hour from this store , but went there because of there selection. I found th dressof my dreams the first visit and also found the bridal partys dresses there. I ordered mine and the MOH dress that day. My mother also found her dress there. When it came to calling the store with questions it was always an voicemail. Of course, my calls were never returned!!! When it came time for alterations my sisters and moms were screwed up and we had to get the manager involved. My sister made 3 trips up from Virginia to get it right!! I actually ordered my 2 other bridesmaids dresses from a totally different store a month later and they came in befoe my maid of honors which was order from mb bride first. I would not go back there. It's not worth the rude staff or the hassles!!!

MB Bride has a wide selection of dresses, but their professionalism and service is horrible. 1 - I was measured as a size 4 everywhere but my bust which I was over by only a small amount. Rather than speaking with the seamstress, the sales associate ordered me a size 8. When the dress came in it was absolutely huge and required a large amount of alterations. The seamstress complained about the fact that such a large size was ordered. 2- I brought 2 bridesmaids with me to help select bridesmaids dresses. It was an absolute mess - the sales associate helping us made it very clear that she was more interested in a sale than a happy customer. I bought my veil at the same time and two sales associates fought in front of us regarding who made the sale - then they tried to involve my mother and wanted her to speak to the manager! 3- Through out the alterations process, I had 3 different seamstresses, none of whom knew what the last one had done - quite frustrating! 4- I lived far from MB Bride and made it very clear that when I picked my dress up at 11 am the day before my wedding, it needed to be completely ready - fully pressed ready to go as I had a ton of errands to run. When I arrived at 11am, the dress was a ball of wrinkles - I had to wait an hour and a half while it was pressed! Wasted time! The woman was apologetic, but I called twice to confirm that my dress was being pressed the night before and ready when I arrived.

My advice: DON'T SHOP HERE!!! One mistake after another. MB's responce..We're human. Wanted to talk to the owner: MB's responce...she just stepped out, she will return your call. Doesn't return call...I call back... shes away from her desk... I wait call back...she left for the day, this took place over a coulple of days. She finally calls back Monday morning and tells me she just returned ( was out of town ). Wow..who is telling the truth??? She decides to compensate me $20 for a comment made by an employee. Surprise! I'm still waiting. This nightmare all began when I had not heard from them and the deadlinefor my dress had come and gone. I called them...their responce..Oh we were trying to get ahold of you, we have a wrong # for you ( yes they are only human) my email was wrong too. An assistant manager later told me that they were "getting ready" to send out a letter. Could they not find a piece of paper? I also recall the girl taking my info that day, ordering here fish for the upcoming Easter holiday at the same time. Also a HUGE mistake was made by MB when shipping my dress off to the place of the wedding. They sent it to MY HOME instead. I had been tracking this, and contacted MB to fix the problem. A few days later the dress was stalled because of an "address problem". This whole process stretched over a week. MB's reponce was to put the blame on UPS. And Mya, the owner, had the nerve to tell me it cost them $ to have the UPS driver go onto the truck and change the address. WHAT!! Who sent it to the wrong address in the first place!! If you want to have a nice experience, go elsewhere. The only thing MB can do right is take yor $. When confronted on their care for their customers, they will tell you they care. Actions speak louder than words.

DO NOT GO HERE. It was always chaos every time I went. They are not adequately staffed. They messed up every single one of my 8 bridesmaids dresses. Each girls alterations were wrong. Sloppy work, don't care about you only your money.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! To make a very long story short they: 1. Lost my dress six weeks before my wedding and didn't tell me until I arrived for my first fitting. 2. Offered to let me pick any dress in the store as a replacement3. I found one that fit off of the rack and they fitted me for it promising that it would be ready for a second fitting in two weeks. 4. The owner calls me two hours after I leave the store and states that the dress that I picked (and that she okay-ed) was too expensive to be a replacement and they wouldn't give it to me. 5. They then avoided all of my calls, my fiances calls, and my parents calls for a week stating that the owner just stepped out. 6. Only responded when I had my attorney (also my fiance, though they didn't know that;)) call and threaten to sue for multiple breaches of contracts. I did end up getting my dress but was basically afraid that they were going to do something to get back at me and my stomach was in knots the whole time that they were in possession of my dress and the bridesmaids dresses. The only reason I even gave them a 1 is because of the lovely ladies in the alterations department. The rest of the staff is rude and dismissive. Before one of my fittings there I was maid to wait at the front desk for 15 minutes (in a virtually empty store) while three sales girls gossiped and hit on a groom in the tuxedo area. Once again... DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

Let me start by saying that I loved my bridal gown. It took some serious time and effort to get it right, but it finally was made right no thanks to MB Bride. The first dress they ordered came in a mess (improperly put together, coloration problems, etc.). I had to beg them to order me a new one even though my wedding was more than a year away. The staff also ordered the wrong color bridesmaid dresses (yes, I carefully read their paperwork before ordering). They had mistakenly shown me two swatches together (and underskirt material and an overlay) that apparently do not actually come together. When the bridesmaid dresses arrived, they were about five shades too light and did not match anything that had already been purchased for the wedding. MB Bride adamantly refused to send the dresses back stating that they could not guarantee that new dresses would be in in time for the wedding. I called the manufacturer of the dress and explained the situation. They told me that they most certainly could make new dresses in time and that I just had to have MB Bride return the old dresses ASAP because they felt that it was an oversight error on their part. When I relayed this information to MB Bride, they were more concerned with finding out who exactly I'd spoken to in New York because they were going to be sure to have her fired! Furthermore, while I was picking up dresses one afternoon, I overhead one of MB Bride's managers, Jennifer, berating and then mocking a customer who had called to complain. She did so right out on the floor so that me and several other patrons could easily hear her. In my opinion, this is absolutely appalling behavior. Ultimately, I was stuck with bridesmaid dresses that were totally not the right color, and while I realize that in the grand scheme of things, it isn't that big of a deal, I'm still deeply disappointed with how things were handled and turned out. I WOULD NOT recommend MB Bride to anyone.
Vendor response to review
As the owner, I would like to apologize for any inconveniences you experienced at our store. As a family owned store, we take any complaint seriously, and try to learn to do things better. Luckily we really don't get many complaints for the amount of business we do so we can look into them personally.I believe we fixed the situation with your bridal gown. Rarely is there a problem with fit and finish but we have no problem returning one so long as it is reasonable -- sometimes we are at the mercy of the designer but even then we do a lot of business with our designers and they will do things for us they won't do for other stores. Regarding your bridesmaids, which I know was really the issue to you, in your case, we were sent the wrong piece of swatch by the designer. This was a BIG mistake on their part and a mistake that we have no way preventing. We rely on our designers to be accurate as much as you do. When you called the designer yourself they told you that they could get dresses in time for your wedding. That would be right on their part -- except you are not realizing that the dresses were going to be the EXACT dresses (same color and dress style) that we already had in the store for your party! Since the dress does not come in the swatch color they incorrectly sent, we weren't refusing to get new dresses for you, just pointing out that any new dresses we would get would be exactly like the ones that we had already. We have had discussions with this designer about the swatch and have shown them (and our managers) your complaint. In the end you left seemingly happy with everything when all was done. Everything was seemed to be OK as far as we could tell. If you (or any customer of ours) has any problems at all we want to hear about them. That is how we have built our business. The other points in your review have been discussed with our associates. My wife and I want to thank you for your comments. Without them we cannot continually better our service.

DO NOT GO HERE. Great service until they get your money- then they are horrible. Rude, unprofessional, not helpful, and difficult. Had nothing but problems here. I spent over $2500 on bridesmaid gowns, flower girl, mother of the bride and it was all just ONE BIG HASSLE to them. Rude to every single one of my bridesmaids. They never called when my order came in... Gave me the run around when I would call looking for it... Had major issues when trying to order extra fabric for one of the bridesmaids who was pregnant. Save your frustration & go elsewhere!

Drove an hour and a half to get to this place and it was nothing but headache after headache. They had a better selection than any of the other bridal shops, but it is so not worth it. They are unorganized, unprofessional and incredibly ignorant. The sales person that helped me find the dress was fired a week later and with her went any reason to shop at this boutique. DO NOT GO TO MB BRIDE!

I ordered my wedding dress, BM dresses, and guys tuxes through MB Bride. First off it too 5 months for my dress to come in, and they never called me to tell me it or my BM dresses were in I had to call them! Then I go for my dress fitting a month before the wedding to find out they had ordered me the wrong dress! I was livid and yelling. The manager said, this is the dress on the order, (mind you they do it all by numbers so you don't know if it is correct or not) but the girl I had worked with who placed the order came up and said that was not the dress I had ordered. The manager didn't seem like she had time to deal with my very BIG issue, and the seamstress was more caring then the manager! They ended up getting me a dress that was a size too big and I had to have it altered down. When I went for my final fitting I had tons of beads missing, and I had to wait to have the seamstress sew new ones back on. One of my BM had fitting issues, and another had problems with alterations. My guys tuxes came in with parts that didn't fit. My father-in-law's shirt didn't fit and he was told they may not be able to get him one in time! They are very slow at answering calls and when I called about all my issues neither the owner or any other person working there would call me back! DO NOT GO TO MB BRIDE!!

The people in the store were extremely rude, and the young girls that work there are snobs. I made an appointment to pick up my dress after the alterations were done, and I go in and they tried to make me leave without looking at the dress. After I insisted that I see the dress, I noticed that no alterations were done. I had to sit and wait while they did the alterations very quickly, because there were so many other people waiting in line with other problems. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Do yourself a favor, and do not get your wedding dress or bridesmaids dresses from MB Bride. I had more issues than I ever imagined possible, and the staff was unresponsibe and unhelpful in helping me with any of them.

Let me start off by saying that a wedding day is the main day that most girls dream about all of their lives. It is suppose to be an exciting and fun time in your life, it is suppose to be the one day that is all about the bride. Now when I heard about planning weddings I knew from the start that stress would be an issue. However, I have NEVER heard of the main source of the stress coming from the bridal shop. When I first went to MB Bride in January 2007, it was a nice visit because I had a consultant named Amy helping me. She was wonderful to work with, and so pleasant to be around. Actually it was very misleading because if I would not of had her that day, I probably would have luckily been able to go somewhere else. Then again, all of their employees probably act like that at first before they start treating people like dirt since they are working for commission. Anyways I did not look anywhere else, and unfortunately I purchased my dress at MB Bride. Amy had told me that day that she would send me a piece of material in the mail so I would have it to start planning the rest of my wedding. Well as March comes around, I begin to worry because I have not received anything in the mail yet. I call the store to see what was going on; only to find out that the dress I picked out does not come in the color I picked. Since my wedding was in October and we needed to order all of the gowns by the end of March, that really would have been nice to know two months ago! I got over it really quick because I don't really think that is was entirely Amy's fault. So next thing I did was go back into the store to pick out a new bridesmaid gown. It was a nightmare to say the least. The employees would not help me; they acted like they had no time for me, and completely ignored me. I finally got the short, little girl with no personality whom I think is a manager to help me, and she was so rude. She made me feel like I was a big pain in the ass and that it was such a big hassle to pick out a new dress. I just wanted to scream that "IT WASN'T EVEN MY FAULT THAT I HAD TO PICK OUT A NEW DRESS!!!" It was awful, and I went home crying. Honestly, I think the fact that they made the store into a prom shop just takes away from the bridal shop and makes the employees more stressed. The next big issue was when I made an appointment to try the wedding dress that I picked out on again with some jewelry. My mom and I arrived at the store right on our appointment time. I informed someone at the desk that we were there and then we sat down to wait. As 30 minutes passed by, I began to notice that nobody even cared that we were waiting for help. I actually felt completely invisible, but here again same story, none of the employees had time for me. Not only did they not have time for me, but also again they were very rude about it as well. I must say that I am a registered nurse, and I know all about stress while working. Believe me I know what it feels like to have everyone wanting something at the same time, and I have NEVER in my career treated people the way their employees treated me. I wait till I go home to blow off steam, cry, or do whatever I need to do to relieve the stress of a hard day. Even after working a sixteen-hour shift in which I get very tired, I have never acted like that, and their employees should be ashamed of their selves. All that I wanted was a nice and relaxing time when I originally bought my gown because this was a big day in my life. Instead, I sighed at the thoughts of going into MB Bride for anything. One of the visits that I made to the store, I ran into Amy again. She was very nice once again, and It was because of her that I went with MB Bride for my tuxedos as well. Even though there was that problem with my bridesmaid dress color, I still say that she is by far their best employee. Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking when I got my tuxedos their, but I really wish I didn't because like everything else, there were problems. My husband got his dad, ring bear, groomsmen, and my two brothers together one Saturday afternoon to get fitted. Here again, it felt like we were rushed through the whole thing. I've never been with someone to get fitted for a tux so I am not really sure how things with that work. My husbands groomsmen, ring bear, father, and my two brothers were all in different colored vests and ties. The lady that was helping us wanted to get rid of us so bad, that she just flew through the whole thing. Since I have dealt with their employees before, I made sure I triple checked the entire order with her. Good thing I did this because she had everyone in a different color then what I wanted them in. When the tuxedos were available to pick up, the order was still wrong. Anyways, we were all informed that day that all of the guys had to come into the store the Thursday before the wedding to try on their tuxedos so if there was anything wrong, their employees would be able to fix it. Well, I am going to tell you right now, that every single guy (I'm not kidding) had something wrong, and whoever was helping them told them oh well there is nothing they can do. I wasn't there that day, so I can't say this from my own mouth, but they told me that the girls weren't even nice about it. (BIG SURPRISE) Why do they even ask for them to try their tuxedo's on if there is really nothing their going to fix???? It's a big waste of their time and ours, and we should be INFORMED of this prior to purchasing our tuxedos. There was even one groomsmen that his shoes did not fit him. That could have been resolved if there would have been sample shoes for them to try on. Next we go to my bridesmaids. The main problem with them was when they needed to get alterations. I would have thought that I would only have to tell one person in the alteration department on how I wanted the bridesmaid dresses to be, and then they would have that on file. No, that isn't how it worked, and it was so unorganized. My bridesmaids said that most of the employees were clueless on what EXACTLY to do, which caused extra trips for my bridesmaids. Their employees should have everything on file, and shouldn't be confused on what to do. Thank goodness that I didn't want to use the shawl that came with my bridesmaid dress because one of my girls said that she never even received one! Wanda, however was the one that did my alterations for my dress, and I just wanted to say that she was great to work with. She actually was like a breath of fresh air, and I am so glad that she was the one doing my alterations. She made me feel like a princess when I had my dress on, and my dress turned out beautiful! Now that is how I anticipated on being treated, she was wonderful. Lastly, I went with the free shoe deal for my bridesmaids, and there was even a problem with that. When my maid of honor went to pick up her shoes they were a size 8 and she ordered a size 6. From what she said, they told her that is was to late to order the right size, and basically they weren't willing to work with her at all. My opinion about that would be that the order should have been checked to make sure it was right instead of waiting until the very last minute. In conclusion, MB Bride has a huge selection of beautiful gowns to choose from. However, it caused me more stress then anything else did in regards to planning my wedding. If there is one thing that I would have changed about my wedding, I would have went somewhere different instead of MB Bride. I highly DO NOT recommend MB Bride for your wedding. However, my wedding was in 2007, so maybe things have changed? I doubt it.
