Melissa was amazing to work with - she was very professional before, during and after our wedding. She presnted ideas we never thought of.
Our photos are amazing and when our friends see them they always say they wish they would have known about Melissa for their wedding.

Melissa photographed our wedding a little over a month ago and our pictures are amazing!! She was great to work with from our first email contact until the night of our wedding! I don't think she took a break the night of our wedding. She photographed everything and we are so appreciative!!! I highly recommend Melissa!!

I met with at least a dozen photographers before a friend recommended Melissa. She totally understood what we were looking for and made me feel at ease since I am not comfortable having my picture taken. Needless to say the pictures were gorgeous and the best anyone has ever taken of me.

I have already referred Melissa to four of my girlfriends who have all booked her for their upcoming weddings. If you are looking for wedding photo's that are exceptional look no further.

Melissa photographed our wedding and the pictures are gorgeous! We are so happy with the variety of pictures and how she captured all the major moments of the day. She gave us enough direction so that the pictures looked pretty, but we did not look posed. Melissa is very responsive too, which any bride can appreciate! She was a pleasure to work with.

We were absolutely thrilled with the photos that Melissa took of our wedding. She has such a knack for capturing the sweetest details and the most meaningful moments. Melissa is very talented, thoughtful and an absolute dear person with whom to work. She recorded our wedding with such beauty and unique flair. We were so happy with Melissa’s coverage of my daughter’s wedding. She managed to get all of the required photos of family and friends, organizing them graciously and efficiently while getting the job done. She arrived early and somehow got around to the various sites at the venue for photos. She checked in with me and with the bride frequently to stay on schedule and ask if there were shots we wanted. This helped us remain confident so that we could put her out of our minds and enjoy the event. She handled the bride and groom wonderfully and they remained relaxed so they could have a wonderful time. She stayed pleasant and professional, as well as unobtrusive, throughout the ceremony and reception. We’d recommend her to anyone!

You were wonderful at the wedding…….thank you for being so gracious with everyone, yet getting the job done.

My husband and I liked Melissa the moment we met her. It was evident that she cared about her clients and wanted to provide an enjoyable, worry-free experience on their special day. Melissa truly captured the countless emotions that filled our wedding day. From the bridal party "getting ready" photos to the family photo shoot and of course, the pictures of my husband and I after we sealed our vows, we have a beautiful story of our day that is timeless and precious.

I love pictures. I always have I love the power of images to give a story to life and bring people together.

My work has been described as whimsical, emotional and artistic. Stylish and classic.

My approach is photojournalistic and candid and my goal is to stay as unobtrusive as possible to capture moments as they happen naturally. During portraits I work in a more editorial portrait style. I will direct your attention away from focusing on the camera and help you interact naturally to capture real moments that tell your unique story.

I draw on a technical knowledge of the craft and a background in editorial and photojournalism to tell your story in images. I hire associate photographers that are photographers in their own right and share a similar vision.

I want your photography to be as unique and meaningful as you do. When you look back at your photos or share them with others I don't want you to just remember the moment, I want you to FEEL it.

You have put a great amount of effort into a special day that will mark a new beginning and want to share that with friends and family. What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Yes.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Yes. All lighting situations. I use technical knowledge of the craft and an understanding of natural and supplemental lighting and light modifiers to make the best use of light to make you look your best.

Is your media preference film or digital?

Digital

How many photographers do you work with?

Several. I suggest a package with two photographers, but often work alone. When a second photographer is added to one of our packages it will be an experienced photographer with full equipment and a similar style.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

No.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I use all professional Canon equipment with a full range of prime lenses, speedlights, battery packs and light modifiers. I carry a backup of equipment.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

We have packages for different needs that specify coverage.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Yes. $200.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

Yes. I require a meal for all photographers. We do not take a specified break and can eat quickly or between action. I suggest that the photographers eat when the couple eats. When people are eating is the only time we are not shooting and people like a little privacy at this time.

Do you charge for travel?

Out of town travel.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

3 weeks.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Online galleries.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

Proofs are usually online for 3 months.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes.

What kind of albums do you offer?

We offer traditional, flush mount and fine art printed albums. We use only the highest quality and best designed albums available. We have choices from Indian silks to traditional leathers.

When will the client get the final album?

1 to 2 months following final approval of design.
