Reviews for Men's Wearhouse (Burbank)
DH and I picked out the tuxedos and DH got measured at Men's Wearhouse in Santa Monica. They were extremely patient with us when we couldn't decide what vest color we wanted and had taken over all the swatches in the store! Very professional and polite. My brother (a GM) was living in Hong Kong at the time so my mom measured him when she visited. I was worried that the measurements wouldn't be right and they were very accommodating when I asked if we could pick up the tuxedos a few days earlier and return one day later. When my brother did get his tux, the jacket didn't fit as I had predicted. He took it to the Men's Wearhouse in Torrance and they got him another one immediately. We had no problems with DH's tux and everyone was able to return their tuxes fine. I highly recommend Men's Wearhouse. We looked at Friar Tux and After Hours also but Men's Wearhouse offers more bang for the buck. They include all the accessories in their price, unlike other places where you have to pay for the vest, cufflinks, and shoes separately.
If you decide to go with Men's Wearhouse, I have two tips on saving money. If you need more than 5 tuxs, go to a bridal show and get the Men's Wearhouse deal there. I think you save like 50% on each tux plus get the groom's for free. We only needed 2 tuxs so we couldn't take advantage of that deal. If you need less tuxes, go to MensWearhouse.com and print out the coupon from their web site for 20% off each tuxedo. That's what we did and saved $40.
We got good service from them except when we went to pick up the tuxes and shoes they had the wrong shoes. We had picked another style. Well I freaked out and admit being a Bridezilla. :) But they did eventually fix the problem and everything ended up fine. Their prices are really good though. We got the groom's tux free since all the groomsmen (5 men)got their tuxes from there.
I had read so many horror stories about tux rental places, so I was concerned. Since our bridal party was so spread out we went with Men's Wearhouse (we went through the store at the Empire Center in Burbank). They were fine. The tuxes looked good. We only had two small problems -- they gave my Dad the wrong vest, so he had to make two trips to the store to get it sorted out and my DH's coat was a little snug. But he walked out of the store with it and I'm sure if he'd put up a stink they would have remedied the situation. Ultimately, any problem we had they fixed.
