Men's Wearhouse (Denver, CO)
Reviews for Men's Wearhouse (Denver, CO)
This review is for the MW store in Grand Junction, CO.
We used MW and had problems with them... first of all, we only rented vests and the ties - so you would think that would be easier right? wrong. Their software is setup for full tux rentals, so to do just vests and ties took some finagling...
We had a huge wedding party (13 rentals) and everyone was very spread out, some of the guys work in the oil fields for months at a time, so getting everyone's measurements was a pain - plus MW was snotty with me when I would just call in some of the guys measurements (the only one needed was the chest... it's not like rocket science or anything). In the end, almost everyone's vests fit great except for two of the guys (including the GROOM) and those two had actually gone in to MW and got measured by the staff...
Then, since we kind of had a destination wedding (3 hours away from the store) - we just picked up all the vests and ties at once and brought them to the location. MW didn't like that either, but what else were we supposed to do? One of my BMs picked them all up b/c I was already at our wedding location by the time they finally came in.
THEN one of the vests was missing a button, and they didn't provide any "spare parts" like most other places do...
The kicker was when I saw my brother in his vest 5 minutes before the ceremony... they put him in WHITE... DH was supposed to be the ONLY one in white!!!!! Totally almost caused a bridezilla moment. But at that point there wasn't diddleysquat I could do about it, plus my bro looked dashing anyway. But still...
So, I personally do not recommend them. But I think that 99% of it has to do with the local store and how it is managed. So if you find a good store, go for it! But if you have any issues right off the bat, I would avoid them like the plague.
The groom and the groomsmen all rented their tux from Men's Warehouse. This is the best way to go because they are all over the country and they have great looking tux.
We went to the Men's Wearhouse at Flatirons. I do NOT recommend.
My husband did everything right – got measured & ordered his tux ahead of time. His groomsmen, ring bearers & dads did the same. The staff told him to pick up the tuxes on Thursday night or Friday morning for our Saturday wedding. So they went in on Friday morning. NOTHING FIT! The groom’s pants were two different lengths. All the groomsmen’s shirt sleeves were too short. The ring bearers’ shirts were too long. The shirts weren’t ivory. All of the pants didn’t fit and needed to be altered on the spot. The ring bearers’ jackets were the wrong size. The ivory handkerchiefs did not match the ivory shirts.
And to top it all off, the staff argued about it all. They said that the shirts were the right length (the cuffs didn’t even reach the wrist on the guys), and they said the ivory matched. In the end, they gave a couple of silver handkerchiefs instead of the ivory, but that was pulling teeth just to get that. They said they couldn’t fix the shirts or jackets because there was no time (we were driving up to Breckenridge that day). If that’s the case, they should have told us to get the tuxes a couple of days before! Oh, and the rented socks made everyone’s feet turn black. DO NOT USE!
All I knew about The Men’s Warehouse was what I had seen in the corny commercials when I was growing up, but we decided to use them for tuxedo rentals for our wedding, and they proved to be very helpful and decently priced. In the store we were able to look over a book with pictures of all their tux styles, which was extremely helpful because we hadn’t known yet what style we wanted. They also had many styles to choose from, and there was a nice variety of vest colors and styles too. The salesmen were exceptionally nice, helpful, and efficient. We also found it extremely convenient that there are so many Men’s Warehouse stores around, since we were having our wedding out of town – my husband and all of the groomsmen were able to get fitted at their local stores, and then everyone’s tuxes were picked up at the store nearest where the wedding was being held.
Terrible. They gave no shoes to the ring bearer, my dad is 6'6 and his pants were a good 3 inches to short. They ended up giving us a full refund because they made so many mistakes.
Very helpful and reliable. They helped us with our destination wedding and getting everything coordinated.
