Reviews for Mercurio Brothers Printing
WOW!!! I loooooooove my invitations and I loooove Mercurio Brothers! Here are the reasons why:
* Great customer service
* Samples were mailed to me within 2-3 days of my purchase, and also properly labeled
* Very affordable letterpress
* When I purchased the invitations and sent them my design, they had the proof ready for me the next day
* The invitations look great and are exactly what I wanted!
I got the Somerset 500g for the invitation, and the Somerset 300g for the RSVP cards.
I didn't work directly with Mercurio Brothers for our letterpress invitations but my DOC did. We trusted our DOC completely when it came to our invites and she highly recommended MB for letterpress.
We got our invitations just last week and they were GORGEOUS!! Exactly what I wanted and expected. They arrived shrink-wrapped and just perfectly packaged. The thickness of their most popular Somerset paper was perfect; not too crazy thick but enough to really compliment the printing.
I would definitely recommend them to any ladies looking for affordable letterpress! :)
They rock!! My invitations turned out so.....awesome!! Of utmost high quality and service. I worked with Joe who was great! He implemented my ideas (for a small fee) and it came out beautifully. Another option would be to pay a designer or calligrapher ~$300 to design it and you can take your file to them to print. I recommend their Somerset paper because the press is deeper set. Unless you want colored paper, then the Arturo works. Good communication and turnaround time. The only negative is that if you would like liners, they do not offer that. But, you can get them online.
I"m so glad we picked Mercurio Brothers. Their customer service was great, and the best part is the pricing. They are very affordable. The quality of the prints was amazing and the turnaround time very fast.
The quality of my letterpress order was great, so I really didn't want to give them a not-so-hot review. However, I recently discovered that someone else had the same problem as I did, which leads me to believe that this is an actual problem, not just a fluke.
I would also like to say that I fully intended to use Mercurio Brothers for printing for my business, so I was really disappointed with my experience there.
On their website, they say single pieces will take 2-3 weeks, and that people should call for a specific delivery date. After two weeks, I decided to call to get an exact time estimate. Turns out they lost my order. The guy on the phone was totally condescending, asking me why I placed the entire order online and why I wouldn't have called to make sure everything went through. I had to explain several times that I'd had an email exchange with one of their employees and didn't think I needed to call. Initially he told me that I would need to pay a $50 rush order fee in order to have them done by the end of the month (two weeks late), and if I wasn't willing to pay the $50, they would be done mid-June (my invites were supposed to go out at the beginning of June, and I still had to do some assembly once I got the letterpress). Needless to say, I was rather upset about the situation, because it isn't my fault that they lost my order, and I shouldn't have to pay a rush fee in order to have them done later than they should have been done in the first place.
Long story a teeny bit shorter, I had to read him several statements off of their website and all of the emails I had received before he agreed to talk to the "big boss" and get my order moved up. He gave me a delivery date. I called on that delivery date before I drove all the way over there, and it STILL wasn't done! They had written a delivery date of over a week later! I explained the situation AGAIN and was told they would be done the next day. Luckily, they were. As I said, the quality is really good, but their customer service SUCKS. I never received so much as an apology! I don't really care how busy they are--once I found out they lost another person's order, I decided to post the review. Losing orders is NOT a good thing, and neither is talking down to customers.
Long story short: IF YOU ORDER FROM MERCURIO BROTHERS, MAKE SURE TO CALL AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE INDEED GOING TO PRINT IT. Again, I am not the only person whom this has happened to.
I loved how our invitations turned out. I provided them with a design and they returned a proof to approve within days. My only issue was with invoicing. I wasn't technically quoted a price for my entire order. I knew what the printing costs were going to be for my invitations, rsvp cards, and map, but when I added envelope printing for both rsvp envelopes and outer mailing envelopes, the price jumped up. It's really my fault, but in retrospect, I could have done a better job at asking for the total price upfront.
My job was completed in 6 weeks, kind of long, but I was warned. So my best advice would be to get your invitations in early and allow for enough time for printing in hopes of getting your invitations completed with plenty of time.
We had Mercurio Brothers print our invitations, and they are like the best! Not only are they very affordable for printing our custom designed invitations, but their turnaround time is fast and their service is professional and super friendly! You can't go wrong with Mercurio Brothers!
I cannot say enough positive words about these guys. I've been printing invitations, brochures and the like for years and stumbled across them when I started planning our wedding. The quality of their letterpress is excellent- deep imprinting, high quality coloring and thick paper. They were fast with the printing and I felt their pricing was incredibly reasonable. I worked with Bob and Damian- both gave excellent customer service. I've already used them again and printed an invitation for bridal shower I'm hosting. I just love their work!
Note to the non-design savvy: for a nominal fee, they will design your invitation for your.
Great job on our invitations! This place smells like a print shop! You can smell the inks and solvents when you walk inside. Lots of envelopes sold here from $1.20 to about $2.00, cards, calendars, etc.
They are the most reasonably priced letterpress that I could find and they come highly recommended by many, myself included. MB is the way to go if you already have your design worked out. I never even check out their location even though I'm probably only 15min. away. All contact with them was 98% through email (just the way I like it!). There was no hassle and I was completely overwhelmed with their press & paper quality. Their turnaround time was fast and I even ordered more response cards at the last minute; they were able to get them to me with in a week!
We got our invitations a couple of days ago and are extremely pleased with them. They are exactly what I expected - beautiful and elegant. The quality of the paper is excellent (we used the somerset 300g paper) - I think our guests will be very impressed! I'm also happy that the cost was reasonable (especially for letterpress!! You can't find better prices, really), they came in on time, and that communication with the vendor was easy, especially via e-mail (although be warned that they are not open and do not answer e-mails on the weekend). My fiance designed the invitations with images they sent us through e-mail. They use Pantone colors and so we chose our colors by looking at swatches which were available at Kinko's, since we live in Southern California and could not make it into their store. If you want letterpress wedding invitations that are reasonably-priced, but also unique and high-quality, I highly recommend Mercurio Brothers. Also, love that they are mom-and-pop!
I got my invitations a month ago and they were spectacular. I ordered 300 5x7 invitations & RSVPs printed in two colors. The prices are unbeatable. I must say the customer service this company offer is the best. I changed my design about 5 times and each time they we're quick to get me back the proof without any complaints. I highly recommend Mercurio Brothers Printing to all those DIY brides out there who is looking for affordable letterpress invitations.
I cannot say enough great things about Mercurio Brothers Printing. I had a two year engagement and therefore, was able to do some extensive research and find some great wedding vendors.
The invitations they printed were actually just one layer I then sent of to another lady to assemble the many layers of my invite (she happened to only do printing, not letterpress). Not only was the turn around time quick compared to other printers, but the customer service was exceptional. I e-mailed them several times with minor changes to the reception and RSVP cards and each time, they responded the same day and were very kind.
Besides putting up with all my edits, they provided great advice and would even e-mail me examples of fonts or alignments I might like better (I always preferred their examples as they are the professionals).
I highly recommend them as they are by far the most affordable, but quality is never compromised. I plan to use them in the future for any stationary needs.
Mercurio Brothers did a great job printing our invitations. My fiance designed our invitations and we had a very specific idea about how we wanted them to appear, from the font to the color to a "fade" effect. Mercurio Brothers was great. When we brought our file in, they spent a lot of time talking to us about what was and what was not doable on letterpress and why. On the day they were printing our invitations, they called us and asked if we wanted to do one final check because they thought we might not like how something was coming out (not through any fault of their own, but again because we wanted one part of the card lighter than the other). We did come do a final check, and were glad we did - they made some final adjustments and the invitations came out beautifully.
Like everyone else has said, if you want letterpress and have some of your own design ideas, this is the way to go. They certainly pay a lot of attention to detail.
I have been using this family run business for many years and have always been extremely satisfied with their letterpress invitations. Their product is unsurpassed and the staff is more than helpful. The price is always right.
