From the moment I walked into the bakery I knew they were the one. The service at the bakery is great and the cakes were so yummy. I didn't just choose one kind of cake, I chose 3 and my guests loved it! A lot of my family got seconds and that doesn't always happen at weddings. I'm so glad that Merengue Bakery is a short drive from home. I go there when I'm in the mood for awesome red velvet!

Man, this place is really hit or miss. I ordered my wedding cake from here because their chocolate parissian cake is really good. Well I gave them a picture of the cake I want. It's pretty simple. Just white buttercream with black ribbons that goes around the cake in a diagonal. Well the day of I was pretty suprised at how they managed to screw up the ribbons on such a simple cake. The edges of the ribbon was not cut straight to match the top edge of the different tiers. There is a picture attached. And the seams of the ribbons were not all in one side of the cake and were quite messy. So no matter how much we turned the cake around to find a better angle...there wasn't. It was as if they put the ribbons on hurriedly. They really need to work on their detail work. The cake still tasted yummy, but all the cakes I have ordered, it's like they only do 85% of the work and the last 15% they just do half a$$ed. It was the only thing about my wedding that I did not like. Everything else was pretty much perfect.

Merengue Bakery was very easy to work with. You get more than what you pay for with this bakery. I will definitely return to them when needing another cake in the future.
