Merle Manders Conference and Wedding Center was the perfect location for our wedding. Heidi was so easy to work with and always answered any questions we had and answered every e-mail the same day. They were very professional and friendly, and the venue is HUGE and beautiful. Love the stacked stone fireplace that goes all the way up to the all wood ceiling, the chandeliers, and the mood lighting. The huge covered porch is also a plus. We had 150 guests and there was plenty of parking. Thanks again Heidi for everything! It's a day we'll never forget!

Merle Manders is a very nice facility. It is very large, too, so it accompanies a lot of people. It is beautifully decorated for the holidays so I only had to have centerpieces for my tables as decoration. I've heard if you are a resident of the city of stockbridge you get a discount.

The staff at Merle Manders was great! I'm still getting complements from on my wedding in reference to the venue and how nice it was. I always got a speedy response and they were willing to work with me whenever I needed them to. Would recommend to anyone!

I highly recommend MMCC. Everyone at the facility was very professional. They work as a team and in the absence of one another. The facility is absolutely beautiful and spacious. The grounds, restrooms and entire facility are clean and well manicured. My guest count was 200 for the wedding reception and everyone was comfortable. My guests raved about how beautiful and classy the site was; MMCC is well worth the money. A special thanks to Heidi, the Event Coordinator. She was flexible and worked with me to meet every aspect of my reception needs.

I highly recommend the Merle Manders Conference Center for a Wedding Reception. #1- Make an appointment: Vendors want to give you the time and attention that you deserve. Because they meet with other clients or have other events during the day, it is important that you call ahead and schedule time to meet with them and/or view the facility. This will ensure that they will be ready to assist you with questions and concerns.
#2- Bring as much information about your event as possible. It is easier for vendors to give you proper information if they know dates, times, number of guests, color scheme, etc. If you have ideas or pictures, bring those as well.
#3- Ask their advice and opinion. Because all of these folks are experts in their field, they can help tell you what has worked and what hasn't. Most of them have seen or heard it all...so they can respect your dreams and desires while also giving you the facts, saving you time and money.
Setting up your event space
The atmosphere you create has a lot to do with the way that your event space is arranged. If it is too crowded, people will be grumpy, hot and uncomfortable; if it is too open, then people will feel self conscious and that the event will not seem successful. It is best to find the happy medium when setting up your event space.
Remember that the more items you need to have in the room, the more reduced capacity for seating you will have. Do not expect a room that holds 200 people to also hold 200 people with 4 bars, a dance floor, 3 food stations, etc. You get the picture.
