Hands down, Scott Metzger is one of the most talented, professional, artistic photographers I have ever met. Having had two other friends have Scott as their photographer for their wedding and seeing the incredible outcome of his creativity, my husband and I chose the date of our wedding around when Scott was available.

He was quick to respond, easy to get in touch with, and took the time to have us to his studio to show us his detailed editing process. The day of our wedding he had already gone down to our church as well as the local harbor and cleared away goose poop, and already had creative shots in mind. He goes above and beyond, getting down on the floor/grass, climbing up on ladders, while all the time being so discrete, catching great candid moments.

The turn-around time for our pictures was incredible. Before we had even left for our honeymoon 36hrs later we already had a picture emailed to us, and upon return from our honeymoon, and absolutely amazing slideshow with our wedding song playing in the background. For his incredible talent and other rave reviews, I was willing to pay a good amount to have such a talented photographer, and was surprised at how affordable he is.

His photography skill is like no other and he did a phenomenal job capturing ever moment and ever single detail. Scott provided my husband and I with the most amazing and artistic engagement and wedding photographs I have ever seen. We decided to work with Scott Metzger after he photographed my husband’s cousin’s wedding. Our wedding pictures are phenomenal thanks to Scott Metzger. His patience and attention to detail are exactly what you want with your photographer. His attitude was always calm which made the experience easier for us since we were so nervous that day! I can't thank Scott enough for the wonderful pictures and service. I was looking for an excellent photographer who would capture our day, put my husband (who hates photos) at ease, and be kind to work with. We got all that and more! The solo bride shots are amazing, the bridal party shots are fun and natural, there are numerous action shots which capture the day so well, and his ability to photograph children is impeccable! We got a slideshow of the top pics over our honeymoon which our family and friends emailed to everyone and I have heard from countless people how impressed they are with our photographer and his work! Scott was our photographer for our wedding on May 21st in the Berkshires. We knew he was great at what he does by the photos on his site, but when we actually worked with him and saw all of our photos were were blown away. Metzger Studios simply blew us away with the amazing photography they provided for our 5/1 wedding! The creativity and style of photography is out of this world. There were pictures of small details that made me smile too (save the date on the fridge, a blanket I received for my shower draped over the couch with our names & wedding date, etc). During "formal" photos, Scott and his team had us laughing the whole time and other times I honestly forgot they were there. A good amount of the photos we never knew were even taken and they came out simply amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend Metzger Studios if you want to be blown away like we were.

As soon as we met with Scott during our planning process we knew we had found our photographer and he didn't disappoint. Not only was he wonderful to work with from start to finish but the pictures came out absolutely amazing as well. We couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

I new Scott was going to be a great photographer once my husband and I meet with him! The photo's from other weddings he showed us were great and he even took the time to show us his "studio" where he does all his work, touching up photo's, etc...And gave us examples on spot of how he does his work.

Scott called me a few days before the wedding and went over all the details I'd sent him in several emails over the past year. I wasn't sure of the timeline but he wanted to come earlier to make sure he got all the necessary shots before we left for the church.

He's fun and easy to work with. Other than the formal photo's I never really noticed him or his assistant being there. He will ask you "if you've had enough" because there is definitely a lot of picture taking during the day.

I have to give a shout out to Scott Metzger and his amazing work for my wedding. My husband and I were married last October, and Scott's work was amazing. He got everything we had asked him for, and was willing to do some pretty creative things for us! He even got on the ground to get a bunch of shots of us by this huge willow tree!

Scott was amazing. He was all over the place on the wedding day, getting amazing shots of the bridal party, the guests, and the room. He scouted out a great location for our outdoor photos that I would never have thought of, and it turned out amazing! He knows how to stay out of the way during the reception, but still get incredible photographs. He was on ladders, on the floor, everywhere! Metzger Studios photography is simply amazing!! For the majority of the night we didn't even realize Scott was taking shots until he posted our pictures for our viewing pleasure. My wife and I were amazed at the shots he took and on a number of occasions we thought "wow, how did he take that?? we didnt even see him!"
During the pre-ceremony photos, Scott was not pushy with getting photos of the girls as they were getting ready if they needed space. He was extremely polite and respectful yet made sure photos of the pre-wedding were captured.
During our post-ceremony photos Scott would go to great lengths to get the "right shot" even laying on the wet grass, under bushes, on top of a 10 foot ladder balancing with all his gear. Yet at the same time never made the photos to be a boring pose or "beating a dead horse" with the same shots. He kept us entertained took amazing photos and made sure we were having a wonderful time.
Photos were posted online for viewing/purchasing within a week of our wedding. After we chose the pictures for our album, Scott touched up the photos and got the book to us promptly.

Scott was our photographer for our 9/09 wedding. His pictures were phenomenal -I get complimented on them every time they get mentioned. Everytime we look through them, I am amazed at the number of good shots he got. He has a true artistic talent in photography, and our albums show it. Definitely worth the price.

Scott photographed the day from start to finish, gave us a few ideas, and was able to corral an unruly relative or two during the ceremony. I had made him a "shot list," and somehow it didnt get brought that day, and that was disappointing. However, we were able to get the majority of the
important shots we wanted, so overall, this was a small thing.

Some things that made Scott stand out for us: the second photographer he brought, the rights to our prints, the DVD and slideshow he produced, as well as his general professionalism on the day of the event. When making the album we had as much control over shot selection and layout as we wanted, which was perfect. At times, the communications regarding the album were confusing, but we were able to work it out in a timely fashion.

One really great thing about the process was when I wasnt 100% happy with the layout of our second album, Scott revised it promptly and without complaint according to my specifications. It's important to note that I absolutely *loved* the layout of the first album, and he did a lot of work for us between the two albums we ordered.

Pictures were very important to us, and so we were willing to spend a good chunk of our budget on them. I think Scott was the perfect choice and we were very pleased with the results.

I typically wouldn't give a 5-star rating in every category for anything, but in this case, it is well deserved.
My wife and I heard about Metzger Studios through a friend. They used Scott at their wedding years ago and have referred him to many couples since. At that point, we had met with a few other photographers and we weren't extremely impressed by anybody. The price quotes were high and there was nothing out of the ordinary about their work. I emailed Scott and was instantly impressed by his prompt, professional and friendly response. We met with him shortly thereafter. My first impression of Scott was a great one. He is polite, funny and charismatic while maintaining a high level of professionalism. He showed us some samples of his work which was extremely impressive and he showed us around his workspace, spending extra time on his equipment and how it works. Even before we talked about a price I had kind of already made a decision. My wife and I chatted a bit while he left the room and decided that we both really liked him. Finally he returned with a price list. It was literally almost half of some of the other quotes we had gotten and it included more. The decision was easy, we booked him right there.
That was only the beginning. For the year leading up to the wedding, Scott kept in touch with us. Every time I sent him an email with a question or concern, he replied promptly. He was very easy to deal with.
On the day of the wedding, he arrived earlier than expected but made sure not to get in the way of my wife's preparation schedule. His assistant was also very talented. She arrived at the Church early to photograph the guys. Her pictures also came out excellent! We had a very rainy wedding day, but surprisingly enough, Scott managed to use the rain to his advantage! Some of the shots he took, even with the rain, were amazing! He used puddles to capture mirrored images and rain drops to spice up some shots that would otherwise be a bit boring. It was a really nice feeling to see that the rain didn't ruin our pictures and in some cases it actually made them better. We explained to Scott that we really wanted to be a part of our cocktail hour so he got both our families and our wedding party in order to get the necessary formal shots out of the way so we were able to accomplish that goal....and they still came out great! I was a bit worried during the reception because I didn't really see much of Scott. I was afraid he was missing some great shots, but when we got the pictures back, I realized that he didn't miss a thing...he was very discreet. So discreet that I literally didn't notice him for most of the night. At the end of the night, when the band finished up and the lights came on, I noticed that Scott was still there taking pictures. This was over an hour later than our price quote had included. He didn't charge us a penny more and didn't even mention it. The wedding was on a Saturday and by Monday morning we had a complete digital slide show complete with music...our first dance song. We were VERY impressed. By the following Friday we got an email with every picture he took....there were too many to count. We hadn't even gotten home from our honeymoon and we already had a slide show and ALL of our pictures! My wife and I were MORE THAN IMPRESSED, especially due to the fact that this was right at the peak of wedding season! The quality of the pictures was amazing and the shots were phenomenal! We still get compliments from people who look at them! Since our wedding we have referred many people to Metzger Studios. In fact, anytime I hear that a friend or family member is getting married, I almost instantly blurt out "do you have a photographer yet?!?" I have been to a few weddings for people who ended up using Metzger Studios based on our recommendation and it is always a pleasure to see Scott. He is still the same nice guy as he was when we met with him over two years ago. My wife and I will continue to use Metzger Studios for any formal pictures we decide to take in the future for ourselves or our children. We'll also continue to refer Metzger Studios to anybody who is looking for the best wedding photographer in the greater Boston area! You won't be disappointed!!

Scott is absolutely amazing!!! I could not have been any happier with him. He was just so great. He is so laid back and easy to work with. His photos are absolultely amazing. During the reception you barely saw him, yet he got EVERY photo. I would highly recommend him.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Scott for our engagement and wedding photos. We were so thrilled with the results I would hire him 100 times over. He made us feel so comfortable during the photo shoots so we looked so natural in the pictures. Scott Metzger is a great photographer, he is really good at taking candids and not just posed shots. He made everyone look amazing, and took so many pictures that we have a ton to choose from for our album. Make sure if there are specific people at the reception that you want pictures of who may not be on your formal shot list (aunts, uncles, close friends) that you let him know, he will go around to their tables and take pictures of them.

I did research for couple of months until I decided for Scott- he is absolutely the best you can get!! Very professional, remarkable artist, lots of imagination , a pleasure to work with.

Scott is really a fantastic guy. He showed up early, was always very responsive during the planning. We had about 900-1000 photos to sort thru!! His assistant Katherine was great, also.

He is flexible, also and works well under pressure. Point in case- the bride (ahem, oops) was running 45 minutes late�so he was shooting us girls and Katherine was with the boys; but this took out of photo time so he worked quickly and got some great shots. I do regret not getting more formal shots of me and my sister and bridesmaids; but am happy with the formals that did take place and LOVE the fact as we were taking photos on the BPL stairs, he literally gets down on the stairs in his tux laying on the ground to get a shot!!! He also was so apologetic that when he couldn�t get to some table shots (not at my request but my moms) because some of our centerpieces were extremely large (31� tall w/out the flowers; about 36-40� with) and the vase got in the way�I appreciated his honesty.

He also has been so quick. Not even a week after the wedding the proofs were ready. Great guy with tremendous talent.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience working with Scott Metzger for our January 2009 wedding. When we met Scott we were instantly comfortable with him. He was professional and informative, while at the same time very friendly and laid back. Leading up to the wedding, he was extremely responsive to our questions and never pushy. The day of the wedding, he and his assistant arrived early, and they stayed beyond the contracted time, making sure to capture all of the special moments. He fit in so well with our families, and helped keep the atmosphere calm and organized. When we wanted to get some outdoor shots by the Scituate Lighthouse, he never hesitated and very graciously took many shots in 10 degree weather. His gentle encouragement helped us to stay warm, calm and relaxed during the frigid temperatures and photo sessions, and our photos reflect this. We hardly knew he was around and yet when we wanted to get a special moment on film, he was always there to get it. Our beautiful slideshow set to music was ready for us when we returned from our honeymoon, and our online proofs were available shortly after that. We had a tough time selecting the photos for our albums from the nearly 2,000 proofs, and Scott always made himself available to assist in the process. We left the layout of our album up to him and the final product is absolutely stunning. We now have something to treasure for the rest of our lives that truly captures the feeling of our most special day. We will never forget our experience with Scott; selecting him as our photographer is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We highly recommend him for your wedding.

A true photographer at its finest. Scott Metzger is a blow of fresh air with his photojournalist approach. The moment I walked into his own home to have our first meeting I knew he'd be the one. When you see your photographer's own personal pictures and family pictures, you know how much potential there truly is. His work shows a very relaxed feel and there is no traditional posed pictures. If you like the candid style then he would definitely be the one. I'm so excited to see how my own pictures turn out.

Scott Metzger is an unbelievable photographer. His work says it all. I will never use another photographer and I hope to use him for future events. His work captured every emotion. Out of all my vendors used for my wedding, Scott Metzger went above and beyond. He is very creative and when he is working at your event, some of the poses my seem a little silly at first, but when you see the outcome, it's truly amazing . Scott was an amazing photographer! He was always very responsive to our questions and requests over e-mail and the phone. There was a lot of confusion over where and when we'd be shooting before the wedding (was it too hot outside? Too windy?) and he was always willing to be flexible while still offering his expert opinion. During the wedding he seemed like he was everywhere at once - when I didn't know where my groom was, I just had to ask Scott! Even when he was about to walk out the door, he still had time for one more shot with two of my best friends. After the wedding he quickly posted an online slideshow that all my guests loved (and made me tear up!) and gave us access to our online prints. When we couldn't decide on less than 450 pictures to proof, he offered to cut them down, and when he couldn't he just sent them all! We haven't gotten *our* act together to get our album yet, but I'm sure it will be lovely.

Scott was absolutely amazing! He was very professional and always there to answer any questions I had. We were very comfortable with him and his work is just amazing! I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great photojournalistic photographer!

Scott was fabulous!!! He took so many pictures and you didn't even notice he was there. He got so many great candid and posed pictures. When there was some down time he too portraits of on of my bridemaids and her daughter(my flower girl) that they love and will always cherish. The price was great!!! and he worked with you so you could stay in your budget. You got so much value for the money. He was so patient with everyone in the wedding party especially the children, even when we decided to take a group picture last minute during the reception. I would never use another photographer and neither would my family!!!!!

I struck gold when I found Scott Metzger. He is amazingly talented and so easy to work with. There were so many shots that I loved, I might have to get two albums. Everyone I've sent our slideshow to is just as amazed as I am. The pictures are mesmerizing. I choke up every time I look at them. I whole-heartedly recommend Metzger Studios.
