Michael took amazing photographs at our wedding, however he is the only thing that I regret about my wedding day. He refused to go by a list of pictures that I sent him prior to the wedding outlining the basic family portraits I wanted taken and when (I wanted all pictures taken before the ceremony so we could enjoy our reception). As soon as I got to the church after my hair appointment, he had me taking pictures. He rushed me to get into my wedding dress and would not let me wait until my mother arrived to do so. He did NOT take ANY family portraits before the ceremony. He even forgot previous conversations in which we discussed taking pictures of my husband and I before the ceremony. He then argued with me that I had not talked to him about this.
Once we arrived at the reception, my husband and I were pulled outside and everywhere else taking pictures that should have been taken before the wedding. Other than not being able to enjoy our reception because we were busy taken pictures that he had neglected to take earlier, my largest upset was the fact that after he posted the photos online there was not one picture of my father and I together.
For months after the wedding, I tried to contact Michael about getting the photo of my father and I before I would consider chosing photos for our album. He never returned my emails and 2 weeks ago I finally got the cd with all the pictures; from my mother who got it from our wedding coordinator. Upon emailing him about starting the album process, he blamed me for the fact that we had not begun on it earlier and stated that he would have been generous on picture amounts if it had not been for this.
He was TERRIBLE to work with, did not remember what we discussed prior to the wedding, cussed in the church while taking my pictures and DID NOT TAKE ANY FAMILY PICTURES. I do not have one picture of my husband and I and our families. Do not go with this photographer unless you want no say in your pictures and all candid shots.
