Carlos and several of his colleagues provided the music for our wedding ceremony and the reception that followed. It was fantastic! Carlos suggested a guitar and violin duet for the ceremony, followed by a guitar and percussionist for the reception, and it could not have been a better choice for us! We received numerous compliments from our guests about how wonderful the music was. Carlos was also extremely helpful in suggesting appropriate songs for the ceremony, and was very accommodating by bringing an extra microphone and speaker for our use during the ceremony and reception. Everything was great, and we highly recommend Carlos for weddings and receptions of all kinds!

Mr. Carlos Abanto is a true professional! He was early for the ceremony, not just on time and was able to improvise and fit our needs without further direction. All the guests loved his music and were very impressed with his talent. He played solo guitar for our ceremony and hearing him play while I walked towards my now husband brought tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you Mr. Abanto! Key Largo on July 11, 2010.

We hired Carlos to play some classical music during our wedding ceremony. We also had him attend our rehearsal two days prior. In all honesty, we were blown away by his courtesy, professionalism and talent. We even used a song he wrote himself during our ceremony.
He was always early, always worked with our schedule, and was always extremely polite. There are other reviews on him on other websites as well in case you need further persuasion.
Thanks again Carlos!

Mr. Abano was hired to play at our wedding ceremony and reception.
He was beyond excellent. The ceremony was changed due to weather and Mr. Abano didn't miss a beat! We highly recommend him to anyone seeking a versatile musician.

FAQ for Miami Wedding Guitarist & Bands
$50 to Broward, $100 to Palm Beach, $100 up to Marathon.
-You may, and should, pick the pieces for the ceremony, these are 3 or 4, and they are the really important ones.
-Some suggestions:
1. A piece for the Court: maids, flower girl, ring boy, etc. walk with a specific piece. The standard, and very much appropriate is Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
2. The bride most of the time walks with other melody. The standard is the March known as "Here Comes the Bride".
3. If you have a sand or candle ceremony, something Celtic is very aerial and appropriate. Also are: Ave Maria (especially if you are catholic), Bach’s Air in G or Arioso, Vivaldi’s Spring or Sunrise-Sunset (if you are jewish).
4. As you walk out,(recessional) the standard is the Wedding March, by Mendelssohn.
All these are only suggestions. Besides the standards, you may ask for any song meaningful to you. I have been asked for Beatles’ songs, Broadway songs, movies' songs, etc. If your give me a reasonable time, I can make an arrangement of any song and play it at your ceremony.
-About cocktail time and the reception, give the musicians guidelines but let them "work the room", all of us, the musicians, attend to at least a couple of weddings per week, WE KNOW what to play to please any audience.
-Do not micro manage. And please, apply this tip to everything. You cannot pick every single song of the party, the same way you cannot stand behind a cook to check how he slices every onion. Relax and enjoy your party.
