WARNING>>>>>DO NOT USE!!! I should have read these reviews before hiring him, however I trusted Michael since he did my brothers wedding several years ago. I used him for both photo and video and it has been a HORRID experience trying to get my photos and video from him. Months and MONTHS of resorting to threats to try and get a return call or email to get my wedding memories from him. I finally received my photo's via email, he did not follow through on his portion of the contract and asked if he could just give me the high resolution photos and walk away and would not charge me the balance, so NO ALBUM (even though he said he had been "working on it"). I agreed, so that I could just get my photo's and video and be done with him. The high resolution photo's look no different than the other photo's he sent me. I AM STILL Waiting for my video. After empty promises from Michael James and his videographer Adam Schulze I have finally decided to get my attorney involved. Numerous phone calls, emails, text messages, no responses. When I have received an email or a call I am told It will be sent over night or delivered, this has been going on for months. NOTHING YET. These people need to be set straight by an attorney and monetary damages, not just a threat. I will keep you posted. HOWEVER>> Do not use them. Despicable business ethics.
Terrible!!!!!!!Please don't use. My wedding was almost a year ago and I can not get my wedding video despite the fact that Michael James was paid in full. I have contacted an attorney and now need to take legal action. Brides beware of this scam artist!!!!!

Brides should be very aware of how sites like this work..First off, I have no idea if this is an actual customer. I have not been contacted by an attorney and we don't keep videos for our own viewing pleasure. As I stated in an earlier response, I've had literally over a thousand happy customers since I've been in business, and these sites only seem to attract mostly those who'd rather communicate this way (that's if it's even a real customer), rather than resolve decently
I have to say that Michael James was the absolute best photographer!! Not only did he have patience with my family but he also was very flexible and worked around all the chaos. Everyone felt incredibly comfortable around him which is so important when pertaining to pictures. I have been to many weddings and have been in the bridal party a couple of times and still have not met one photographer that meets up to Michael James! My album was breath taking,and he made it happen for me just as I asked. Also, he works with you on the payments which to me was a huge help. Really a great guy and photographer!!
RUN AWAY! Michael James was recommended by a friend-with a warning: very good work yet horrible customer service, specifically with finishing the product, despite already being paid in full! Our friend and I had the same situation: after threatening to give poor reviews, Michael James agreed to finish the product, only after hearing a story on his ex-girlfriend and "tough" times. Our friend had to physically go to his office to get the video(s). We heard the same stories. He apologized for ONLY GIVING US HALF the wedding ceremony, but he and an employee have given us the run around since our May 1st 2010 wedding date. Please stay away!!!!!!

I have been doing events in South Fla. since the early 90's and have an A+ rating with the BBB and have not ever even been threatened with small claims court. Am i perfect? of course not. Who is? But it's unfortunate to have been a part of literally over a thousand events for the past 2 decades, and to have built such a great reputation in so many communities only to have someone that doesn't provide a name or any real details so that I may respond properly. I will always put in to writing exactly what my customers will receive and when. And I am very well known for my honesty and down to earth approach with everyone. I take ever event and every customer's experience personally, and always have, and always will go above and beyond for my many, many happy customers.
It has been over 4 months since my wedding, and 2 years since he filmed my "love story" video, which was shown at my wedding. Michael has been paid 90% of his fee. In the 4 months since my wedding, I have not been able to get in touch with Michael, to get a copy of the long-ago completed "Love Story" OR to hear what is going on with my Wedding video. I have been calling consistently for the 4 months. In addition, after Michael was paid and the "love story" was completed, he nearly didn't release it to us because we planned to show it at our rehearsal dinner and not our wedding.
Further, I asked that he not insert any silly "stills" from movies into our Love Story video, and I sent him photos of my husband and I through our childhoods to include instead. He refused to show us the video before it debuted in front of ALL our family and friends. When the video finally did show, we saw that he had included the movie stills and left out all of our personal photos.

I know the customer is always supposed to be right, and it pains me to even say this here...But this customer is 100% in the wrong. I have done hundreds of these specialty love stories, and everyone (except for this particular customer) understands exactly how it works. Also, I'd like for them to share on this board as well, just what a monstrously huuuuge hit it was at the Wedding. I absolutely love what I do and have tremendous passion for it, and its really unfortunate that someone has decided to actually complain about something that I know from other sources they were completely happy about, and was actually the biggest hit of the entire day.
Our Love STory was the hit of the party and EVERYONE is still talking about it!
Money well spent. Our video was perfect! At first I was not sure I wanted to spend the money for the video, but my husband insisted and a lot of people told me I would regret it later if I did not get it. Well, I am glad I followed everyone’s advice because I can not tell you how happy I am that we did it. The day goes by so fast you forget things. Photos are great, but they do not get everything. Michael James did a wonderful job and his staff was wonderful the day of the wedding. The final product is more than I could have ever imagined. I would recommend him to anyone with out hesitation. We will treasure the video for the rest of our lives. Again, well worth the money.
We weren't sure we wanted a video of our wedding, but are SO glad we got one, and that we hired Michael James to do it. His prices were very resonable, so we didn't know whether to expect all the "bells and whistles." The video was amazing and had everything in it that we could have wanted. We had a different photographer who missed a lot of important shots, but now we have them all on the video that Michael did, so it makes up for it! There are different chapters in the video, so it's great to watch a recap for a few minutes, and not have to watch the whole thing. We now have a 2 year old son who LOVES watching his family! Thank you Michael, for making our day so special!
This company did such a great job on our video. We just wanted a basica video with nothing fancy since we had a very small budget. They still sent out 2 guys and did a wonderful job on the final product. I would highly recommend them for any occasion.
