Michael K was our DJ for my wedding Sept. 24, 2011. Picking him for our DJ was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding process. He is everything you could have asked for in a DJ and more. His attention to detail and awareness of what our needs were and the needs of our guests was incrediableand so much appreciated. I wish I could get married again just so I could hire him again. If you are looking for a DJ and choose anyone other then him you are missing out on a great experience! I feel bad paying him what he charged us because the experience we got with him was worth so much more!
Before the wedding every detail of the wedding reception was laid out. He had an online planner that was so helpful for us in picking songs and looking at options. He had lists of popular songs for every dance you could imagine. His song lists included everything under the sun and it was very user friendly. Me nor my husband are very computer savvy and it was very easy for us to navigate and pick our dream play lists. He followed up with us on the week prior to our wedding to go over every detail one last time.
My father and I wanted to do a special dance, and Michael K took time ahead of our wedding to mesh the five songs together into one track where each song flowed and went together so nicely. He even got it back to me in enough time so my dad and I could practice with what he had made, and I asked him so last minute!
On our wedding day he looked very nice. He met us right away and gave us a nice congrats on getting married and made sure he could pronounce everyone's names right so it would sound perfect. During our first dances he was paying attention to us and we could just give him a nod when we felt we had danced enough and he would get the next one started. The dance with my father went off perfectly.
Throughout the night DJ Michael K did not try to "steal the show" and talk all the time. He made gentle reminders about our photobooth so people would go out to the lobby and check it out. The songs he picked were perfect and flowed with the evening. Everyone had an amazing time dancing. He took requests and made them roll right in together with the songs we had picked.
Everyone was having such an amazing time dancing we decided to extend our party an extra hour and DJ Michael K was totally ok with staying a whole extra hour to keep the party going longer. He was so polite when he wanted to ask me or my husband a question about what to do next or how our time was looking. We had a million people to talk to and he stood patiently at the side until we had a second and was so polite. Our guests all loved him and so did we.
One thing my husband and I both look back in reflection on our day and we are so impressed how we stayed perfectly on schedule throughout the wedding day and the reception. I think a lot of that is due to Michael K. He made sure our speeches went off when we had planned them to and made things longer when they needed to be to make sure we'd make our next time frame. He did an amazing job! He is the best in the field. I have been to weddings where it was a much different experience and I am so glad that my wedding was with him and that ours went the way it did.
To top it off at the end of the night he made us a special CD with all of our songs that we had danced to for our dances and a few special ones from the evening. We have it in my husbands car right now listening to it remembering how fun our reception was. I would have never thought to have done that with all the crazy details of trying to get the wedding done and now I can't imagine not having it.
I will recommend him to everyone I know that is getting married or needs a DJ. He is the absolute best and we are forever grateful for making our day perfect!

DJ Michael K. was awesome. He provided such a good music selection for my wedding. The guests were dancing all night and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor. He was very easy to get in contact with and was very responsive to emails or phone calls. He kept in touch with me and the groom throughout the night, making sure everything was going well and music wasn't too loud or anything.I would definitely use him in the future and recommend him to others.

DJ Mickheal was great. He was quick to respond to emails, willing to meet in the middle for meetings. He gave good suggestions. He gave us a CD with all of the main event songs and the ones we requested he play for the reception.

DJ Mike was the most responsive and easy vendor to deal with during the whole wedding planning process. We decided on him through a recommendation and knew his reputation preceded him. My husband and I told Mike that we wanted a party and we definitely got what we asked for! His interactive website allows you to research and add songs to your playlist whenever you like, all the way up to the day of the wedding. We have received so many compliments on him and I am very happy to have chosen him for both our ceremony and reception music services.

Anyone getting married in the DC area should really consider DJ Michael K for their wedding music. Hiring him was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! He was very professional and got back to me immediately with any information I required. His website makes it very easy to plan the schedule of events and select music. He did a great job with introducing some of our wedding party with very difficult names. And best of all, he turned our wedding reception into a great party! We received countless compliments on our DJ and there were so many people dancing, laughing and simply enjoying themselves - which is exactly what we wanted for our reception!

I can't thank you enough for all your hard work on Sunday. You coordinated everything perfectly and the day went very smooth for us. Sorry more people weren't dancing but it was so nice outside that most people just wanted to be out in the courtyard. It's a shame that the park won't let you play outside. I had fun when I could get the chance to dance. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for everything and when I can, I will surely pass your name onto others who are in need of a DJ. Dealing with Michael was, by far, the easiest part of our wedding planning. He was very flexible with our needs and changes from the second we locked him on, until minutes before the wedding. His professionalism and knowledge of the job was one of the biggest reasons for the success of the wedding. Michael's experience allows him to implicitly judge the reactions/behavior of the party and tailor the pace and flow to ensure everybody is having a great time. A good DJ is the life blood of a good wedding reception. DO NOT cut corners on this. Go with Michael and your guests will have a great time.

You always worry when hriing a DJ that they'll ignore what the bride and groom want or talk way too much: neither was the case here. He played what we wanted, didn't play what we didn't, and only talked when necessary to move the wedding reception along. He was easy to deal with and very flexible (we changed dates) when problems came up. As a former DJ myself, I would very highly recommend him to any couple planning a wedding reception or any event for that matter.

Extremly flexible and easy to work with. Music was always appropriate. We didn't have alot of requests, so relied heavily on his taste. Worked out great! Loved the fact he gave us a CD of our songs. A nice touch, and wonderful way to remember our Day!
