i was fortunate to have found michael when he was just breaking into wedding photography, especially since we had a beer budget and have champagne tastes as far as photography is concerned. both my husband and i were instantly taken by his warm, laid-back personality. despite both being rather camera-shy, we knew that we would be comfortable in front of him on our wedding day. even with only a few weddings under his belt at the time, his portfolio showed obvious talent, understanding of the types of shots brides and grooms want, and an impressive range.

we loved his enthusiasm and creativity in trying a new venue for our engagement photos. he was present for every moment of our 15 hour + wedding day, and we love both the candid moments and casual portraits he caught of us, our guests, and the event. as evidenced throughout this bio and my planning bio [link to epics in planning bio], his work speaks for itself. he was also prompt to respond, had our online proofs up in record time, and was another vendor that our other vendors truly enjoyed working alongside.

If there were a six-star rating, I would give it to Michael Norwood! Working with him was exactly what you would hope to have from a wedding photographer - he is fun to work with, reliable and responsive, and his work is stunning. He shot our engagement photos as part of our wedding package, and we were so delighted with them that we asked him to create a guestbook for us using the images. The guestbook came out amazing, and we got many compliments on it. On the day of the wedding, he took care to make sure that he got photos of every little detail of every moment of the day. The results are beautiful!

Michael went above and beyond! I absolutely love his style of photography. We had a blast with him while we were getting ready and at the reception. He has a great sense of humor and our bridal party was immediately comfortable around him just like we were. He traveled to TX for our engagement pictures and did an amazing job! I can't say enough good things about him.

Hire Michael while you can afford him. His prices will be moving sky high in a few years, I'm quite sure. His work is amazing. Check out his blog and you will be blown away. He is SO QUICK to respond to any sort of question, even when he's out of town. I had my engagement pictures back within a week and my wedding pictures within a month (and he went out of town for a week during that month!) He is a cheerful guy, super laid back, ultra talented...overall a must hire. He is one of the vendors I was most happiest with on my wedding day. What an unbelievable talent...the fact that he's easy to work with is icing on the cake. My husband practically breaks out in hives over the idea for posing for pictures, but he was entirely comfortable with Michael. Highly, highly recommend. I agree with the reviewer that said she wishes she could give him a 6 star rating. I'd do the same if I could.

His work speaks for itself. He is such a talented photojournalistic photographer and to top it off a great guy! If you are on a budget I suggest booking him before his prices go way up as his popularity grows. Cannot go wrong with Michael as your photographer.

Michael is my utmost favorite vendor. He is talented, passionate about his work, a very pleasant and comfortable person to work with, and extremely professional.

At our engagement photo session, he arrived half an hour early. He was so warm and personable that even my camera shy husband was able to pose for the camera and have good pictures taken. We were thrilled by the engagement pictures and couldn't wait for the wedding itself :).

At the wedding, he took pictures of all the important things without my having to ask for them -- the details, my mom tearing up at the bouquet giving in the ceremony, the 2 best men's joint toast, the dance-off between two guests at the reception, my little niece dancing with her dad, my husband's squeezing my hand at the altar as we listened to my college pastor's sermon, my maid-of-honor smiling as she watched me exchange vows, etc. There were so many good moments at the wedding that I wholeheartedly wished I could remember forever, and Michael's pictures made this possible.

We loved that his photographs exploit the contrast of colors and textures in a refreshing way. A lot of wedding pictures end up looking the same, but Michael's creativity and talent made ours so artistic, captivating, and gently beautiful. I love Michael and his works, and I really wish everyone could have him as a their photographer.
