Michael's Bridal Galleria

I heard about Michael's through my sister in-law becuase that is where she got her dress. They were so helpfull, and knew what dresses would look good on my figure and didn't try to gear me towards something that I would not like. They allowed us to make payments since the day I went to look I wasn't planning on buying a dress but I found the one and it was a off the rack dress so I needed to buy it then and there due to it being discontinued. They also ordered my bridesmaids dresses and everyone loved them because they were comfortable and when I found them at a lower price on the internet and called and told them they lowered the price for me. I would recommend for everyone to go there. You get the personalized service and are not rushed becuase they have another appointment in 20 minutes.

I am so happy that I bought my dress from Michaels and that they were responsible for the alterations. After getting to the store, I told them the type of wedding I was having and what I was looking for and they selected me the perfect dress within minutes (it was a dress I would have never picked off the rack). Yolanda, the owner and seamstress, is exceptionally talented at what she does. My dress was too big because I had to use the sample size (they had discontinued the style) and she made it look as if it were made for me. Whenever I was there I felt like I had their complete attention and that I was the only bride they were working with (even though they had so many other clients). Please go here - they deserve your business.

This is the best place to get your dress! They have every style, all attention is on you and they don't mess around! They are located in St. Augustine. I had gone to a bridal salon in Daytona and they all sucked. I saw a lady there trying on dresses and told her to go to Michael's. That's how good they are!

It's a rather sketchy-looking entrance, but once you get down the steps it is a great place. Friendly staff and lots of nice dresses and change rooms. The alterations to my dress actually cost more than my dress itself (I got it on sale), but she was very knowledgeable and did a pretty good job (though it did take longer than I expected). Pricey but good - just make sure you have enough time.

Yolanda at Michael's bridal Galleria was wonderful. She took my gown which needed serious alterations due to previous spinal surgery, and worked endlessly to make it just right. She was conservative in all the alterations (using scrap fabric to get the exact size correctly before cutting up my gown) and explained how she intended to make the gown fit just right, without looking like it was altered. The end result was impressive and I was very happy with all her hard work. My costs were considerable, due to the extent of my alterations, but I feel it was a fair price for all the many hours she spent on my gown. I would recommend Michael's Bridal Galleria for both finding your perfect wedding gown and for attire for the whole wedding party.

If you want good service as a bride, go to Michael's. If you are looking to dress your entire bridal party, look elsewhere. I visited the salon on two occasions - first for my wedding dress, and then for my bridesmaid dresses. While the service for brides is good, the service for bridesmaids was lacking. I had two plus-sized bridesmaids, and instead of talking to me about my selection of dresses, they embarassed those girls in the middle of the crowded floor. I was very upset by the lack of service provided to girls who were about to spend money on dresses there. I would not recommend them for anything other than bridal gowns.
