I could not be more pleased with Paul from Michelle Lawson Photography!!! Having Paul photograph our wedding felt like we had a member of the family photographing with us. His fun and animated personality fit right in with ours. Everyone in the wedding party, including myself and the groom, really enjoyed the whole photo process. Prior to my own wedding I had been in nine weddings and never had such a wonderful experience as I did with Paul. I'm still hearing positive comments about how wonderful our photographer was.

Our wedding was a destination wedding so we had to plan everything online and did not have the time to fly to Florida for pre wedding pictures or all the that. I was a little bit worried how everything would work out but Michelle Lawson Photography definitely was the best choice. It was so easy to work with them before the wedding and we always got quick replies for answers and when Steve (our photographer for our wedding) shot our pictures, he was very professional and knew what he was doing. In the beginning, my husband and I had no idea what to do on our wedding pictures but Steve had GREAT ideas and also let our own ideas flow in.

I was running late on the wedding day and Steve was great about it. Not once did he say anything to me about it, or act impatient or irritated (like my violinist did). He took awesome shots, and does it in a way where you barely know he is there. Even getting ready, there is no awkwardness, it was totally comfortable, and he is funny, so that definitely helps :). I am so glad I was able to book him. I already have been recommending him...

We used MLP for photos and video.. We were so thrilled with Vinny as our videographer.. and Paul as our photographer we haven't seen our video or pictures yet - but we know it will be amazing!
Vinny was so polite and helpful on the day of the wedding.. anytime things got hectic he was the first to say don't worry were going to get a great shot .. he even offered to help my husband put on his cuff links while he was getting ready.. he felt more like a friend than a vendor.

There are so many wonderful things to say about Michelle Lawson Photography that I don't even know where to begin! Working with Steve Lawson has been amazing; he is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but his personality and vibe is just as awesome. When I first spoke to Steve over the phone, his passion, enthusiasm, and commitment were evident, and it was clear immediately that this was the guy that we wanted to capture our big day. We met to do the engagement photos, and Steve immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. We ended up with some really gorgeous engagement photos and we became so grateful that he was going to shoot our wedding. Our wedding was just a few weekends ago, and it was incredible. Steve was amazing, as was Tara (his assistant), and Vinny (the videographer). All 3 of them were super friendly, warm, enthusiastic, and made us feel SO SPECIAL! Just over a week later we got all ~2000 photos back and they are AMAZING! We are beyond grateful to have these photos and we will treasure them for years to come. All of our guests, friends, and families have been also raving about the photographers, mentioning not only how talented they were but what great personalities they had. Although we haven't received the pictures yet (Our wedding was just last weekend) the overall experience was great. I am confident that the pictures will be too. Where can I start to say that everyone you work with in this company is completely amazing! Steve, the owner is very organized and easy to work with. When he says they love what they do, it really shows. I really don't have enough words to say how completely happy I am with Michelle Lawson Photography. Paul was our photographer and he couldn't have been better. He was EVERYWHERE, shooting non-stop for about 12 hours straight, with no complaints. We did not have much lead time in planning the wedding but my research led me to Michelle Lawson Photography. They were helpful and always answered my questions and concerns promptly. I really liked their style of wedding
photos which was not stuffy and run of the mill. The photographer was at the
venue early and took hundreds of photos. It was an outdoor ceremony and
it started raining as soon as the vows were finished and everyone was soaken
wet but he managed to make everyone laugh and took some very fun photos.
At the reception, his photos were both elegant and fun. We received the edited photos in a few weeks (not months like some places) and they were wonderful. Plus we own the photos, not the photography studio, which I love.
Their prices were very reasonable and I can't say enough good things about
our experience with Michelle Lawson Photography. I was not the bride but a family member and I contracted for this sevice as a gift to the bride and groom.

It was amazing working with Steve at Michelle Lawson Photography. I was an out of town bride, so I never met Steve before the day of our wedding. The planning leading up to our big day as well as our Wedding day exceeded our expectations. I wish that I lived closer because I would recommed Steve to all of our friends. He is amazing and SO personable. I had so many guests come up to me the day after our wedding to say what an amazing job he did. I really can't say it enough how great he was. I did my research before deciding on Steve, I think he was 3rd on my list and even after our initial phone call I knew he would be the photographer that we chose!

Steve Lawson is an amazing genius! There is no other way you can describe it. He absolutely LOVES what he does and it truly shows. He is all about the "client" and wants to get everything you suggest plus more!

He arrived at our venue (Acqualina) around 7:00 am and didn't stop shooting pictures until we threw him out at 5:30 pm. He did "traditional" photos of preparations running between my room, my husband's room and then the Jewish Tish and Bendenken. He constantly snapped in the moment pictures at the reception (brunch) and then a casual photo shoot on the beach of our family and then even entertained my daughter and her four best friends with their own photo shoot on the beach and in the water. Yes, he took them into the water and shot pictures of them diving/falling back into the ocean and sand. The group of teens felt so included and honored. They adored Steve! And we all can't wait to see the pictures.

Steve made a number of suggestions and implemented them - things that we wouldn't have thought of. He was unintrusive and worked around the guests. Our friends and family absolutely loved him as he kept them laughing the entire time. His assistant, Rob, was wonderful also.

I need to be honest and saying I was a bit hesitant initially with his price; however, after experiencing him - he was WELL WORTH every cent! I am so glad I went with my gut.

I can't wait to see the pictures! If we ever need a photographer in S.FLA again - we will be calling him in a heartbeat with reservation!

I first found Steve about two years before my wedding, to many this would be a problem. He was so responsive with all of my questions, even two years in advance, he said I could call/ contact him any time. It was comforting to know that with all that time nothing would get lost in the process.
Week before the wedding arrived and it was like no time had passed, we went over specific shots that I might have wanted, although I had seen his body of work and I wanted him to take control, his pictures were soo amazing. He arrived right in the morning at the hair salon the day of and did not leave until me and my husband left the reception. AMAZING!!!
I have gotten soo many compliments on the pictures and they only became available yesterday online. Oh and the speed at which the pictures are available I would highly recommend him to anyone else- they don't keep you waiting for long and the result is awesome.
To sum up, I would definitely recommend Michelle Lawson Photography to anyone that is getting married and needs a photographer, awesome can not describe them. Just take a look at the pictures and they speak for themselves. I could not be happier!!!!!

The last thing you want to think about on your big day is whether or not vendors are doing their jobs and with the reliable business from Michelle Lawson Photography, there is not an ounce of worry or panic that went through my mind! Our photographer worked the entire program, making sure key events were not missed and no guest was forgotten. For being limited to only one photographer (would recommend two if you can afford!), I think that our photos exceeded expectations. I rated both quality of service and flexibility a tad lower to account for out-of-town limitations and separate locations for ceremony, cocktail hour & reception that limited our photographer's sphere of capture, but we are otherwise VERY pleased with the service and are happy to endorse Michelle Lawson Photography to any couple looking for the best photography service in South Florida!

My husband and I hired Michelle Lawson Photography prior meeting them (we live out of town). We handled all of our communication through email, and it was enough to convince us that they were the right company for us. When we finally did get to meet them a few months before the wedding, we knew 100% we made the right decision. Steve had a lot of great back up ideas for the day of in case of bad weather. On the day of the wedding, Steve and Vinny (the videographer) showed up on time and ready to work. It ended up raining and Steve had an immediate idea to make up for our beach pictures. Steve and Vinny were very nice and did whatever picture or video was asked of them. When they weren't doing organized footage, they were busy capturing every moment of our night. We just received the pictures from Steve today (video is still being worked on, it's only been about 2 1/2 weeks, so no biggy) there were over a 1000 pictures and they all looked fabulous. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Michelle Lawson Photography has been incredible. We spoke with a few other photographers before we found Steve Lawson and were so disappointed. Every other photographer was all about themselves and their ideas and wants and needs. We found the COMPLETE opposite when we spoke to Steve. He was up and ready to accommodate us and our wants and needs right away. He has incredible suggestions and ideas but, he really made sure to listen to what we were looking for. EVERYONE at our wedding is still talking about Steve and how much fun he was. He made it a blast to get the photos done and had a great time with our guests. Looking at the finished product now is incredible. We are brought right back to our day. The photos came out UNBELIEVABLE. Every single one edited to perfection. It feels like our day all over again. Where do I begin?!?! If perfection was a photographer, Steve Lawson would be it! I have been in my share of weddings, and I have never had as much with a photographer as I had with Steve. Even every single guest at the wedding loved Steve and raved about him. From the second we met him, Dan and I knew that this would be the photographer we would hire. His work on his website does not do him justice. He is 10000 times better then the photos can show! He has great communication and a positive outgoing attitude, which makes it hard for anyone not to like him. He arrived at the Pelican Grand around 10:30am and the laughing didn’t end until he left, I think it was close to midnight! He even told me that I was one of the most laid back brides ever! The best part about Steve is that he joins in on all the fun that the wedding is having and captures PURE moments. He jokes with people to get their natural smiles out. He even suggests things to make your “photo ops” more appealing. I’ll give you a little example, Bridal Party + Pool + All our Clothes = PERFECTION! The way I look at it is that the photography is what lasts from your wedding memories, why not have someone document it. Steve Lawson doesn’t take just standing posed pictures, he documents the entire night and tells a story with his camera. I cannot wait to see these photos!

What can I say; Vinny had some interesting moments with my group of family and friends. We are a crazy bunch and oh boy did he enjoy it. He was everywhere at the perfect moment to catch the perfect shot, even when we warned him about being in certain areas for the “strip show” and “dance off”. I can’t wait to see the video!!! Steve Lawson ROCKS!!! (and I am a fellow professional photographer- so I kinda know what im talking about-lol) He photographed our engagement session and our wedding and the photos are gorgeous!! We also used his company to set up and shoot the "photo wall" at our wedding and it was a HUGE hit with the guests :O))) the pictures are great!!

When I began planning my wedding I knew that Photography would be the most important decision I would have to make. So many of my married friends and family kept telling me the day would fly by and I didn't want to miss a moment! I spent endless hours looking through websites, magazines and referrals to find the "one" that would catch my eye.. I finally found that in Michelle Lawson Photography. The moment I saw their pictures I knew I had to have them capture my day.

I immediately called and spoke to Steve. His energy and enthusiasm came through over the phone and he seemed just as excited to speak to me as I was to find him!! Come to find out.. he's a busy man and my date was booked months in advance. I got off the phone feeling.. well.. heartbroken! I spent the next couple of days going back to the drawing board and looking for option B. Unfortunately I could not stop thinking of Michelle Lawson Photography.. I called Steve back and asked him if he was available in the morning? He said "Have you ever thought of changing the date"? Thankfully Steve is well respected and liked in the Wedding community and within hours he assisted me in calling my venue to change the date. I would now be getting married on St. Patrick's Day (A Blessing in disguise!).

From their I met Steve in person and was in awe of how passionate and excited he is about his Art. I knew I had made the right choice. I booked Steve for my Engagement photos, Rehearsal dinner and Wedding. Throughout this entire process and even now Steve has made me feel like the most important Bride in his very busy world. No matter when or what time I called, e-mailed or texted, he always was there to answer my questions. All of my 4000+ pictures came out AMAZING and I am so happy I was lucky enough to book Steve and his crew to capture my Wedding Day! I look forward to having Steve capture many more of my life milestones for years to come.

I cannot give enough praise to Steve Lawson at Michelle Lawson Photography.

I saw Steve Lawson's work in a sample album at Pelican Grand Beach Resort (where we got married) and I instantly knew I wanted him to shoot my wedding. I checked out his website and was blown away, but I still looked into a few other photographers just in case. I ended up being surprised to find that Steve was not only the best of the four I narrowed it down to, but also the most affordable. He offered us exactly what we wanted: lots of time, tons of photos, and full digital rights to all images (and fully edited at that!).

When I called Steve to book him, he was already taken for my day, so we went ahead and hired one of the other photographers with the company anyway, but when we went for our engagement photos, Steve told us that his other bride had backed out and he'd be shooing our wedding. We were overjoyed, and the engagement shoot was BEAUTIFUL. He also got the photos back to us pretty fast (maybe 3 weeks or so, which was great considering that the holidays and the New Year fell in between).

And then there was the wedding day. Steve has an amazing personality; everyone got along with him so well, my husband and I, my mom, our attendants, everyone. When you hire Steve for the day, you get him for the WHOLE day, so he was at the salon with us girls as we got our hair and makeup done, with the men as they got ready, and back to us as we got ready, for the ceremony, the entire reception, and then for a private moment my husband and I shared after the ceremony (our alternative to a first look since we wanted to wait for the aisle to see each other). Then, just hours later, he had 6 amazing photos up on Facebook as a teaser. The comments from friends and family about these fantastic photos have been pouring in. We cannot wait to get all our photos back!

As if his skills as a photographer were not enough, Steve did even more for us by suggesting the absolute best florist and DJ. I was having a terrible time finding a good florist that fit our budget, and Steve saved the day with his suggestion (Bobby at Panache Style--that's another review in itself). I cannot thank Steve enough for having been such an important part of making our wedding day special!

I really don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. Steve was very straightforward and has gone above and beyond what he promised. Thank you, Steve Lawson. Every bride who hires you has chosen well!

I just got married last week, so I haven't seen finished photos yet, but I can tell you this -- working with Steve Lawson was wonderful. He was responsive to emails, professional, warm, and kept the bridal party and this bride smiling on a day when I was a little more high-strung than usual, to say the least. He showed up early in the day, stayed the entire time (14 hrs?!), was warm with my guests, who LOVED him, kept me calm, and shot the entire night. My guests also liked that he answered their photography questions and clearly loved his craft as he helped them set up their own photos/adjust camera settings. How nice to know he was as nice to my guests as he was to me! His "No Photo Left Behind" philosophy seems amazingly fair to the bride and groom and he was just so nice to work with! I'm sure I'll review again, raving about the photos, after I see them. Thank you, Steve!!! Oh, AND, his videographer, Losandro, was also excellent. (I interacted with him less simply due to Steve being my point of contact prior to the wedding.)

Photography was the one of the most important elements for my wedding and Michelle Lawson was exceptional! From my first conversation with Steve (Lawson) I knew this was the right fit. His excitement for my wedding day was as if I was a personal friend of his. When he arrived the day of the wedding the energy he brought to my suite was amazing and it didn't stop there! My friends and family couldn't rave enough about Steve and his assistant. They were beyond professional and so creative! When I received my photos I was in shock to see the number of pictures he was able to take and all the creative touches he was able to add. It was exactly what I wanted. Then I received my wedding montage video...AMAZING! It was beautiful work and brought tears to my eyes.

I see tons of photographers, but Steve has something that no other photographer possess- personality!!!!! He is able to connect with you on such a level that he see things for you. There are details on my wedding day that I didn't get to see because I was so busy, I go back through the pictures in amazement at his ability to capture ever single one of life's details. He didn't miss a thing- from the crazy dancing to intricate detail shots. I am one of the lucky brides who can say that I had a "Michelle Lawson Photographed Wedding"- hopefully you can too!

Clearly you take my favorite pictures, cant you tell by the 500 tags! It is always great news when a bride tells me they booked Michelle Lawson Photography...I know that bride is about to have the most amazing day of her life! Working together forever sounds like a good contract to me!!!!!! :)
