i wish that i could give mika inatome more stars! she is incredibly talented and has the most wonderful personality. i am really surprised she doesn't have more reviews! by looking at her website you would never know what she is capable of. she can make anything! i feel like the luckiest bride because i was able to create a one of a kind custom gown with mika.
i think that i went to every single wedding gown store in manhattan and long island. i went to budget friendly places and high end wedding salons hoping to find the perfect gown. there were definitely some beautiful ones for sure, but none that felt like me. mika inatome created the most gorgeous dress for me, something that i never could've imagined or even knew was what i was envisioning. there is definitely nothing even similar to my dress in stores, which makes it even more special. we worked together to create a style from different images and inspirations i had shared with her. during the whole process she was so patient, so fun to work with and loving. i am not the easiest person to work with as i'm so particular about every single detail big and small. she was always kind and listened to everything that i asked for with a smile, tweaking along the way. i know that all she wanted to do was make the most amazing gown for me and for me to feel beautiful on my wedding day. i did!! mika is someone who is so passionate about her work and will not stop until you have the dress of your dreams.
i would recommend mika inatome to anyone who wants a one of a kind special wedding dress. you will not believe what the finished product looks like! completely couture! every time i went for a fitting i would see other dresses that she was working on. each one was so different and so stunning in it's own way. i was a little sad to pick up my dress because that meant my visits were over. i miss her already! i just can't say enough as there are no words to describe her talent and beauty as a person

Mika created an amazing wedding dress for me, she is fantastic to work with and so talented. She listened to my general ideas and sketched out the exact wedding dress that I had been hunting for. Mika took the time to work with me on all of the dress details including creating beautiful handmade swarovski crystal designs and fitting the dress so exactly to my figure. She is patient and walked me through step by step. I really enjoyed working with Mika through out the entire design and creation process. I received so many compliments from guests at my wedding! The dress was so comfortable and easy to dance in that I didn’t want to take it off at the end of the night. I love that my dress is truly one of a kind! Thanks Mika!!!

I want to tell you from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day.
People cautioned me with doing a custom wedding dress – giving me horror stories of their own experiences or of stories from people they knew, so I was very nervous going into it but everything I saw in the stores just felt impersonal and generic. It didn’t feel like “me.” I’m SO happy that I followed my instincts and signed on with you!
You took my random sketch and magazine clippings and literally read my mind. You listened to my every request and exceeded ALL of my expectations. The fabric suggestions and style recommendations were exactly what I wanted. I could not have asked for a better designer!
I wanted something that would honor my Korean heritage but would not be too traditional since I’m adopted and far from the traditional type. You managed to interpret my request amazingly which really meant the world to me.
And on the big day, I received SO many compliments on my dress – how unique it was, how beautiful it was, how radiant I looked, how happy I was… you made that possible. THANK YOU for making me feel so special! It is truly magical what the right dress can do for a girl.

I told Mika some general details I wanted on my gown and within minutes, she had sketched the perfect dress! She really listened and helped me visualize my dress. We started with the initial fitting and I loved watching my dress in the creation process with each visit to New York. The end result was a beautiful dress! Mika added front and back pleated details and strategically applied Alençon lace appliqués all over the dress. Hand-beaded Swarovski crystals were sewn onto each lace appliqué. I loved the low cut back that was embellished with covered buttons. The dress was light-weight and comfortable so I could move around freely all day. I wore Mika's custom bridal wedges which matched the dress perfectly. It had covered buttons at the back with satin ribbon ankle wrap. The shoes came packaged in a pretty blue box which I now use to store wedding keepsakes. :) She also customized my cathedral veil with some of the same lace details as my dress. Mika is so talented and such a pleasure to work with!! Her energy is contagious!

Mika Inatome made my wedding dress shopping so easy and created the wedding dress of my dreams! She is so easy to get along with, and saw my vision entirely! I traveled to NYC for a custom dress maker and this was a perfect pick. The designer is top notch and the dress was beyond my dreams. WOW, is what everyone was saying to me. My picture perfect day was complete with this dress.

Mika is a doll! I bought a mermaid shaped dress from her sample sale and she threw in alterations for free. For any bride with a mermaid shaped dress, you know it must fit like a glove! Mika spent hours and hours altering every detail of my dress to make it fit like perfection. All her embroidery is hand-sewn and she has the best attention to detail. She is also very caring and she works to make sure the bride is happy. In Mika, I not only found a fabulous, one-of-a-kind dress, I found a great friend.
