I dont think I could say enough great things about Mike Richards Photography!! Mike & his wife are SO much fun & my husband and I were so happy we chose them to do our photography for our wedding day! We were just married on September 4th & Mike & Lauren did such a wonderful job on all of our photos! People were just raving about them during the wedding day & after! I definitely wouldnt even think twice about picking Mike & Lauren to do my photos for any event!! We will definitely be using them again in the future!! Thanks guys for EVERYTHING!!!

Mike Richards and his wife Lauren are AWESOME! There is no possible way we could have picked a better photograper. Not only were their pictures amazing but their keen sense of beauty and unique shots were fabulous. They were an absolute joy to work with. He is an amazing photographer! Very easy to work with. I have been to a couple other weddings and the photographers never seemed as upbeat and fast as he was the day of my wedding. Most people just want to make it to the reception after the ceremony and not sit around and wait for pictures. But Mike was very organized and kept everything moving and the pictures turned out so amazing! I know the girls in my wedding have already told me that they want him for when they get married! Thank you sooo much Mike and Lauren for making our day so special!

About Mike Richards Photography
Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself. (as she laughs)
A. Well, I am a proud husband (wife smiles) and father to a wonderful little girl. I was born and raised here in Central Florida. And, I have a passion for photography, weddings specifically.
Q. How sweet! Why do you love photography so much?
A. Well photography started off as a great release for me. I began my career in photography with wildlife. While I love wildlife photography, I still felt like I needed to do something else with photography. So, I started photographing people, mostly street photography but that became dangerous!
I then was offered a full-time position as a product photographer for a local catalog company, where I currently work during the week. This is when it became more than just a hobby/release. I then decided to try my hand at portrait photography but I am truly more of photojournalist...that is when I discovered the art of wedding photography!
Q. What do you love most about weddings?
A. Good question...do you have 20 mins? haha I remember the day that we got married and its really something special that only a bride and groom know. I remember the emotions that I felt that day and today when I look at the photos, I can still feel those emotions. I will never forget how beautiful my future wife looked as she walked down the isle.
Still to this day I can remember my first wedding as a photographer. It was so amazing to watch the bride in the bridal room with her friends and family. I remember thinking, I wonder what my wife did in here. Then we went off to see the groom and it was like I was reliving one of the best days of my life!
I love being able to share such an amazing day with my brides and grooms. Generally, only their closest friends and families get to see what I see.
Q. Anything else that you would like to add?
A. Yes! There are many photographers to choose from and there is only one thing that makes us different. Its our eyes. No other photographer sees what I see and vice versa. I like to take a photojournalistic approach to weddings and not only get the must have shots but also get the candid.
