Millennium Bostonian Hotel

My husband and I were recently married here and I honestly do not think it could have been any better from day one !

I worked with Ashley who was hands down one of the most professional, accomodating, responsive, customer service oriented people I have ever worked with. She literally would respond to my emails within minutes, and some days I'm sure I sent more than my fair share of emails but there was never a delay in her response timing.

The entire night went off without a hitch, completely seamless, from the moment I arrived. All night long our guests were coming up to us to let us know how great something was whether it was the food, the service or the view!

I had a lot of DYI at my wedding and the Millennium was there with open arms to my crafts and Ashley was more than ready to assist in organizing and arranging.

I could go on and on about how absolutely fabulous everything was but in summary, do not miss your chance to work with unbelievable team at an equal as incredible...

The Millennium Bostonian hotel was a wonderful venue for a winter wedding in the city! Ashley Baker, my wedding coordinator was so attentive it was almost shocking and a huge part of my deciding to choose the Millennium. Ashley responded to each email i sent withing 2 hours (during business hours) and never made me feel bothersome. On the day of my wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing. Literally everything was taken care of for me. I dropped my centerpieces and ceremony decor off disassembled the day before the event and they put it all together and took it all down without question. They also packed everything up neatly and stored it with the valet for easy removal.
One downside was the value, although it's probably the most competitive of the hotels in Boston, we had some surprise charges. They offered us a room for the bridal party to use during cocktail hour which was an additional $800 that we weren't aware of. Honestly that room proved useless as we could have just as easily gone to the bridal suite. If you're planning to take photos during cocktail hour make sure you don't agree to use this room!! Also, it stinks that the parking is super expensive and valet only. The hotel should really come into the present and offer free wi-fi to all it's guests.
The food could have been a bit better. Our tasting was fantastic, but the actual wedding meal was sub-par. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the tasting, but I was surprised by how different it was. Also, we ordered mac n cheese for some of the kids, at $20 a plate I think serving them Kraft is really ridiculous.
I honestly loved my experience! I felt totally at ease the whole time and I was completely taken care of. Ashley Baker is a real professional!

Amazing venue with incredible food, service and views!

The best, most unique venue in Boston! I worked with Kim Earnheardt and Michelle Micozzi as wedding coordinators and they were both amazing. Michelle was so patient and kind and on top of everything. She makes a bride calm...a very unique quality. I had trust in everything. The Food and Beverage manager was so accommodating at the wedding, making sure everything was ok. Michelle seemed to be over my shoulder whenever I needed her. It was the truly remarkable and I could not have asked for a better new years eve wedding!! The reservations staff was accommodating to all my out of state guests as well! Thank yOU!

One of the reasons my wedding exceeded my (and my guests) expectations was my venue. Let me first say that working with Millennium was a pleasure. The coordinators were always really responsive, and super reasonable. I know I always had a ton of questions and changed things around a lot and they were always really accommodating. It offered everything I was looking for: 1. We were the only event for the day 2. Fantastic food (EVERYONE told us how GREAT the food was, but I had already known that from the tastings *smile*) 3. A post reception area to continue partying (they will block off a portion of the restaurant for your guests) 4. High quality service (the room set-up was gorgeous, and the service was perfect. An example was that I didn't have time to eat my dinner, so the staff asked if I wanted them to bring to back to the kitchen to keep it warm, I said no so instead they wrapped it up and set it up in my room so I could eat it after the wedding (like I asked)).

Depending on your budget the venue wasn't a little pricey, but it was worth EVERY penny. Not to mention their open bar is really cheap (one of the many reasons we choose this venue). I got SO many compliments from my guests saying how perfect everything was, and how it was the best wedding they had ever gone to. I want to also take the the time to say how with the new rennovations, Millenium doesn't have the blah hotel feel. It has a gorgeous view of the city with and entire wall of Juliet balconies and a glass. It looks SUPER modern even the cocktail tables are fantastic looking.

Kim was awasome with everything! She is a true Professional. Even when I had questions she was right there. Thank you Kim!

The experience was equal to none....it was an unforgettable experience. The staff at the Millennium is helpful and went out of their way to make sure the event was special and the guest every request was met. Many guest said it was the best reception they have attended. I would not hesitate to recommend the Millennium to any one planning an event for a special occasion.

We visited 7 venues: Millennium, State Room, Hyatt Harborside, Boston Harbor Hotel, Renaissance, Liberty and the Seaport. Our musts: a modern ballroom with a view and package pricing (we didn’t want a surprise bill after the wedding). The Millennium had all of this. They just remodeled last year so everything is brand spanking new. I do have to admit, this made me a bit nervous. I searched the internet and the Knot for reviews but there weren’t many. One bride said she had a wonderful brunch and that made me feel better. We also felt very confident with our coordinator Kim Ehrhardt. We met her for our tour then worked with someone else (who we also loved). She left about a month before the wedding but, since we already knew Kim, we were very comfortable with the change (turnover seems to be an issue at all hotels so it didn’t surprise us). Kim was really great to us. She even came in on her day off to our ceremony rehearsal.

We had our room block, ceremony, cocktail, reception and day after breakfast all at the Millennium. The space is great and the view is spectacular (obviously not the State Room but still exceptional). The ballroom has a greenhouse type of roof so, at night, you can see all the illuminated buildings, including the clock tower from your seat. The cocktail area is a foyer right outside of the ceremony/reception space. It also has windows and foliage so there isn't a need to decorate.

Pricing was very good. We paid pp for the entrée, open bar and that’s it. Our cake, cocktail hour (drinks and hors d’oeuvres), chivari chairs in our choice of color (usually $5-$7pp) were all included. We had a free bridal suite, two room upgrades for guests and we got to use two conference rooms for pre-ceremony stuff and kids.

After our first tasting, we couldn’t decide so they allowed us to have another free tasting. We also didn’t like their house wine and they had a wine tasting for us and allowed us to upgrade for $4/pp more. It was totally worth it because we got compliments on our wine selections.

People are still raving about the food. I was very concerned there wouldn’t be enough food at the cocktail hour but I’m glad we didn’t add more (at an additional cost) because there was plenty of food. We had a few guests with gluten allergies and they were taken care of. We had an issue with our gluten-free cupcakes but, without worrying me on my wedding day, Kim asked the chef to make a chocolate mousse and served that instead. I didn’t even find out until after the wedding and I'm glad she took the initiative to make my guests happy.

I had a list of specific details that I wanted executed: photo display, escort cards, programs and favors. Kim and her team executed perfectly which made me very, very happy. I didn't have to worry at all.

The only slight issue we had was our room block. In order to have a large number of rooms, we had to sign a contract. We didn’t want to do this because of the financial responsibility (guests can be flaky). They said they could block 10 rooms without a contract. Unfortunately, some key people in our family waited and didn’t make the room block. I called and they extended it but at a higher price. It was our family’s fault but it made my life a bit stressful. I bring this up because I ended up creating another block at a different hotel with no contract and a large amount of rooms. It was so simple unlike at the Millennium. No biggie but something to think about if you need a big room block.

We had a perfect day and I would highly recommend the Millennium.
