Overall, I am extremely happy with my Milly experience. I changed my mind a few times in terms of what I wanted and if I were to do this all over again, I would definitely know exactly what I want (in as few dress pics as possible) and stick to it. That being said, as indecisive as I was, Milly was very patient with me and still made all the changes I wanted.

My only complaints would be 1) They initially made my dress with the wrong neckline (They fixed this, but it did take time. Luckily, I wasn't in a huge rush); 2) I did not know that my dress did not come with any built in crinoline. When I asked if it could be added, they said they already lined the dress and that they would have to remake the dress if i wanted it added (I just wish that they would have asked me as I just assumed it came with it) and 3) I wanted the back to be a little lower. I sent pictures, drew pictures and it didn't end up exactly like i wanted on my final dress. Again, they said they would have to remake my dress if I wanted to change it. In all cases, the bottom line is they would have fixed it. I just loved the rest of my dress so much, I didn't want to risk those areas being different if they remade it.

As for the end product, my dress is absolutely gorgeous!!! It looks and feels like all the dresses I have tried on in bridal salons - the boning is excellent, the material is thick and lush and the overall quality exceeded my expectations. The back of my dress even looks lower on me than it did in the photos. It also fits perfectly per the measurements I gave them. All in all, I would rate the process/communication a 3.5 and my final dress a 4.5 (out of 5). I would 100% go through this process again and in my opinion, it was completely worth it. I got a gorgeous dress made specifically for me at a fraction of the price!

Awful would not recommend. Totally getting the runaround. Ordered in January and still have not received my test pictures. There is no way that I'd recommend this to anyone. SO stessful, and now not sure I'll have a dress in time for my wedding!

Communication: C. I felt that communication between Milly Bridal and myself could have been better. There were times when the communication was great and other times where I thought they had completely forgot about my dress order. I also encountered some difficulty when I requested that they make the bodice of the gown longer in order to achieve the mermaid style (these requests were repeatedly rebuffed despite my obvious concerns).

Timeline: B-. My dress was a month behind schedule. I would never have known had I not continued to follow-up with them.

Product: C+. The dress is equivalent quality to some of the dresses I tried on in boutiques. There were certain area's which I was unhappy with - my dress was made of organza so there are many area's where the organza edging is visibly fraying. I also noticed pen marks beneath some of the ruffle layers (I'm guessing where they marked where the ruffle were to go).

If I could go back in time I definitely would have just purchased a dress off the rack. Although I give Milly Bridal 3 stars I would never want to experience the same level of frustration over a dress ever again. It's just not worth it.

--------- UPDATE JUNE 29, 2010 ---------

I just received my dress from my seamstress/alterations person and she let me know the truth about the gown. She let me know that Milly Bridal was extremely careless with a lot of the ruching on my gown (organza) and that she had to take apart part of the dress to re-work it...but that there were more areas where this couldn't be done.

All in all I would NOT recommend Milly Bridal to anyone. It is a gamble with something you should NOT have to gamble with.

I'm 100% satisfied with my experience with Milly Bridal. From the beginning, they were so quick to respond and to work WITH me. Sometimes the communication can be a LITTLE tricky, but if you are as clear and precise as possible, you will have no problem! You can even chat with them on their website!
I custom designed my own dress. My dress is covered in lace and crystals and it came out beautifully!
Having your dress custom made overseas is tough. You HAVE to be patient and understanding and positive that it's what you want. Otherwise it's not for you. But if you're willing to take the risk the rewards are amazing! They send you pictures of each step and you have to approve it before they continue on, so you always know what you're getting and how your dress is coming along.

I got my DREAM dress for a fraction of the price. I could not be happier and will recommend Milly Bridal to all my loved ones in the future!

I love, love, LOVE the 7 bridesmaid dresses I ordered from Milly Bridal. I HIGHLY recommend. I discovered Milly Bridal after I had already purchased my wedding dress, but I fell in love with bridesmaid dresses that cost $250 off the rack-- and I didn't want to ask my bridesmaids to have to pay that, especially since I knew everyone would need alterations. I simply sent the photo of the dress to Milly Bridal, chose a material and a color (they even sent me a couple color swatches for free), and paid via paypal. The first dress, which I ordered by itself, took a long time to get started-- but it literally only took Milly Bridal 2 weeks (not counting the Chinese New Year, when they are closed for a month) to make AND mail the remaining dresses. The dresses are superb quality, GORGEOUS, made-to-measure-- and all for $75 per dress (plus $25 per dress for shipping; ordinarily $45 but I ordered 7 so the shipping decreased)! I probably saved $200-250 per dress, and they are EXACTLY like the photo of the dress. Plus, Annie was INCREDIBLY sweet and helpful, and sent me photos and updates the whole way through.

I would totally order my wedding dress from them, especially if I fell in love with an expensive designer dress.

One other thing to note: they take all of February off for the Chinese New Year, and spring is their busy season, so just account for extra time if you order around this time.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I ordered and paid for a wedding dress with Milly Bridal in December 2010. The agreed delivery date was the end of March for a wedding at the beginning of May.

As of 28 April, I have no wedding dress - and Milly Bridal has ignored dozens of e-mails and phone calls. The online help is never available.

Milly Bridal did send me photos of a toile version of my dress - which looked wonderful - but that's it. I've paid $250 for a photo of a cotton version of a dress.

I also think that most of the positive reviews of Milly Bridal on this site are fake. They read suspiciously like they've been written by someone whose first language is Cantonese or Mandarin.

So only buy a dress from Milly Bridal if you want to ruin your wedding.

I fully paid for my dress on 1/14/2010. was promised that the dress would be finished by the end of April. received an email from Jessica/Bella (actually everyone who ordered from Milly Bridal did) saying they're backlogged and asking for an absolute "deadtime". I said May 28. As of today (april 23) I have not heard about my dress. They say that they'll send me a test dress photo but with 5 weeks left to the deadline I gave them and I'm sure there will be changes to make, I have not received anything.

I kept on giving them chances to respond to my follow up about the dress but nothing. The last email I sent them asking about my dress remains unanswered (it's been nearly 2 weeks).

I sent an email yesterday asking them to give me a full refund since they have not done any work on my dress. who knows when they'll have any decency to respond.

I choose Milly Bridal because of the great reviews here. but obviously their professionalism and responsiveness has taken a nosedive. and their price is not worth the hassle!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MILLY BRIDAL. BE WARNED!

I just received my dress that I ordered from Milly Bridal in April. I did my research so I expected it to be a nice dress, but when I got the dress today I was absolutely shocked. It is so much nicer than I could have imagined! I have tried on the $2000 dresses and after putting on my MB dress that I paid $220...well needless to say I am VERY pleased. I would highly recommend them to other brides. They were great to work with, highly professional, shipping from China to Georgia was only 3 days. They missed their original deadline by 6 days so they made a matching shawl for me for free. If anyone is interested in seeing pics, email me. I would love to recommend Milly Bridal!

Excellent service. The dress was finished 2 weeks earlier than estimated. I received the dress 3 days after dispatch from China to the UK. It was a perfect fit and attention was paid to the details of this particular dress. I had sent in a photograph of the dress I wanted and they made an exact replica. Thank you Milly Bridal. The only thing that was disappointing were some of the photographs that were sent by e-mail, because they were not very clear. But once again, thank you for your hard work!!

I can't say enough good things about Milly Bridal! They were quick to respond to all my inquiries, and so helpful through the whole process. The process of having a dress custom made halfway across the world can be a nerve-wracking experience, but MB was SO easy to work with. They sent me regular updates of the dress including pictures, and when I wasn't satisfied with a part of the dress, they fixed it RIGHT AWAY.

Along the way, I also wanted to add beading and extra lace to the dress and they integrated it beautifully (for a little big extra). The quality of work and material was superb. It's the same bridal satin (polyester weave) that Maggie Sottero and Casablanca uses. You can also upgrade the material you use to a silk satin or silk chiffon.

All in all, I'm so happy with the service and the dress, and I think I will be ordering my bridesmaids dresses through them!

Milly Bridal Design Studio offer fantastic value dresses, made to measure. I bought 4 bridesmaid dresses from them and they were great quality. Communications were very professional too. Springna is a great advocate for the company. I am very pleased with my dresses and would use Mill Bridal again!!

I ordered a custom made wedding dress and 3 custom made bridesmaid dresses. The service is received from Milly Bridal was fantastic and the standard of work was great. I corresponded with Sheng (from Milly Bridal) several times via online chat and email and found them really helpful at all times.

The only criticism that I do have is regard to the photos which are sent. This was not as big an issue with the bridesmaids' dresses but with the final wedding dress the photos were quite unclear and the dresses was badly 'displayed' with no petticoat underneath. This resulted in me panicing about the colour, standard and shape of the dress. These fears were eleviated when I received the dress and saw the fantastic quality.

I found Milly's really great, they were efficient and helpful when I had any enquiries. The dress is gorgeous, and outstanding value for money. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

Made the dress very quickly and to the design. They sent pictures of it in process and asked and followed any alterations I asked for. Once it was sent to me it had a few problems which they fixed for me when I sent it back. It ended up costing me an extra $50 to send it back, but it stil worked out so much cheaper than alterations in this country (UK). Would heartily recommend.

Milly Bridal have been a Godsend. I ordered a size months ago and with 5 weeks to go, found it didn't fit me at all. They made me a complete new dress and I received it within 2 weeks. that is fantastic service! I also had them make me fur capes for all my bridesmaids which matched the fur edging on my bridal coat. The workmanship is excellent, everything is so well made that they could charge 3 times the price and brides would still be happy. I have my dream dress and would recommend them to anybody without a shadow of a doubt. Thanks Milly Bridal!!

I had a wonderful experience with Milly Bridal. I didn't order one of their ready made dresses, instead they made a custom dress just for me. They had me send pictures of what I wanted then they made prototypes and sent me pictures of those and made adjustments until it was what I wanted. When the dress got here It looked amazing. They had prompt delivery and service. They're representatives were online for immediate chat every night after nine I think. They were always friendly and answered all of my question and explained the process to me in detail. The cost, most of all, was so small compared to everything else I had looked at. They replicated pieces of designer dresses that I picked out (each of which cost over $10,000) and I got it for $355. I would definitely use them again but hope I never have the chance.

I had a great service with Milly Bridal. The communications were excellent and the articles bought exactly like shown and described. It will make my wedding attire look great for a lot less cost then buying in the bridal stores in Quebec Canada.

Milly Bridal were fantastic. The ordering process ran extremely smoothly and they answered emails. Not to mention that the dress was just gorgeous! I would highly recommed them.

I ordered a bridal dress in 2007 on express delivery, the comunication was excellent, and the advisor were there to answer any query's for me, before I ordered and whilst my dress was being made up, My dress arrived in 15 days! (thats standard days not working days)
The dress was amazing the detail on it was just beautiful, whats more no one could have guessed what a bargain it was.

They are wonderful and I can't say that enough. I never do these reviews because I never have the time but for them I am making the time. The dress was wonderful and the most beautiful thing ever. I had a found my dream dress but the price was something I would never be able to afford. Then a friend told me about this shop so I looked them up and sent them a picture of my dream dress and they made it and it looked just like it. They made my night perfect. I can not thank you enough. PS I hope to send more people your way!!!

Milly Bridal was very quick, and made my replica gown (It was a very difficult design, a Victorian gown inspired by Mina's dress in Bram Stoker's Dracula!!) very quickly and they really did a perfect job! They even were very understanding towards any little things I had questions about and they answered my questions usually the same day.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I don't know why more brides don't use it. She is very upfront about what is going on with your dress, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. I was so scared about ordering my dress from this shop but they were wonderful and took it all in stride, and even sent me photos of the progress they made on it.

Wonderful to work with. Timely and affordable. They were quick and effortless. I sent them pictures, measurements, and money -- and the dress of my dreams arrived in my hands, made just for me. I am very pleased with the beautiful gown they made for me, just as I wanted it. The delivery worked terrific and the quality was great. I would give them 5 stars if it wasn't for some swarowski details that was suppose to be there, but where replaced by some other details. Else I am very satisfied and would recomend them for you. I think it is diffult finding someone similar with these prices and quality.

MillyBridal is the best! They made my dress exactly the way I wanted. From top til toe. The price was good, the material was excellent and I was a gorgeous bride on my weddingDay.
Our weddingguests couldn't watch the difference (in material and the sewing) between my MillyBridal-dress and a more expensive dress from other designers.
It was all worth the waiting!

I ordered two different bridesmaid dresses, made to measure from pictures I sent. Both dresses were absolutely gorgeous, excellent quality and exactly like the pictures.

I did not allow much buffer time, and Milly was fantastic in speeding the dresses round the world to me, to make sure they were here in time for my wedding. I was delighted with the quality and service they offered.

Milly Bridal Design Studio made my wedding dress! They were carefully listening to all my changes to the original dress and answered e-mail very quick. The dress was faboluosly beatyful and all the guests vere fashinated. The fabrics were thicker and fell nicer then the dresses I have tried here in Sweden. I also ordered two other dresses, wich I am very satisfied with. I will use one of them on my dissertation party, and then most likely order a new dress from Milly´s to wear on the "promovering" (when my doctor´s degreee is conferred)next year.

I was really happy and suprised for my dress. It was just the way I wanted it to be. Perfect!! Milly Bridal was very helpful all the time: answered my questions and responded my e-mails right away. I was very happy to choose this kind of way to get my wedding dress. I really can recommend it to all!!!! Specially if you want to have a little differend dress. I did´t want to look like all the other brides, so I choose something else.. And milly bridal fulfilled my dream :)
