Photography is very important to me, and after visiting the Milton Gil studio I knew they would be perfect for documenting our wedding day. They were very responsive whenever I had questions or needed suggestions. We had Lou as our main photographer and he was amazing. He has a real passion for what he does and it shows in his work. He kept the mood light and fun while we were doing all the formal shots at our venue, Nanina’s in the Park. He’s been to that venue several times and knew exactly where to take us for the shots, which made the shots go quickly and smoothly. He was never pushy about us getting certain shots. Both him and our second photographer captured what we were looking for, the overall events plus reactions and details. There are so many beautiful photos it’s hard to choose a handful for the album! We already received our Thank You postcards, which was beautifully designed and I can’t wait to see what the final album will look like. Pictures are the best way to remember all the little details of the day and our photographers captured all the memorable details in an unobtrusive way. Thank you for forever preserving our special day on film!

The only photographer/videographer we met with. My husband is a pro photographer, so he recognized their quality right away and would not have felt comfortable going with anyone else. The talent on Milton Gil's staff is immense. Everyone that worked at our wedding was kind and courteous, but also a lot of fun. We laughed at David's jokes during our posed shots and the photographers and videographer worked ALL DAY for us. Even guests were commenting at what a thorough job all the guys did. We can't wait to see the photos, but based upon some preview shots we saw, we figure they'll be amazing.

Lou Grant was our photographer, for our engagement photos and wedding. We haven't even gotten our wedding photos yet (only 2.5 weeks), but I had to write as to how great he was. We loved our engagement photos, and it was a great introduction to the photographer and how he works. He's terribly cheesy, but it works to get you to relax and to smile. He is very choreographed and knows how to get what photos, and that really worked for us. The day of, I noticed how skilled he was. Whenever I felt cheesy posing for something he suggested, or as we were wilting from the heat, he would come over and show us the picture he had taken, and why it was such a great shot. It really helped when you got tired and annoyed at the amount of pictures, and it was nice that he was reading our signals. I can't wait to see the finished product!

VERY expensive cameras taking very routine pictures. You will definitely get enough pictures to fill your album and then some; however, you may find a lot of "almost" shots in the bunch. All of the pictures were extremely crisp - they are working with superior technology. My requests for "out of the box shots" were either ignored or poorly executed. My request for the photographers to be mindful of the environment based on our experience during the engagement session was ignored (i.e. a series of wedding photos of the groom and I standing in the snow, my shoes and gown completely ruined for these shots, and my groom's cousin's Jeep Cherokee behind us smack in the middle of ALL of the shots). I didn't think I could have possibly been more direct with both photographs prior to and during the wedding about what I wanted (I sent them dozens of pictures prior to the event). Don't think "oh they must've gotten a bad photographer - my situation will be different" - Nelson and Lou do all the NY & NJ weddings. Not a mistake, but not my best choice.

Our Photographer was Dave. This is a man of many talents. Not only does he have an amazing eye to catch some really beautiful shots, but he was able to help with a bunch of our other crisis. First, my sister's shoe broke. He sewed it back together for her. Then, we noticed that two of my bridesmaids, who got dropped off at my parents' house, did not have any transportation to the venue. He took the two girls in his car and everyone got there without any trouble. Photos were beautiful. He was really able to catch my expressions throughout the night. There's also so many to choose from.My only complaint is that an important shot was missed. He got everyone walking down the aisle, except my grandmother. Another helpful thing would be to go over the form that you fill out in the weeks before the wedding, in the days before. I don't remember what I wrote about table shots but I must have not written it because I didn't get them.

Words cannot explain how amazing our wedding pictures came! I'm having a hard time choosing the pictures for our wedding album because they are all so good! Lou was our main photographer and he did a great job and was very accommodating to us on the days leading up to our wedding and also on the big day! We received our proofs back in less than two weeks! It was great coming back from the honeymoon and being able to look at all of our pictures so quickly!

When brides who used other photographers recommend Milton Gil to you, then you know they must be good!If you like the photojournalistic style, then this company is for you. Their work is beautiful and service is wonderful. The photographer they originally assigned to me got sick a few days before the wedding, so Milton Gil himself called me to tell me he'd personally photograph my wedding. Milton and our 2nd shooter Chad were fantastic to work with -- very professional, talented, and hardly "in your face" at all.They also said it would take about 3 weeks to get my proofs, and then they called me only a week and half later to tell me they were ready! The proofs look wonderful and the only challenge now will be to pick out only 60 pictures for the album!

We used Milton Gil for our wedding photography and video. We are so happy with the quality and professionalism of the staff. Our photographer Rob, was constantly in communication with us up to the wedding and always showed up on time, exactly when he said he would, was organized and professional and friendly to the wedding party and guests. We absolutely LOVE our wedding pictures, album & video! We recommend Milton Gil absolutely 100% for any couple planning a wedding!

Very professional and excellent service! Our photographers David and Harrison and videographer Kurt were all very good and courteous and most important, on time! We can't wait to see the outcome of pictures and videos, but knowing their professionalism and Dave's picture-taking styles from our Engagement Session, we're positive everything will be perfect. If you are planning on getting married at Florentine Gardens and using Milton Gil as your photographer take a look at the pictures they already took there and you will have the EXACT idea of what you will get, with probably less. You will not receive any new pics or ideas from them. I think they are too comfortable with the location and do not use any new thoughts or ideas to take pictures. I have tons of pictures from people dancing on the dance floor, while my husband and I were walking around and talking to people and do not have one picture of that. Meanwhile I had two photographers. They missed the "dip kiss" after the cake cutting. Also, they never took us outside for a night picture under the beautiful gazebo with all the twinkly lights. I had to beg to get a group shot with family during the reception and they seemed annoyed that people weren't where they were supposed to be. I wish I could go back and use another photographer. What a waste!

Working with Lou, Harrison and Chris was a blast on our wedding day. They kept everything light and fun while we did our millions of prewedding pictures. Once the ceremony/reception started I didn't even notice they were there because they were great at capturing the photo without being invasive. We got our proofs back right when we got back from our honeymoon and they are amazing. They captured beautiful moments and have a very artistic eye.

We had Milton as our main photographer and Nelson as an assistant. Throughout the day Milton was calm, polite and professionalt. We have so many beautiful wedding pictures. Milton took a variety of color and black and white and we are overall happy with the quality of the pictures. I am glad we hired the assistant photographer, Nelson and we like a lot of the shots he did as well.For some shots though, I am missing the ones I really wanted or the way I really wanted them taken. I admittedly could have been more assertive, but I can also say that Milton did not come acrossed as personal or eager to personalize his service. He was professional, but we had the feeling he was just doing a job. When we met with him we tried to explain some of the special photos we were looking for and he just kept saying that "What we wanted was standard." I still to this day am deeply upset about and regret not having several photos I really wanted.We drove all the way up to Orlando one day just to meet with him and he wasn't there. The next time we met with him he just sort of made an excuse without what we felt was a sincere apology. When we were arranging the contract we had made it clear we wanted a photographer for the entire day and evening, just before signing on the dotted line Milton said he didn't realize the length of our reception and wanted to leave 2 hours early. We agreed, but it is hard to believe that with his experience a 7 hour reception is unheard of. Some things like this just rubbed me the wrong way.

We had Nelson as our main photographer. To be honest, at first I felt so lucky to be able to have Milton Gil shoot our wedding. Everyone I spoke to only had rave reviews. We had our engagement shoot during the week prior to our wedding. When we arrived I felt very rushed. We were slightly late due to not being able to find parking and were in contact with him regarding that issue. He seemed annoyed and very 'business'. I didn't feel totally comfortable and he didn't really smile at all! At the time I just figured it was because of our being a few minutes tardy. Our wedding day came and I felt he was all 'business' again!! I was very calm during my wedding, more calm then everyone else but he was making me stressed. No smiles, very quick and with, what I felt, was a tone in his voice. Todd, our other photog actually saved the day. He always had a smile on his face and took more 'sentimental' shots if that makes sense. I was not completely happy with the photos. Sure, there are ones that I love but I wish it had more style like the photos and books they present during their 'sales pitch'. Our first kiss photo was far away and in black and white...come on! I mean at least take it in color so I can have an option..I am so upset with that! I felt like I was an inconvenience to Nelson which should not have been the case! I really wish there was more creativity in Nelson's pictures and more warmth from him on the wedding day.

I'm going to highlight the pros and cons of Milton Gil which will hopfully help you make your decision. Overall my experience with them was very good.Pros:- The photographers we got took amazing photos and captured every single moment. They were understanding to our needs and wants and attention to detail. They took well over 2000 photos for the wedding and out of those photos we took home about 1200 as proofs. We had such a hard time picking the photos for the album and to blow up larger because the photos were unreal. We even had an engagement shoot and kept over 600 photos which came out amazing also.- The video guy was very nice and took well over 6 hours of video. The video came out good. Could have been better but it captured the moments and was very good.- The staff is very professional and takes direction very well.Cons - Although the photographers took amazing photos, the team in the corporate office of Milton Gil didnt put our album together very well. We were very disapointed with our first look at the album. There was no creativity or elegance to it. It looked like it was just thrown together and didnt make any sense. Some of the pictures we chose wherent even put in the album but ones we didnt choose were. They chose to not put certain photos in there and to add certain photos because to them it made sense with the flow of the album. The best part is, they didnt even ask us for our opinion on anything in terms of our likes and dislikes and style which I felt was very odd. We spent well over $12,000 and we wanted perfection. My wife and I after weeks of back and forth emails finally made the album the way we wanted it and it looks stunning. We are just upset that we technically had to design our own album and made there job easier. We shouldnt have had to do that.- Raw footage is an extra $600. This is a huge downer because the raw footage is the best part of the whole experience because you get to see things that you didnt know happened at and before the wedding. My whole thing is you assume the raw footage is included in the price so why would they charge $600 to make a copy of raw footage of your own wedding? I mean what are they going to do with it.... jerk off to it?Advice- Overall, we got what we wanted and were very happy with the end result. Before you make any decisions on your video guy and photographer, shop around, compare prices and what you get in your package deal. They are 2 seperate services and some places specialize more on video then photography and vice versa. Dont be opposed to getting a video guy from another place. Make sure you give everyone direction on what your looking for in terms of photography and your style. If you dont give them direction, they wont ask you and will just do what they want. This is your wedding, your the boss. Its also important to meet your photographer prior to your wedding to see if he mesh's well with your personality and needs. Be aware of hidden costs and fees and negotiate with them to get the best bang for your book. They need to sell you on there services so let them kiss your ass a little.Hope this helps and good luck.

I can not say enough good things about Milton Gil. Photos were the most important part of our wedding. I have a hard time giving up control of things and not worrying. In using Milton Gil I didn't have to think about how things were going to turn out one bit. I knew it was going to be everything we'd hoped for. It turned out it was more.

I found Milton Gil online through the knot and the minute I visited their web page I was in love. Their studio is gorgeous and I just felt so excited from the minute we walked in. We met with Lou (who was our main photographer) and we were so happy from that moment and knew that they would be the photographers for us. Questions were answered immediately and they were so attentive the whole day. They were on time and very professional. Lou was great about cracking jokes and getting me to laugh. I love how creative and unique they are. My pictures are absolutely amazing. Everyone I've shown has been so impressed. The whole process has been great. I can't wait to get my album.

Milton Gil is a truly professional and top quality photographer. I was nervous about having 2 photographers and a videograher and noticing them all night. But they did an awesome job of capturing nearly everyone at the wedding and doing so in such a "quiet" manner. To our surprise we got a call on our honeymoon (a week later) that our proofs were done. We just picked them up and they are everything we expected and more. You won't be dissapointed if you choose Milton Gil. We had Melinda and Todd for our photographers and they were great to work with.

Phenomenal pictures! Definately worth the cost!

I discovered Milton Gil photographers during a wedding show at Florentine Gardens. I wish I could share the experience of the other reviewers, but I am disappointed in the outcome of my photographs. We do not have one single WOW photo from our wedding, and between Lou and Alex, I was never photographed with main members of my family, such as my grandmother (only living grandparent) and my brother (only sibling), even though they were available with my wedding party during the photo session. I am also disappointed because despite asking that no photos of food be taken, we received a bunch of photos of food laid out on tables and diet coke bottles lined up. My most major complaint is that, as I heard from numerous guests, a 10 minute paparazzi session ensued when Alex realized a wedding guest was a celebrity. Although my bridesmaid tapped him on the shoulder and said he was being a bit excessive, he continued, and then took photos of my celebrity guest with the staff at the venue-- this is not what I paid the wedding photographer for and I found it to be very unprofessional.I get the sense from other reviews that Milton does a great job, and he was not with us at our wedding. Although some of our posed photos are nice, they are not as exciting as the other reviewers discussed on this website. In addition, they were careless with the backgrounds and we have i.e. a palm tree poking out of my father in law's head. Plus, they photographed my husband posing at a fire exit in the hotel-- not very nice for a wedding photo that is supposed to last for a lifetime, I can't understand why they chose that spot for his solo wedding photos, especially when it was a nice sunny day outside. The good thing is that we received our proofs very quickly, and although some different proofs were posted online we are supposed to receive a CD of all photos to keep. Also, Lou was good with making people comfortable in front of the camera.

Milton Gil Photography is a number one choice. The photographers were an absolute pleasure to work with, very patient, friendly, and exact. The quality of the pictures were magnificent. Milton Gil had the proofs back to us in a flash. The proofs were of excellent quality too. The staging of the pictures were unique, not ordinary. Five stars is a must for Milton Gil and his staff.

We found Milton Gil and booked with the company over a year and a half before the wedding. We looked at the work of many of the photographers in the area and we felt that their work definitely had a different , unique style to it. Jose and Federico were our photographers on the day of and they were nothing short of amazing. They were easy to work with, I liked the poses they had us do and I liked the fact that they weren't in our faces the whole night. We picked up the 1000+ photos that we received from the wedding day and they are everything we could have hoped for. It was really difficult to select for our album, but it doesn't matter because we get to keep all of the photos (and they aren't labeled proof). Perfect company, I would suggest them to everyone.

At editing, Milton Gil's workers were very sarcastic and blamed everything on my DJ. They made a big fuss on getting me other footage from the raw video. Apparently it was too much work. I decided not to fight and learn my lesson in going with a company that doesn't specialize in video. I now have to deal horrible footage chosen by people who weren't even at the wedding. If you see the video... you would say, "There has to be better video than this." The camera guy was in our face the whole morning and we were laughing and smiling. He told us, act like he was not there. We weren't allowed to smile at the camera. Why did my wedding video contain the worse shots? Is that what they think looks good? did they think people like this kind of stoic-face video? It?s so upsetting!!!Here is a tip for anyone getting married and using a videographer... no matter what they say, don't act like they are not there. Remember to smile and remember there is a camera recording your special day. Also, do not pay so much money for video. Just pay that extra cash if you know the person knows how to do their job. I rated Milton Gil 2 stars, just because they had a good photographer, but like I said, she's long gone.

Milton Gil is a Great photographer. We booked a high package thru them and for the most part they delivered. However, their execution on the day was a little disappointing. It was raining, so we couldn't take the pics outside. So the place he chose to shoot the pics actually had a fake camel in the background... and honestly, it makes my solo shots look like the camel is coming out from behind me. it is rather funny but i would NEVER these to be seen. I wish the photographer would have caught that as the background. other then that he did a good job taking photojournalistic shots. I would have like some more group shots, but I think we ran out of time. Overall, i think my experience isn't the normal for Milton, as he is highly recommended.

Wow is all I can say when I look at my photos. There are so many amazing photos that it's hard just choosing one! I worked with Michelle, she was my photographer and Harrison worked along side her. Michelle is amazing she has such a good eye and is a perfectionist. When we met at our first meeting I knew she understood what we wanted in a photographer.And what we wanted was someone who was laid back and not pushy, not in our faces telling us to smile, or telling us how good we look, we know we look good, you do not need to remind us. We wanted the best pictures and not posed pictures, candid shots of our family and friends. With Milton Gil we got just that. We got a good selection of posed photos but we got a vast amount of candid's that are so amazing.To this day, our friends and family who just glance at our photos are amazed. The color is so vibrant and the angles are so amazing that it makes you relive the moment with the turn of each page.I highly recommend Milton Gil, they are a bit more then your average photographer, but they DO NOT DISAPPOINT!

We chose Milton Gil Photography for our wedding. They really were just amazing. We had Milton, Alex and Nicole. Our guests just raved about them all and said they never saw photographers with such enthusiasm. Our pictures all came out absolutely gorgeous. They were not intrusive at all. They were all so great and easy to work with. We highly recommend Milton Gil. You will have the most beautiful pictures. Ask for Alex...our guests were all really impressed by him.

They were pricey but did an wonderful job. We had two photographers that covered everything!

I have always heard mixed reviews of Milton Gil... such as too expensive or too popular and wouldn’t be available. When I was shopping around for photographers I saw a lot. I saw several factory type photography places and many others. However, when I went to Milton Gil, I walked in and was impressed. As they say, first impressions mean a lot and that stayed with me on every other visit I had w/ other photographers. My husband went w/ me for our initial visit where we met w/ the owner Milton. He is very intelligent, charming and talented. We decided to think about it and eventually we went w/ our gut and decided to book them. We were super impressed w/ the pictures shown to us and the professionalism. We hit it off w/ Lou our head photographer right away. He made it so much fun. Our second photographer was Phil... He was awesome as well. . During dinner Lou showed us a slide show of pictures. Unbelievable is all I can say. They were unreal. My guests were raving about the quality of the pictures and the fact that you didn't see Lou or Phil, they were so incognito and blended in with the crowd.

Wonderful photographers. Very easy to work with, on top of everything we asked. After all was said and done- our wedding album was the cherry on the cake,absolutely INCREDIBLE.

they were extremely artistic! photojournalistic- with lot of great packages for any price range!! they were friendly ,respectful.. inquisitive.. but the best part- is that after the posed shots were taken... they were so candid that i didn't even know they were there! yet,they got a shot of everything!!!!

Milton Gil is the absolute best, hands down! What an absolute pro--we've only just begun to see our teaser shots and they are beyond fabulous, they look and feel like they should be in a magazine, what an eye! Milton and his associate were with us for the entire day, and he had another photographer join them once we got to the University Club. They all were discrete, and always there for those 'moment' shots. He had us all cracking up all day, and was so patient with my Dad, who kept on pestering him about his camera and how he takes pictures, et. I can not say enough about this man, the team of pros at Milton Gil are just hands down, fantastic.

Ok, the best photographer is Lou. He is amazing! I have over 1000 pictures to choose from and they are so creative! He stuck around until the very last minute of the night so he could photograph me in my "Mrs..." sweatsuit outfit. He was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable and definately helped me calm down before the ceremony. I highly recommend Milton Gil to anyone, even though they are more expensive, but really, you get what you pay for! I would never skimp out of photographs of all things you could get for the wedding. In the end, it wasn't about the favors or flowers...it was about my lasting memories created by my photographer. The video also came out awesome. We didn't exactly have much money to spend on the video and we decided to get it 2 weeks before the ceremony. Even though the pictures are awesome, we are thrilled we were able to play back each moment of the wedding.

They took the most amazing photos. They sent 3 photographers and 1 videographer to the wedding. They were at the houses before hand to take the pre-wedding photos and stayed up until the end. The video is gorgeous as well. They captured every little detail and didn't miss a thing! I highly highly recommend them!

We had Nelson, Maria and a 3rd assistant (can?t remember her name). They were great! I loved working with Nelson, he was fast and kept everyone and everything moving. I got my proofs back and I hard a hard time picking my favorites because there were so many great shots. We even took extra shots in Jersey City by the path station, and he stopped traffic so we could get some shots in the street! They were all really fun to work with and I will absolutely be using them again for any pictures I need in the future (baby pics, doggie pics, etc)

The pictures came out awesome, but the album takes a while to make. On the positive side, we get to keep all of our images and we have the rights to duplicate them. They were extremely nice and professional. I would def. recommend them.

They by far are one of my favorite vendors!!! Their pictures speak for themselves, however, your own wedding pictures will blow you away. Our album is gorgeous and I can not say it enough... pay for the pictures no matter what cost, they are well worth it!

Ah, what can I say about Milton. He is just amazing! We had no worries with him! We booked him 2 yrs before our wedding and during the course of the planning we became very close to him & many of his photographers. If you meet this man you will instantly be stricken by his laughter, love and amazing talent. When we 1st met Milton we were instantly BLOWN away by his work. We were so lucky to have Milton for our wedding day but regardless, everyone in his studio is just as talented. For our day we had Milton, Liz and Neil. Talk about the A team. I felt like a celebrity with all these amazing photographers snapping away! Also, we has a 2nd engagement shoot w/Liz and this women is the female version of Milton. She is incredible. She just makes you feel so comfortable with the camera. At the reception they set up their laptop with pictures that were taken during the day. I had my friends running up to me on the dancefloor saying, “Those are the most amazing wedding pictures we have ever seen. Where did you find them?!?!”. I also had people ask me if I spent $10,000 on my pictures because they are that good! We got our proofs back & everyone that I show them to, they all tell me that I should submit them to a magz. Its so flattering! If you hired Milton Gil photography you will have theee best pictures! You will NOT be disappointed! If you are considering it, seriously – what are you waiting for…RUN & BOOK THEM!!! I am thrilled with the proofs!! I can’t stop looking at our pictures. They are just breathtaking amazing!!

I absolutely loved Milton and his assistant (who's name I'm forgetting now...) they were completely professional and super easy to work with. They took like, a thousand pictures and you get ALL your proofs.My ONLY complaint is that someone didn't tell me that I should get a photographer that will sell you the rights to the photos. That way, you can make your own duplicates instead of spending $75 for a 5x7.

Milton was my photographer on my wedding day and he was the most amazing photographer I could have had. Everything turned out phenomenal. The price is a little on the higher side compared to other photographers we saw, but he was worth every penny and more. Our album came out fabulous. We had so many amazing pictures that we had trouble choosing for our album. We just loved all of his pictures that much.I highly reccommend Milton and his staff to any bride and groom to be.

We had Milton and Lou on our wedding day and I can't say enough good things about them. We have beautiful pictures that go along with our beautiful memories from that day. I would book again in a second if I had it do do all over again.

Great photographer and videographer....a but pricey but worth it. The images were great - random shots that captured the joy and happiness of that day. We had 2 photographers for the wedding...Milton was there as well and he was very professional and just an expert in what he does. Our wedding album is like a book....its great!
