By far one of the best parts of our wedding. He was so wonderful and really took time to get to know us and make the ceremony personal and it was perfect. He was very flexible with scheduling a time to meet with my husband and I as neither of us lived in the state that we were getting married in. I have literally been complimented on our ceremony from everyone at the wedding. I wouldn't look any further, if you are looking for an officiant, this is your guy! We couldn't be more thankful to share our day with him. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful Rev. Derek was to work with. From the very beginning, he made us feel very comfortable and made a real effort to get to know us. We did our pre-marital classes with Rev. Derek, too, and that was a great experience. It was important to us to have a real connection with the person who married us and the classes were a great way for us to get to know each other better. He was always available via email/cell for any questions and I really appreciated how he checked in periodically leading up to the wedding! The rehearsal went very smoothly and Rev. Derek did a great job of easing our nerves and incorporating some humor into the night. The wedding ceremony was wonderful and many guests commented on how great they thought the ceremony was, too. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing! I would absolutely recommend Rev. Derek!

Rev. Derek was a great officiant for our wedding. He provided us with a wonderful service and even got some laughs! Derek was absolutely amazing! He was very responsive during our planning process. We only met with him once and he was kind enough to travel to our house to meet us. We felt very confident with our first meeting that everything would be perfect. He was on time for the wedding and went over all of the details with us and then with the wedding party. After the ceremony, we heard so many great comments about Derek. We also wanted a blessing for our meal and Derek kindly agreed to do this for us. I'm very happy that we chose him for our wedding!

He helped us stay calm even though we were having a stressful morning and he has a great sense of humor. He was very responsive to all our e-mails and concerns. Rev Derek did an awesome job at our wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony and it started to rain shortly before the ceremony started. We made a few last minute changes in the ceremony so we weren't all standing in the rain for a long period of time... he was very flexible.
We had a number of compliments on the ceremony from guests. The groom dropped the ring (he claims "because of the rain") and we all had a good laugh. :)

We truly can't say enough good things about Reverend Derek! He was so fast to respond to our questions and great at guiding us to plan an absolutely perfect wedding!!

He is extremely detailed & organized, professional, personable, fun and has such a calming nature. We knew right from the start of planning that we were in great hands, so we never once worried about how our ceremony would turn out. Even with those positives thoughts it still somehow exceded our expectations!!! Our ceremony was exactly what we were looking for -- a simple ceremony in a non-traditional venue. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! WAHOOOO!

We also did our premarital counseling with Rev. Derek and would HIGHLY recommend that as well. Why anyone wouldn't do premarital counseling is beyond me. We go to school for years and years to prepare for so many facets of life, so why not this all important one! My husband & I feel far more prepared now to handle the things that we will encounter along our journey in our newly joined lives.

Derek was great. He completely tailored the ceremony to what we wanted, so much so that a few family members thought he was a close, long-time friend of ours.

Reverend Derek was wonderful to work with. He was very professional and responded in a timely fashion. His service was wonderfully perfect and we could not have chosen a better officiant!

We found Reverend Derek online and we could not have been happier with our choice. He responded very quickly to our original email and his responsiveness never changed. The first time we met, we ended up talking with him for a few hours about our relationship, life, and views. It was a great conversation and we knew at that point that he had to be there for our wedding. He allowed us to completely customize our ceremony and offered up great suggestions to make the ceremony even better. On the big day, our ceremony went off without a hitch. We received several comments on how amazing the ceremony was and how great Reverend Derek was. He did all of this for an incredibly reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend him to any bride!

Reverend Derek Kiewatt did an amazing job!!! Things fell through with our first minister just about 30 before the wedding. We found Rev. Kiewatt online and met up with him for coffee. Our first meeting was only an hour but my husband and I were more than impressed and touched by him. He has been doing this for a long time and we could tell that he genuinely cared about us and making our day special. We felt so comfortable with him instantly that we actually felt like we had known him for years. Any time I contacted him, he responded within 24 hours or less; somtimes only an hour later! After our ceremony, we had such wonderful comments from our guests about what a wonderful service he gave and how down-to-earth and personable he was. I think everyone raved more about him than anything else!! My husband and I find it to be both a blessing and an honor that he married us. We couldn't picture anyone else doing a better job and making our day feel any more special than he made it.

On another note, we looked up other officiants online and all the other ones were very cold and impersonable. They all responded with a canned template whereas Rev. Kiewatt respondable with a personal email. It's obvious he does this because he enjoys it and is not in it for just the money. I definitely recommend him to marry anyone that is looking for an officiant.

Derek Kiewatt was an absolute pleasure to work with, extremely receptive and open to what we wanted for our ceremony. His sense of humor was an addition to the wonderful ceremony that he put together for us! All and all it was a joy having him as part of our day!!

Rev Kiewatt is an amazing reverend. Our ceremony was somewhat unique and he really helped us create something that both my now husband and I were happy with. He actually met with us twice which was great and included in the price whereas a lot of other online officiants would have charged us extra. He was always open to different ideas and provided us with information if we needed it. He was on time and always professional. He returned my phone calls and emails within 24 hours and emailed us multiple times just to see how our planning was going and to touch base. Our guests thought that he did a great job and we received many compliments on the ceremony. I would 100% recommend Rev Kiewatt. He made our ceremony a wonderful memory, something that we can always look back on with joy!

Overall Rev Derek was a great help in making our wedding a very special event. I had doubts regarding hiring someone off the internet, however after meeting with the Reverend in person and sharing some conversation and coffee, all my worries were put to ease. I wanted a spiritual yet not very religious ceremony and Rev. Derek was very accommodating to our wishes. Thanks Rev. Derek!

Rev. Kiewatt performed the most beautiful ceremony for us! He was so warm and welcoming to our family, we felt as if he had known us all for years. His words and professionalism were so comforting to us during the wedding plannning process and we felt so blessed to have found him to marry us. On our wedding day it rained and rained, I was so stressed out about it because our ceremony was outside. During our ceremony, Reverend Kiewatt made light of the situation and tied the events of our not so perfect morning into our wedding ceremony saying that the rain and how we handled the stress of the rainy wedding day as a couple was a metaphor for marriage. Sometimes in life it rains, but we will always have each other and be surrounded by our loving family and friends to lift us up and support us through the storms. For the first time since it began raining that afternoon I laughed, a genuine laugh. I was finally able to relax and enjoy being in the presence of all that love us. Looking back I would never have it any other way. How memorable! Thank you Rev. Kiewatt for making our day so special and for saying the words that truly spoke to us. We will never forget them!

To this day, people still talk about our ceremony, and how beautiful it was. After the first conversation with Rev. Derek, we had the most comforting sense of calm. I can not thank him enough for making our day so PERFECT.

We planned a smaller family-only wedding with a very short ceremony, but we did want that ceremony to reflect us and our values as much as possible. Rev. Derek Kiewatt was able to deliver exactly what we wanted, working with us to create a nonreligious ceremony with Buddhist influence but wouldn't turn off our more "traditional" relatives. Even though we couldn't meet in person before the ceremony, we felt like he was able to get an excellent sense of who were were, and the ceremony he put together and the readings he selected were perfect for us. Email and phone communication was always prompt and we felt totally confident that our ceremony would be just what we wanted.

Our families were also very impressed with the ceremony and everyone found Rev. Derek to be welcoming, calm, well-spoken, and very good-humored. In addition, it was an excellent value for us -- for a short ceremony with no need for rehearsal, we were thrilled at the price. We are thrilled how our wedding turned out and are grateful that he was a part of it!
